HELP- My Mac fried, I can't get my music onto my new mac! Can't sync or it will erase it all. Any third partys that don't charge after 100 songs?

My Macbook was peed on by a cat. Fried it like an egg. My Iphone (4s) has all of my music on it- none of it purchased, just what i have collected over the years from friends and cd's. Every third party app i have tried, only grants 50-100 transfers before it wants to charge you for the application. PLEASE HELP ME:(
Also, i purchased an audiobook on my new Itunes and i can't get it into my phone. I use the same Itunes account and still it won't let me do any of this!!!
*** APPLE??? your stock is plummeting, fix your issues you giant pieces of apple core.
Someone please help me?

Ok the Mac fried. That does not mean that the hard drive is trash. Take the HD out and put it into an external HD case. See if you can boot from the ext HD.
As for the audio book - is your iPhone logged into the account?
To transfer from the iPhone to another Mac - use Phoneview from ecamm.com - $25 dollars - to get full use of some programs you will have to pay the fee. Such is life.
Your comment *** APPLE??? your stock is plummeting, fix your issues you giant pieces of apple core. - Has nothing to do with the Cat or your lack of a backup.

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
There are different ways to transfer your data from another Mac, but as you just want to transfer pictures and music, the best way is to use an external drive. You can also connect them with a Thunderbolt or FireWire cable, but you need specific Macs to do it, so I prefer the external drive method.
You just have to get an external drive and plug it to the old Mac. Then, open Finder, navigate to the folders with your pictures and music, and drag them to the external drive in the Finder sidebar, under "Devices".
Then, connect the external drive to the new Mac and you will see the external drive in the Finder sidebar after opening a Finder window, so choose it. Then, just copy the pictures and music to the folder you want, for example, Music or Pictures

  • I can't install Rosetta Stone onto my new Mac OSX (version 10.7.5).  It says it "can't open application because Power PC applications are no longer supported."  Is there any way to install?

I can't install Rosetta Stone onto my new Mac OSX (version 10.7.5)
    Any suggestions?
The message says "can't open application because Power PC applications are no longer supported."
    Thanks!

Thank you... spoke to Rosetta Stone and they said the same thing, and the give a nice discount when upgrading.
Normally 5 levels of a language run about $479.  When upgrading, you can get the same 5 levels for $199.
    Fewer levels costs even less.

    Hi chrisb75729216,
I checked with your account but could not find any order history so you might be using another email address on forums.
You will first need to deactivate Acrobat from old machine and then install Acrobat on the new machine by activating with the same serial number.
Please download Acrobat XI pro from here: Other downloads
If you have single user license, then remember that the software can be activated on maximum two computers, say your desktop at work and laptop at home.

  • My license is for PC I now have a Mac, how can I download the software onto my new Mac?

I purchased the Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 for windows. I was given a disc to download it onto my computer. Recenlty my computer died so I purchased a new Mac. How can I download my Adobe Suite license onto my new Mac?

To get a Windows versions of CS5.5 onto a Mac you would have to try using a Windows emulator such as Bootcamp.  CS5.5 does not qualify for a platform swap, so you will not be able to acquire a Mac version of it unless you find someone selling it.

  • Importing music onto my new Mac.

Yesterday, my parents bought me a used MacBook Pro, (my very first Mac, ever.) because my old laptop's hard drive started to die. I was unable to get my music off of my hard drive before it croaked, but I still have all my music, apps, movies, etc. on my iPhone 4.
Is there any way for me to import all of my stuff into iTunes w/o wiping out my iPhone completely? (I've heard horror stories of people plugging their iPods into new computers to transfer their music, and iTunes wiped out their entire library.)
I am aware of Apple's one-time re-grant of all of your purchases, but 90% of my music was all imported from CD's that have long been sold or lost.
Any and all advice would be appreciated!
    Thanks!
    -Emily

    Updating Emily's post:
We have been able to get the Windows machine to work long enough to burn DVD's of her iTunes library (in iTunes/Windows, using "File-->Library-->Backup to Disc". I selected "Backup entire iTunes Library...").
BUT! BEFORE THAT, we had set preferences (in "Edit --> Preferences--> Advanced tab") to "Keep iTunes Media Folder Organized" and "Copy Files To iTunes Media Folder When Adding To Library".
Then we went to "File --> Library --> Organize Library", and checked Consolidate Files.
    All 10 DVDs burned successfully.
NOW - Can we open iTunes on her MacBookPro and use these backup disks from the Windows machine to move over her iTunes library?
Thanks in advance for any help/insight offered!

  • I used home sharing to get my music onto my new laptop, why is my music now jumpy and crackly?

I imported Itunes onto my new laptop, and wanted to get my music library over easily. I couldn't work out how, but found home sharing so used that. Now, on my new laptop, all my music is horrid quality and really crackly. It is not the laptop. Can anyone help please?

Check that you have the latest version of iTunes (12.1.1.4 ) - many users encountered playback issues with the immediately preceding version (12.1.0.71), many of which are addressed in 12.1.1.4.
Make sure you have the latest version of QuickTime (7.6.6) installed - if this is missing or out of date there may be no audio output from iTunes (including, but not limited to, playback through Bluetooth devices) or playback may be of poor quality.
Also check the Play Audio Using setting in Edit > Preferences > Playback (you will have to restart iTunes for any changes to take effect).  In most cases selecting Direct Sound addresses playback issues when Windows Audio Session is active (though some users have reported the reverse),
If none of these solves your problem try installing this alternate version: iTunes 12.1.1 for Windows (64-bit — for older video cards).  The "for older video cards" label is a little misleading, as this also fixes some playback issues, QuickTime and Outlook interoperability errors, and problems with other third-party applications.

  • I can´t get @ to work at my new Mac mini

    Hi
I just bought and installed everything on my new Mac Mini 2012 from my old iMac and I chose Swedish as my language.
    My OS is Mavericks
I also connected my apple keyboard and everything works OK.
Except that when I try to write a e-mail.
I can´t write @ instead a get "TM" from holding down the alt-key and the other key (nr 2 key)
The keyboard works perfect with my old iMac.
Does anybody have a clue what I should do to get @ to work.
Maybe a Swede will know what happened ?
Any help would be much appreciated
    Cheers
    Hans
Ps. This was not written from my Mac mini  :-)

You need go to system prefs/keyboard/input sources and use the plus and add buttons to activate the Swedish Pro keyboard and then select that one in the "flag" menu at the top right of the screen.  Apple keyboards are printed with the Swedish Pro layout  (and not the "Swedish" one).
