Note: before asking PP and MM people, tell them your requirement and clients requirments.
if it is useful pls.assign points.

Hi SAP-HR Experts .
Dear friends , My Company Requires a specific requiremnt that at the date of any Employee's

I do not know how to write a PCR for this ?
May some Body tell me how to meet this requirement Please .
tell me please step by step how to go through ...
It will be great help for me .
Best regards : rajneeesh

I think you can make it with something like this:
Write a PCR in schema, you can call the rule with "actio";
000860 ACTIO 9BIR AR               Birthday
Rule 9BIR
9BIR Rule for Birthday
NUM=FG C Set " F (fixed indicator for deadline calculation); G (Birth date from infotype 0002);C (complete months)
NUM/12 División " Number of completed months divided by 12
NUMV0O2L Off.Lng en arg.var. " the last two places of the number are entered in the variable argument.
" if the rest is not 00, there is nothing to do
00                             " if the rest is 00
ZERO= N    AmtNumRteZeit = 0 "
AMT=  1002 Set               " wagetype of  salary
AMT/TKDIVI División " divides the amount by Partial Period Parameter Whole Month
ADDWTI1002 Input table       " accumulates into 1002
Example: an employee with birthday 01.01.1977 in IT0002
Payrroll in january 08
wagetype 1002 before rule 9BIR:
3 1002 Salario Bas01                           30,33  30,00              909,90
Rule 9BIR
NUM=FG C   Set; NUM= 372
NUM/12        ; 372/12= 31 rest=00
AMT=1002      ; AMT= 909,90
AMT/TKDIVI    ; 909,90/31= 29,35
ADDWTI1002    ; 909,90 + 29,35= 939,25
wagetype 1002 before rule 9BIR:
3 1002 Salario Bas01                           30,33  30,00              939,25

• Please help me how to improve the performance of this query further.

Hi All,
Please help me how to improve the performance of this query further.
Thanks.

Hi,
this is not your first SQL tuning request in this community -- you really should learn how to obtain performance diagnostics.
The information you posted is not nearly enough to even start troubleshooting the query -- you haven't specified elapsed time, I/O, or the actual number of rows the query returns.
The only piece of information we have is saying that your query executes within a second. If we believe this, then your query doesn't need tuning. If we don't, then we throw it away
and we're left with nothing.

• Really need help on how to write this program some 1 plz help me out here.

i am new to java and i confused on how to be writing this program.
i have completed the Part 1 but i am stuck on Part 2 & 3 so it would would be really great if any 1 could help me out on how to write the program.
Part I
An algorithm describes how a problem is solved in terms of the actions to be executed, and it specifies the order in which the actions should be executed. An algorithm must be detailed enough so that you can "walk" through the algorithm with test data. This means the algorithm must include all the necessary calculations.
Here is an algorithm that calculates the cost of a rectangular window. The
total cost of a window is based on two prices; the cost of the glass plus the cost of the metal frame around the glass. The glass is 50 cents per
square inch (area) and the metal frame is 75 cents per inch (perimeter).
The length and width of the window will be entered by the user. The
output of the program should be the length and width (entered by the user)
and the total cost of the window.
FORMULAS:
area = length times width perimeter = 2 times (length plus width)
Here is the corresponding algorithm:
read in the length of the window in inches
read in the width of the window in inches
compute the area
compute the cost of the glass (area times 50 cents)
compute the perimeter
compute the cost of the frame (perimeter times 75 cents)
compute the total cost of the window (cost of glass plus cost of frame)
display the length, width and total cost
The next step would be to "desk check" the algorithm. First you would need to make up the "test data". For this algorithm, the test data would involve making up a length and a width, and then calculating the cost of the window based on those values. The results are computing by hand or using a calculator. The results of your test data are always calculated before translating your algorithm into a programming language. Here is an example of the test data for the problem given:
length = 10
width = 20
area = 200, glass cost= 100.00 (area times 50 cents)
perimeter = 60, frame cost = 45.00 (perimeter times 75 cents)
total cost =145.00
Once the test data is chosen, you should "walk" through the algorithm using the test data to see if the algorithm produces the same answers that you obtained from your calculations.
If the results are the same, then you would begin translating your algorithm into a programming language. If the results are not the same, then you would attempt to find out what part of the algorithm is incorrect and correct it. It is also
necessary to re-check your hand calculations.
Each time you revise your algorithm, you should walk through it with your test data again. You keep revising your algorithm until it produces the same answers as your test data.
?Now write and submit a Java program that will calculate the cost of a rectangular window according to the algorithm explained. Be sure to prompt for input and label your output.?
Part II
Write, compile and execute a Java program that displays the following prompts:
Enter an integer.
Enter a second integer
Enter a third integer.
Enter a fourth integer.
After each prompt is displayed, your program should use the nextint method of the Scanner class to accept a number from the keyboard for the displayed
prompt. After the fourth integer has been entered, your program should calculate and display the average of the four integers and the value of the first integer entered raised to the power of the second integer entered. The average and result of raising to a power should be included in an appropriate messages
(labels).
Sample Test Data:
Set 1: 100 100 100 100
Set 2: 100 0 100 0
Be sure to write an algorithm first before attempting to write the Java code. Walk through your algorithm with test data to be sure it works as anticipated.
Part III
Repeat Part lI but only calculate the average, not the power. This time, make sure to use the same variable name, number, for each of the four numbers input. Also use the variable sum for the sum of the numbers. (Hint: To do this, you may use the statement sum = sum + number after each number is read.)
For Part 1 this is what i got
import java.util.Scanner;
public class Window
public static void main(String[] args)
double length, width, glass_cost, perimeter, frame_cost, area, total;
Scanner keyboard = new Scanner (System.in);
System.out.println("Enter the length of the window in inches");
length = keyboard.nextInt();
System.out.println("Enter the width of the window in inches");
width = keyboard.nextInt();
area = length * width;
glass_cost = area * .5;
perimeter = 2 * (length + width);
frame_cost = perimeter * .75;
total = glass_cost + frame_cost;
System.out.println("The Length of the window is " + length + "inches");
System.out.println("The Width of the window is " + length + "inches");
System.out.println("The total cost of the window is $ " + total);
Enter the length of the window in inches
5
Enter the width of the window in inches
8
The Length of the window is 5.0inches
The Width of the window is 5.0inches
The total cost of the window is $ 39.5
Press any key to continue . . .

• How to write Functional Spec s for Duplicate and Postal Check for ELM

Hi Guru s
Can any one guide me how to write functional specifications for Duplicate Check and postal Check for ELM kindly share information on this.
Thanks & Regards,
Prasanna

Hello Jaya,
I would say that there are many ways to write a FS. Maybe every big company has its own template. As it is the functional spec and not the technical one, I would say that you only need to describe what you want to see on the screen (like with mock-screenshots) or which functionality you want to have from a super-user''s point of view. All the technical details like which database table or function modules need to be investigated by the developer or technical consultant. I am currently in a SAP CRM Service in the technical role and that is the way we work here and I am fine with that. Unfortunately I am not allowed to send you an example.

• How to write select query for this

Hi,
I had a html form and in the for i had drop down box and it needs to select multiple values from the drop down box. When i select multiple values then i have to write the SQL select statement query .
When i try to write the select statement and trying to run i am getting error.
select * from Table
where emo_no = '1,2,3'
this is how i write query please suggest me how to write query for selecting multiple values from the drop down box.
Thanks

select * from Table
where emo_no in ( 1,2,3)
for integer values
select * from Table
where emo_no in ('1','2','3')
for characters
If we talk about large scale applications that may have millions of records, I would suggest this.
declare @t table (v int)
insert into t (v) values (1)
insert into t (v) valves (2)
insert into t (v) values (3)
select *
from table
inner join @t t on table.emo_no = t.v
Using "in" for a where clause is not so bad for filtering on a few values, but if you are filtering a lot of rows and a lot of values (emo_no) the performance degrades quickly for some reasons beyond the scope of this.
This is just one solution, I'll through this out as well, instead of an in memory (@t) table, doing a disk based temp table (#t) and creating an index on the column "v".
create table #t (v int)
insert into #t (v) values (1)
insert into #t (v) valves (2)
insert into #t (v) values (3)
create index ix_t on #t (v)
select *
from table
inner join #t t on table.emo_no = t.v
drop table #t
Pardon any syntax errors and careful using a drop statement.
Sometimes in memory tables work better than disk temp tables, it takes some testing and trial and error depending on your datasets to determine the best solution.
Probably too much info  ;-)

• How to write a DTD for this scenario?

hi,
consider the following xml
<set after = "A">

</set>
The DTD for the "item" element is
<!ATTLIST item name (A | B| C| D| E ) #REQUIRED >
The attribute "after" of "set" can hold a single valid name like
<set after = "A">
or
a collection of valid names seperated by coma like <set after = "A,B,C">
how to write DTD for the "after" attibute such that it will contain a single valid name or collection of names?
Regards,
Ajay.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that DTD doesn't support that. You're probably better off declaring the name attribute to be of type PCDATA and tokenizing the value manually in code.

• How to write a query for this data??

In this table i have column dob which is DATE type,for example 12-jan-89 I want output like this
Year              Day
12-jan-89         Thusrs_day
12-jan-90          Friday
upto
12-jan-14        sunday

krishnagopi wrote:
No not like that ,I want up to 2014 year
Ok, so lets say you have table like this
SQL> create table my_table(dob date);
Table created.
SQL> insert into my_table (dob) values( to_date('12-jan-1989', 'dd-mon-yyyy'));
1 row created.
SQL> commit;
Commit complete.
SQL> select * from my_table;
DOB
12-JAN-89
You can write a query like this
select dob + (level -1) dob
, to_char(dob + (level -1), 'fmDay') day_
from my_table
connect
by level <= (dob + interval '25' year) - dob + 1;

This version is transferred to demand mgmt as active version. MRP will use this planning data to create order proposals (planned orders, purchase requisitions).
2. Inactive version: 001 – 999
There are 3 types of inactive version in SOP:
a) Sales forecast – 000 – 799
b) Budge forecast – 800 – 820
c) Forecast report – 821 – 999
This report should allow to read any version of the sales forecast and return the total component requirements in the planning horizon that specify.
