HELP IN Creating customized Oracle Object from Java

How can I create a customized oracle object that has these 3 fields with data persistance:
NAME : VARCHAR2
INSER_DATE : DATE
OBJ:user-defined collection(oracle.sql.array)
using JAVA. Later, that oracle object is enqueue in Oracle avanced Queue.
I've been looking in this site for the answer but had no luck.
I am using Java 1.2 and Oracle 8.1.6.
Any help will be appreciated as I needed so badly. Thanks.

Hi
I assume your attempting to generate a Java class with the approriate getters and setters. If so the JPulisher utility is what your after. You can access it from either JDeveloper or the command line... Its documented in the Oracle Java manuals (jdbc etc.)...
A piece of advice... especially if you using AQ and ADT's or oracle's jms implementation against AQ, make sure you use the Oracle 8.1.7 jdbc drivers, even if your accessing an 8.1.6 DBMS. The performance difference is significant

    Hello Mithun,
    Does this section in the documentation help you:
    SAP Cloud Applications Studio Help -> Developers Desktop -> Web Services
    The entry "Task -> Create a Web Service" describes how to create a Web Service on your own BO
    The entry "Task -> Test a Web Service" helps you how you can use it in a foreign tool / application.

  • How to use Oracle objects in java code

    Hi all!
    I'm reading an xls and i need to fill me oracle objects with java code:
    OBJECT_NAME OBJECT_TYPE
    LETTURA_OBJ TYPE
    LETTURA_OBJ TYPE BODY
    In the past weeks i've been using both java code into oracle and oracle objects, but new i need to write those objects with data i read with java, anybody can help me?
    I know that the easiest work around would be to put the data i read from the excel file into a table and then fill the oracle objects, but now i want to learn how to write directly those objects with a command like the following one:
    a sample of the code i'm tryng to write:
    CREATE OR REPLACE AND RESOLVE JAVA SOURCE NAMED REPORT."Manage_Excel_ASMBS" AS
    import java.io.*;
    import java.io.IOException;
    import jxl.*;
    public cass ....
    #sql{  variabili_globali.var_ER_F3.Tipo_Lettura := 5}
    thanks,

    well... as i told before i'm working in oracle database environment and i'm developing a java procedure.
    now, i have this object

    MATRICOLA_CONTATORE VARCHAR2(1000),
    POTENZA_DISPONIBILE VARCHAR2(1000),

    /and i need to work with it inside this procedure:
    CREATE OR REPLACE AND RESOLVE JAVA SOURCE NAMED REPORT."Manage_Excel_ASMBS" AS

  • Returning objects from Java stored procedures

    I need to pass an object from Java to a Java SP which updates the object and returns the object back. The Java SP will be calling a PL/SQL procedure which returns some nested tables that I want to stick into the passed object.
    I tried using "IN OUT" for the object in the call spec but got an error that it was not "appropriate for the parameter". So, the next option seems to be to pass it in and then return it from the Java SP. I'm just wondering though what the the best approach for accomplishing this? I've looked through some of the sample code on the OTN but haven't found anything yet that really helps.

    I am trying to use custom object classes. I have setup a type map for the connection and my custom class implements SQLData. Yet, when my client tries to call the Java SP, it gets ORA-00932 complaining of inconsistent data types (expected IN conversion failed).
    I turned on some debug info (i.e. oracle.jdbc.sql=true) but it didn't provide any useful info in regards to why I'm getting this error. Unfortunately, the JDBC Developer's Guide does not provide full examples of the code.

              dataSource =
    (DataSource)jndiContext.lookup("java:comp/env/jdbc/DWM3DDS");
              Connection wsConn = dataSource.getConnection();
    Looks like this exception occurs when I am casting java.sql.Connection object to OracleCallableStatement. Do you have any idea why this might be occuring? Have you encountered this kind of a problem?

    Hi tomhowell,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you created a site from a custom site template after migrading SharePoint 2010 to your server.
    Did you have the original solution file of the site template? Please re-deploy the solution to your SharePoint site, then create a site from the new site template, compare the result.
    Also use  SPDisposeCheck to indentify the memory leak:

  • Nested Custom Oracle Objects as interpreted by JDBC

    Hello,
    I have a number of nested custom oracle objects that all extend ORAData and ORAFactory. Should I specify one object, it has no problem writing it to DB using OracleCallableStatement. But I need to write this custom oracle object with another (few) subobjects below, so I created different classes which all extend ORAData (.toDatum) of their own, and map to corresponding oracel objects, but now that I try to do SetObject -- I get
    java.sql.SQLException: Fail to convert to internal representation: prog.objMyObj@131303f
    so my question is: Can JDBC handle "nested" custom oracle objects? Or is it simple types only as part of one struct ?

    Doing the following should provide a correct tree. Try it with a simple example first.
    1. Create a type that you want in the database.
    2.Extract it using jdbc.
    3. Write it back without modification. If this fails then I would guess that you simply can't do it with the driver.
    4. if the write works then traverse it and print out the name of each object in it.
    If you get to the last step then it will allow you to determine the correct types (if you traverse it correctly.) You can then try more complex examples so you can figure out the correct way to produce it.
    (Note that if was me I would try to eliminate this entire thing. But then I am not a big fan of weird database objects.)

  • Cannot Acccess Applet Object from Java Script

    Hi,
    I am using jRE1.5, and Kava Chart Applets. Those applet jars are compiled in jdk 1.5 version. I have created one jsp where I used ,<applet> tag. The problem is when ever I am going to access the applet object from java script it is not returning the actual java applet object, when put an alert message it shows [object]. So i am not able to access the methods or the applet class.and also the screen gets hung, nothing is coming.It get stuck at the point where i tried to access the applet method like document.getElementById(applet_id).<<<some method of the applet class>>.Also it is not showing any kind of javascript error or Applet class exceptions.
    But the strange thing is, when i use jdk 1.6, the page is running fine.Also when i try to print the applet object from javascript it is showing the proper class name.
    Please help me solving the problem.

    A number of changes and improvements were made between 1.5 and 1.6 - the entire plugin is new. You need to change to 1.6, as 1.5 goes EOL about November this year and future changes to this area in 1.5 are unlikely.

  • How I can create a XML file from java Aplication

    How I can create a XML file from java Aplication
    whith have a the following structure
    <users>
    <user>
    <login>anyName</login>
    <password>xxxx</password>
    </user>
    </users>
    the password label must be encripted
    accept any suggestion

    Let us assume you have all the data from the jsp form in an java bean object..
    Now you want a xml file. This can be acheived in 2 ways
    1. Write it into a file using java.io classes. Say you have a class with name
    write("<name>"+obj.getName+</name>);
    bingo you have a flat file with the xml
    2. Use data binding to do the trick
    will recommend JiBx and Castor for the 2nd option

  • Need help in creating custom crosstab reports

    Hello
    I need some help in creating custom crosstab reports.
    My current report shows the number of events that have occured over the time in a day
    The events and the eventdetails are read from the database before being printed on the crosstab
    i.e something like this.
    Note : there are no events between 3:00-3:59,5:00-5:59;6:00-6:59,7:00-7:59  (not present in the database)
    hence not displayed in the reports
    *08/07/2009*         01:00        02:00         04:00          08:00          10:00*

    Hi,
    It seems that you are having issue with Crystal Report Design.
    Post your question in [Crystal Report Design Forum|SAP Crystal Reports;
    That forum is monitored by qualified technicians and you will get a faster response there. Also, all Design queries remain in one place and thus can be easily searched in one place.

  • How to create a oracle database by java code?

    how to create a oracle database by java code?
    please give some ways then that way's code

    I'm not sure what you mean with "database". Do you mean an Oracle instance or an Oracle user/schema (probably the latter, because that's the equivalent to a MS SQL Database).
    Creating an instance is definitely not possible from within Java. To create a new user this should be possible, as this can be done with SQL:
    GRANT connect,resource TO <newuser> IDENTIFIED BY <password>;
    I'm always cautious with questions like this. In 90% of the cases there is something wrong with the initial design. Creating a database shouldn't be something the application is doing.

  • Can I create a network object from CIDR format or do I need to use IP - netmask?

    Have a cisco ASA running ASA V 8.3
    Wondering what the correct syntax is or even if it is possible to create a network object from a list of IP's in CIDR format?
    Typically just do this:
    Create network-object
    object-group network name
    network-object 1.2.3.0 255.255.255.0
    Would like to do this:
    network-object 1.2.3.0/24
    thanks!

    Hi,
    As far as I know the ASA does not support entering a network/subnet mask in such format in any of its configurations.

  • Parse errors while creating a Web service from Java class!

    Can anybody tell me please, is it possible to create a Web Service from java class where the input from user is required ?
    I have the following program, which is successfully compiled, but when I'm trying to make a web service in JDeveloper, the following error occurs:
    "Validation failed.
    The implementation class primePackage.isPrime ofport type MyWebService contains parse errors."
    import java.io.*;
    import java.util.*;
    class isPrime
    public static void main (String args[])
    Scanner reader = new Scanner(System.in);
    int n;
    System.out.println ("Enter a number you want to know is it prime or not");
    n=reader.nextInt();
    if (isPrime(n))
    System.out.println ("True");
    else
    System.out.println ("False");
    static boolean isPrime (int n)
    int i=2;
    while (i<=n-1)
    if (n%i==0)
    return false;
    i++;
    return true;
    }

    Hi,
    Can anybody tell me please, is it possible to create
    a Web Service from java class where the input from
    user is required ?Yes, the parameters of your method will be mapped in WSDL.
    But i've some considerations about your code.
    I suggest you change the name of isPrime do Prime, its a good code convention to put the name of class starting with Upper case. and isn't good the name of class equals to name of method.
    I suggest you to change the "static boolean isPrime (int n)" to "public boolean isPrime(int n)" to publish a method as a WebService method it's must be public and not static. After this change try to generate your Web Service.
    Regards.

  • How to create a Document object from a string.

    If I use the following code, the input String cannot contain "\n", otherwise, it generates errors.
    in the following code, inputXMLString is a String object that has xml content.
    DocumentBuilderFactory factory = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();
    DocumentBuilder builder = factory.newDocumentBuilder();
    Document document = builder.parse(new InputSource(new StringReader(inputXMLString)));          How can I create a Document object from a string with "\n" in the string?
    Thanks.

    If I use the following code, the input String cannot
    contain "\n", otherwise, it generates errors.That's going to be a huge surprise to thousands of people who process XML containing newline characters every day without errors.
    Perhaps your newline characters are in the middle of element names, or something else that causes your XML to be not well-formed. I'm just guessing here, though, because you didn't say what errors you were getting.
