I need help to develop a soft phone with the help of JTAPI along with PAP2T Adapter on Broadband Connection.
I'm not getting any single solution on how to develop VoIP software.
I'm ready to change technology from java to other but I want help/suggestion on it So that I can just make or receive call on phone.

Help Needed for Resetting VoIP SPA 2100 Codes

Yesterday afternoon, I lost power to my home for a few minutes; until then my phone worked perfectly (for the week that I had it initially installed). I have the Earthlink TrueVoice program with a ZyXEL P 600 series DSL modem and direct Ethernet cable (NO router) to my ATA adapter (Linksys VoIP model SPA 2100). My computer is an HP Pavilion 8755C with Windows Millenium Edition. I have a standard (wire) phone connection. After the power was restored to my home, I tried to use my ATA adapter (Linksys VoIP model SPA 2100) to make a phone call, but there was a five-second delay between when I spoke and when someone on the other end of the line heard me. I contacted Earthlink through online chat and was told to do the following: Dial **** 877778 # 1 to reset the adapter. I did this and nothing positive happened (though I did hear a recorded English woman’s voice repeat the numbers I dialed); I did, however, lose the dial tone and was unable to connect to the Internet with my DSL. So, to conduct more online chat, I re-routed the Ethernet cable to bypass the ATA adapter; I was successful at restoring my Internet, but, obviously, I had NO phone service. More than 8 hours of online chats to Earthlink technical service resulted in failure each time. I swapped ends of my cables numerous times – no success. I removed the power cords to the ATA adapter and to the DSL Modem MULTPILE times for for up to 5 minutes – no success. The lights on the back of the ATA lit properly, but since the first time I tried the **** 877778 # 1 code, the Status light blinks and the light indicating “Phone 1” stays dark (yes, there is astandard phoneline connected to that port). I tried multiple codes to reset the ATA (re-coding instructions are separated by semi-colons): **** 877778 # 1 ; **** 877778 # 1 # ; **** 732668 # ; *** *73738 # 1 . I unplugged the power cord and Ethernet cable (to the modem) on the ATA adapter for about 1 or 2 minutes after trying to reset the code before reattaching everything (power cord always re-attached last). I tried each of these suggestions MULTIPLE times without success. One Earthlink tech wanted more specific information – the MAC address (which I was told is a 12 digit hexa decimal number that starts with zero). I told him what it was. He asked me to try a “ping” test; I was told to click on Start -> Run, type in cmd and hit Enter. A new window would appear and I should type in ping 192.168.0.1 and hit Enter. I never got to the “new window” because after I typed in “cmd” and hit Enter, I received the message “Windows cannot find cmd.” I was told to dial the code * * * * 110 # and to hear my IP address; I heard nothing. I noticed that the last time I tried to dial **** 877778 # 1, I was interrupted before I typed the final “1” because the recorded voice told me “invalid value.” Around 1 a.m. last night I gave up in disgust and went to sleep, disconnecting everything. I have now reconnected the DSL modem and made the direct connection to my computer (the ATA adapter is still disconnected from power and all connecting cables). I am not an idiot and I have some electronics experience (I have wired several home theater systems), but I have little computer experience (and none with VoIP) and right now I am totally frustrated. The tech support at Earthlink is virtually worthless. Please help (and please keep it in simple terms so that an ignorant individual like myself might learn – I need a nice step-by-step method (including times to wait between restarts, what cables/cords to disconnect and the order to disconnect/reconnect them (if that matters) to reset this device) Thanks from a neophyte who is not afraid to be honest and show his ignorance in this area of knowledge.

hi,
i have a SPA-2100 it's a Sipura, and it now asks for a password. I was putting all my settings in for voip provider and now can not get in my admin? i did try the 73738 and that did not work. I was able to put my providers sip and stun all in. is it i'm locked out from my voip provider? If so why would that be, because this is not their device, it's mine? but how do I get back in my admin or can the voip provider I put in, help?

i'm developing one appln in j2me.in that i want to read and save images from and to phone memory.i already tried it with file connection api.File connection api supports only CLDC1.1 most of the mobile supports CLDC1.0
can u tell me a soln for this read and write.is there any other API to be used to make use of Fileconnection within CLDC1.0 itself

Help needed in developing midlet to communicate with pc application

hi , i am trying to develop a j2me application for mobile phone and a j2se application for pc
the midlet can send messages to my pc application, upon recieve the message, the pc application will read the message and store it into a database. any1 have any idea, samples or reference to see how to do this? thanks many

There are a couple of ways you could do this. Bluetooth communication is available on a few J2ME devices, so you could do it through that. Or you could set up a servlet on the J2SE app end and send the data over the internet (check out HttpConnection). I'm not sure of any other quick and easy methods.

RE: HELP, Need to get SMS off phone

The screen cracked on my palm pre (sprint) and nothing is readable. I can still connect it to my PC and in 'My Computer' can go into it and see all my pics, mms, etc. However, it doesn't show past text messages. There is a certain conversation via SMS that I NEED for court. This there any program where I can copy my phones entire hard drive to my PC? I don't care about the pics, mms, ringtones, etc......just need those SMS messages. Thanks for any help! I REALLY appreciate it.

Just do a backup by pcsuite & then when your phone got fixed do the restore. If you plan to replaced that damage phone, get the latest pcsuite that support that phone & the one you plan to buy then do the restore on that phone. The latest version of Nokia pcsuite supports backup/restore to a different phone model.

Help needed to develop MESSENGER

Hi,
I would like to develope an Instant Messenger with Flash 8.
I have linux installed on my SERVER with php, mysql and
amfphp and all are working fine.
I have also designed the database required, but I do have a
problem. Can anybody tell me the concept of messenger chating
window....?? I mean to say how it is possible to send messages to
the end user who is online in my list....?? What should I do to
detect the window opened at his end and populate that msg. window
with my message...??
If anybody can help me out to understand the concept. Whether
I should use the client's login session ID or the opened window to
send the message or what...??

There are 2 ways to do a chat: have the server transmit the
messages to the users or let the client ask the server for new
messages. I'd recommend the first one, it's faster and also easier.
For that, you'll need a socket connection clientside
(XMLSocket) and a server process serverside. Now this is where the
trouble begins, most web hosters don't allow you to start services
on their servers. But as you mentioned you have your own server,
this shouldn't be a problem. Pick a language of your choice or
maybe use php to write the server, and let it manage the open
connections, so when a new messages arrives, it can broadcast it to
all other connections.
If you won't or can't do it this way, your clients have to
pull for the messages, meaning they have to ask the server in some
interval for new messages, and load them if available. You can't
actively send the messages to some user, they all have to get them
by themselves. There's a tutorial on that way here:

Help needed 4 developing an application

Hello ppl ,
i am new to this community but have developed some apps in J2ME.Recently i got an idea of developing an application by which i can connect my mobile device to the computer(pc) using bluetooth.And i can control my pc with the mobile device and actually see the whole GUI of the pc on my mobile device.so that i dont need to sit on the pc again & again.
I have heard that there are softwares that are used by administrators for viewing the desktop of their hosts and also control to them through lan,so i want to develop the same thing for the mobile also.
Can anyone tell me if this is possible or not on J2ME platform.i know its very restricted but if this is possible then what platform should u think i should go for.
And also tell me how to setup a lan using bluetooth b/w my pc & mobile device.Like what APIs r there for doing so and what books/tutorials i should refer 2.

I followed this tutorial from adobe http://learn.adobe.com/wiki/display/Flex/Creating+a+BlazeDS+messaging+application+in+Flex+ Builder i installed tomcat server and set the path.I am unable to open server like this http://localhost:8080 but i can able to open that in this way http://127.0.0.1:8080/ .... When i create my new flex project in flash builder 4 i am getting this error
You do not have write permission for the project output folder. Specify another location.
can any one help me in how to get rid of this problem.I hope this forum helps me in finishing my flex project..

Need to use a scrollable resultset and depending on the need to have a stateful connection or a stateless connection you may need to query the table for every request(for stateless connection) and use the same result set for(stateful connection). and depending on the no of records in a page and the page no do some simple arithmetic and move the resultset. Hope this helps.

Urgent Help Needed in Developing Pagewise Navigation System

I have 500 records in the sql server 2000 then i query and retrieve them in a resultsets. and then i want to display 10 records per page having the facility to navigate to the Previous and Next Record also going to first and the last record.

Help needed - app developed with 3.6, yet will not load - asking for 3.2 swz

I'm developing a flex 3 application
I recently uploaded an update to a test environment and bumped into a strage behaviour
the project started a while back and went through a number of versions of the sdk, namely 3.2, 3.5, 3.6
the project is clearly set for 3.6 now and I made sure both the framework swf & swz were uploaded to the same location of the index html page and the application swf.
for some wierd reason, when I test it on other computers, it displays the built in preloader, but fail to load the application,
this is because during the preloading phase the framework is not yet loaded and initialized.
when I checked the network monitor, it showd me a call to the 3.2 version of the flex framework, that could not be loaded
I've made sure again - a - that my project uses 3.6 sdk, and b - that all versions of the framework (3.2, 3.5, 3.6) are up on the server.
any Ideas on where I can go from here?

I've made sure all sdk's and dependencies in the project lead to the right location on the hard drive where the 3.6 SDK is located
it did not change anything
when I test it on other computers and check the network monitor
it still asks for 3.2 swz for an unknown reason
the thing is, even when I've uploaded 3.2 swz & swf to the server
the call for them is still returning a 404 not found...
this is really fastrating
any other ideas please?

Help needed: PC suite shows multiple phones connec...

PC suite shows multiple phones connected after updating the firmware of nokia N73 music edition phone. I get a pop up as soon as I connect my phone, which says that the phone has been connected in an unsupported mode. But I always use the PC suite mode. This issue started soon after I updated the firmware. I had installed the Nokia updater software which installs some drivers for the cable.
Has anyone faced the same issue. Please help me out.

Airport blocking VoIP soft phone

When I bypass the airport and patch straight via ethernet cable into my modem, my softphone works fine. When trying to use it via the airport, no luck.
The modem manufacturer - ZyXel - said the airport is acting as a second router, and I've got to forward the airport to 192.168.2.2 I tried a few things in the airport set up utility, and all that did was shut me down completely.
It's very frustrating because I can go just about any place and use this softphone, but not at home via my airport network.
Can anyone explain to me how to do this? This is territory well out of my range of expertise.

Since you ZyXel is acting as a router, you don't need the AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS) to act as one. Configure the AEBS so that it acts as a bridge (disable the option to distribute IP addresses).
Then you won't need to fool with port forwarding... all the ports are forwarded automatically.
