Help!Jdbc test suite problem

we have developed a jdbc driver for our DBMS.we used jdbc test suite which we downloaded it from sun web site to test our driver.when jdbc test run,we found many exception logged in jdbc-tests.log file,such as:
Beginning Test: testAddBatch01
Fatal: Problem with connection: java.io.FileNotFoundException: http://localhost:8000/servlet_vehicle/servlet_vehicle
End Test: testAddBatch01...........FAILED
I use jdbc-tests-suite1.2.1 version.do you encouter the problem?I am looking for your response!

Hi,
I think you haven't start the server.So the program is trying to connect to the server and is raising the exception.

suite 1.3.1 which AFAIK is JDBC 2.0 level test suite.
So it doens't address extension brought by JDBC 3.0I don't know about the version and can't find info with a couple of minutes' googling. But according to the JDBC download page JDBC 3.0 was released February 13, 2002 and test suite 1.3.1 on February 21, 2002. Suspiciously close. Are you sure 1.3.1 is for 2.0? Double check that first.

JDBC Test Suite...??

Hi There,
I'm writing a JDBC driver and would like to run it against the test suite described here:

.... but I can't find the "jdbccts-1_3_1.zip" file that the page refers to.
Can you please point me in the right direction to get it, or whatever the modern-day equivalent is? I emailed the address shown in the page, but it bounces with "messages are no longer accepted for sun.com", and changing the domain just results in "Recipient unknown".

I have tested the below problem on 2 desktop and 2 laptop Windows systems with the same result. Would you please test this procedure and report whether you do or do not have the same results.
I am assuming that the systems you use are the latest with all updates installed.
1. Start Photoshop and open any image file. Click on the move tool and see that you get the normal tool cursor.
2. Navigate to http://www.layersmagazine.com/working-with-text-in-flash-part-2.html (uses Flash 10 as the tutorial engine).
3. The tutorial should start automatically. While it is running switch to Photoshop and verify you still have a move cursor.
4. Switch to the tutorial and click on the flash icon to watch it in full screen mode. Watch it for a couple of seconds. Press ESC to return to normal size mode.
5. Switch to Photoshop and look at the cursor. On the 4 systems I have tested this on, the cursor changes to a hand and remains a hand no matter what tool icon is clicked.
Sometimes closing the tutorial and Photoshop returns everything it normal functioning. I have reported this to customer service. Sometimes I have to reboot to cause it to happen.
I would like to determine if it just the 4 systems I have tested or if others experience the same problem. Thank you for your help.

Help N91 PC suite problem connectivity

I need help. My N91 does not want to connect to my PC suite program using the USB cable. It started when I downloaded used the Nokia Software Updater because my phone had problems of in where you can't do anything while a sending txt messages. Before downloading the new Software updates for my phone I backed up my messages and contacts through PC suite both in my PC and laptops. However after downloading the update the PC suite it wont recognize and connect the phone to my PC suite. But if i use Mass Storage mode and when I use my phone as a modem it works. I also downloaded the newer version of PC suite 6.80 version still didnt work. I tried downloading the data cable driver still didnt work. Tried reinstalling the PC suite still didnt work. I only uninstalled didnt delete the File folders because I scared it might delete the Back uped contacts and messages... I dont knw what to do anymore... I thinking of reinstallin the phone software. Will that help? Someone help me since I really havea allot of contacts and I really need them back pls... Urgent.

I have a similar problem with the OATS v9.20 installation. I did manage to install it on our main load generator (running Windows 2003 Server) but when it came to installing OpenScript on my laptop (XP SP3) the install 'hangs' at 78%.
I did raise a support call with Oracle about this (there was a bug report generated) but the case is still open.
I've been waiting to hear when the next version was due (in the hope that this might have been resolved) but by the sounds of it there could still be an issue on WinXP with v9.21?
For reference I originally logged this with the following in the description:
The installation looks like it is failing because of a double backslash in a path ending "OATS920\\bin\copyOUI.bat". We then get an error in javaw.exe which when OK'ed then stops the installation at the stage "creating 'Uninstall Oracle Application Testing Suite' in folder 'Oracle Application Testing Suite' ".

URGENT Please help with weird behavior of test suite

I have a composite involving three operations of two different services. The weird behavior comes by the time on which I run the test suite on the EM, if I try to emulate two different operation response from one service, by the time that the flow, tries to emulate the second one, I always receive this error:

Error while running ADF-BC Test Suite from command line

I have created a separate test project containing the Test Suite for the Model componenet of my ADF-BC application.
I need to run this test project separately from jmeter.
The tests run fine from Jdev, But when I package the test project into a jar and try to run from command line, I get the following error:

The Test project jar is created as ADF Library JAR File with Model.jpr as the dependent project. This takes care of project class dependencies
All the adf library dependencies are added to the manifest file of the Test Project jar referring to a location lib/ in the jar file directory.
I tried creating the ApplicationModule using both Configuration class (Configuration.createRootApplicationModule) as well as using the JDBC Connection String but both fail when I run the test cases independently from jmeter.
Anybody came across such an error? Please help.

Im using JDev version 11.1.1.6.0.
I checked the class path on the jdev console. All the library references are mentioned in the manifest.mf classpath of the test project like below:

So I expect the library references should be resolved looking at the manifest file.
Another set of entries that I see in the jdev classpath are related to the Model project which is under test.

D:\CurrentProject_1\16_7_2013_3pm\11_7_2013\Model\classes;
How do I put these entries into my class path? Will it be sufficient if I add the Model.jar into my test project classpath?

How to make a Abap Unit Test Suit with many test classes

Problem space
we have different packages(embedded) in our project and each package corresponds to a differnt functional layer in the design.
We want to create abab unit test classes for these different layers.
say embedded package 1 has 10 unit test classses
embedded package 1 has 20 unit test classses
How to grup these classes together so that we can start them frm a test suite.
Code examples and blogs links will be appreciated.

This sounds a bit like Project Administration 101 to me.
I'm not exactly sure what you are actually trying to do here --but generally if you want to functionally test something you need to start with a business process -
You need to create scripts which tell the user the data to be entered, the transaction to be used and the outcome.
With SAP you might need to show screen shots of each stage as well.
You follow this for each complete business process until you've covered the whole business cycle.
You complete this say individually for Logistics, Purchasing and Finance and then compare what SAP gives you with what you expected to get.
For some type of testing CATTS can help but without the business processes any testing is essentially meaningless.
It is totally pointless trying to design a "generic" test plan until you've got the functional consultants to describe the business processes involved.

Unable to start Oracle Application Testing Suite Application service

Hi ,
I have installed OATS 9.1 successfully on my machine , but there is some problem in starting Oracle Application Testing Suite Application Service .
I am not able to access Oracle Test Manager , when i start the service manually it gives "Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion" error message .
Is there any explicit setting required after installation to start the service .
Please help me to get out of this problem .

Is the Oracle XE service running? Did the database install go OK? Is there anything in the log files in c:\oracleats\logs to give us a hint - check out wls_oats.log and others in this location.

How do emulate multiple calls to same end point in Composite Test Suite

Can any one help with a problem I face with a composite test suite? I have a composite that has 5 main activities and after each activity it logs a status in a business database. This uses the same end point each time to log a status just passing a different status at each point.
When I create a test in the SOA Suite test suite I can create an Assertion for the first status call to check that the status us being created correctly but the second time the end point gets called the status is different and therefore the overall test fails.
Does anyone know how I can create multiple assertions in a test for the same end point in the same test?

What do you mean about the above message? I wonder if you want to let the client to reference to the service which is now in the solution, but not pointing to a service on your test server. If so, first please try to make sure that service
which is now in the solution can work well. After that please try to use the "Add Services Reference" to help you reference the service which is now in the solution. Once it finishes, you can get the correct endpoint address in your client config
file.
Besides, if your service is a self-host application, you can change the service address in the service side by modifying the baseaddress, if your service host in the IIS, you can modify the service address by doing some IIS configuration.

Test Suite Validation Failure

I'm usign ADL Test Suite 1.3.3 to validate a SCORM 2004
Captivate generated PIF and after 20 seconds (the default time-out
for receiving LMSInitialize) I receive "ERROR: Initialize() never
invoked" while the wrapper correctly launch the swf.
I also tried to intercept a call to Captivate1_DOFSCommand
function and seems it is never used.
My testing platform is:
- Windows XP SP1
- ADL Test Suite 1.3.3
- JRE 1.5 update 2
Any suggestion someone?

First of all thanks for your offer to help me but yesterday
morning I was playing with some publishing options and I found to
have forgot, as good newbie as I am, to check the Include Breeze
Metadata (that seems caused to not invoke the LMS functions) and
the the Subject in the Manifest options that caused an error when
validating the metadata.

ADL Conformance Test Suite errors

I am running the ADL Conformance Test Suite on a Captivate course I created and I keep getting an error:
ERROR:   Time out exceeded
ERROR:   LMSInitialize() never invoked
ERROR:   Sharable Content Object is Non-Conformant
Has anybody found a solution for this? I know this problem has been around for years but I wasn't able to find a solution

Unfortunatley the client wants me to run the content through this test and it needs to pass before they will upload to their server.
I figured it out for anybody else who has this issue ... first of all make sure you have the right version of Java installed 1.4.2_02, make sure you run the test in Internet Explorer (it doesn't work in Firefox for some reason) and make sure you remove the following lines from your html page:


Also make sure that your Flash Player Global Security Settings ( http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04.htm l ) are set up to trust the folder where the ADL test is run i.e. C:\ADL\TestSuite1_2_7

ADL Test Suite and SCOs

I have about five lessons that I developed as SCOs (Captive 5.5) followed by a Quiz. The idea is to use the Multi SCO Packager to wrap them as a single course to load onto an LMS. The problem I'm running into is testing the individual SCOs using the ADL Test Suite 1.2.7 and checking for SCORM 1.2 compliancy.
The five lessons do not have questions, is this part of the problem? I do want them listed in the proper order in the manifest so after closing one, the next one launches. So, I publish one lesson and run it through the Test Suite and I get an error message:
ERROR:   Time out exceeded
ERROR:   LMSInitialize() never invoked
ERROR:   Sharable Content Object is Non-Conformant
I used to have no problems before I switched to Cap 5.5 - or is it just me? Please advise. Let me know if you need me to share any files.

Thanks, Rod, that actually helps alot. My courses have been launching through SCORM Cloud but the ADL Test Suite was throwing me off. Guess I've been out of the loop. I had grown accustomed to getting the validation from the test suite that I was even printing and using them as verification in my deliverables to customers. Got any insight on similar products/applications to use for verifying SCORM-compliancy?

Actually, I got it to work.........mostly. Some of the tests still don't work for whatever reason, but most of the one's that I've tried do work. I modified my php.ini file as described above. In addition, I modified the open_basedir in php.ini as follows.
