Help!  JSP and Bussiness components Project Error

I have created a project with bussines components and jsp.
When a user connect to login page, the other users data change
to the last user connected.
(Note:
I does working with entities, views, viewlinks)

Arturo,
I assume you are using 3.2 of JDeveloper. When you say that
other users data changes, what do you mean? Please describe the
symtoms.
For example, User A connects to a JSP and is browsing the
Customer data. User B connects to the JSP and changes some data.
Does User A see it before User B commits? If it shows after User
B commits, that is expected behavior. If it shows before User B
commits, then that means that they are sharing a session in the
web server.
What kind of web server are you using. If it is the builit in
sever in JDeveloper, then that is the problem. The built in
server in 3.2 does not support sessions.

    i'm working hard to finish my project!Try to communicate less like a monkey with electrodes attached to it's genitals. This means stop using words like "plz" and write "please" instead.
    If you want specific help with a specific problem then you should ask a specific question. "help, JSP and SERVLETS" is not a specific question. And you should also note that if your specific question is about Tomcat specifically or Eclipse specifically then you are in the wrong place to begin with.
    So do you want to try again?

  • Business Components Project Error - Application Error

    Hi All
    Please can you help me with this one as JDeveloper is not giving me any clues.
    I am following the tutorial for Business Components with a few modifications. I am using MS Access DB.
    I have managed to successfully connect to this DB and pick the table I want to browse.
    All is well until I run the jpr file and then I get this on my HTML page :
    Application Error
    Error returned : null
    Any ideas ? What info should I post here as clues to solving this ?
    Thanks all for viewing and providing any advice.

  • Beginning Programmer needs help - JSP and databases?

    1. I have never used JSP before, but have been given an assignment to create a webpage to query a database. The database is in Access. Does anyone have a snipet of code in JSP that will query an MS Access database. Is there a function that I can use and pass it an SQL (select statement) and have it return a list of results.
    -OR-
    If there is a way for JSP to transform the MS Access database into a text file that would be good also.
    2. Has anyone created a search functionaly using JSP (or know of a tool) that can search documents, PDF files, HTML files, etc.
    Thank you for any help!

    hi , there is no big deal in JSPs, Servlets, EJBs e.t.c its olnly a matter of committing time and getting urself familar and in areas where you have problems this forum is a nice place for you to share all what u have.
    to start with i will give you some sites where you can start learning jsps, servlets, ejbs and the rest.
    1) http://java.sun.com/j2ee -> look for JSPs , Servlets, EJB, JavaBeans e.t.c
    2) http://www.jspinsider.com
    3) http://www.coreservlets.com
    4) http://www.jakarta.apache.com (download tomcat for your container)
    for databases u can use this code snippet but u will have to read more about databases to be able to chagne some things in this snipper such as your database username, password , url and the rest.
         <%@page import="java.sql.*" %>
         try
            Class.forName ("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver");
            Connection con = DriverManager.getConnection ("jdbc:odbc:test_dsn", "sa", "");
         Statement stat = con.createStatement ();
         ResultSet res = stat.executeQuery("select * from authors");
         while (res.next())
              //process the results of this query
         catch (Exception e)
            //process this also
    %>
    You will need to become farmilar with the java programming language and also database conventions so you have a proper understanding.
    study those db codes and modify to suit your needs.
    buzz on me in case you are stuck.

  • Aggressive JSP and TAG file Compilation?

    I get JSP and TAG file compile errors only when I touch and save the file. Isn't there a way to get these to build automatically by the NitroX builder? I'm constantly getting Jasper compile errors at runtime and having problems when I rename/refactor code that is referenced by .tag files.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    Does this happen to all of your JSP files?
    Please check these settings and update the status:
    * Is your project associated with source control or present on local drive?
    * Window > Preferences > Workbench (General > workspace) - Build automatically
    * Project > Properties > Builders
    - Java Builder
    - NitroX AppXRay Builder
    Did the behavior change due to any of the recent modification/upgrade?
    What version of Eclipse & NitroX are you using?

  • Interesting single sigon application project using jsp and servlet....Help.

    A customer login's to my website using Enterprise login. I am supposed to have a link on my website to this other website(that also uses our Enterprise login details but hosted by other vendor/company on their server), and when I click this link the customes should automatically get logged in to this other website and get a welcome page(instead of login page).
    Below are the sequence of steps that the other website wants me to perform to get to his welcome page(i.e bypass his login page).
    FYI, I am planning to build a jsp page with a link to this other website. Can some body tell me how should I build the application(i.e) how jsp and servlets be build to interact to perform these operations. Any hep is greatly appreciated.
    1.When a user clicks on to other website link(available on my website), the browser generates an HTTP GET request to the Other website's session servlet. User's name is one of the parameters of this request.
    2.Other website receives the HTTP request and generates a unique session identifier for this user. An HTTP response to the end-user is then sent. The user's name and the session identifier are passed back as parameters in the redirect URL.
    3.The browser sends the HTTP request (GET) to the Verification Service that was specified in the redirect message. The parameters (user name and/or session id) will be passed as URL parameters.
    4.The Verification Service(of other website) authenticates the user. A redirect URL to it's sigon servlet(with parameter's User id and key) is then sent back to the user's browser.
    5.The end-user's browser will perform the redirect (performing an HTTP get operation to Other website's signon servlet with the username and the digest key).
    6.The other website will check if the parameter's passed is the same as the one passed earlier, if the user is who he says he is then he is redirected to the main page of the application.
    7.The browser will then redirect the user to Other website's main page (welcome.jsp).
    There seems's to be many calls to this other website that needs to be performed behind the scenes once a user clicks the link on my website.
    Please suggest and help me out.........

    Why are you trying to build a whole federated single sign on framework from scratch when you can just use/buy an existing and proven solution instead? There are a lot of security implication and trust issues involved for this so unless you already understand all of those I'd advise you not to re-invent the wheel. There are a lot of products available that do this. Try searching for '<vendor name> Access Manager' or OpenSSO.

    there are many ways of session handling.... passing as request param, also using hidden fields, else th URL rewritting...
    but all these are not efficient to be passed along if too many pages are using the same session objects. i believe u can also try passing it into an XML file and parse it out whenever needed. but i dont think thats feasible enough.

  • Help with jsp and javaBean in eclipse/Tomcat

    Hi,
    I am new to JSP and JavaBean. I am going through tutorial for a jsp page that uses a javaBean. I am using eclipse to create jsp page and the java bean.
    My eclipse project "Date" has five package as under:-
    1. Deployment Descriptor
    2. Java Resources: src
    3. build
    4. WebContent
    I have my data.jsp page in WebContent/WEB-INF/ folder. When I just run date.jsp in a browser as: http://localhost:8080/Date/date.jsp, it gets launched into the browser correctly. But when I add a JavaBean "TimeFormatterBean.java" in the Java Resources:src folder and use it in date.jsp page, I get errors as under:-
    org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to compile class for JSP:
    An error occurred at line: 5 in the jsp file: /date.jsp
    TimeFormatterBean cannot be resolved to a type
    2: pageEncoding="ISO-8859-1"%>
    3: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
    4:
    5: <jsp:useBean id="formatter" class="TimeFormatterBean"/>
    6:
    7: <html>
    8: <head>
    The data.jsp page is as under:-
    <jsp:useBean id="formatter" class="TimeFormatterBean"/>
    <html>
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1">
    <title>Insert title here</title>
    </head>
    <body>
         <h1> Date JSP </h1>
         <p> The  current time is:
         <%= new java.util.Date() %>
         <jsp:getProperty name="formatter" property="name"/>
         </p>
    </body>
    </html>I can see "TimeFormatterBean.class" in build/classes folder.
    If anyone could please help me out with this, it would be very helpful
    Thanks a lot!

    You probably should place TimeFormatterBean inside a package, or maybe you could try importing it , even if its in the default package, with something like this <%@ page import="TimeFormatterBean" %> at the top

  • JSP and JavaBean simple question, pls help

    Hello,
    I am new to JSP. I just installed Sun Java Studio Enterprise 8 to create a JSP project. I created a jsp file and java class file in the same project. the class file is in default package. I use <jsp:useBean id="date" class="DateFormatBean"/> in jsp file to call the java class. When I run the jsp page I got the error:
    cannot resolve symbol
    symbol : class DateFormateBean
    if I add a package in the class file, I got the error: package com.mycom.projsp does not exist.
    Also I tried to add a jar file into the library and tried to import it in my jsp page, I also got package doesn't exist error.
    I know I need to set the classpath and I did it, but still got the error. Could someone help me out? Do I miss some settings? I am using Tomcat.
    Thanks in advance!

    i'm not familiar with Java Studio Enterprise 8 so i'm not sure how it is organizing its project. However, i know tomcat...and if for test purposes you take your jsp file and put it in $TOMCAT_HOME/webapps/ROOT and your class file and put it in $TOMCAT_HOME/webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF/classes, things should work out. perhaps the web app isn't being organized properly in your tool.
    hope that helps.

    Hi Peter,
    The process of resolving the transitive closure of a large set of java classes (like the BC4J framework) can be quite memory intensive in JServer for the resolution phase.
    You can alleviate this problem by turning the verifier (-noverify option) off.
    That will speed up the resolution process a bit.
    Also in your init.ora file check the java pool size and if it is less than 50 MB, do increase it to 50 MB or larger (The higher the better.)
    Hope this helps,
    -Kishore

Is anyone else having this problem?  Please help.  Thanks.

    Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

  • Project Server 2010 - Error 20010 with a master project and 3 sub-projects during publication

    Hi,
    Here is the situation :
    One master project with three sub projects.
    Sub projects are really similar (Same ressources and nearly same tasks but only the first contain real work for now).
    Sub projects got no sub projects nor links between projects.
    The owner of the master project got read rights through projects permissions on sub projects.
    Sub projects are link in "read only".
    We applied Project Server 2010 SP2 last week end and the issue appeared monday.
    Here are the symptoms :
    When we link only one sub project (Doesn't matter which one), the owner can publish, no problems.
    With 2 sub projects, the error may occur.
    With 3 sub projects, the error always occurs.
    With admin rights, the error doesn't occur.
    Here is the error :
    ID : 20010 (0x4E2A)
    Description : You don't have required permissions to perform the action (Average traduction)
    Detail : <detail><errinfo><general><class name="Project"><error id="20010" name="GeneralSecurityAccessDenied" uid="19515c1d-2624-466f-953a-b7fc67337b81"/></class></general></errinfo></detail>
    I'm unable to determine which sub project is the culprit, if there is one, as it's working when I link only one of them.
    Thanks for your time !

    Fylim --
    If the project manager in question does not need to edit any of the three projects, the PM does not need to have Read/Write access to any of the three projects.  Because you said that the PM needs to set links in all three projects, this means that
    the PM will be editing all three projects.  In order to edit the three projects, the PM must have Read/Write access to all three.  Setting cross-project links constitutes editing of the projects, which is why the PM must have Read/Write permission.
    Make sense?
    Regarding SP2, I am not aware that this would change anything, but I could be wrong.  The reality is that regardless of which SP you have applied to Microsoft Project and Project Server 2010, the PM in this situation MUST have Read/Write access to the
    projects that he/she needs to edit with cross-project links.  Hope this helps.

  • Help on JSP and Beans!

    Hi! I am new to JSP and I need help on how to utilize java bean on JSP. I have gone through this forum, I found similar question but did not find any answer that could solve my question. Tons of thanks to anyone who could help me out!
    I have a java bean class called Bean1, which I put under /ROOT/WEB-INF/classes/, and a JSP file that utilizes class Bean1, saved under /ROOT/, which should be a correct way indicated by several posts I found in this forum. you need to put your bean in a package. do this by
    making a sub directory under the classes directory,
    let's say you call it "mybeans".
    so copy Bean1.java to
    /ROOT/WEB-INF/classes/Bean1.java
    add the line "package mybeans;"
    to the top of the Bean1.java file,
    and then compile it there.
    the standard way to use the bean in your jsp file is like this:
    <jsp:useBean id="thisbean" scope="page" class="mybeans.Bean1" />
    this <jsp:usebean> tag instantiates the bean for you.
    then refer to it by its id:
    thisbean.myMethod();
    thisbean.setProperty();
    I have a java bean class called Bean1, which I put
    under /ROOT/WEB-INF/classes/, and a JSP file that
    utilizes class Bean1, saved under /ROOT/, which should
    be a correct way indicated by several posts I found in
    this forum. But when I try to compile the JSP file
    over TOMCAT4.1 over
    http://localhost:8080/beanexample1.jsp, it throws me a
    lot of error messages (see below). I've been
    struggling for so long. Any help is greatly
    apprecitated! Thanks!
