Help on OB28

Hi experts,
I have a requirement where in ZZBENEFITS will be created in the validation. A user should enter value from the list. The value is already filtered depends on the wage type defined in the transaction. Should I create in the OB28? And also should I maintain a custom table in SM30 that will hold the values and use this as Check table for easy maintenance? Or a Group SET ID would help?
Are validations names the same with the fieldnames?
Really need your assistance because I'm not famliar with OB28.

This is not possible in OB28. A validation looks only if the values is OK or NOT.
When you want this you can tray to use OBBH Substitution with an user exit.
The substitution is the step before the values are in the memory from the program (here you can change/ ad values) and the validation after (no changes possible)
Do this only in some cases. When you have to many validation and substitutions no one understand what is happening and when thing are changing or when there are errors it can take hours even days to found and solve the problem. When thing are not working (blocked) users will found other solutions (use an other wrong G/L account, cost center,...)

This message applies to a problem with change requests. When creating a message, it's a workbench request that system has to create. Apparently, when you try to create a message, it tries to catch 'tramp' on existing CR which is assigned to a different client in your system. You should try assigning a new CR for this change; you could ask your BASIS team to help you on this.

OB28 line item validations

Hi Experts ,
Please help me for the following scnerio
My OB28 line item validation is as follows .
Prerequiste
BKPF-TCODE = 'FBVB' AND ( BSEG-KOART = 'S' ) AND (
BSEG-BSCHL = '40' OR BSEG-BSCHL = '50' )

Error! SAKNR is initialised. Please delete this line and re-create again.
For the above scenario I need validation as follows .
I am implementing validation to ensure when user performed posting of parked document (tcode FBVB, FBV0), the field SAKNR is not being initialised with any value when the line items contained posting key(BSCHL) 40/50.
]As I am unable to create a wrong document with the above scenario, I need a program to create such an entry (this entry should not hardcode the information) so I could test if the validation rightfully trigger and stopped such wrong entry from being created.
may be I need to write user-exit for the above scenario , how I can validate SAKNR field with value and with out value ,
I debugged the program ZGGBR000 , and I inserted the field SAKNR with value , then the FI validation was triggered . but I want to implement the above bolded information.
Please help me as early as possible.

First of all, I'm not sure if you can park a FI doc without a GL a/c (SAKNR) in a productive system? and therefore what's the use of this validation??
Anyways, you could change the values in the debugger (SAKNR = ' ') in program ZGGBR000 when you are trying to park a document. After changing values of the variables the validation should give you the correct error message.
Other way is to write a BDC program with SAKNR = ' ' but before reaching the validation the standard program will issue an error message...so I dont think this would be the correct approach.

Afterwards because of change of requirement i was bound to delete the validation AJAY , but after deleting and saving it the code was not deleted from the includes automatically.
Now when a user is trying to post the journal entry using FB01 , he is getting a compilation error from the includes.
The FORM "VALCHCK_2AJAY###001" does not exist, but there is a FORM with
the similar name "VALCHCK_2TEST###001".In Includes GBTI6FID
Is there any way i can create these forms , or i can delete the perfrom code from the includes.

 It got solved but using a different method. Since the code was not getting deleted , i did created the same validation again and have regenerated the code.

validation in the Tcode SPRO.
You will get this using following seq.
Financial Accounting --> Financial Account Global setting -> Document-> lineitem ---> define validation for posting.
From here what should i do.i.e how to configure this ?

Validations and Substitutions are part of SAP Enhancements .
Tcode : OB28 .
in validations u have to create steps / levels ,
say step 1.
step1-> pre.requi->
if Username = 'Prabhu'
step1->checks->
Company Code = 'PIH'.
step1->message->
here u have to give message class / message type (I/W/E...)and messag text 'prabhu is from PIH'.
after that activate this validations , u Can call this Validations at Tcode level.

Validation and Substitutions - Urgent Help needed

Hello everyone,
I need your help about this. This is the first time i am going to create a validation for document no. line items.
The scenario is this:
1. I need to check if the FI document that is to be posted contains line items where BSEG-LOKKT falls within the range of 0099990000-0099999999. For each matching line item, I need to check if the credit line items balances with the debit line items. If TRUE then the validation will EXIT succesfully.
2. If an FI document contains line items where BSEG-LOKKT falls within the range of 0099990000-0099999999, but the sum of the debit line items and the credit line items is not equal to zero, validation will prevent thre user from posting the document. Error message will be raised.
3. If FI document document does not contain line items with BSEG-LOKKT ranging from 0099990000-0099999999, validation will exit successfully because there are no appropriate alternative accts to be verified.
This validation will only apply to one company code.
Please provide me with the step-by-step creation of the validation.
Points will be rewarded for helpful answers.

Change the Message class (OB28) for validations

Hi Experts,
I was trying to change the Message class (OB28) for validations which are created last 1 year ago, as we have two Validations where each validation has 15 to 16 steps in it. One validation starts with Y & another with Z. Both are using the same message class as of now.
But we want to use different message class for validation which starts from Z. We tried changing from program RGUGBR28 but it will change the message class for the both validation which starts from Y & Z, we need to change to only one validation.
Please let me know any way out for this.

Hi Shilpa,
The message class during the maintenance of a validation, it is not changeable because the message class is not attached at the individual validation but at the entire validation class, that is a combination of application and call time.
During the first creation of a validation at the moment of "document line item" in application "cost accounting" the message class is asked for and these then for the entire validation class, stored in this case "001" in the table GB02C and from now is no more changeable.
The reason for that is, that a change affects all validation of a grade just globally and that even cross-client, since the GB02C is not client-specific.

I created two validation in one company code. After that in the transaction OB28 i just can activate one of them.
is something like:

and when i try to create another one is possible,inside the XXXX. But when i try to do the same line for my another validation

Appear that ERROR
Target key must be different from source key
Message no. SV015

Hi, the key is Company code and Call up point, so it's not possible to create another validation for this CC and call up point, just create new Steps in existing Validation

Validations using OB28 is not working for GL posting using FB01

Hi Experts,
Validations using OB28 for posting using FB01 is not working.
My requirement is after entering a line items and click post validations should be triggerd.
i want to block a posting based on document type.
i have maintained as below..
Prerequisite.
( BKPF-TCODE = 'FB50' OR BKPF-TCODE = 'FB01' ) AND (
BKPF-BUKRS = '1000' OR BKPF-BUKRS = '0001' OR
BKPF-BUKRS = '0002' ) AND BKPF-BLART = 'XX'.
check.
Used userexit to check sy-ucomm = 'BU' (for posting).
entries are maintained in OB28 for relevant company codes.
it is working for FB50 but not FB01.
same thing i tried to maintain at header level as well as item level. but it is working only for FB50 but for FB01.
Please help me.

Hi Venu,
Go to GGB0 and expand the navigation till you reach the validation name of line item level and choose menu item *Validation -> Simulate.
Here you can enter the inputs, those you are entering while doing FB01 and execute it.
Then in the results, you will have the log for each step of your total validation of line item level.
Check , whether your questioned STEP's pre requisite is met and check is not fullfilled.
Accordingly you can make the changes to the STEP.

help my safari doesn't open and gives me a crash report ever since i downloaded a file from the internet. I have a macbook air (early 2014) with running os x yosemite version 10.10.1

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
You may have installed the "Genieo" or "InstallMac" ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it.
Back up all data before making any changes.
Besides the files listed in the linked support article, you may also need to remove this file in the same way:
~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.genieo.completer.ltvbit.plist
If there are other items with a name that includes "Genieo" or "genieo" alongside any of those you find, remove them as well.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.

Apple Mini DVI to Video Adapter is not working. Please Help...

I bought an Apple Mini DVI to Video Adapter to connect my Macbook to a TV using normal video cable. When I connect the cable, my Laptop DIsplay gives a flickr once and then it shows nothing. I checked Display in the system preference where I don't get a secondary monitor option. My TV is panasonic and it's an old one. I work on Final Cut Pro and it's very very important to see my videos on a TV. What am I doing wrong with the connection? Anyone Please Please help...

Your probably not doing anything wrong. There are thousands of users with Similar issues and it seems to be with many different adapters.
We have Mini DP to VGA (3 different brands) and they all fail most of the time. This seems more prevalent with LCD Projectors. I've tested some (50+) with VGA Monitor (HP) and they all worked, LCD Projector (Epson, Hitachi, and Sanyo) and they all fail, DLP Projector (Sanyo) and one worked.
My Apple Mini DP to DVi works most of the time. My Mini DP to HDMI (Generic non Apple) works every time.
The general consensus is that Apple broke something in the OS around 10.6.4 or 10.6.5 and its not yet fixed. As we are a school we have logged a case with the EDU Support group so will see what happens.

ive got a 20" intel imac. i bought a mini dvi to video adapter.it said it works with the intel macs.
i maybe being a bit thick here but the end of the dvi seems to be a different size to the port on the mac.
please help....................

PSE icons instead of the photo. I need to view photos at a glance. Please help me????

Please help, this is driving me crazy. I have downloaded my free PSE #9, it came with my Leica Camera. I cannot view at a glance any of my photos. There is only an icon that reads, PSE. To view any of my photos, I must click select and then preview. This gets old, and I am doing 4 times the work. I am having to use the dates to guess where my photos might be. I hate this! My old Photo Shop #5 didn't do this. When you went to my pictures, you could see every photo.
I have tried the right click and open as any program. What ever program I choose, that is the icon that appears. No photo. Still no good.
Please help.

Hi,
Are you using Windows Explorer to view the files?
If so, load Explorer, go to the Tools menu and select Folder Options.
Click on the View tab and make sure the first option (Always show icons, never thumbnails) is not checked.
Click on OK and see if that is any better.
