Help in Junit
hi there
i have downloaded Junit3.8.2 the zipped file to C:\Program Files\Java\
and i extract the file in the same place and i have been trying to run a very simple test from the command line but i've been getting errors
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:junit/samples/AllTests
it seems like its not finding the CLASSPATH so
i tried to set the path from the command line
set %CLASSPATH%=C:\Program Files\Java\junit3.8.2\junit.jar
and still not working. i'm not sure if the command is correct for windows.i also tried to do the same from the Control panel but still same error.
i'm also trying to get it to run on a linux operating system (in my school) but still get same problem , i also would like to know what is the right command for setting CLASSPATH in linux (as well)
THANKS
Ok, I succesfully did it on my machine. Steps:
1) Download junit3.8.2.zip to dwnlds/J2SDK/libs/junit
2) $ cd dwnlds/J2SDK/libs/junit
3) $ unzip junit3.8.2.zip
4) $ ls ls junit3.8.2/
README.html cpl-v10.html doc/ javadoc/ junit/ junit.jar src.jar
5) $ ls junit3.8.2/junit/samples/
AllTests.class AllTests.java SimpleTest.class SimpleTest.java VectorTest.class VectorTest.java money/
6) java -cp junit3.8.2/ junit.samples.AllTests
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: junit/framework/Test
7)java -cp junit3.8.2/:junit3.8.2/junit.jar junit.samples.AllTests
Time: 0.729
OK (131 tests)What about your machine? Try to follow the missing steps.
Edit: Check the sixth (spelling correction please!) step. The java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: points to a different class! You may be overseeing (spelling again plz) it.
BTW, junit.samples are not inside a jar. they're src and classes directories

Help Viewer prompts AFP search for unfound IP address
When I launch Mac Help on my MacBook Pro (10.4.6) I get an alert that AFP is unable to locate 10.0.1.51 (which was a prior IP address of my desktop Mac when I was using an original AirPort Base Station and I had a PowerBook G4 1GHz from which I migrated to the MacBook). MacBook now connected to my network through Actiontec GT701-WG wireless gateway (Qwest DSL) using local IP addresses of 192.198.x.x.
I've reset Mac Help per Dr. Smoke instructions. This aberration occurs only in the user account migrated from the TiBook.
I've tried Dr. Smoke's internet ping and got less than 20 pings (19) and some packet loss.
Console log from my last MacBook restart followed by launch of Mac Help follows:

Spilled Liquid on Keyboard!!!!!!! NEED HELP
Spilled Liquid on Keyboard!!!!!!! NEED HELP
Posted: Jun 23, 2009 6:32 AM in response to: ovacs Reply Email
Hi,
I spilled juice on my keyboard and at first it was just my left shift key that didnt work then the keyboard would only be in caps. Now it is acting really slow as well when I open and close things it looks like its sucking them away.
I took it into an apple retailer who said to keep it tipped upside down for a day and said he could replace the keyboard. Then I went to a Apple store (one on their site) who said they could open it up (for more of a cost) and see what was wrong.
Any advice would be great. Is it fine to just put it between books and keep the keyboard facing down. Blowdry?
ThanksLiquid spills are usually disastrous — more so when the spilled liquid is sugary and acidic like fruit juice. Your keyboard will certainly need to be replaced because the keys will become sticky as the liquid dries. Your warranty is now substantially or wholly invalid too, so not only will the spill repair not be covered, but subsequent problems you might encounter won't be covered either, at least not unless you pay Apple to go through the machine completely and replace every part that was affected by the spill. I'm not sure whether your warranty would then be reinstated or not. I hope it would. You should ask.
Simply letting the machine dry with sugary residues inside will be a mistake: Whenever the weather is humid, the sugar will draw moisture out of the air and get sticky again, and the acids in the juice residue will corrode any metal parts with which they are in contact. That's a recipe for a short-lived MBP.
Read this article:

Tekserve is obviously interested in promoting its own services, but the article also contains a lot of good information about what must be done to clean and repair a spill-damaged Mac. -
I've been trying to run an overly simple test case that I have added to my project with no success.
I found by searching help that JDeveloper has an extension for helping with JUnit called "JUnit Integration." I don't have this extension installed and when I "Check For Updates" it is not listed. Where can I get this extension since it's not been offered in the updates wizard?
Also, has anyone been successful in running JUnits within their project, within JDev for 11g? If so I would love some tips and suggestions.
Up until now our developers are relying on the external build process to run their tests or pulling the code into another IDE.
Thanks!
AlYou should see the extension in the check for update if you are using the latest JDev 11 version (TP3).
If you still don't see it, download the file from here:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/101/update/center.xml#oracle.jdeveloper.junit
Then point the check for update to this local file. -
I am new to eclipse and nitrox. Have been building webapps for years with IDEA.
1) I find info in eclipse help concerning Junit based testing, I find nothing about unit testing in NitroX help. The webapps I am trying to import and build in NitroX must support unit testing. Eclipse Junit based help does not work for me in NitroX webapp.
2) I have created several types of new webapps in NitroX accepting default parameters in wizard hoping to see how NitroX would lay out a new development environment. None of the results comes close to the development structure described in eclipse help. I find a src folder inside WEB-INF folder. This does not make sense to me and I can find no explanation of what NitroX expects with regards to project structure other than the existence of WEB-INF just below webapp context folder. My ultmate goal is to use both NitorX and IDEA accessing the same CVS repositories. So far I have imported several existing webapps via 'folder import' of source tree, but NitroX does note 'see' my testsrc or testbuild branches and I can not run tests except via my own custom Ant scripts. Any suggetions?

If you have a Java class that extends JUnit, then in Eclipse, when you're in the Java-perspective, you can right-click on that class, "Run As..." and select "JUnit Test." That'll give you the JUnit Green or Red bar based on whether the tests succeeded/failed, etc.
NitroX = Eclipse + Struts functionality. Anything you could do in Eclipse, you can do using NitroX.
You could, for example, switch to the Java-perspective and perform JUnit testing exactly as in Eclipse without NitroX. Or, if you're in NitroX's "Web" perspective, you can go into Package Explorer and run JUnit tests from there.
Re: 2)
NitroX puts a "src" folder in your WEB-INF and sets that to be a source code folder, probably so when the application is deployed on the server, the source code is also on that server (in the isolated-from-the-web WEB-INF directory), which can be beneficial for several reasons, including your development environment and CVS server crashing.
You could delete that folder, though, and use a folder you created yourself as a source code folder for that project. You'd just have to make sure that when you designate that source code folder (via: right-click on the project -> Properties -> Java Build Path -> Source Folders), you designate the output target of that folder to be /WEB-INF/classes. That'll make sure that, regardless of where your .java files are, your .class files will be placed in the appropriate folder inside your web application structure.
Regarding NitroX not "see"ing your testsrc or testbuild branches (I assume you mean "folders" instead of "branches" ...), I'm assuming you're using NitroX's "Web" perspective, and looking for those folders in the AppXplorer window. Since your JUnit tests are not a part of the Struts application, you won't find them there -- instead, click over to the Package Explorer view, or switch over to Eclipse's Java Perspective, where everything will behave exactly as you'd expect.
I hope this helps .. -
Can't start after Mac OS X 10.7.4 upgrade
Just did an upgrade to the latest version of OS X 10.7.4. Once restart, the MBP stops and a message of "You need to restart your computer. Hold down power..." Did all that, still same message. Did a safe mode start up, but same message. Saw something with regard to kernel panic. But didn't see of what to do or how to fix the problem.
What should I do? If it can't be fix, is there a way to start and restore from time machine? How? Because it stuck at the start up screen and nothing I can do.

I don't know how old macbook pro you have.. so i just saying if you have one-year warranty still active then home repair is very bad idea (avoid the warranty) Sry about misssplellings

Invalid signature error message
Hello,
I am receiving this message while trying to updateiTunes software:
"iTunes" has an invalid signature.
I tried to download then install manually and get the same errors.
The box is checked in Internet options to allow if invalid signature.
I found this answer but the link is not available any longer. Is there another fix available?

Currently Being Moderated Re: «iTunes» has an invalid signature. It will not be installed.» HELP!
Jun 24, 2012 7:46 AM (in response to fimeck)
Go directly to Apple link to download
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1426
Select "Save" instead of "Run". Once downloaded, right click the iTunesSetup.exe or iTunesSetup64.exe and select 'Run as Administrator' to install.
Thank you
PattyI've had this problem for awhile in Windows XP SP3. Last night, the simplest thing occurred to me...here's what I did (and I'm telling because it worked).
1. Clicked on Start
2. Clicked on Control Panel
3. Chose Add/Remove Programs
4. Found Apple Software Updater and clicked Remove, then responded Yes
5. Went to apple.com and clicked on Support, and then Downloads
6. Downloaded the latest version of Safari ONLY
7. Installed Safari (knowing it would install the latest version of Apple Software Update)
8. AFTER the installation was complete, I clicked again on Start, then All Programs
9. then, clicked on Apple Software Update -
BDC for CO production order (KKF1)
HI All,
I have a requirement where i have to create a BDC for creating a CO production order using transaction KKF1.
But the catch in this requirement is that i should create the CO order not using the default plant valuation type, instead the batch valuation type of the material should be fetched from MCHA table and used.
The transaction KKF1 do not have a entry field for valuation type, the valuation type of the plant for which the material is defined is taken as default by the system,
Incase the valuation type of the plant do not match is not maintained for the material, a pop-up comes indicating of an error and an option to change the default valuation type.
Please suggest me how i can change the default valuation type or how i can tackle this issue in my BDC.
Thanks in advance, any help is appericiated .

For the first error and looking from WebLogic perspective "<EJB> <BEA-010065> <MessageDrivenBean threw an Exception in onMessage(). The exception was: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError." because MAXPERMSIZE in the start<servername>.cmd|SH is configured to small for the application. Normal solution should be increase MAXPERMSIZE . But you are also getting this "<BEA-010216> <The Message-Driven EJB: oimKernelQueueMDB is throwing exception when processing the messages." I recommend you to open an SR in Oracle Metalink to solve these errors.

Thiago L Guimaraes. -
Mail (and other mail apps) suddenly giving server time-out error.
...though browser, webmail, iPhone and iPad connections via same router (whether wifi or powerline) are fine. Turning firewall off and disabling anti-virus makes no difference, so it looks like e-mail protocol. ISP has checked their end and no issues. A local expert doesn't know where to turn next - can anyone assist, as I need to have my regular e-mail client working to run my business.
Early 2008 iMac running Mountain Lion regularly updated, 4GB RAM.
Thanks,

Fireworks CS3 OS X constant crashes with complex files
I recently purchased CS3 and started using Fireworks CS3
instead of Photoshop for web development. Absolutely love it. I
started having crashes, mainly on opening complex files created in
Fireworks CS3. A couple weeks ago I formatted my entire system,
starting completely from scratch, only installing the applications
and fonts that I absolutely needed. Nevertheless, I continue to get
Fireworks crashes, which appear by the logs to be related to a
memory leak in Fireworks.
If Fireworks only crashed itself, the issue would be bad
enough. But it brings down several other apps with it. The apps are
different each time. Sometimes it crashes Mail and Dashboard
Calendar, sometimes it crashes Firefox and iCal. Rarely does it
crash only itself. And rarely does it crash all programs. It's
usually a random selection of apps.
All other CS3 apps have worked beautifully. All other apps on
the box work great. And the log is filled with stuff like:
quote:
Adobe Fireworks CS3(299,0xa000cfc0) malloc: *** Deallocation
of a pointer not malloced: 0xfcc2a8; This could be a double free(),
or free() called with the middle of an allocated block; Try setting

So it's definitely a Fireworks issue. And it's too bad. I
love Fireworks for Web Development. Any updates or suggestions
would be appreaciated.
My system: MacBook 2ghz Core Duo, 2gb ram, 100gb hard drive,
Mac OS 10.4.9
Thanks,
BrianHeaven forbid, Linda! How dare a Fireworks user talk about
his problem with yet another buggy Macrodobe product. The nerve!
Telling him to contact your support is like telling him to contact
the man in the moon because you've run out of cheese.
Brian, I share your frustration. Fireworks has become
completely unstable for me with large or complex files on my Mac.
It works much better on my PC though. It has been my experience
that almost all releases of Macrodobe software works this way on a
mac until late in its product cycle.
This, sadly, seems to be the way Macrodobe works though. :(
This is a user to user forum, Brian. There's not much we can
do about
such issues here. Your best bet would be to contact Adobe
Customer Service.
