Help...I cant download my songs to my iPod

Hi,
I just got my video iPod 2 days ago and that was the last time it worked. I was able to download some songs and when I went on later to download more, iTunes had an error and deleted everything. Now iTunes says it is downloading and then says complete but there are no songs on my iPod.
I updated iTunes but the iPod updater will not work. Can anyone help?

I can't export songs from my PC to my Ipod. Do I have to have ITunes installed for that. I want to export songs (not Itunes) I already have on my PC to add to my Ipod.
Can I do that? Also using a Universal dock with USB/Firewire. I don't not have a Firewire connection on my PC. So I have my Ipod in the dock with Firewire connected to the AC Charger and the USB connected to the Dock and PC.
I do have iTunes and Updater installed on my home PC but neither of those at my work PC.

You have to download the iPhone version of the app - if there are two different versions and if you do not want to pay for the iPad version.
Look in the App Store for the iPhone version and then try to download that one,

I plugged my ipod into the computer, it "interacted" briefly, but when finished, the new songs were not on the ipod. (It is an older ipod I have had for years). I just read on a different post how to access the latest itunes program update. I did that, then plugged the ipod into the computer again. The ipod is now real busy interacting with the computer a lot longer. Maybe that fixed it. I will let you know after it is finished. Thanks for the help!

I created my itune store in Thailand. However, i cant download some songs or tv show with my Thai Itune Store. What can I do to change it so that I can download songs and tv from USA.

You would have to see which type of things it is blocking. Most likely to do with copyright law of your country or where the content is alowed to be distributed. If it's a genuine problem you should maybe try using a proxy server though.

You can only sync to one computer, unless it is set to manual. The easiest way is to have the music in his library at any rate.
If it is purchased music it is tied to your account and would need to be authorized to play on other computers, I wouldn't advise going that route.

When you get anything that says your network connection timed out it either means you lost internet connection or there is something blocking the connection between the computer and the servers that it is trying to connect to.
If you have a solid internet connection and can browse to websites fine it's either an anti-virus program or a firewall on the computer OR a firewall in the router's settings that you use to connect to the internet.
Reconfigure any security software to allow Apple's servers to pass.
Useful information for configuring your security software:
IMPORTANT: iTunes must be allowed to contact Apple using the following ports and servers:
          ▪          port 80
          ▪          port 443
          ▪          phobos.apple.com, deimos3.apple.com, albert.apple.com, gs.apple.com, itunes.apple.com, ax.itunes.apple.com, ax.init.itunes.apple.com, ax.phobos.apple.com.edgesuite.net

Temporarily disable or uninstall your security software

Cannot Download Some songs to the iPod Shuffle

I just bought a new iPod Shuffle. I have iTunes 7.0. I cannot download, or sync, or Autofill, or drag certain songs to the shuffle. I get error messages like: "Some songs cannot be copied to the device because 'the song' cannot be played on that device". So far all these songs are *.aif files. I tried converting it to AIFF but that didnt work either.
I have a regular 20G IPOD and I was able to download these songs to it. Someone please help!!!!

Thank you very much Michael. I see that in the users guide. I am dumbfounded!! AIFF is an Apple fomatted file!! How is it that an Apple device (iPod Shuffle) doesn't support its own file formats!??! OMG!! Somebody please tell me I am not crazy.
I fixed the problem by ripping the song as an MP3 file. Apparently this Apple device supports MP3 files, but not their own AIFF propietary file formats!

download.
Besides that option and of course getting non copyrighted music any other options would be illegal and no one on these forums is allowed to point them out to you.

Cant remove 2 songs from iPad iPod library

I've removed all songs from my ipad but there are 2 songs that will not delete for some reason. Same song from same artist duplicated. Any idea how to delete this without doing a complete reinstall??

I'm also assuming that the first thing you tried was to remove the songs in the iPod app, tap edit, then tap delete and that didn't work. The one final thing would be to restore from a backup, if the songs are not on the backup. if they are, maybe something screwy occurred on your iPad since you first tried this and maybe the backup would not be screwed up. Then you could try the whole delete and resync thing again.
Were these songs that you downloaded from iTunes or were they songs that you imported on your own from a CD? My reason for asking is if they were downloaded, maybe they were somehow corrupted in the process, or it was a messed up import, but I guess you would have realized that by now if that was the case and problems would have arisen when you tried to play the songs.
Wish I had something else for you to try and I know nothing about Windows if the issue is on that end for whatever reason. Hope you get this resolved.
