HELP! How to remove Yahoo search from firefox 36.0.1? HELP!

I guess I made a big mistake upgrading to FireFox 36.0.1! Nothing but grief since trying to remove the Yahoo search from this version.
Didn't appreciate this version removing my default Home page tabs to use on startup. Looks like they are gone forever - not happy!
I have tried many if not all forms of advice to remove this yahoo search from my home page to no avail. I even uninstalled it and made sure I got a non Yahoo version from the Mozilla site. Still no help.
1) I have tried changing keyword.URL via about:config - no help
2) I have tried changing the Search - Change Search Settings - no help
3) I tried bringing up a single tab with Google and using General options to Use Current Page - no help
4) I tried the same using many other tabs without Google - no help
5) I have removed Yahoo and others from the Search options - no help
6) Uninstalled and reinstalled a "CLEAN" version from Mozilla site - no help
7) Retried 1 thru 5 above again - no help
8) Checked the Shortcut Target in Mozilla FireFox Properties - no help
Get the idea? No matter what, Yahoo comes back every time I open FireFox. Which means I cannot use a set of tabs as my default any more. WHY????
Looks like it may be time to severe my long time use of this browser since the beginning with NetScape in the earliest of days with PC's. Too Bad.

This worked. The problem is the user.js file was changed. See below:

How to get string value from database table using Visual Studio 2005?

Im developing plugin in illustrator cs3 using visual studio 2005. I need to get the values eneterd in database. Im able to get the integer values. But while getting string values it is returning empty value.

As I said in the other thread, this really isn't the place to ask questions about a database API unrelated to the Illustrator SDK. You're far more like to find people familliar with your problem on a forum that is dedicated to answering those kinds of questions instead.

Format a string values from database

how to retrive the string in the following manner from a table whose coulmn value contains 150 length string data
1. Each line must be no more than 70 characters long.
2. If the 70-character limit comes in the middle of a word, the line breaks before that word.
3. If a word is longer than 70 characters, the line will be be broken mid-word at multiples of 70 characters.

If you're using Oracle 11.2, you can have a recursive sub-query that can handle any number of parts.

If not, post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only), and also post the results you want from that data.
Explain, using specific examples, how you get those results from that data.
Instead of breaking a string of up to 150 characters into parts of 70 characters or less, let's break a string of up to 20 characters into parts of 7 characters of less. It will make the sample data easier to handle, and you can easily change the colution to fit your real values.
Always say which version of Oracle you're using.

HELP ME i need to pass String variables from one Frame to another

I need help with some code.
i need to pass a set of string values from one frame to another.
from the mainscreen i need to pass what type of seats the user has requested this is done by radio buttons. i need this information to then be passed onto the next frame called Mydialog1 and placed in a textbox with label st. it dosn't comple and i don't know why
this is getting me depressed. I need some serious help with this

Help with writing and retrieving data from a table field with type "LCHR"

Hi Experts,
I need help with writing and reading data from a database table field which has a type of "LCHR". I have given an example of the original code but don't know what to change it to in order to fix it and still read in the original data that's stored in the LCHR field.
Basically we have two Function modules, one that saves list data to a database table and one that reads in this data. Both Function modules have an identicle table which has an array of fields from type INT4, CHAR, and type P. The INT4 field is the first one.
Incidentally this worked in the 4.7 non-unicode system but is now dumping in the new ECC6 Unicode system.

The unicode flag is active.
When I run our report and then to try and save the list data a dump is happening at the following point
LOOP AT T_TAB into L_WA.
As I say, T_TAB consists of different fields and field types whereas L_WA is CHAR 800. The dump mentions UC_OBJECTS_NOT_CONVERTIBLE
When I try to load a saved list the dump is happening at the following point
APPEND T_DATA-RAWDATA to T_TAB.
T_DATA-RAWDATA is type LCHR and T_TAB consists of different fields and field types.
In both examples the dumps mention UC_OBJECTS_NOT_CONVERTIBLE

The asterisk(*) was attached to the search string when perform search from the baner.

I run into a strange behavior with performning a search from the baner (top right). For example, I enter the string called "test" and click search. The asterisk will be attached to the string make it "test*". because of this, it come back with incorrect search result. have you run into this before. Thanks!

Right click the Back/Forward buttons to get the list of sites you visited.
There is an add-on you can install which displays that arrow on either button, but it's only cosmetic. See https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/backforward-dropmarker/

Problem in String Search using OKAPI in 9i Lite

We are creating an Symbian EPOC application using Oracle 9iLite in stand-alone mode. We have managed to create a C++ program that creates an Oracle database on the Nokia Communicator 9210.
The problem is that a string search returns either null or all of the searched records, ie. it does not work.
The code below should do the string search and return the strings that match the given keyword. Any idea why this is not working? We are using OKAPI.

I have just started exploring oracle 9i Lite to develop apps. on Palm and WinCE using OKAPI but the documentation does not seem enough. Is there some book or sample programs available that demonstrate OKAPI to develop form based apps ? CodeWarrior and Satellite Forms are not good when someone wants to try writing demp app.

Few tips to get your question answered here
1. Give your database version. Some thing that does not work in one version works fine in the next. And 8i,9i or 10g is not version. best way to give the version is to query your v$version table like this.

3. "I got an error"... "Its not working"... and the list goes on. Sentences like this does not help. If you got a error past the entire error. If stuff does not work, tell us the details.
4. Just don't throw some output and say i want it. Please explain to every one how you derive it.
5. And the most important thing. Use \...\ tag to format. Please.. Please.. Please.. use it. It helps every one a lot. When you use it your SQL looks some thing like this.

Setting up a full contextual search from within folders,document libraries or lists.

Hi Everybody
I have been loooking through all the availdable answers but so far have not seen anything that is wholly relevant to my problem.
I have set up a search on sharepoint 2013 that seems to be working 100% and does a full contextual search from sites and sub-site. My problem is that the client requires a full contextual search to be working from any folder, document library or list. In
other words, if the user is in that specific folder, only results from that folder should come up when doing a search.
I think that maybe the secret is in writing the proper kql script that will automatically incorporate the folder,document library or list name ? Any assistance with setting up the needed variables or maybe pointing me in another direction.....
If possible, I need to do this without any coding ......

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to confine the search result to the specific document library or a folder.
I recommend to create a new Result Sources and use {searchTerms} path:http://SERVER/SITE/LIBRARY to limit the scope. Then configure the search page to use the new created Result Sources.

How to retrieve query string value from the URL in my portlet

Hi,
When user clicks on "Advance Search", i am redirecting to page in the community. At the same i am adding some more values to the query string (to the URL).
My URL will look like this.
http://ctp-mc0149/portal/server.pt?space=CommunityPage&parentname=CommunityPage&parentid=0&in_hi_userid=200&cached=true&control=SetCommunity&PageID=202&CommunityID=200&searchType=2
Now in one of my portlet in that page, i want to retrieve the query string values from the URL.
Please help me regarding this.

Your question still does not make any sense, and you still haven't clarified what you're not understanding.
However, if you think that just by reading the API docs, with no other training or study, that you will be able to write that code, then you are seriously misunderstanding the purpose of the docs.
Obviously English is not your native language. You grew up speaking some other language at home and with your friends, and at some point in school or as private study, you started to learn English. You learned about the grammar and the alphabet and pronunciation, sentence structure, word order, etc. Now you have the basics of how the language works, and you know some words. When you want to learn new words to fit into the structure you have learned, you use a dictionary.
If you didn't study the grammar, sentence structure, etc., and just said, "I want to learn English. I will look at a dicationary," clearly that would not work.

So, since you now understand and agree with the English example, let me state something that I hope is obvious to you by now: The API docs are your dictionary. They are not a substitute for learning the language basics.
Furthermore, once you know the language basics in English and have your dictionary, you still won't know how to write a resume (which you may know as a CV). You will look at examples and perhaps take a course on resume (CV) writing. Just reading a dictionary won't help you write a resume(CV). Similarly, if you know some Java basics, you can't learn how to write a Swing app just by reading the Javadocs. You'll look at tutorials and examples. Then, once you know the basic structure of a Swing app, you'll look to the javadocs for more details about more kinds of GUI classes--different buttons and windows and panes and panels and layout managers, etc.

Exact string search

i was wondering if there was a way to do an exact string search in a document.
If i have a document that has punctuation i want to be able to find the document only if i query whith an exact string match, including stopwords and punctuations.
if the query is
select *
from documents1
where contains(OBJECT_VALUE,'{hello, world}') > 0
I want only to return the documents that have exactly "hello, world" whith the comma included.
If i add the comma to printjoins, it would work, But when i query for only "hello" it wont match "hello, world"
basicaly im looking for something that does a normal search but then check if the exact string is in the match area.

chr(32) will return space, If you have any other thing except space then you just replace 32 with that ascii code. Such as for

GREP searches from top of story?

I've set up a GREP expression to find some material I need to delete, but I need to check each instance before I actually delete it. Unfortunately, the GREP expression occasionally finds text that I want to keep, so it's not bullet proof.
When I first set up my GREP expression, it worked fine -- it would find the next occurrence of the expression after the insertion point when I type a keyboard shortcut for the "GREP Find Next" command.
Suddenly, and I don't know why, it changed its behavior so that instead of finding the next instance of the GREP expression after the current insertion point, it finds the first occurrence in the story, which is pages away from where I want to be working.
Is there some way to tell GREP (or any Find search) to look from the insertion point rather than from the top of the document? It seems to have both behaviors as options, but I don't know why it chooses one over the other.

Well, having done a little more work, I think the problem may result from a look-behind that I added to the beginning of the string.
Basically, I have about 500 abstracts, each has a long list of authors, with punctuation as follows: SMITH, J.S., affiliation, email; JONES, S.J., affiliation, email; etc.
I need to get rid of the affiliations, emails, and semicolons; keep the Author name and initials; and apply a script of mine to put the last name in title case, resulting in
Smith, J.S., Jones, S.J., etc.
There are some typos and unusual names, so I need to do this one by one rather than with a global search, but I want to be efficient. I want to run my case-change script on the last name, then trigger a GREP search that will select the affiliation and email, which I can then look over to confirm, then delete. (Affiliation may be full of all kinds of punctuation).
Currently I'm using
.+?[;\r]
...which selects from the insertion point to the next semicolon or the end of the paragraph, whichever comes first. This one works, but I first need to move the insertion point past the initials, which takes more keystrokes.
Since the author initials always end with a period followed by a comma, but I don't want to delete those, I thought I'd add a look-behind so that the GREP would select all the text from (but not including) a period-comma to (and including) the next semicolon:
(?<+\.,).+?[;\r]
The problem is that instead of searching from the insertion point, it goes to the beginning of the file and grabs the first occurrence of the pattern, which is the first already-corrected address (since there are no semicolons left, it selects from just after the first author's initials to the paragraph end).
Anyway, if anyone has some ideas (including "sorry, GREP just behaves this way with look-behinds") I'd appreciate any help.
