i am using iPhone 5s, but after upgrading to iOS 8.0.1 I am unable to sigin my iCloud account
whenever i try to signin it shows " verification failed" / " the password you entered in incorrect"
i changed by Apple ID PASSWORD three times and tried to signin but it shows same as above - verification failed / password is incorrect
please suggest

I believe that all iPhones, purchased in Egypt, from official sources, are sold as carrier locked. So, your phone was hacked by someone so you could use it in Germany. Sorry, but that's what happens to hacked iPhones.
No one here can help you, nor can/will Apple, and since none of the carriers in Egypt offer official unlocking, your choices are not good.

I've never been able to share FaceBook posts nor seen the option using the iOS FaceBook app regardless the FaceBook app and iOS version. I can Like and I can Comment, and if I select a link or video to view under iOS 6, I can use the Share option for the link or video, but not for a post.

Cannot use iPhone 5S camera after upgrading to iOS 8.1.2

I just bought a new iPhone and used it for a day. On the second day, I updated the iOS to 8.1.2. Then strange things happened:
I couldn't use my main camera. It went completely dark and the buttons couldn't be used
The phone got heated up if I opened just several apps
Is there any way to fix it rather than getting a phone replacement? It took 30 days to get it and it's not quite acceptable for me right now. I have done the following:
Restart the iPhone
Disable all restrictions
Hard reset the iPhone
Reset all settings
Reset the iOS installation
Nothing works.
My phone is iPhone 5S 64 GB. Could anyone help? Or can I confirm that it's totally a hardware failure and I need to get the replacement?

Hi Restore Back to Factory Settings over your WiFi Go to Settings iCloud check last backup. Since ios 7 when you put your iPhone or charge it Automatically backs up to iCloud After Restore just use same Apple ID Then you will get your Apps & data back. Cheers Brian

Apple guys are deleting posts. I have found my posts have been deleted. Apple should MUST let us downgrade at least to previous release from current which was working fine.

My phone has just done this for the second time, the first time it was in warranty and apple replaced it for free. It has now happened again and as the warranty is finished I'm being told it will cost £115 to fix (replace again) I've given up and I'm now getting a new phone.

FYI, I use the POP mailserver as I need most of the information to be loaded onto my PC while on a plane / not connected to the interenet.
The primary use of mail on my iPhone is to be available as much as possible - even when I'm away from my office.

I am having this same issue on my iPhone 4. The most recent update to iOS 6.1 didn't fix it either. Has anyone found a fix for this problem? It doesn't happen often, maybe every third day or so but requires power off, power on to bring the sound back.

Have few issues after upgrading to iOS 8
- Phone hangs every few hours, reboots automatically
- Bluetooth does not work properly (call does not get disconnected or even if disconnected on phone, the car bluetooth shows call is on)
- Searching for contacts is a problem
- Apps hang (especially facebook)
Any way to go back to iOS 7 ?
Any other tips / tricks appreciated..

No way to come back to iOS 7 ...
But did you tried to reset all settings (general -> reset -> all settings) ?
For me iOS 8 was a mess on a 5S, especially car Bluetooth, and all works now fine after resetting the settings (all settings, not only network settings).

"Invalid SIM" messages almost always indicate that the phone is locked to a different carrier. If you believe that you purchased an unlocked iPhone - and not that there is a difference between "without contract" and "unlocked/SIM free", and note as well that only a genuine Apple Store could sell an unlocked iPhone; a unit frm any other dealer would be locked - you'll need to talk to the Apple Store in Vancouver. You will not be able to get support for a Canadian iPhone in Brasil.

Ipad 2 and Iphone 4 hybernates after upgrade to IOS 6

Hi , After upgrading my iphone 4 and Ipad 2 to IOS 6 , both devices go in "hibernate" mode after being idle for a while. The only way to open them is by hard rebooting. Have you expirienced similar problems ? Is there any solution to fix it ? BR Robert

Andrew is partially right. With apps that are still running, they are running regardless of being suspended or not. A restore should be her last option. as she will lose anything added since her last back up. And there should be NO reduction in speed as the update was made compatible with all phones included in the update.
I recommend the following.
1st, delete all apps on the phone that are not being used. They take memory and speed since almost all apps run in the background checking for notifications.
2nd, go disable all notifications you don't need. This will help with speed AND battery life.
3rd, location services.... Go adjust this... if you don't NEED it on, turn it off. It will reduce usage on the phone, and again save ALOT of battery life.
4th, organize apps into folders. this will ruduce "pages" on the phone, and increase speed.
5th, clear browsing history.
6th, delete emails, texts, contacts that are not needed. ESPECIALLY Spam folders!! some of us never clear spam, and there could be a large amount.
7th, Do a hard restart. While the phone is powered on, hold the home button and power button down at the same time. Keep holding while the phone suts down and keep them held down until the Apple logo reappears.
If this does not help, then she needs to take a record of all contacts shes added since her last back-up, email all photos taken since her last back up, so she can save them back to the phone,(DO NOT rely on photostream, because once the restore is done, those photos will be taken from the stream.) She will need to do the restore off her computer and the update through iTunes.

IPhone 4s activation after upgrading to IOS 8.1.2

I am being asked to activate my iPhone 4s again. I upgraded to IOS 8.1.2 several weeks ago from 7.x. The upgrade went smoothly and activation went smoothly. Now almost two weeks later the phone is asking me to activate my iPhone again . I am the original owner of the iPhone.
I can receive calls on the phone and it shows full signal from my carrier (AT&T). However, I cannot log onto the phone until I go through the activation process. I get the message "Could not Activate iPhone". I will try a restore later tonight and failing that take it to an AT&T store to check out the SIM card.
My question is this: Has anyone encountered the same problem? What was the solution (other than buying a new phone)?

Iphone 4 overheats after upgrading to ios 5.1

I have an iphone 4 and made un upgrade to ios 5.1 yesterday, and so far that was a big mistake. My phone started to overheat terribly - when I am using or charging it, and also the battery drains way too fast and it takes ages to charge it. I have tried restoring and hard reset, but nothing changes. I have searched the forum, but most people are having problems with battery drain, not the overheating.. I don't know what could be the cause of that and what do I do to get my normal phone back! Please help

I updated to IOS 5.1 today.
Under normal conditions, with the phone under no load, or stress, and away from sunlight indoors, my iPhone 4 is giving the "Temperature" warning. It has NEVER done this before, its been completely issue free.
IOS 5.1 is CLEARLY to blame Apple...... Good to see a response from the company that have done this to our phones lol.
Want some answers and a solution please Apple!
PS: The phone had actually gotten so hot I couldn't touch it at all, as it burnt my fingers. This happened in my house with windows open, plenty of breeze blowing through the room...... It has NEVER done anything like this before, until 5.1 was installed. Within 25 minutes of the update this happened....

I upgraded my 3rd Gen iPad Wifi to IOS 8, and later to 8.02 and now to 8.1. I did a complete Restore, using iTunes, and then after that, restored from my back-up on my computer. Just about everything is working great (NYTimes digital addition without additional fees for iPad, not so great but useable), but I can no longer get either "like" or "reply" to work.
Where have I gone wrong?

Try a reset. Press and hold both the home and power buttons 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds until your iPad starts on it's own.

IPhone 5 Freezes after upgrading to IOS 8

I have been experiencing performance issues on my iPhone 5 since upgrading to IOS 5. I searched the internet and performed all the recovery suggestions offered by other users. The problem seems to persist regardless of various reboots, restores and other recovery methods used. I am positive that the issue is not caused by a hardware defect and is directly linked to the new software.
As a loyal Apple User, I want to know what is being done to resolve this issue? When can we expect a new software release to fix the performance degradation as a result of the IOS 8 build? This is completely unacceptable, we need a prompt response from Apple on the matter, there are tons of people with the same issue and I feel that not enough is being done to address it.

Why not schedule an appointment with the genius bar and take your phone to Apple if you want to speak to someone from Apple.

You have encountered the anti-theft Activation Lock. You must enter the required information which is the "old" Apple ID. You will have to try and recover the password here:
