Help needed on processing-instruction

Hi,
I need to "relay" a processing-instruction from the source-message to the target-message. In the transformation-file, I've added the code
<xsl:processing-instruction name="integration">
<xsl:value-of select="/processing-instruction('integration')" />
</xsl:processing-instruction>
When I test the map from within JDeveloper, and when I run oracle.xml.parser.v2.oraxsl from the commandprompt, it works fine, but when I deploy the project to my esb-server, the processing-instruction is lost during the transformation.
We run the standalone esb-installation.

that coul not find package javax.servletWhat I did not mention... you need to add those JARs in the Classpath explicitly. You will find them in %TOMCAT_HOME%\common\lib. You atleast need to add servlet-api.jar to your Classpath. :)

F4 help needed in Process on value-request

Hi,
I have two fields on screen: region and its description in a dialog program. I want region description to be populated as soon as I select F4 help for region. Description field is output only . I want to do it using a module in Process On value-request. Field p_region MODULE GET_REGION_DESCRIPTION.
Using standard F4 help I can do it. If in my table I assign search help at field level for region. For example :
Search Help: ZREGION_SHLP. Selection method: ZREGION. Fields: Region and Description.
Table name : ZREGION.
i) 1st Fields: REGION , Data Element - ZREGN, Domain: ZZREGN ( CHAR2), Value table: ZREGN. Assign Search help at field level instead of data element level.
ii) 2nd Field: REGION_DESC, Data Element - BEZEI30.
in program: DATA: p_region like zregion-region. So if I press F4 help and select one region, description field gets populated.
I don't want to use standard functionality but want to write code in POV event. If I use F4IF_INT_TABLE_VLUE_REQUEST function module, I will get all the values associated with the field region. Since I don't know which region user has selected, i can't populate description. How to get the selected value in POV for that particular field. How can I get the value selected for region and then use DYNP_VALUES_UPDATE function module to update the description field. I tried search help exit event return to return the selected value. How to pass that value in POV module as you cannot use FORM ENDFORM . inside MODULE ENDMODULE.

Help needed with process to call an external web service from within ABAP

I have an understanding of how I can provision web service from within SAP so that it can be consumed by external apps.
Now, I am in need to know the, how I can call an external non-sap web service (let's say a java application) or even a public domain web service for that matter:
Is there any lay man's guide out there? which will list following step:
A sample ABAP program calling an external web service
List of all the configurations needed within SAP to make this happen (calling an external web service).

Help Needed, Recovery Process

Hi, This is just a inquiry on how recovery works. First, I'll just add I have a Satellite L500-ST2522. I've looked through the manual and haven't found any answers. I have just made recovery DVDs, and am expecting a new hard drive either tommorow or Monday. My question is on how these discs work (I've got 3-Rocovery discs, 1 Windows Recovery Environment(64bit) disc, and a Toshiba Applications and Drivers disc.). I'm assuming that the HDD is unformatted on delivery. Am I to boot from one of the discs and if so which one do I boot with, they were burned in the order I listed them above. I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, I just want to have the process run as smoothly as possible. Any response would be greatly appreciated.

The Apps and Drivers disk is totally independent of the recovery process. It's purpose is to restore an individual driver, utility, or application to an existing installation.
The Windows Recovery Environment disk is also independent of the Recovery (restore) process. From Wikipedia: "Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) is a set of tools included in the Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008 R2 operating systems to help diagnose and recover from serious errors which may be preventing Windows from booting successfully. WinRE may be installed and/or booted from many media including hard disks (Hidden NTFS partition type 0x27), optical media (such as an operating system installation disc) and PXE (e.g. Windows Deployment Services). Process Instruction generation - PI Sheet

Fellow Experts,
I've used Process Management with a 3rd party MES application to download Process Instructions (via Cont recipes) in the past. I've gone thru the documents for PI Sheet creation & understand that unlike with a 3rd party Process Control System (where PI's are automatically created & sent), one has to go onto the Master Recipe or the Process Order & enter/define the Process Instructions that are intended to be sent to the Process Control (PI Sheet in this case).
Is my understanding correct?? If yes, is there not a way with which I can invoke the PI creation automatically with the release of the Order ??

Process management coordinates the exchange of production-relevant data between the ERP system and the independent production level (of an external system).
The production level can be controlled as follows:
Manually: Steps carried out manually by the operator
Automated: Steps carried out automatically by process control system
Partially automated: Steps are carried out both manually and automatic
It depends how we are going do this.
If it is manual, control room person or engineer in the Plant has to feed the values maintained in PI sheet.
If it is automated, the value will come from machine. Like from DCS, PI sheet values will be populated automatically. For this configuration and ABAP coding is needed.
Process instruction types:
Type 0: Universal Process Instruction Category
Type 1: Process Parameters
Type 2: Process Data Requests
Type 3: Process message subscription
Type 4: Process Data Calculation Formulas
Type 5: Inspection Results Requests
Type 6: Dynamic Function Calls
Type 7: Sequence Definition
Type 1,2 and 3 can be used with Process control systems (automated) and all except type 3 can be used with PI sheets (manual)
Control Recipes transfers control data from the process order to process control.
The information contained in a control recipe and the destination to which it is sent are user-defined.
Control recipes can be sent to :
Automated Plants PI-PCS interface by control recipe download.
Manually Controlled Plants Sent to the PI sheet.
For characteristic-based process instructions- ABAP list-based PI sheet or a browser-based PI sheet.
For XSteps, browser-based PI sheets
PI sheets used to exchange data between the partially or completely manually operated production level and the SAP system (PP-PI).
In manually operated production lines, this usually involves a process operator who uses the PI sheet to transfer production-relevant actual data to the SAP system and receives data from the SAP System

URGENT HELP NEEDED - iPhone 3Gs no longer detected or charged by MacBook

My iPhone 3Gs (3.1) has been running fine, until several hours ago today, when I plugged it to my MacBook, the iPhone is no longer detected - it doesn't show up in iTunes, nor it is charged. I tried opening iPhoto, and it wasn't there too. Not with Image Capture too. I tried charging it using the out-of-box wall charger using the same out-of-box USB cable I use for MacBook, and it can be charged without any problem. Then I put it into Recovery mode, and there iTunes can see it. I don't want to restore it before I figure out exactly what went wrong, as I don't want the restore process somehow gets stuck in the middle that the connection is lost again.
I've tried reinstalled iTunes, including completely removal of Apple Mobile Device Support, as instructed by Apple. But still no luck.
I've tried switching to another USB port of my MacBook. No luck.
My iTunes is the latest 9.0.1, and my Mac OSX is 10.6.1. My iPhone is on 3.1, upgraded from 3.0.
I've read from web that it seems I'm not the only one out there having this problem. But none of them seem having any real working solution.
Urgent help needed & appreciated. Millions of thanks in advance.

3. as said, i did completely remove & install itunes (incl. apple mobile device support), as instructed on the apple webpage
anyway, did a restore just now. it seems okay now. but the problem is i have no idea what cause this, and i can't replicate the problem. so i don't know when it will happen again ... maybe a bug with os 3.1 ... others on web said os 3.1 is quite buggy ...

Seeking for API to deal with XML processing instructions

I have a requirement to list all the processing instructions inside a xml document.
E.g. For the document

I need to print out PIs AAA, BBB, CCC.
Two solutions i can find are:
1. to treat the doc as a string and do a pattern search for <?*?>.
2. use IF_IXML_DOCUMENT to traverse all the nodes and check their node types against IF_IXML_NODE=>CO_NODE_PI_PARSED and TYPE = IF_IXML_NODE=>CO_NODE_PI_UNPARSED.
However, I am wondering if there's any xml API to deal with XML PIs.
During my research on this, i got IF_IXML_DOCUMENT. It provides two creation APIs for XML PI: CREATE_PI_PARSED and CREATE_PI_UNPARSED. However, there is no corresponding getter API found.
Does anybody know if there is such one?

Never use anything ends .. provider. They're for trivial demo apps. Transform xml into objects and use them. Write it back as xml. Preferably, use a database.

Xml variable removes process-instruction

I have a project that reads documents through a watch folder. The files that are dropped in are xml and contain a processing instruction with some meta data is needed in my process. I have configured a watch folder endpoint using 3 different type of input variables for document, xml, and string. When I do document I get the document object but no access to the processing instruction. When I do xml, I get the xml in a variable but all processing instructions are removed including the xml declaration. Finally, when I use a string, the variable is set with a binary representation of the file that looks like base 64. I have tested a different process reading the xml from file system as a string and I can use string functions to extract the values I need that way. I'm wondering if anybody knows what I can do to configure my watch folder enpoint so that I can access the processing directive either as xml or as a string.

The <?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>) xml declaration can occur only once and that too at the very top of the xml file before everything else. I think your best bet would be to strip the xml declaration and the doctype declaration before appending. You might want to check the API documentation of the API you are using to serialize the xml to see if it supports suppressing xml and doctype declarations.
With apache xerces, you can do
OutputFormat.setOmitXMLDeclaration(true);
where OutputFormat dictates what underlying serialized is used to serialize the document based on the specified method.

Have you tried improving your original image with better lighting, better camera, better lens, etc.? What image processing have you done already, or are you starting from scratch? I agree with AnalogKid in providing some sample images to the forum so we can get an idea of what you are working with. Have you performed any morphology processing on the image? Have you tried edge detection functions? There are numerous functions that NI provides with their NI Vision software that will help you process your image, it is just finding the right combination that is the toughest part. Last, if you do have the Vision software, I might suggest taking a look at the Vision concepts manual to get an idea of the different functions and their capabilities. Let us know what kind of images you are working with and what you have done so far, and last, what you would like to eventually see. Thanks, and have a great day.

I was give the 9 individual programs I needed to make however they were converted to Java files from .pde files. The program is based on Java but only runs .pde files and NOTHING else!
I decompiled the files and got the source code, but it is a slight variation of the original someone made in processing, and needs some tidying to get it to run.
I think the programs are very simple for a programmer, although I AM NOT.

what is the problem with my code?
When running the same example, by creating a local server in Eclipse(creating new Server connection pointing to same Tomcat 6.0 installation) it runs fine without any error.

I have one more question. I have a context.xml file under {color:#0000ff}E:\Deepa\workspace\DBTest\WebContent\META-INF{color} folder and that has the Resource element to connect to MySQL database:

So to overcome this error I had to place the <Resource> element in DBTest.xml under C:\Tomcat 6.0\conf\Catalina\localhost {color:#000000}and then it works fine. {color}{color:#ff0000}*Why is the context.xml file in META-INF not considered by Tomcat server using Sysdeo Plugin?*

Help need to switch Muse site to BC on a allready hosted plan

Hi, i also posted on BC forum...
I have a client that was in a hurry to have his emails accounts before the entire website.
So i went on and bought the email marketing plan (cos he will also need to do email campains) an pointed his domain everything is working fine, at this moment he has his accounts the domain is live.
The site would be just a small 7-10 pages not to complicated.
Has a graphic designer (who has venture into Business catalyst cos it had all the solutions i needed, well that's what the promotional videos said anyway) I made a site in Muse.
First i did a temporary page thats says "comming soon", and then i made the entire site, all the design and menu but with blank pages cos the client didnt have all the content yet (and still dont have). I uploaded that site to a sub directory so he could see the evolution.
He approved the design, yay!
At the end of the process, he told me he needed to have full control with the editor. (style, images, bulleted list, need to put downloadable document like pdf etc.) i told him that he could only modify what was allready there with the Muse in Browser editing (that he saw when i made the pitch using another site) he was impress with the way it worked.
so i told him i would have to remake "template".
I thought of using a BC template, and modify the looks to adapt to my client image, Of course, use a responsive theme so he could make the change at one place only. (cos in Muse you need to make the changes on the 3 layouts).
Now, i created a new temporary site using one of the new responsive template available.
How can i import that new site onto his live domain? In other words, how can a switch from a theme made in Muse, to a BC template?
cant i just delete everything in the root folder, and upload the entire new site via ftp?
please help me find the solution. i am a bit in a panic here

Thanks for additional details.
Unfortunately we cannot change site template of a live site in BC , but as a workaround Create a site from BC using the template you wish to use then publish the site from Muse to the site created from BC and transfer the contents stored from live site to trial site. Ater final transition is done , you can delete the already paid site and make live the new trial site which includes new site template.
