Help please with adf table select one
Greetings:
I have a table made from a "data control" an af:tableSelectOne. I put an af:CommandButton on the same page. When I click this button I want to set the current record to the selected row, then I forward to a page where the user is asked to confirm deletion of the selected record. My problem is that no matter what I select the first row is always returned.
What I tried to do was binding setCurrentRowWithKey to that button, this made no difference in the behavior. The delete page always comes up with the first row selected.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Is your button inside the <af:tableSelectOne> area?
This should work by default if you drag the data-control to create a table with a select option and a submit button. Then you can drag the delete button next to the submit button, or even bind the delete operation to the existing submit button.

Problem with ADF Table Selection

Working in jdev 11.1.1.3.0
I have search page, after search will select one row and based on that row rest all pages will navigate... everything is working fine. But once coming back to search page selection is there but when i trying to navigate to next pages its always giving 1st row information only not the selected row. Its expecting me to select the row one more time.
For example
1. Did the search and got 5 rows.
2. Select 3 row.
3. click on detail button which will navigate to detail page and update some data, if you want you can navigate to another page from here.
4. click on back button.
5. Row selection will still at 3rd row only.
6. now when i click on detail button, it will gives 1st row details but not the 3rd.
7. if i select the same row again on the search page then its giving proper detail page only.
Because of this issue user is confusing which row they selected...
I try to set displayRow as first but no use.
Can any one suggest me what is going wrong here.

which "4. click on back button." ? If its the browser back button then this only navigates back the UI not the server state of an application.

Problem with adf tables in dynamyc region
Hello.
I have a problem when use ADF tables within dynamic regions. It happens that if the table is inside the first task flow that is loaded (by default) in the dynamic region, retrieves the data perfectly, but if the table is in a second, third and so on. task flow, does not retrieve data. This happens only with adf tables and graphics, if I use a component form, for example, does not present any problem.
Any idea that can be happening?
I'm using Jdveloper 11.1.1.1.0
Appreciate any ideas or help with this problem

No cell merge possible with adf table?
i know that there is no cell merge possible with adf table.
however i read that with trinidad table it's possible.
my table has data like this:
d1 - tommy - 5
d1 - tommy - 7
d2 - burpy - 3
d2 - burpy - 4
d2 - tom - 7
now i have to merge first column (dog id) where id is same -

i am creating this dog table thru a data control on jspx page.
can anyone suggest some help?
or will i have to use html table for it? i really want to avoid html.

Or use inlined iterators to layout the dataonly issue with pivot table is it doesn't display header for left columns unless u take ur cursor there.
tree table is completely different kind of view - imo.

Help please with 2006 Macbook 13inch, for tv hook up.
Help please with 2006 Macbook 13inch, to hook up to tv for streaming. The display works through VGA but the audio isn't working. Got a plug that goes into headphone jack on computer and connects into the audio jack on the back of tv but no sound. I'm not quite sure what the issue is, whether its the wrong plug, the tv, or the computer. Best Buy says this is the right plug and it seems that it would be, but who knows. If anyone has any experience in this, I would appreciate the help!
Make sure those audio plugs are matched with the VGA plug. With your MacBook running something with audio switch between your sources on the TV Component, Composite and such. See if the sound is coming from another source. If so then you've got your audio plugs in the wrong jacks.
Also could you post the make and model number of your TV. -

In my application I am displaying results in a table. The DisplayRow property of table is set to Selected
There are Next and Back buttons which help user to view details associated to the next/previous rows.
I am using ADF 11g
When user clicks Next or Previous button, then the selection of the row should also gets updated
To achieve this i wrote below piece of code:

ISSUE:_
When i run application and click Next/Previous Button, all functionalities do take place properly, but a null pointer exception is also thrown._+
If i remove DisplayRow property of table from Selected to Default, every thing works good and no Exception is thrown_+
But as records in my table are going to be around 50-60 everytime, i need to set DisplayRow property of table to Selected.
Is there any way to achieve this? Solve this problem?

I am using a POJO class to create DataController. This DataController is having a view Object which is used to create results table.
I have defined Primary key for my POJO Data Controller.

Actually in my application there is one result table and a section that is displaying complete details of the product selectd in result table.
The next/previous buttons are not binded with result table.
What I am doing is, I am puuliing data from VO and displaying it on form, whenever any of these buttons is clicked.
As soon as these buttons are clicked data is coming up, but selection state of table is not getting updated.
So to update selection state i wrote piece of code described in my previous post.
Everything works fine if displayRow property of table is not set to selected.
If i set display row property of table to selected, then i get a null pointer exception with message log defined in previous post.
Although NPE is thrown, yet all data is properly fetched and table selection is also updated. But am not able to get how this NPE is coming and hpw to fix it .
(I need to keep displayRow = selected, for all other cases NPE is not thrown)

Hi All,
We have a difficulty in populating a table with result in hand(just a string xmlcontent)obtained from a webservice method invocation. After invoking a websevice call, we obtain the xml result in a string format. Though we searched the entire forum and help section, we failed to find a quick solution.
Is there any event based java script to accomplish this. We are able to populate the string value say, firstname, lastname across the respective text fields. But we want this to be done automatically by mapping the result to empty table, which must grow based upon the no of dynamic records. Hoping to get a solution at the earliest.
Your help would be appreciated!

Help required with ADFS 3.0 client certificate authentication

I am currently working on integrating ADFS 3.o for Single Sign On to some 3rd party services along with PKI solution. The basic requirement is that I should be able to choose client authentication certificate as an authentication method in ADFS and then
federate user credentials to 3rd party trust for single-sign-on.
I had done this successfully with ADFS 2.0 and that setup is working fine. I have the setup as ADFS 3.0 client authentication method enabled. When I open browser to logon, the ADFS 3.0 page displays a message as "Select a certificate that you want to
use for authentication. If you cancel the operation, please close your browser and try again." but the certificates are not displayed for selection.
The certificates are valid and have valid chaining to CA. Could someone help me resolve this issue?

Thanks for your response. I have gone through the posts that you have suggested, and my setup looks pretty much as expected.
So, as I mentioned earlier, I have 2 parallel setups with 3rd party service(SalesForce). Once of them is running ADFS 2.0 and another one has ADFS 3.0. I can logon to the third-party services, from both the setups using username/format. I can logon to SF
using client authentication certificate from ADFS 2.0 setup, but from the same client machine, when I try to logon SF via ADFS 3.0, the browser just does not pick up any certificate. The page just shows message of "Select a certificate that you want to use
for authentication. If you cancel the operation, please close your browser and try again.".
I have checked the browser, and it has the right certificates. Also, the same browser/machine is used to logon to SF through ADFS 2.0 via client certificate, which works just fine !
I am really confused now, as to whose issue this really is...
Just to confirm, I am using Certificate Authentication from ADFS 3.0 Authentication Methods for both Intranet and Extranet.
Any suggestion or inputs where I could have gone wrong in the setup?

Issue with ADF Table bound to a View Object Iterator??
Can anyone say what would prevent an ADF table bound to a View Object Iterator from displaying all the records retrieved by the View Object Query?
I ran the query directly from sqlplus and it returned 21 rows, However when i use the same exact query in my view object and display the result in a ADF table, only 10 rows are retrieved and displayed in the table ?
Help .. Please ???The ADF table is actually set to use 'Include Range Navigation' and to display 20 rows each time. However, only a 10 rows are retrieved and displayed and the other 10 rows are displayed as blanks with only the Table selection radio buttons in the Select Column.
e.g.
Select Data1 Data 2

o xxxxxx xxxxxx
o
o
o
o
The four 'o' are blanks even though there is data to be displayed. -
