  • Help! - How to create nested comps with AEGP suites

    I want to be able to create a nested composition....I know that when you create, let's say, comp 1 and then a separate comp 2 and then drag comp2 into comp1, comp2 becomes one layer in comp1. Comp2 would be called a "precomposition"
    So I want to be able to do this in my program, using AEGP calls...I tried just adding a composition as a layer to another (parent) composition, like footage is added as a layer to the current comp.
    There was another post that talked about using the Collection suite, but I'm not sure how to actually use it to implement a nested comp.
    I tried getting a collection from the comp I want to be nested, setting the current (parent) comp's selection to be the nested comp's collection, and tried the DoCommand(2071) to precompose the collection, but obviously this didn't work because it doesn't really make sense to do that, haha.
    Intuitively I wanted to call AddLayer from the current comp, passing in a child comp to be added as a layer. Adobe told me item cannot be added as source to layer so the way to do this must be more subtle than I thought.
    If I have to use collections, do I make a collection out of the current comp and add subsequent comps to the collection? That doesn't make sense either. How is a nested comp added as a layer to another comp?
    Can anyone help me? Email me if you have any suggestions: [email protected]
    Thanks!!

    Hi Sara,
    I responded to your email, but just to follow up on the forum:
    Say you've created two comps using AEGP_CreateComp.  That gives you two AEGP_CompHs.  To nest one comp in another, you'll first need to get the AEGP_ItemH for the nested comp, so use AEGP_GetItemFromComp.  You can now add the AEGP_ItemH of the nested comp as a layer using AEGP_AddLayer.  That should do the trick.  And AEGP_ReorderLayer if needed.
    Cheers,
    Zac

  • JSTL nesting of foreach tag in the c:import

    Ran into the problem when migrated the jstl to 1.2.
    We have the code like below with the c:import and dynamic parameters.
    jstl 1.2 is complaining about the nesting of tags.
    <c:import url="Ixxxxxxxx">
    <c:forEach var="entry" items="${usebean1.htmlParameters}">
    <c:param name="${entry.key}" value="${entry.value}" />
    </c:foreach>
    </c:import>
    What is suggested approach for the c:import with dynamic parameters?
    Any suggestions/solutions will be appreciated.
    Thank you,
    -Sreeni.

    Are you the one who commented out the code you're looking for ?//String desc = StringFactory.getString(attributes.getValue("desc"));You just have to modify you AttributeObject class to hold a new field : String description. And then, it's up to you to create a new constructor or a new setter method.
    Btw, this is not a Swing related question.

  • HELP! How do I remove the paragraph tags in the Actions window?

    Hi =)
    When I'm coding action script in the Actions window of Flash, in line breaks, the paragraph symbol is present, and there are dots in all the spaces, etc., etc.
    I accidentally turned this on, and don't know how to turn it off.
    It's like the paragraph symbol button in Microsoft Word.
    Can anyone help? I'd be FOREVER grateful.

    OMG THANK YOU!!!!
    Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
    Man, I was really starting to sweat it here, but it worked!

  • How can I "nest" CSS span tags?

    I have a piece of text to which I want to apply three successive CSS classes, making increasingly broad selections of the text.  (Or, conversely, apply to the broadest span of text and then selectively style smaller subsets of the inner text.)  Either way I try this, the "span" tags do not end up nested.
    For example, I first select a single word and apply CSS style-1 to just the one word.  Next, I select 3 words (one being the word I just styled) and apply CSS style-2 to that.  Finally, I select the entire clause, which contains the 3 styled words, and apply style-3 to that.
    The objective is to have the span tags "nest" -- but when I apply the styles in the Design view using the "Class" selector, the resulting HTML has the span tags starting and stopping for each bit of text, rather than being nested.  Rather than that, I want to end up with the effect below:
    <span class="style-1">a clause <span class="style-2">with <span class="style-3">some</span> words</span> within the clause.</span>
    I can, of course, do this by hand in the Code view but it is very time-consuming.  Is there a way to achieve this in the Design view?

    Are you attempting something like this?
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
    <title>Span Tag Nesting</title>
    <style type="text/css">
    .style-1 {
        font-weight:bold;
    .style-2 {
        color:green;
    .style-3 {
        font-style:italic;
    </style>
    </head>
    <body>
    <span class="style-1">a clause <span class="style-2">with <span class="style-3">some</span> words</span> within the clause.</span>
    </body>
    </html>
    I'm pretty sure you're going to be stuck adding the span tags in by hand. As far as I can tell, there's no way to get DW to nest <span> tags from within Design View. With the way span tags currently work in DW, there is no way for the program to know you want them nested or overwritten when you select an area of text in Design View.
    That might be an interesting Feature Request: https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform

  • How do i get all the tags i see in the iTunes library to be the ID3 tags?

    I have a huge collection of mp3 in iTunes (the latest version), and they are all perfectly organized, but when i open those mp3 files in any other player i see old tags or no tags, because the id3 tags on the mp3 files are not the same as the ones i see on itunes. I've tried the "convert id3 tags" tool but it does not seem to help. How do i get the id3 tags to be the same as iTunes tags?

  • Looking for help on connecting Airport Express to Belkin F5D7230-4

    I have been reading post after post with a similar problem with help. From other post, it sounds like this Belkin router will work with Airport Express(AE), but I have not found help on how to make it work.
    Here is the problem.
    I need to extend my internet signal from my office to my living room. The Belkin router is connected to my cable modem in my office. The Express is in my kitchen (between the two rooms). I set it up for expanding the signal and the light on the AE continues to flash yellow. I have called Apple and they were able to help me set it up, but it only works for AirTunes (and I am guessing anything plugged into the USB port), but NOT for internet.
    Here are some of the things I have tried.
    ~~ I have connected the AE to the cable modem to check that is does work, and it does.
    ~~ I have moved the device closer to the router and still not working.
    ~~ I have made sure the Belkin settings are set for WDS, which it always was. I have reset the router and the AE.
    What am I missing? Do I need an updated firmware? I have read on another post about a D-Link that needed DHCP and NAT disabled, but I don't understand how to do that and on which device? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks for the article. I have read that before.
    The WDS was already enabled on my router so that did not help. There is something else missing somewhere on these steps that I am not understanding.
    I assume that the AP direction is meant if I plan to use the Belkin router as an AP not the main router? Where in this case the AP is actually my Express, and my express does not have a similar interface to change things to the settings mentioned.

  • Nested af:forEach loop

    Hi,
    How can i use nested af:forEach loop. I can't use af:iterator for sure, please provide solution only using af:forEach.
    <af:forEach items ="#{bindings.parentVO.rangeSet}" var ="parent">
    <af:forEach items ="#{parent.chidVO}" var="child">
    <af:outputLabel value="#{child.empId}"/>
    </af:forEach>
    </af:forEach>
    here child.empId is not printing any value. Data is proper and bindings are also fine. Please guide why forEach is not working with parent-child VO?
    I guess in second forEach loop I am missing something like parent.childVO._something_ i tried using parent.childVO.rangeSet and other option but it didn't work

    you could use af:iterator for your use-case.

  • How to use nested tag in Struts

    Hi..
    Can any one guide me how to use nested tag in Struts. So far i already tried bean tag with no error but when i try to use nested tag i got error like
    javax.servlet.ServletException: Cannot find bean: "" in any scope
    Below are my class:

    session.setAttribute ("MyDetailList", detailList);
    JSP page
    <logic:iterate id="list" name="MyDetailList">
    Company ID : <bean:write name="list" property="companyID" />
    </logic:iterate>
    For bean tag, i got no error at all and below are my code for nested tag
    action class
    session.setAttribute ("MyDetailList", detailList);
    JSP Page
    <nested:nest property="MyDetailList">

    Car ID : <nested:text property="carID"/>
    </nested:nest>
    When i run the code, i got error message
    javax.servlet.ServletException: Cannot find bean: "" in any scope
    Any body can help me?
    zul

    what am I doing wrong?You will notice above that I mentioned
    YOU CAN'T USE CUSTOM TAGS AS ATTRIBUTES TO OTHER CUSTOM TAGS
    (was that loud enough for you to notice this time)?
    Try
    <html:text styleId="instruction" styleClass="text" size="50" name="instruction" property="value"/>
    //or
    <html:text styleId="instruction" styleClass="text" size="50" property="instruction" value="<%= instruction.getValue() %>"/>
    better alternative: populate your formbean with your action and just have:
    <html:text styleId="instruction" styleClass="text" size="50" property="instruction"/>
    If you set the "instruction" property of your formBean in the action, the value will be automagically reflected here.

    Help! How do I open a winmail.dat attachment with my Mac OS 10.6.8 & Mail 4.6 (1085) Thank you.

    Winmail. dat file is attachments sent by Microsoft mail applications (Outlook, Outlook Express or Exchange) on a proprietary format called TNEF. Being a non-standard attachment format, users from other e-mail clients (like Thunderbird or Lotus Notes) or platforms (like Android, Apple, iPad or iPhone) cannot natively read them. But you can open it easily with a winmail viewer. Go to download one and good luck!
