Hello! I`m a begginer in learning java.
It is strange that when i compile java program this information always apears:

Please Help with strange error.

I've searched extensively for an answer to this strange problem I'm having both throughout this forum and in Google and have come up dry. Any help would be HUGELY appreciated.
I'm using Audition 3 with a Windows XP Pro SP3 comp.
I have recorded some live music at 44.8/24 bit sample rate and used Audition to cut the individual tracks and make a few other minor editing changes. I saved the files and they play with no problem. I did this for about 10 complete live shows so this represents a lot of work and there are many files.
Now I want to downsample the files to 44.1/16 like I have done many times before with no problems. Well, it seems that about 25% of the files I've saved, although can be played with my default player with no problems can NOT be opened using Audition. I receive an "above file name is invalid" error. I also tried to open with Audacity and get the same error message. I tried to right click on these files and choose "open with" but that option, along with copy, cut, rename, properties etc is not there. The names of these files are perfectly valid but I'm unable to rename the files. When I try to move, copy or cut the file, nothing happens.
I've rebooted as well as defragged the drive but still no joy. I still have the original large files but it was so much work to edit these files I really don't want to do it all over again. I would like to know why it happened so it won't happen anymore.
I think I covered everything here but if you have questions please ask. Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening and what I can do about it?

UPDATE: I just found that Windows Media Player gives me the same error. I'm using XM Player as my audio player and it doesn't have any problems playing these files.

Are these files "real" files or perhaps shortcuts to the files, and/or are these files located on a local hard drive or on a network drive (Windows Home Server...)? The "file" name may actually be a perfectly valid name, but when you are not logged in to that server, you might get that message.
Is "above file name is invalid" the only part of the error, or is the filename (or part of it) in this error message. E.g. "04 above file name is invalid": it might indeed be possible that the spaces in the filename cause this error. But since you cannot rename them there's hardly a remedy other than to record these files again in AA whilst playing them in XM player.
There is a utility called "unstoppable copier"; it can copy files that you normally cannot copy (http://www.roadkil.net/). Try that one so we can have a look at one of the files.

Help with strange error Can't load IA 32-bit .so on a IA 32-bit platform

Hi guys
I'm stuck on this problem for so long, it would be great if some one can help me out. I use jni to build a interface to access an native library and I have successfully get in running on my development environment, but when at deployment to another box, I get the following message.
/data/tomcat/app/libXXX.so Can't load IA 32-bit .so on a IA 32-bit platform
I have checked the configuration of LD_LIBRARY_PATH to point to the dir of the libXXX.so file. Is this error caused by dynamic link library missing something when it is moved to the deployment environment ? or is it because I'm not building it properly ? or the os version version ?? Thanks a lot guys.

This error this being generated from linux when I execute the Jasper. I have jdk1.5.0_11 installed.:

HELP! strange error for apache bridge

PLATFORM: HPUX 11i, Apache 1.3.27
plugin: weblogic 7.0 sp2
there's error like the following everyday during 00am-01am:
READ_TIMEOUT [OS error=0, line 199 of ../nsapi/Reader.cpp]: no read after 300
seconds
there's only a little access during that time
But recently such error message happened during day time and users suffer a lot.
Can you help to check which condition can trigger such error?

Help! Strange error when installing RAM

I stuck a 512 stick of ram into my 12 inch iBook G4 (800 mghz) and I get kernal panics. when i run the hardware test cd it says:
Error 2MEM/101/4:DIMM1/J31
any idea what it means? it happened once before, so i returned the ram and just chugged along at 256. now i need the bump from some extra ram.
I would appreciate anyone's help. This is stressing me out

When I decided to upgrade my RAM, I bought some Kingston RAM and it came up with a similar error to the one you are experiencing. As others have already suggested to you, I returned the RAM and got sent another stick of RAM as a replacement. I have forgotten which brand it was, yet I know it wasn't Kingston, and alas it worked. I'm not saying that Kingston don't make good products, but it is just unfortunate that you received one that doesn't work. Return your RAM to your supplier, and ask for either a refund or replacement.

The strange part is that usually when that happens I get a signal 11 or some such thing in the method where the problem is..
In this case, it seems to die a lot later, inside of some other classes.
The only explanation I have is "memory trampling".. :(

I'm seeing this same issue as well. The only difference is that I have WebLogic 8.1 running on Windows 2003. I can start up the server fine as long as I'm connected to the network. When I do not have a connection, weblogic throws an UnknownHostException stating that it cannot find my server.

Sample java client not running--showing a strange error-- help urgently

I have followed all the steps, given in JDevloper help, to create and deploy an EJB onto a 9ias server and I have been successful in creating the EJB and deploying it from the JDevloper machine to 9ias machine.My JDevloper is on one machine and 9ias is on another. After deploying when I am creating a sample java client, as given in the JDevloper help file, it gives a very strange error

1. 9ias and JDevloper should be on the same machine

When I tried to debug the program I found that the line " mySessionEJB1 = mySessionEJB1Home.create()" returns a null. I really fail to understand as to why it is happening.

That's strange. home.create() should never return a null.
Do you see any exception trace on the server side?
Do you have the same version of oc4j.jar on client and server machine? Which version of Jdeveloper and 9iAs are you using?
Try copying oc4j.jar from the server machine to client machine and use that to connect to the bean.

The strange thing is that THERE IS NO FILE NAMED temps.as.
I've searched everywhere. I know that I did not create any, so
maybe Flash 9 does it. Anyone has got an idea about that?
Another strange thing is that after the error, instead of

temp.as - this is probably an issue where Flash cannot create
the temporary as file that it loads into the debugger when it runs
in the dev environment.

Strange Errors from Import Server on Schema-based maps for repeating nodes

I have already posted one thread about this, but perhaps some more in-depth information is required:
We have uploaded our schema into the console, and have mapped the following multi-node file to it:
CUSTOMER <repeating node>
MDM_CUST (new Customer number returned)
CUSTOMER(mapped back from XI for RECORD MATCHING)
CREATE_DATE (text field)
CONTACT<repeating node>
    CONTACT_NO (RECORD MATCHING : NON-QUALIFIER)
    CONTACT_SAP_NO (QUALIFIER)
     [NOTE: There are other qualifers for CONTACT, but only this one
qualifier is being returned and is the only field that would and should be updated.
The other fields should be left alone. However, it appears to overwrite EVERYthing
with NULL other than these two fields. The CONTACT_NO is the sole qualifer on
the table. It is a calculated field that equals the Auto-ID that is also produced on
the table - but obviously not mapped.]
PARTNER<repeating node>
    CUSTOMER_NO (RECORD MATCHING : NON-QUALIFER)
    PARTNER_FUNC (NON-QUALIFIER - Code given to lookup from PARTNER_FUNCTION table which has Code and Desc)

In the Customer main table, all records are matched on CUSTOMER. The CONTACT_NO non-qualifer is matched to the CONTACT qualified lookup table directly since it is the only available non-qualifier. For the PARTNER table, the three qualifiers are mapped and then a compound field is created to map to the PARTNER table entry.
We have the Configurations set at:
Default Multi-Valued Update: Replace
Default Qualified Update: Replace
Default Matching Qualifiers: None
Our record matching is: Create / Update(ALL MAPPED FIELDS) / Update(ALL MAPPED FIELDS)
When the map is reused, the repeating nodes are all recognized, be it one node or many. However, when the map is reused, it does not automatically map the values for many of the Partner fields (nor the compound field) though the fields are correctly mapped.
Also, when we attempt to use Import Server to automate the mapping, we use the mdis.ini set to
Automap Unmapped Value=True
Unmapped Value Handling=Add
Always Use Unmapped Value Handling=False
We get a very strange error saying that :
[code]Encountered a pre-SP4 map. The map needs to be upgraded to SP4.
Solution: Please, Launch the Import Manager GUI using the same source file and simply save the map.[code]
Could it be that our MDM 5.5 SP4 is not compatible with schemas generated with XI v.7 SP9?
All of our MDM is 5.5 SP4. It makes no sense that we would get THIS kind of error. Also, I am questioning our combination of these and other configurations since it doesn't always seem to do what it should

this sounds good so far. Just a short hint: you've set "Default Qualified Update: Replace". This explains why Import server "appears to overwrite EVERYthing
with NULL other than these two fields.". The reason is the replace. A replace means that the old values are completely deleted and only the new incoming ones are stored. I'd suggest to use any of the Update possibilities.
Note: the definitions you set in in the record matching step are mainly for the new records in the main table! Records in qualified look ups are handled differently! If you open your map in Import Manager, switch to tab "Map Fields/Values". Select a field that is your non qualifier. Right-Click on it and choose "Set qualified update" from the context menu. Now you can define which qualifiers can be used for the qualified look up matching. And you can define as well what should happen with new and/or existing records.
Regarding the value mapping: do you use keymapping? Or do you use simple values only? Do you save the map everytime you add a new value mapping?
Regarding the issue "Encountered a pre-SP4 map. The map needs to be upgraded to SP4. Solution: Please, Launch the Import Manager GUI using the same source file and simply save the map". This sounds very likely like a bug in MDIS and should be reported to SAP!

Strange error when Bootcamp attempts to create partition for Windows

I get a strange error when I tell Bootcamp to create a partition for Windows. I get to the Create a Partition stage. I select 20GB for Windows leaving 91GB (39GB free) for OS X. I then click Partition and it gives me the following error
*The disk cannot be partitioned because some files cannot be moved.*
Back up the disk and use Disk Utility to format it as a single Mac OS Extended (Journaled) volume. Restore your information to the disk and try using Boot Camp Assistant again.
My disk is formatted in Mac OS Extended (Journaled), I have closed all applications (besides Bootcamp Assistant) and I have even restarted and tried again to see if that might help. Nothing. I can't get it to partition. Any thoughts? Can I partition my disk manually through disk utility and then select it in Bootcamp?

[iPad Strange Error] The iPad " iPad's name " could not be synced because the connection to the iPad was reset

Hello everyone,
I've recently got a strange error on my iPad (or iTunes): I plug my iPad into my PC (it runs Windows 8 with the latest iTunes version up to now) and start iTunes to sync music to iPad. But it stops at step 2 (after backing up) and shows a message: "The iPad "<iPad's name>" could not be synced because the connection to the iPad was reset" (like the picture I attach).
Please help me to resolve this problem. It's important to me, please!

I too have the same problem, and I see that nobody has found a working fix yet. How dissapointing. I would have thought that Apple would have tried to fix this by now. Who knows how many others are in the same boat?
I am unable to sync my iPad at all. This means that I can't make a backup and so can't clean and restore it. I can't add any music. I can't get my photos off the iPad either. And so on! My brand new iPad is incapable of doing anything usefull! Don't fret Apple, I WILL tell all my friends what my opinion of your devices are.
In my opinion this is a CRITICAL FAILURE FROM APPLE!
I believe that it's undeniable that this is a stupid uniformative error message that leads me nowhere. Of course the connection went away. BUT WHY? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM IF YOUR ERROR MESSAGE DOESN'T GIVE ME ANY USEFULL INFORMATION????
AND WHY CAN'T I CAUSE IT TO SKIP OVER THE BACKUP STEP SO AT LEAST THE DEVICE HAS SOME FUNCTIONALITY?
There are no published fixes that work. The only thing close, was a recommendation to reset the iPad and try again. This didn't do anything but waste more of my time.
Hopefully, my Rant will cause someone to take a stab at coming up with a resolution. I JUST NEED TO KNOW HOW TO GET MY IPAD WORKING AGAIN.
Is that too much to ask?

Make sure that the following file exist:
/adedev1/userapp/daucbri/cl0/DAUBRI.a
It might have compiled fine but might have not moved it to the userapp
directory. This happens when you load the distribution from econsole.
Another thing I noticed is that AIX 4.3.1 and VisualAge 3.6.4 is not
supported by Forte. I think this is your problem.

for the C runtime and shr2.o. I have tried a few things to resolve these
references. I have this feeling that I am overlooking something simple.
This same c library which I have wrapped here, was successfully wrapped
and
used on AIX 4.2.1 with a version of C-Set compiler. The forte code did not
change in the port. The C code had modest changes.
This is a plea for ideas. I will even take ideas to get more ideas.

Hi Tres,
This sounds very similar to a problem that we have seen on Intel platforms with wrappered libraries, so I am guessing it is a similar scenario. When we get "Can't set up activation record for method 9 of qqlo_Object" it means a problem loading an external library. What happens is this - Forte loads the wrapper library (in your case, DAUBRI.a). After that, the operating system takes over and attempts to load any other libraries that are dynamically linked to it. This means that the OS, and not Forte, must be able to find the shared libraries. Try putting shr2.o and possibly libC_r.a in the same userapp... directory with DAUBRI.a and see if that helps. If not, try putting them in a directory where AIX automatically looks for executable modules.
If that doesn't work, let me know, and we will figure something else out.

Strange error in form

Hi all...
I'm getting this strange error when I'm filling my form. I have a form where the user input the id of a person ,click a button this call a method that fills the rest of the form and return to the same page.It works well.
The problem is there when i put a selectonemenu that gets a list of sector from the hospital, when I call the page the list is there and everything is blank(thats ok) but when I put the id of a person and click the button the form is not filled...
When I comment the method that loads the list of sectors and load the page again, the form fills ok...
Any help???

The validation error will stop processing until it is fixed. You will have to find why your value is not valid. Since the form works ok when you comment out the sectors part, then the validation error is probably occurring on that component.
Could be a number of things. Could be a type mismatch between the values in your SelectItems and the value of the SelectOneMenu. Maybe check all the values related to the components used for sector, see if you can find anything out of place.

Strange error message - linked lists (again)

I have to keep at this linked list thing if I'm ever going to really understand it!!
I have created a method to create a linked list via user input. I'm receiving only one strange ERROR, which states:
"This method must return a result of of type ListADT.Node."
And I have just started building my class ListADT...

Now why can't the error messages help
out a little more? I would have never guessed that
there was a problem with the catch block not
returning anything!!The message was pretty informative -- it told you what was wrong. If the compiler could be so smart as to be able to tell you exactly what to fix, then the compiler would be able to write code all by itself -- and then you'd be out of a job.
