Help! I Can't See My Web Page!
Good evening fellow Dreamweaver users,
I recently tried centering one of my web pages using a code that I received from Nadia for another one of my pages. The code worked for that page, but when I entered it into my second page it didn't work. I deleted the code from my second page, but now I can't see it when I go to test it in my browser. All I see is a blank white page. I'm in dire need of some help. Yes, I am an amateur and I'm sorry if my questions are bothering some of you. However, I'm trying to learn this stuff, but I get confused on where and how to place the coding and now I have messed up and don't know what to do to fix it. I would appreciate it if someone could help me get my page to be auto-centered and show up again when I test it in my browser. Below is the current coding for my page. Thank you.

I moved to Stockton in the summer of 2008 to be closer to San Joaquin Delta College, which is where I started my higher education in becoming a Graphic Designer. I will be finishing my higher education in Stockton at the University of the Pacific with a BFA in Graphic Design. I first realized my potential as an artist through my computer aided drafting and architecture courses in high school. I really enjoy coming up with creative ideas and then bringing those ideas to life using many different types of media. <br>

In 1996 I enlisted into the U.S. Army's delayed entry program. In 1997 I graduated high school and left Oakdale to go to my first duty station after I finished my military occupation specialty training. The military has allowed me to see other parts of this country and world, which enhanced my "out of the box" way of thinking. The military also helped enforce the great skills and values that I had learned growing up in a family full of military service members (i.e. discipline, teamwork, and professionalism). In the military my occupation specialty was an Infantry Team Leader, which is highly demanding both physically and mentally. Although the nature of my job in the military took a lot of intelligence the physical demands of the job was the dominant attribute. After ten years of honorable service my body could no longer take the physical demand of being an Infantry soldier. In 2007 I was given an honorable disability discharge from the military. This was the catalyst that got me started on the path of pursuing a career that would allow me to utilize my creative thinking skills, as well as the skills and attributes I developed through my years in the military.<br>

During my exploration in higher education in 2007 at San Joaquin Delta College I came across their Graphic Arts Program. I instantly fell in love and have not turned back. I feel fortunate and blessed to have found myself on a career path towards becoming a Graphic Designer. My strongest skill set is my creative "out of the box" thinking skills and this type of media allows me to not only bring my ideas to life, but the ideas of others. I couldn't ask for a better career for myself than having a career that is both challenging and constantly evolving.</span><br>

I apologize for it taking me so long to respond back to you, but I have been quite busy with trying to prepare for my Fall semester college transfer. After copying and pasting your revised code I still couldn't see my page when I viewed it through my browser. However, the code for centering the page worked in Dreamweaver, so I decided to start over by using the code you gave me to center the page as a template. After achieving this enormous task I now have a centered web page that is viewable in my browser. I want to let you know that I'm very appreciative and thankful for your help, as I was really stuck in a bad spot. Even though I have taken a web design course and have read a few books I still find myself having trouble with fully understanding how to correctly implement the coding in Dreamweaver, which I feel is a key part in becoming a great web designer. I was able to see a webpage which starts with https. However the browser was updated and 1 can't see the web page anymore. I can see it in chrome but I need Firefox due to the plug ins.
I installed FLASH PLAYER and it doesn´t work. Everything started when Firefox was installed automatically. Does anybody knows how to install a complement in google chrome for android (it is a scanned document) since i could not open the web page in firefox or dolphin, I used chrome but now I cannot see the content. I already installed PDF reader. I do not know how to enable the plug in. I read that I should go to
chrome://plugins but this page doesn´t not exist.
How can I enable it in a tablet android?

Safari keeps giving and error message. " Safari can't open the web page( insert web page here) , because it can't establish a secure connetion to the server.
It only seams to have a problem with https sites.
Any help would be appreciatedThe "s" in "https" indicates the site is a secure server--usually a site that will require a password. Connections to secure servers can be blocked by parental controls. Are you using any parental controls, either through OSX's settings (in System Preferences) or third party parental control software (such as Netnanny)? If so, check the settings to make sure they will allow the connection.

If you were using Apple's BootCamp and received this message, quit it and open Disk Uility in your Applicaitons/Utilities folder.
Select the Macintosh HD partition on the left and select Erase and Erase Free Space > Zero option and let it complete (important) this will check the spare space for bad sectors that can cause issues formatting partitions.
Once it's completed, try creating a partiton again in BootCamp.
If that doesn't work, then hold command option r keys down while connected to a fast internet connection, Internet Recovery should load (spinning globe) and then in that Disk Utility, select your entire internal drive and click > First Aid > Repair Disk and Permissions.
reboot and attempt Bootcamp again.
If you still get a error, it might be that you have OS X data on the bottom area where BootCamp partition needs to go. This would occur if you had the drive or computer for a long time or wrote a large amount of files to the drive and nearly filling it up and then reduced some, but it left traces in the area BootCamp needs to go.
To fix this
BootCamp: "This disc can not be partitioned/impossible to move files."

Nope. The iPad (and iPhone and iPod touch) cannot execute Java applets. It's a limitation in iOS from the beginning (just like lack of Flash). You will either need to use a desktop computer or access a desktop computer via RDP or VNC to access that page on iPad.mIn short: there is no native way to use a Java applet on iOS.

I can not load a web page? I have gone through the help pages so many times. Removed, reinstalled, checked preferences, checked proxies, cleared cache, checked security settings. I have tried disabling plugins and addons. Can anyone offer a possible solution? On Mac.
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Apple doesn't have any built-in ad blocking components in teh OS or in Safari...so what ad blocking program or Safari extension are you using? It should have the ability for you to change its settings.

I've just upgradded to iLife '08. When I try to save a web page the same as I had with the previous version of iPhoto, it doesn't work. The following steps are taken:
Highlight eight photos in a folder
Select File>Export
In the Export Photos window, select Web Page tab
Make other selections on the page and click Export
Then I've tried various file destination folders and the Desktop
When I click OK, an Exporting sub-window appears for a moment, then it changes to say
Unable to generate web page and only gives me the option to Cancel
It gives me no clues as to why it is unable to generate a web page. It has created the folders for the Images, Pages and Thumbnails but there isn't anything in those folders. I believe this is the same steps I used many times with iPhoto '06 to create a web pages.
Does anyone have an idea on how to save web pages with the new iPhoto? How can I revert back to the old version of iPhoto?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Try the following:download and run BatChmod on the iPhoto Library folder with the settings shown here, putting your administrator login name, long or short, in the owner and group sections. You can either type in the path to the folder or just drag the folder into that field. See if this will help.
Next, log into another account or boot into Safe Mode and see if you can export to a web page. If so then there's something amiss with your account. If not, then a reinstall of iPhoto seems appropriate.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file. -
Hi, I've installed teaming 2.1 on a sles11 x64 virtual machine. I've used sun java jdk 1.6.21. After install I start the teaming server but then can't access the web page (I've used port 8080 in the URL). I used default network settings. I believe the mysql database has been created correctly. I think the problem is with Tomcat/java. I've included the output of tail --f catalina.out

the path shown in the first line of this output is not what I specified for java during the installation of teaming (I used /usr/java/jdk1.6.0_21). Any help would be greatly appreciated

Have you set an environment var for the JAVA_HOME?
you can set it system wide, create or edit /etc/profile.local, and add:
export JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/jdk1.6.0_21
Then reboot the system so the env var gets set globally.
If the site is still not accessible, rerun the Teaming install choosing to reconfigure, double check the JAVA_HOME path set and see if that does the trick.

Since the last 3 upgrades (thru Firefox 7.0) I can't print a web page. This is true using 2 different printers. I have an iMac 10.6.8.
Just read that the default memory storage on FF is set to 5 mbs. You can up that by clicking on tools, advanced and overriding the default and set it to 50 mbs (if you use lots of tabs) or 10 mbs (if you use just a few).
I open a blank tab and clear the cache periodically, while I am working. I can have several tabs open and watch videos on Youtube, by doing this. Have you cleared your cache?
Since I have an older computer, I've also used CCleaner for years. I use it often, but always before signing off. You can get it free...search for CCleaner, download from Pirifoam free. I didn't change any of the settings and it clears crap left behind from uninstalling programs, clears all browsers at once of: cookies, history, passwords, etc. I love it!
I had freezing, before using the "open blank tab, clear the cache" thing. Now I have no problems. Plus, as I said...you can change the default memory usage for FF and that should help too.

Just updated to 8 & now I can not open any web pages as well as firefox will not close out, it still running in the background after browser was closed. I uninstalled and reinstalled as well as disabled add-ons and plugins nothing has changed, can I downgrade back to on older version?

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

I can't see the "Faces" page. I can see each face when i click on it, and i can change the person by clicking the arrow on the top right corner, but I can't see all the faces together. When I try to do so, iphoto explains me how to use the faces recognition, like when I opened it for the first time.

Sorry for the delayed response. Have you configured your weblogic instance for jrf (ADF libraries) if so, you should be able to deploy the thin ear fine. If not you need to deploy the thick ear.
