What kind of methods can I use?

Sure, we all want code to be handed over on a silver platter, don't we...
Well, most of the time, it's not that easy. I can't give you examples, but I can give you some hits:
In case of http, you'll need a webserver with a script that you can call from your midlet, that will receive the file, and put it onto your desktop (or anywhere where you'd like to have it). If you have a stand alone computer without full acces to the internet (a public socket to acces your webserver), you can't do it.
Then you have to check if you can use any of the other possibilities. All networking protocols will not be possible without a public socket to connect to). The obvious next option is IrDa. Problem with this one is that not all phones support this. So you have to make sure, your phone does. If it does, you'll have to make an application on your PC that can talk via IrDa to you'r phone (if you want to stick to java, you could try http://jir.sourceforge.net/ ). Of cource, you have to make your own protocol to send the files via IrDa to the PC.

HELP: How can I save page state on UIX page...

I have a fallowing situation:
1. I create UIX application with Wizard based on one ViewObject
2. When I get a page with ViewObject in table style I travers up and down through records and make some updates and create new records
3. But when I go back from update and create pages I always get initial browesing page.
My question is: how can I save state of browsing page when I return to it from update and create or any other page (save position look hide/show mode or anything else)?
I try to use StateManager class but I faild.
Can anybody help me or describe how can I do it on one example?

Sounds as though you want to remember the interactive state of your pages across requests.
That means you'll need to store the interactive state of your pages in something like the HttpSession that has a lifecycle spanning across multiple requests.
If you make your pages interactive using the HttpSession, then, when you navigate back from another page, they should still be in the state you left them.
The built-in data provider name for the HttpSession in uiXML is ctrl:httpSession. Use this to data bind the interactive attributes of your page, such as the disclosed attribute of HideShow.
In your event handlers, update the HttpSession to make your page interactive.
Be careful to use different keys to store information in the HttpSession for different pages.

When you create a file, you could index the name by time or something unique (iteration number for instance).
So if the vi that creates the file has a loop which keeps tract of the test cycle, then you can place the filename creation within this loop. If it is located within a sub-vi which is called at every cycle, then create the name there. Make sure you close the written file at the end of each cycle.
Use the "Open/Create/Replace File.vi" located in "File I/O" of the Functions Palette. Wire the option to Create new file.

How can I save my media/data to alternate HD in Mac Pro?

I have recently become the proud owner of a new Mac Pro. I'm really enjoying the Mac experience since buying a Macbook before Christmas to test the water.
I have a quick question that I hope someone may be able to help me with. I have a Mac Pro with two hard drives. My intention is to use one HD for system/applications and the other for media/data (with an external HD for backup).
I can't figure out how to tell OSX that I want to save all of my photos/videos/iTunes library on the "other" HD (i.e. not my system HD). I'm sure this is a "dumb" question but could someone please point me in the right direction?

Hi, Simon.
You can instruct iTunes and iPhoto to save their respective libraries to a different disk, e.g. your second hard drive. You can also move existing libraries for these apps to a drive other than your startup disk.

How can I back up my data in this situation?

I was using my MacBook Pro running Mountain Lion normally and just fine, when suddenly every click of the mouse started to result in 5 minutes of the spinning color wheel. I tried restarting, and learned that my laptop can now take up to 60 minutes just to start up. I went into disk utility, and have found that I have a "hardware problem that cannot be repaired." My MacBook Pro is literally too slow to use, and I can't repair the disk. I NEED to back up my hard drive, but when I finally managed to open time machine to get a backup on an external harddrive, I spent 2 full days to get to 8GB/500GB then something happened and it reset. Backing up would take months at this rate, and I need to save my data before I can bring it in to AppleCare. Would AppleCare cover this? How can I save all my data? It's very important. Thanks in advance.

if the backing up part is extremely obvious, why didn’t you take those extremely obvious steps such as backing up more frequently, so that you would not be in your current situation?
What I’m talking about is that you had asked if AppleCare would cover “this”, viz backing up your data from a disk “that cannot be repaired”. With a damaged hard drive, the speed from which data can be extracted from it depends upon the particular damage to the drive. Alternative ways of backing up will take just as long as trying to use Time Machine to do so, since any backup method will use the same firmware commands in the disk to be able to read the disk’s contents. Resetting NVRAM will have no effect on reading a damaged disk.
No one is asking you to go without your laptop for months. You can quite easily remove your hard disk, provide it to a data recovery service to have them attempt data recovery, and install a replacement hard disk into your MacBook Pro to use your laptop in the interim. (AppleCare would take the damaged disk before installing a replacement disk, so that’s not an option if you wish to attempt data recovery on the damaged disk.)
I hope that you’ll learn the importance of making backups more frequently from this experience.

I use a translation stage for the experiment.For each user in the lab the stage position (to start an experiment) is different.I defined one end of the stage as zero. I want to save the position , date and time of the stage with respect to zero.I want all these in one file, nd everytime I run it it should save to the same file, like this:

I know the function "write to spreadsheet file.vi"
can append the data
to file. You can use the "concatenate strings" to display the date,
time as well as data... Hope this help.

Hi, how can you save an app's data? For example, if I want to switch some applications on my iPod with those were on my iTunes Apps Library, iTunes will force to remove the apps that was on my device and sync the apps that I want onto my iPod. But once the app is removed from my iPod, its data will be erased too, so, for example months later, I want to put them back onto my iPod, I will lose all the apps data and games progress. So, I just want to know the way that people save their apps data.

Hi,
If your data is in an array, the easiest way is to use the ArrayToFile function.
It automatically creates a file and puts your data in it according to the format you provide.
If you have individual samples that you need to write once in a while, you can either collect them into an array and then use ArrayToFile or open a file with fopen and write them as they are acquired with fwrite.

hi,
in component controller create a method save, on that read the node that containing the user name and password into itab using the code wizard.now write code to insert itab to the dbtable of ur choice. save the method and activate .
now go to ur view, create a button.. on action of that call the method in the comp_controller.

It sounds like the iPod's storage has data corruption. You may be able to treat it like an external drive and use data recovery software on it, but it probably won't work because the system is telling you that the drive needs to be formatted before it is recognized.
If the problem is data corruption and there is no hardware-related problem on the iPod's hard drive, a Restore should fix the problem. But this will obviously erase the iPod's hard drive.

How can I save an app's data to my computer and then put it on a different device

I just made a new Apple ID on my iPod Touch 4thGen because my old one wouldn't let me buy anything grrrrr. So i made this new account to be able to buy things (even though i am not pleased that the old account had $10 left on it, grrrrr). I put $10 on this new account and went into Clash of Clans to buy some gems. Well since I had downloaded Clash of Clans with my old Apple ID it would not let me buy anything with the new account unless I redownloaded the app, but I do not want to do this because I would lose all my progress. So this brings me to my question, how can i get my app data back on my device after deleting it and still have the app functioning properly?
May I add that I called Apple Support on this and as soon as I asked my question, the person on the other line said the whole thank you for calling apple and then hung up! SCREW YOU APPLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT YOU ARE ABOUT AS USELESS AS WINDOWS!!!!!!!!
