Help needed running catrep !!
Hello,
i need some help running the catrep sql file. Every time i get
the error package STANDARD not created.
Some error messages from the log file :
ORA-1654: unable to extend index SYS.I_SOURCE1 by 100 in
tablespace SY
STEM

Where is the problem ?
@catalog or @catproc produce also errors.
i've created the database with the CREATE DATABASE command. So
in the orainst i choose to start without the demo database.

first check whether SYSTEM tablespace has enough free space for
the replication packages (should be something like 40M)
if you did succeed with free space check the status of pl/sql
system packages: select * from dba_errors; output should not
contain references to dbms_* packages. if it does, re-run
catalog.sql and catproc.sql

W350 help needed - runs out of room synching my Outlook Notes
I have about 50 short notes saved in Outlook Notes that I would like to have synched with my W350 phone. Trouble is, that when I synch, I run out of room for these Notes at around #40.
My question: My phone has a 2GB ram chip in it. If I go to a bigger chip, will I be able to download all the notes? Trouble is, I am not sure if the phone uses this extra memory for Notes, or if it's in some kind of built-in memory in the phone. I don't keep music or anything other than Contacts and Calendar items on the phone.

Hi All,Help needed to run JSTL 1.1 in Tomcat 6.0.16. I am trying to run the example given in http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-6.0-doc/jndi-datasource-examples-howto.html The example tries to connect to MySQL database from JSP using JSTL and JNDI Datasource.I am running the example using Eclipse 3.4.2 using Sysdeo plugin to start and stop Tomcat server from Eclipse IDE.

So to overcome this error I had to place the <Resource> element in DBTest.xml under C:\Tomcat 6.0\conf\Catalina\localhost {color:#000000}and then it works fine. {color}{color:#ff0000}*Why is the context.xml file in META-INF not considered by Tomcat server using Sysdeo Plugin?*

I've created a PHP web application in Dreamweaver, which uses a MySQL database, containing 14 tables.
On one page, I use a an SQL query to select data from 10 of the tables in the database.
However, when I try to preview the page in a browser, a PHP warning stating that the MySQL engine has run out of memory.
Is there a way of increasing the Memory Cache of the engine, or a way to optimize the performance?Is this happening locally?
If it is, try rebooting your system and see if this fixes the problem. If not then you have a problem with your code. If it works locally but not on the server, then you know it's not something in your code causing the issue, so you can confidently go to your host support and have them sort it out.
With any such situation, testing locally first is a vital debugging step.

Help needed on installation of Oracle 9i EE on Sun Solaris 8. The problem I met was: we followed the installation guide from the documentation. And we selected the choice "install software only". After it was done successfully, we run Database Configuration Assistant utility to create a database instance. But finally it always tried to create the instance at the root directory ( / ) which doesn't have enough space and then failed. The case was that we have set the enviroment parameters: $ORACLE_BASE = /export/mydata, $ORACLE_HOME = /export/apps/oracle9i. That means it should be installed at /export/mydata, but it didn't. Any help or advice are welcome. Thanks.

Now I am mounting that DVD in Solaris 10 installed in my VMware . I made a new directory named as 'installation ' under /export/home/oracle and copied the folders from DVD to 'installation' folder. Now I am entering installation folder and try to do ./runInstaller as 'oracle ' user and getting the error mentioned before.

help needed with itunes please tryed to move my itunes libary to my external hard drive itunes move ok and runs fin but i have none of my music or apps or anything all my stuff is in the itunes folder on my external hard drive but there is nothing on ituns how do i get it back help,please

If you have bad song links in your library, hilite them and hit the delete button. Then locate the folder(s) where your music is located and drag and drop into the large library window in iTunes ( where your tracks show up). This will force the tunes into iTunes. Before you start, check your preferences in iTunes specifically under the"Advanced" tab, general settings. I prefer that the 1st 2 boxes are unchecked. (Keep iTunes Music folder organized & Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library). They are designed to let iTunes manage your library. I prefer to manage it myself. Suit yourself. If there is a way for iTunes to restore broken links other than locating one song at a time I haven't found it yet. (I wish Apple would fix this, as I have used that feature in other apps.) This is the way I do it and I have approx. 25,000 songs and podcasts and videos at present. Hope this helps. -
URGENT HELP NEEDED - iPhone 3Gs no longer detected or charged by MacBook
My iPhone 3Gs (3.1) has been running fine, until several hours ago today, when I plugged it to my MacBook, the iPhone is no longer detected - it doesn't show up in iTunes, nor it is charged. I tried opening iPhoto, and it wasn't there too. Not with Image Capture too. I tried charging it using the out-of-box wall charger using the same out-of-box USB cable I use for MacBook, and it can be charged without any problem. Then I put it into Recovery mode, and there iTunes can see it. I don't want to restore it before I figure out exactly what went wrong, as I don't want the restore process somehow gets stuck in the middle that the connection is lost again.
I've tried reinstalled iTunes, including completely removal of Apple Mobile Device Support, as instructed by Apple. But still no luck.
I've tried switching to another USB port of my MacBook. No luck.
My iTunes is the latest 9.0.1, and my Mac OSX is 10.6.1. My iPhone is on 3.1, upgraded from 3.0.
I've read from web that it seems I'm not the only one out there having this problem. But none of them seem having any real working solution.
Urgent help needed & appreciated. Millions of thanks in advance.

I have been assigned some work for a program called Processing 1.0 availale at http://processing.org/download
I was give the 9 individual programs I needed to make however they were converted to Java files from .pde files. The program is based on Java but only runs .pde files and NOTHING else!
I decompiled the files and got the source code, but it is a slight variation of the original someone made in processing, and needs some tidying to get it to run.
I think the programs are very simple for a programmer, although I AM NOT.

Help needed with G5 older OS...
I'm not sure exactly where to post this. I posted these same things over in the OS10.3 boards and it was suggested I also post them here, so here goes.....
As always, just make sure you don't install a browser that is incompatible with your OS. Many users downloaded and installed Safari 3 from their 1.3.2 version and found they had to reinstall their OS. It has caused many problems for users. Always check the System Requirements for any software that you install before! I can't tell you how many people come to the discussion forums every day with that type of problem whereas if they had only checked first they most likely wouldn't have any problem at all.<<</div>
Hi: wish I'd read this before Friday morning!! I made the above mistake Friday morning because previously, when I'd tried to install an "upgrade" that wasn't for panther, there was always a warning message that wouldn't allow me to install. Friday, there was no such warning, so I thought is was safe!
Afterwards, the old 1.3.2 would not open, could not re-install, the Installer program told me that 1.3.2 would not work on my system etc. Then the real fun began.... Mail would not open, my acrobat reader would not open, (could not re-install it either) then kodak camera interface software would not open or re-install, and so on.... ran the "short" version of the hardware test that came on the "additional software" disc with the computer and all tests passed. Worked with firefox and thunderbird all weekend because I've got a couple work deadlines approaching. Then firefox quit/crashed 3 times yesterday. So, I ran the extended hardware test this morning twice and got same error message both times indicating a problem with one of the memory cards. Now, here's where it gets really wierd, one local tech I talked to today says I clearly need to replace the memory card and do a "clean re-install" the other local tech says, bring it in and we'll look at it. Might be the memory card, or not... (???) if the machine says it's the memory card, how can it not be that???? But these last ones are the same people who put in a new logic board and processor, then a new hard drive due to kernel panics 10 days apart around Labor day of last year, and may or may not have checked the RAM out first.... Help!!! what do I do and whom do I trust????
The guy who stands to make 5-600 dollars replacing the memory card and backing up/re-installing my software/data, or the ones who worked on it in Sept. who want $60/hour bench time (with at least a 2 day backlog, bring it in and we'll get to it in 2-3 days) to test it and then tell me what's wrong with it.... I'm confused, feeling very paranoid, and broke (spent almost $1000 in sept on the logic/processor/hard drive, only to find out from my husband today that the tech in sept. told him they got their drives from best buy!?!?!?)

I've got a PowerPC G5 (tower) with a 1.8GHZ processor and a "superdrive" NOT an Imac. My G5 was brand new in Feb of '05. In Feb of '06 my old Mac monitor burnt up, literally, and I replaced it with a Samsung "flat screen".
When I originally purchased the computer, I bought extended apple care which ran out in Feb of 08. About 1 month before the warranty was up, Safari started crashing randomly and some of the other software got "quirky" as well. I called apple shortly before the end of the warranty and learned about the "repair permissions/empty caches" routine that one is supposed to run and was told that this would probably "cure" the symptoms the computer was having at that time. It did, mostly. When they would recur, I would run the "permissions" routine again etc. The kernel panic occurred last fall, first on labor day. I took it to the only local "authorized" apple service place. They supposedly ran some tests and initially couldn't find what was wrong, so they benched it and came up with one test that "supposedly" showed a problem with the logic board/processor. So they replaced that and sent it home. The machine ran fine for 4 days then went into kernel panic again, so I took it back over there and that time they replaced the hard drive with one they bought at best buy. The first time they had the computer they did a "clean" install and when I got the computer back here, I re-installed all the "extra" software like MS word, illustrator, etc.
The second time they had the computer, they did an "archive and install" and some of the software hasn't worked properly ever since, but I was told by them that they wouldn't know what was causing that so I might as well just use it the way it was.... When I asked these guys today if they had checked the RAM before they put in the logic board etc. they couldn't tell me for sure if they had....
I haven't had any Kernel panics since then (knock on wood) but the software has been "quirky"....
You mention the WebKit system files problem. Would that cause the hardware test to report a bad memory card that wasn't really bad????
The memory cards that I have were purchased (from mac zone) with the computer as a 2GB kit for powermac G5 brand name I think was "edge" and they were professionally installed here by a computer geek friend who owed me a favor. They've performed well since Feb of 2005...
I would like to post this elsewhere in the forums, as you suggest, but am not sure where to do so.... any suggestions?

< Edited by Host >1)The same machine went into kernel panic Sept 1,'08, was tested by the local authorized mac repair center, they tested and (quoting their report) "2 different errors occurred, both related to logic board, so replaced logic board".
panics are RAM or USB related and RAM can be marginal.

The machine ran fine for 4 days then went into kernel panic again. That time the repair guys report says:
tested HD and 1 utility reported an error on the drive. (unable to duplicate this result) installed new 80GB SATA HD
there is only one good reliable program for hard drive maintenance (panther era) Alsoft Disk Warrior. Something you should be using yourself, as part of your daily / weekly / monthly backup routine.
When all of my current weirdness started, I called a couple friends who work on computers and they said that the hardware test I just ran was reliable and the memory card should be replaced, no question.
I called the authorized repair shop that I'd been to in Sept. and they said there was no way to tell, without them looking at the machine.
Call me paranoid, but this seems strange. If the hardware test says a memory card is bad, it's bad, right?
Yes. also, memory errors can be more 'soft' errors and harder and take longer to find, but if AHT says error, well, it could be bad logicboard and DIMM slot, so yes.
Apple has a more robust hardware test than your AHT, only Apple Service knows what all the codes mean, but Google is your friend there also.
But the guys that did the repair couldn't tell me if they'd even checked the memory in Sept. ... meaning, the memory could have been bad, or going bad all along, and I found it by accident?!?!
So who do I believe? the hardware test and my friends, or the repair shop guys? so, I'm asking should I replace the memory card (have one of my computer friends do it here, on site, actually) and do a re-install?
When making changes of any kind, it is common to get a panic first time IF the system does not have NVRAM cleared. You couldn't boot though until that was resolved.
Unless they booted and ran AHT and software memory test, can't tell, but memory can work and then fail, not get along with another set, fail after a software update (NOT usual for Crucial etc).
Trust your friends.
Since I've got to do the re-install anyway, should I just upgrade to newer OS? If so, will 2GB RAM be enough to run the OS plus the programs I've mentioned?
More concerned with your programs you use working and being compatible and costs of upgrading. So no, you may want to put that on the back burner and stay with what has worked for now, if possible.

RAM is normally done in pairs. 2 x 1GB to get to 2GB. or 4 x 1GB.

The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -50)I would get an external drive today and copy all your stuff off the TC.. forget trying to load more onto it. There is a good chance after 3years (A 2TB should be only about 2years tops), the disk or the TC itself is on the way out. Do it immediately. If TM is also failing to backup you need to recognise symtoms of impending doom.
Unfortunately the error messages are archane and it is hard to discover their meaning.
You also cannot verify a network drive.. you can verify the TM sparsebundle though so do that.

Reboot the whole network from off.. certainly if you run later OS it can simply lose the drive..
If you still fail to be able to copy to the TC.. then get that external and copy off it. Tell us if you can do that. -

You can either ignore those errors (since they have no impact on your page's functionality) or you can use DW to convert your page to an HTML5 doctype (File > Convert > HTML 5, and then the errors will go away.
