    I have cleared the WinFileCache, restarted my computer, and tried to create a new web page
    Of course, none of these worked.

  • Help! My email push isn't working even when I hit the refresh button!

    Please help me. I got a Palm Pixi in December. It worked perfectly until about 2 weeks ago. It suddenly stopped pushing my email, including when I hit the refresh button! I spent many many hours on the phone with both verizon and palm, we tried starting and restarting the phone, removing and adding my accounts, we even tried a partial wipe of the phone. Nothing worked. So both verizon and palm assured me that my brand new phone must be defective, they sent me a new palm pixi promising me that my email push problems were a fluke and that it would never happen again. I got my new phone a week ago, it worked fine until yesterday- the same push problem is back! I've been on live chat with a palm technician for almost 2 hours now, we've set and reset my email settings, we've reset the account settings in the phone, and it still doesn't work!
    Please somebody, tell me what the fix is for this!
    I need this phone for my job.
    Because this problem didn't start until the end of my 30 day trial period, I can't exchange this phone now, and I can't afford to pay retail price for a new phone so I'm stuck with this phone even though this problem is not my fault!! I have to make this work!
    Verizon and Palm promised me that this problem would never happen again, that it was a one time fluke based on a defective(though brand new device)- based on this assurance, I exchanged phone and now I am stuck. I spent hours on the phone on monday with palm support updating/changing my email settings on the phone and when that didn't work he sent me the webos doctor instructions via email to try on my own.  I did that last night, and guess what?  It still didn't work!  As per usual, the solution either doesn't work at all, or it works for a bout an hour and then stops working.
    Help!
    Thanks

    First verify that all your email settings are correct as they may have changed.
    Service provider settings frequently change. If your email account was working but you are currently experiencing problems, check with your service provider to find out whether any of the account settings have changed. You may need to manually change some email settings on your device.
    Next, update the PRL on the device by dialing *228 send and option 2.
    If the  problems persist,  try doing a Master Reset on the device.
    Master Reset
    Tap and slide finger up on center gesture area
    Slide screen to the left twice
    Tap Device Info
    Tap and slide screen up to show Reset Options
    Tap Reset Options
    Select from the following Options:
    Restart - Will restart device
    Shut down - Will power off device
    Partial Erase - Warning: Erases applications you installed and all application settings and data. Does not erase personal files stored on the USB Drive.
    Full Erase - Warning: Erases applications you installed and all application settings and data. Also erases personal files stored on the USB Drive.

  • Please help! My new widescreen isn't working!

    So I bought a 22inch widescreen monitor for my 933mhz Quicksilver G4. The monitor has a resolution of 1680x1050. I used a DVI convertor and connected it to the ADC port.
    The problem is the picture doesn't look all that great, and worse, it looks really stretched out. The maximum resolution my computer is offering me is 1280x1024, and I swear it used to be higher when I had it hooked up to a CRT.
    I've tried to change the horizontal wideness on the monitor's controls, but that option isn't allowed (although when plugged into the VGA port it is).
    I spoke with the monitor companies tech support and he says that my computer is supposed to be able to support that monitor.
    I downloaded that driver that someone else posted on the forums, that didn't help.
    What do I do? Do I need a new video card (I currently have a GE Force 4MX)? Do I need some kind of update? A new driver or something?
    PowerMac G4 Quicksilver, 933Mhz   Mac OS X (10.4.2)

    I'm running a 21" Samsung widescreen at the recommended 1680 x 1050 @ 60 Hz. When I first got it I did some experimenting with some older graphics cards in my MDD G4 booted into OS X Tiger and OS 9.2.2. All cards were flashed to the latest ATI ROM and were using the latest ATI drivers.
    It's true that OS X Tiger only displays the recommended resolutions for your graphics card, but with the large, widescreen, LCD monitors, you pretty much don't want to use any of the other possible resolutions. In OS 9.2.2 I was able to display all possible resolutions. Using an original Radeon for Mac, 32 MB card and a flashed PC Radeon 7000, 64 MB card, I couldn't achieve decent video with either. BTW, I used a DVI hook-up for all.
    Can't remember which one, but one wouldn't display widescreen resolutions at all (think it was the Radeon for Mac card, which is very old) and the other couldn't display up to 1680 x 1050, so I used a lesser widescreen resolution. The lesser widescreen resolution was adequate for just looking at your monitor, but couldn't play DVD movies without lowering the resolution even more. The best picture with either of them was not as sharp as the display model of my monitor in the store.
    Part of the problem is that neither of those old video cards provided Quartz Extreme support in OS X Tiger, much less Core Image support. That makes a big difference, at least with the large, widescreen monitors.
    What I'm telling you is that your video card is center of the issue. After you ensure that you have its ROM updated and you are using the latest drivers, if you still don't see 1680 x 1050 or any other widescreen resolutions as an option (based on the limited resolution info on NVIDIA's site, I think you already have the best resolution you can get and there aren't any supported widescreen resolutions), and/or System Profiler doesn't show Quartz Extreme supported, you should be looking for a new video card. I know that the Radeon 9000 will give you Quartz Extreme support (I put one in a friend's Sawtooth G4 w/ a 1.2 GHz processor upgrade and got QE supported, but not CI) and some widescreen resolutions, including 1680 x 1050.
    Good luck,
    Carl B.

  • Help!!! Sound isn't working!

    When I plug my earbuds into my Ipod touch there is no sound but when I remove the headphones there is sound. I know this must be a problem with my ipod because I have tried other earbuds and it still won't work. How can I fix this without having to buy a new ipod.? I would also like to say that my sound effects thing keeps popping up randomly and turning my volume all the way up. I need help please.

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
    Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Check also Settings > General > Accessibility > Hearing. Make sure that the sound balance is not set all the way to "R".
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
    Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.
    Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
    Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.
    Apple - iPod Repair price
    A third-party place like the following will replace the jack for less. Google for more.

    Replace the jack yourself

  • HELP! My center button isn't working!

    So I was listening to my nano, and the center button just stopped working. I tried to reset it and I tried restoring it, but no luck. Any suggestions????? Thanks.
    Message was edited by: Cheyenneee!

    Dont bother returning it to apple. Their after sales service is really bad.
    My ipod video is still under warranty and they want to charge 40$ just for shipping. Come on $40 for shipping? I'm sending in an ipod not a BRICK! $40 is ridiculous!
    My center button doesnt have the popping feeling anymore, maybe the spring underneath the center button is broken. Talk about cheap material. For the price i paid for it, i would like it to last at least a year. This thing broke down in 11 mths.
    The dumbest part is that, the customer service rep at apple care, said that the technician will fix it under warranty only if it's a hardware caused issue. What is a HARDWARE CAUSED issue???? How can a hardware break itself!? The only thing I know is that I will never buy anything from APPLE AGAIN! The warranty *****. I've had lots of experience with warranties and this is the worst ever!!!
    Maybe they got to be sued through another class action against for them to amid that they use cheap material!!!
    The center button *****! I'm boycotting APPLE forever

  • I need Help with codes. It isn't working

    I had once writing a code for finding the factorial of a number in elementary programming with C. I tried to incorporate it into my work. However, it is not working.
    Below are the major hitches:
    1. I have a problem with entering two numbers by simply pressing the buttons. Once i try to input another number the second number displaces the first on the textfield. Which suffices to say that entering a two or three digit number via the buttons is not working.
    2. What I intend to archieve is such once I have enter the numbers using the buttons i could get the factorial of whatever number i entered by simply pressing the n! button. Once i attempt pressing the n! button it displays error in the command prompt (a long list of error comments).
    How should I Proceed.
    Below is my full code:
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.awt.event.*;
    import javax.swing.*;
    public class PanFrame extends JFrame implements ActionListener
         JTextField jTfd =new JTextField(20);
         JButton jbtn7 = new JButton ("7");
         JButton jbtn8 = new JButton ("8");
         JButton jbtn9 = new JButton ("9");
         JButton jbtn4 = new JButton ("4");
         JButton jbtn5 = new JButton ("5");
         JButton jbtn6 = new JButton ("6");
         JButton jbtn1= new JButton ("1");
         JButton jbtn2 = new JButton ("2");
         JButton jbtn3 = new JButton ("3");
         JButton jbtn0 = new JButton ("0");
         JButton jbtnFT = new JButton ("n!");
         public PanFrame (String title)
                   super (title);
                   Panel pan1 = new Panel();
                   getContentPane().setLayout(new FlowLayout ());
                   pan1.add(jTfd);
                   Panel pan2 = new Panel();
                   getContentPane().setLayout (new GridLayout (4,5,2,2));
                   pan2.add (jbtn7);

                   jbtn0.addActionListener(this);
                   jbtnFT.addActionListener(this);
                   validate();
                   this.addWindowListener (new WindowAdapter()
                        public void windowClosing (WindowEvent we)
                                  setVisible (false);
                                  System.exit (0);
               public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent ae)
                        jTfd.setText(ae.getActionCommand());
                   if(ae.getActionCommand()=="n!")
                                  int num= Integer.parseInt(jTfd.getText());
                             int i;
                             long fact=1;
                             for(i=1; i<=num; i++)
                                       fact *=i;
                             jTfd.setText(String.valueOf(fact));
         public static void main (String arg [ ])
                   PanFrame ObjFr = new PanFrame ("Two Panel in One Frame");
                   ObjFr.setSize (400, 400);
                   ObjFr.setVisible (true);
    }bakes

    Perhaps something like this?
    private String tempText = "";
    public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent ae) {
    if (jTfd.replaceSelection( jbtn.getActionCommand()
    ) )=="n!") {
              tempText = "";
              long fact=1;
    for(int i=1; i<=Integer.parseInt(jTfd.getText());
    ); i++)
                   fact *=i;
              jTfd.setText(String.valueOf(fact));
         else {
    tempText +=
    += ((JButton)ae.getSource()).getActionCommand();
              jTfd.replaceSelection(tempText);
               * // Alternately, you can try:
    * jTfd.setText(jTfd.getText() +
    ) + ((JButton)ae.getSource()).getActionCommand());
         }}I tried out what you suggested above but it gave the following eror:
    PanFrame.java103:cannot resolve symbol
    symbol: variable jbtn
    location: class PanFrame
    if (jTfd.replaceSelection( jbtn.getActionCommand() )=="n!")
    'void' type not allowed here
    if (jTfd.replaceSelection( jbtn.getActionCommand() )=="n!")
    I do not think "if(jTfd.replaceSelection(jbtn.getActionCommand())=="n!")"
    is the correct way of expressing what i intend to archieve. When i first wrote it out it did not make sense to me but i could not find an alternative. so i said let me give it a triy.
    i have also attempted to structure it this way
    public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent ae)
                   JButton jbtn = (JButton)ae.getSource();
                   jTfd.replaceSelection( jbtn.getActionCommand() );
                   if (ae.getSource()==jbtnFT)
                        int num= Integer.parseInt(jTfd.getText());
                             int i;
                             long fact=1;
                             for(i=1; i<=num; i++)
                                       fact *=i;
                             jTfd.setText(String.valueOf(fact));
              } the action i performed having structured it as stated above was: I pressed the button 5 and it displayed 5 in the textfield then i wanted to find the factorial of 5. so i pressed the (n!) button. instead of calculating the factorial of 5 and displaying the output in the textfield, the factorial symbol was displayed after the number 5 and error messages were displayed in the command prompt. i have tried to type out some of the messages below:
    java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "5n!" at java.lang.NumberFormat Exception.forInputString(NumberFormatException.java.48)
    at java.lang.Integer.parseInt(Integer.java: 477)

    Please could you do me favor i am posting the entire code below: copy it and run it then you can see the error messages in its entirety. It is quite lenghty was i tried to type out were jus the first few lines.

    iPad can connect only in one iTunes Library. If you want to connect it to a iTunes Library then you have to erase it. You can erase it from iTunes. Make sure you iPad doesn't have a password, or if it has a password make sure that you connect to the computer and enter the password of your iPad

    Have you performed a reset? Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off button for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons and await restart.
