Help changing table flow

I've been trying to restructure the flow of my table in InDesign and can't figure out how to do it.
What I currently have is a column of information that I want to become three columns-- so I want the cells to be structured alphabetically:
a_b_c
d_e_f
g_h_i
rather than
a_d_g
b_e_h
c_f_i

There's no definitive solution (that I know of), but I can suggest two workarounds:
1. You can edit the skin's .css.
2. You can place some formatting elements (rowLayout, cellFormat...) as containers for useful content (outputText...) in each of table's columns, and then set the color for those container elements. This came in handy in our project, since the container's color property (inlineStyle) was bound to a method on a managed bean, which allowed us to use different colors for different rows, for example mark the selected row (BTW, this is a default behavior of a table in JDev 11, which is fantastic).
Of course, 1. means that all tables in your web application will have the same (new) color, and 2. means a lot of manual work...

Change Table control Column Header text dynamically

Hi,
I have an requirement to change table control column header text dynamically.
i.e. I have about 10 columns in table control, out that need to change 5 columns header text. These header texts are stored in an internal table.
I had looked into the below link but could not get exactly how to do it.

What you will need to do is this.....
1. First replace the column Header Text box by I/O Fields and name them accordingly.
Say for example we will consider the same example which i had explained in the link.
there in the column header we want the header to change when some dates and entered into two fields which are out of table control say
Start Date: 01.01.2010 to End Date: 06.01.2010
Now we want the header to look like this,
Column No.    -        1               2             3                  4               5               6
Header label   -    01/FRI       02/SAT     03/SUN       04/MON     05/TUE      06/WED
Header name -    SPOTS1   SPOTS2    SPOTS3      SPOTS4     SPOTS5    SPOTS6
then you go as per the instructions in the link......

The weird sliding navigation is Apples pride and joy!
That TOC allows you to slide between chapters, sections and pages.
iBooks Authjor was designed to do what it does and what Apple wanted it to do.
Some things can be changed during the books production, but the " weird navigation" is not something you can change to do what you want.
iBooks Author is does not produce ePubs.. at least not as "ePub" is known from Pages, inDesign etc,.
If you want what is available in ePubs.. then iBooks Author is not the application to produce it.
You could drag a section page above chapter on and create an index type page using book marks for links - but whats the point?
People using iPads and familiar with iBooksAuthors special way of book presentation.. are quite happy its so easy to use.

Change table'owner

I would like to change table's owner without moving data (alter table move or export/import) in oracle 8i

new table will be created in DEFAULT TABLESPACE of user2 <<if you do not add a tabelspace clause. You can also specify table parameters such as pctfree and storage information if desired.
You will have to manually add (if needed) indexes, triggers, and table level constraints using this method.
If this process will need to re-done on a regular basis you might want to consider running the DDL once and using a truncate followed by an insert/select to repopulate the table.

Crystal Reports XI does not allow to change Table to SQL command?

I have report that has Table in Datasource and this table used in report and all fileds are mapped. I need to change table to SQL Command with the same result set of collumns. When I try to Update in Set Datasource Location - it does not work. CR XI allow to update Command to table but Table to Command just do nothing.
What I have to do or how I can do it?

That's probably the "Best" way to do it, and long term you'll want to start adding BOE to your work flow.
If you want to get around it, here how:
1) MAKE A COPY OF YOUR REPORT AND WORK FROM THE COPY!!! This involves some a good deal of destruction before you get into reconstruction.
2) Once you have created your command, remove the table.
3) Now the fun part... Go through report and manually change all references to the 1st table...
   report fields
   formulas
   selection criteria
   groups
   the whole 9 yards...
A short cut for the future... If you make all of your formula copies of all of your fields ( fCustomerName = {Table.CustomerName} ) and then only use the formula version of the field in the reports, you can make these changes very easily. (All you have to do is update the one set of formulas.)
Also as a side note before you get started... You may want to think twice before you mix commands with tables. You loose the server side filtering and grouping on the tables when you do that. So if you have several tables, you are better off doing the whole thing in one SQL command, do all of your filtering and sorting there and use it to replace ALL of your tables.
Basically, Graham's way is the easy way... Assuming you have access to the BOE.

Hi Yusuf,
Modifying a standard table through a program using SQL statements is highly risky. However if u wish to do it programatically and not through MM02, you have the option of using BAPIs.
Goto transaction BAPI and through the application hirarchy, goto Material Management section. There i am sure u will find some BAPIs to modify material master and they are the most stable mode of update programatically.

Toplink changes table and columns to uppercase

I found a way to make toplink not to change table and columns to upercase with setShouldForceFieldNamesToUpperCase=false setting (which should be false be default but so some reason isn't.)
However, when toplink is used with JSF how can setShouldForceFieldNamesToUpperCase be set to false? Is there a way to do it in persistence.xml or perhaps there is a better way altogether? (I know i can use @Table and @Column but that is a lot of redundant code if all the fields in java have exact match in DB and i am looking for a cleaner solution.)
My setup is a follows
toplink v2-b49
mysql 5.0 (with 5.0.5 driver)
servlet/jsp 2.5/2.1
jsf 1.2
tomcat 6.0.13

I Created that class with

But that doesn't help. Then I checked if it is being set correcly and saw that it is false even before I set it, so the default works as advertised and the var is false.
So i guess this is not the problem. Any idea what can cause it?

Change tables order

Hi
I'm trying to do a java application, using unmanaged ras, which change tables order.
I tried 2 methods but the two of them seems to have a bug.
In the first one I tried to move one table to the end and when i displayed the tabels looked just fine but when I save the report the changes are lost.
In the second I saved the table in a temporary table I removed it (after i erase manually the field from the report just to see if this method works) and then I add the saved table.This method do what I want except the fact that the newtable that I add had other connection info even if i put it the connection info from the erased table.And now is like I select the data from 2 different datasources and I don't want that.I use odbc connection and the old table has
Database DLL : crdb_odbc.dll and the new one has Database DLL:crdb_query.dll and this is not the only difference.

How to change the order of tables within sheets
Make a table active by clicking in it once to select that table, then drag it by the 'bullseye' (top left, I have placed a red circle to show the bullseye):
After dragging the table down:
Table 1 is now below Table 2.
The blue line is an Alignment Guide
Two types of Guide:
1. Menu > View >Show Rulers. Drag Alignment Guides from a ruler to where you want them.
2. Menu > Numbers > Preferences > Rulers > Alignment Guides. Turn on (tick) both guides. That allows you to align objects with *each other* (as well as with the ruler guides). These guides help to align objects left, middle, right, top, bottom.
Alignment Guides do not show unless you are moving an object.

Not possible in Numbers 3. The Sheets Pane has gone. Instead, select the entire table (click once in the table to make it active, then click on the bullseye). Copy (or Cut if you are brave). Go to another Sheet and Paste.
Also can you change the size of sheet tab width on tab toolbar, so I can see more sheets at once??
No. Let's hope this will be added in future updates. However, you can drag a Sheet tab left or right to reorder them.
Another tip: each Sheet tab shows the contents of that Sheet, with some options such as Duplicate and Delete:

Database error changing table ADR6

We have a standard job HRALXSYNC which runs in banckground everyday. The job is getting failed everyday with the error 'Database error changing table ADR6'. Has anyone faced this issue before. On the view create a new action. Fill only the Name and Text and leave the other items default.
In this event you can populate the table fields.
Bound this newly created action (event) to the onSelect property of the 'DropDownByIndex'.

Search for roles which have SE11 in their menu as a tcode and take you best pick or create your own.
The advice from the other is also good in my opinion (he who changes table fields should also change the program.... )....

As far as I understand our question you need to export data from the table into XML file.
I dont think you have direct operator within OWB (at least for ver. 9.2.0.4). But anyway, you could write PLSQL procedure using DBMS_XMLQUERY to perform XML generation and transform it with your stylesheet.
Unfortunately, this package uses DOM to work with XML, so could have a serious memory consumption while trying to export large tables this way.
