Help on BW Web Table Modify Classes

Hi Gurus,
I'm working on modify table classes for reporting purpose. We have a report where we have to find the trend analysis, need to check if its uptrend or downtrend..
We have data like this:
2002 | 2003 | 2004 | 2005
0 | 8 | 9 | 10
0 | 10 | 9 | 8
based on this data I have to create a new row which will see how the trend is moving with an icon.
for instant if you see the data, 8-9-10 this called uptrend.. and 10-9-8 is a downtrend. if you see the new column i need to create using modify table classes.
2002 | 2003 | 2004 | 2005 | Status
0 | 8 | 9 | 10 | UP
0 | 10 | 9 | 8 | Down
can anyone please help me with abap code. where i can check I_Display_value in all the rows and the create a new one based on the values.
please gurus, its an urgent for me and really important for our user. Can anyone help me ..

You can use the XDP as is ...it is just this forum that will not accept XDP format. I have already made th erequest to get it changed and we are waiting for the next software update.
There are two sets of bindings for every object on a form. DataBindings allow you to import XML and bind the nodes to the fields and Execute bindings which are used with Web Services. I used your sample XML file as an input for data bindings and got it to work the way you want by using [*] in the binding instructions to indicate that more than one node was present there. This is not possible in the Execute bindings. You can only have a one to one relationship. So I do not think you can do it the way you want.
Can you get the WS to return you the entire XML as a single parameter? If so then you could bind that parm to a hidden field, then load all of the XML into the DataDom and use Data Bindings that do support what you are trying to do. I have included a sample that shows the table being filled the way you want using data binding.
You shoudl contact support and get an enhancement logged to get the WS bindings to act the same way.

Oracle Help for the Web 2.0 is now available on OTN Downloads.
Oracle Help for the Web (OHW) 2.0 is a major update to the previous releases OHW 1.1x and OHW 1.0.x, and is designed and recommended to replace both.
Some of the new features in 2.0 include the following:
Support for Bookmarking Navigator Pages
OHW 2.0 no longer uses frames to store navigational state on the webpage. Each navigator stores its complete state on the URL, allowing each page to be bookmarked. This includes TOC locations, keyword locations, and search runs. In the view topic page, the frame information is also saved, allowing a user to forward the link via email, etc to the displayed topic. In addition, if you navigate to a named anchor within a topic page, this page position is also saved and is bookmarkable.
Multiple Locale Support in a Single Instance
OHW 2.0 can now support multiple locales in the same servlet instance. After you register the helpsets in the OHW configuration file, the OHW servlet will automatically determine the best locale to use for a user request (based on browser settings and what locales are available), and display the localized helpset (along with a localized OHW chrome) to the user. This feature also means that if you navigate to a topic in English, and then send the link via email to a user whose browser supports Japanese, if the Japanese helpset is registered, the topic link will appear in Japanese to the second user.
Search Engine Support
OHW has been specially designed so that search engine crawlers can reach all hosted content (including table of contents, and index pages) and easily traverse within and between the available navigators. Page titles have also been redesigned to make pages easier to locate from within a search engine result set.
Ability to Share Resources Across Localized Helpsets
OHW can be configured so that helpsets can share resources such as images and CSS stylesheets. Since each localized helpset no longer needs its own resources, this can dramatically reduce the size of the deployed file.
Relative Content Locations
Content locations can now be specified relative to the OHW configuration file.
True Popup Support
OHW now properly supports Oracle Help popup links. Following this link will bring up a dynamic draggable DHTML window (or a normal popup window if the browser does not support it) with the requested topic page.
All Level Merging in the Table of Contents
Using the default TOC engines, each level of the TOC will merge like elements together. This change reflects modifications made to core Oracle Help classes and mimics the feature added to Oracle Help for Java (OHJ).
New Tree-based Table of Contents Navigator
The Tree-based TOC navigator shows the data in a heirarchical fashion and allows the user to see the full TOC (and not just a limited part of the TOC, as with previous versions of OHW). The tree-based TOC navigator is a standard navigator and can be added by including it in the helpset configuration file.

Problem loading modified classes from CLASSPATH using system class loader

Hi,
I am facing problem to load the modified classes from CLASSPATH.
I have set my CLASSPATH to a directory whose classes will be modified frequently. After the server(web/app) is started, the system class loader, using which am trying to load the classes from the directory where the CLASSPATH is set, am not able to load the modified files without the server restart.
Do I need to have a custom class loader to fix this.

How to replace a field's search help of DDIC in FPM feeder class?

I want to replace a field's search help in DDIC structure, for an example, in structure HCMT_BSP_PA_XX_R0009, the field BANKL(Bank Keys) has a search help named 'H_BANKL', I want to replace this search help with other one such as 'H_BANKEY' in the FPM feeder class CL_HRESS_PER_DETAIL, I redefined such method:

I test it and found the search help window was replaced indeed, but all the value of import/export parameters in the new search help was lost, it means, the value of import paramer BANKS(Bank country) and the export parameter BANKA(bank name) were lost. Only the value of BANKL itself can be returned by the new search help window. Can you give me some suggestions about how to maintain the link( value exchange) between structure HCMT_BSP_PA_XX_R0009 and dynamically defined search help 'H_BANKEY' in FPM feeder class?
I tried to use sap memory ID but it doesn't works well.

That is because for the import and export of DDIC Search help values to work in WDA, not in FPM layer.Feeder Class can do nothing about it.

How do i hide a column in table interface class

I need to hide a column in Abap table interface class. When i tried to hide from web item properties it didn't work so i am thinking to hide first column in the table interface class

In the WebApplication Designer start Tools -> View Definition -> Based on a Query. Choose your query, change layout to your requirements and save the view. Now just use the view in your webtemplate.

Need help in ALV web dynpro

Hi all,
I need help in the web dynpro ALV.
I have an ALV generated dynamically. On the ALV, there is filter and settings link on the extreme right of the alv header.
How is it possible to get them left align after the export button ?
I want to maitain some gap between the export button, filter and settings.
Please give me inputs.

I am working on an ALV table in a standard Web Dynpro ABAP application.
The business requirement is to hide the header for the ALV table.
The header has a dropdown to choose u201CStandard Viewu201D and 2 options: Filter and Settings.
The footer for the ALV table containing the Row and Column numbering also needs to be hidden.
I am looking at the IF_SALV_WD_TABLE_SETTINGS to find the relevant methods to hide the header and footer.
Please let me know if I am on the right track and if there is an alternate way to do this through changing the layout of the ALV table. I tried to hide the header and footer manually via the layout but am unable to do so, as the ALV table is just displayed as ViewContainerUI Element.
Please help me as to how to hide the header and footer as I am new to ALV in WDA.

How do I make use of Table Modifiers?

Hi Experts
I would like to use Table Modifiers in a web-report, but I have no idea about how to do it.
I want to use table modifier since I am trying to do calculations based on cumulated values, which is not possible (since these are displayed values). Therefore I would like to ignore the number that appears in column 3 below and calculated by using a table modifier instead (let's say column a*b).
(A and B are cumulated values)
A | B | C
1 | 3 | 3 (1 * 3) -> 3 (when table modifier is used)
3 | 4 | 2 (3-1 * 4-3) -> 12(when table modifier is used)
5 | 6 | 4 (5-3 * 6-4) -> 30(when table modifier is used)
Therefore could anyone please tell me the steps that I have to fullfill to make this change? I assume that I have to go to the Web Application Designer and edit the code?
I'm using BW 3.5

R/3 search helps in java web dynpro

Hello,
A customer of ours has some Z transactions in its R/3 system, which basically present a very simplyfied version of MIGO. This Z transaction makes extencive use of Search Helps, which in some cases have been extended.
A ABAP developer with some Web Dynpro experience showed me that it was easy to integrate these search helps into his web dynpro application.
I cannot find how to do this in java web dynpro with the developer studio. Is this possible and if yes, how?

Hi Walter,
You can use search helps in Web Dynpro for Java also. The feilds with check table in R/3 automatically give search helps. To provide explicit search help you need use EVS or OVS.

Help - cannot access web service outside web proxy

I've created stubs using Eclipse (package net.webservicex.www) in another project, compiled into a jar, and imported into the test project.
The test is working beautifully from my home. It's failing in the office with the error:

It's failing when it's trying to execute
WeatherForecasts forecasts = wfs.GetWeatherByZipCode("90210");
The "initialiseConfiguration" function is doing its job OK - it's actually helping me to go through the proxy - if I'm doing simple stuff like accessing internet sites. I've tested it - I can get to any external site and read from it. The moment I disable "initialiseConfiguration", I can't get through the proxy.
So, probably, the problem lies in the web services client classes generated by Eclipse and based on axis. Maybe, the code gets through the proxy, but then starts to do something without authentication??? (I'm not sure if it's possible at all, but who knows...)
I've read a lot of postings on this subject and couldn't find a solution that would work for me. I'm very surprised, because my situation is very common - there are more and more public web services, and most organisations have firewalls. Obviously, I'm making some very elementary mistake.

We have the same problem, not with SOAP but with XML-RPC (err 407). We're still stumped, and i agree that the problem should be common, but i don't see the mistake, so it's not that obvious.
Hypothesis: the proxy is spying on the requests content , and filtering out xml. Can you check that ?

Default Table Interface Class - 0TPL_BAP_MASTER

Hi there
We are trying to determine which table interface class is used on the default 0TPL_BAP_MASTER web template.
We have created our own web template, but one of the pieces of functionality delivered with the standard template is the sort (ascending/descending) functionality which is included as arrows on the table column headings. We would very much like to use this on our custom template, and believe it to be implemented in the table interface class, but are not sure what that class is.
Anybody know the name of the class?

HELP! Beginning JSP with JavaBean Class

First of all, I'm using jdk1.4 beta and Jakarta's tomcat version 4.0.1 release build.
Hello. I desparately need help. I have a JavaBean class ("CarBean.class") saved in %catalina_home%\webapps\root\myapp\web-inf\classes\com\wrox\cars\CarBean.class
I also have a jsp page saved as carpage.jsp in %catalina_home%\webapps\root\myapp\
So when I point my browser to http://localhost:8080/myapp/carpage.jsp, I get an internal server error. It appears it can't find the JavaBean class for some reason. I'm pretty sure I have my envionment variables set up right. I can get it to work, if I save the JavaBean class in c:\jdk1.4\jre\class\com\wrox\cars

I'm not new to java, just JSP. I just don't know why I can't get the jsp to locate the JavaBean class. I remember I used to have an older version of Tomcat and I recall not having any problems. It seems the Tomcat 4.XX is somewhat significantly different than previous versions. Perhaps I configured my Tomcat wrong? Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

i am not using Tomcat server but as i worked in JWS you have to import the bean class from jsp files.
so the first code in jsp file will be like this
<%@ page import = "CarBean">
becoz JWS cant automatically find the bean class we have to explicitly import bean.but i dont know if tomcat finds
bean or one have to import.

Right now I try to set column class type and in this way my table sort class can check integer column and sort like interger not string (1,3,20 not 1,20,3).
My problem is there is no setColumnClass method in AbstractTableModel.
How can I do it??

There probably is a better solution.
But I overloaded the getColumnClass(int ColumnIndex) function in the Table Model and return different classes depending on the Column selected...

Update jar file with modified class files

I'm developing a jar utility for updating a jar file with modified class files as of now i have reached a point where in i can browse files and set it to required location
i.e i have developed a swings GUI application using JfileChooser and browse the files ..now my requirement is to update the jar files with modified class file
GUI looks like below
....enter the modified class file ----> d:\c.class
....enter the jar file path ---> d:\a.jar
                                                      update button now i have the requirement as
1> when i click on the update button ,my jar file (a.jar) should get updated with the latest class file (c.class)
can u help me to achieve this requirement.???

Alter table modify lob shrink space hangs despite ddl_lock_timeout

Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.2.0 - 64bit Production
The following command hangs despite session parameter ddl_lock_timeout being set to 0:
alter table <table> modify lob (<column>) (shrink space);
Data type of <column> is CLOB. In another session a transaction on <table> is open, with a simple update on a different (non-LOB) column.
Looks like a bug to me, but have no access to metalink for confirmation/SR submission and would appreciate any comments/help on this issue.
