HELP!! Setting BubbleEvent=false doesn't stop TAB from being processed

Hi,
I've got a form that, when the data entered in a field is incorrect, opens another form, containing the possible correct values for the field...
My problem is then, that when the user tries to leave the field with incorrect data, the focus shifts before the new form is opened... If I try to set BubbleEvent=false (when BeforeAction = true) and in the same event open the new form, the TAB (or click) is processed anyway... If I comment out the line that opens the new form the TAB is not processed...
Does anyone have a suggestion on how to solve this?
I'm guessing that if I open the new form from another event it would work, but I can't seem to find any that fires...

Problem solved!
Obviously the problem was that the new form I created processed the events eventhough I blocked them in the first form... So the solution was in my case that I made the second form modal (blocked all MenuEvents and all ItemEvents that was not fired by the second form)..
It would problably also have been solved by setting EventFilters, but I'm waiting with those until I'm all done...

I use Comcast in the Chicago area market and have a problem with the "Opt Out" stopping about once a year or so. It appears as being enabled at the Comcast Opt Out page, but the unresolved addresses are still going to the DNS "domain helper" service.
What works for me is to turn off the opt out preference, log off from that Comcast account, and close Firefox. When I restart Firefox, log in to Comcast, and then set the pref to "opt out" again - it works as intended and doesn't cause me a problem until it happens like 10 to 12 months later.
As far as why it seems to affect browsers in a different way, I have no idea. I do have Safari, Opera, and IE 8 installed, in addition to multiple versions of Firefox, but I don't use those other browsers enough to have seen a difference. I am usually opening pages from within Firefox in those other browsers to view the difference, ''or to print something that Firefox screws up in the Print Preview''.

Stopping HD from being accessed

I've had to return my G5 iSight to the dealer for repairs. There is a lot of personal data on one of the partitions on the internal drive and to stop access to that partition, I set up an account for the dealer to use, and as well, I stopped it from being visible on the dealer's desktop by allowing only the Administrator (me) access to the disk.
That worked well. But I thought I'd try to erase the partition from within the dealer's account by using Disk Utility. Sure enough, the partition appeared and Disk Utility seemed to allow me to erase it.
How can I lock a partition so that it is password protected and nothing can be done to it from within a dealer's account?

There's very little you can do to prevent access to that partition as a whole. You can't even rely on your login password, since that can be reset by anyone with a system disk. What I would advise is to keep all sensitive data in an encrypted file of some sort. Encrypted disk images work beautifully for this purpose. I have one that contains all my passwords, account numbers, financial information, etc. The password is long and is not remembered in any keychain.
If the disk image option doesn't work for you, there are all kinds of commercial and non-commercial encryption options. Just search somewhere like MacUpdate or VersionTracker.

Can I stop email from being sent?

I have a number of email accounts configured in outlook 2010.
I want to prevent email from being sent via one of the accounts.
CAN I do this?
If so How?
I have tried to change the SMTP address to be invalid.
It does not send, and does not give me an error.
When I close outlook it tells me emails have not been sent. I have no idea where these emails r.
When I restart it, it resets the smtp address and sends the email.

The problem I am trying to work around is ppl using outlook try to send/reply/fwd emails using those old addresses. Outlook must be configured to rcv mail from clients using those addresses. So if the old email address is set as FROM I want to stop it from
being sent.
if i set the smtp address to an invalid the test never completes and I can never get to the end of that wizard.
If I go back and look at it it is still the invalid address after I cancel the wizard.
If i try to send mail it appears to do it after a long pause and i can't find the email anyplace -but it is not sent.
If i shut down and restart outlook it is back to the valid address and the mail gets sent.
I have it set only rcv, not send, that address in the group but that doesn't work.

You need to find aproper EXIT.
The avaliable options for you in the exit is
IDOC_DATA
Now if i pick the segment having shiped qty from the data record and check the same with the delivery qty your objective is half done.
When the condition fails you need to update the IDOC with Error 51 saying that this is not possible .
for that you need to bring your logic as
LOOP AT IDOC_CONTROL.

How to stop files from being locked in Mountain Lion?

In the last week, I have found several of the files that I have generated or downloaded have become locked. Since Apple has eliminated the Auto locking feature that use to be in Time Machine. The files include PDFs, PHGs, TXTs, etc. How do I stop files from being locked? How do I unlock the ones that are locked? I can not emtpy my Trash.

When I went to "Get Info" on one of the locked files [a TXT file] per your steps, I noticed that the there was a Locked box checked. I unchecked that box and was then able to remove the files from Trash without any further action.
Do you know why it got locked in the first place since Mountain Lion does not automatically lock files as the older OS X version did? Do you know how to prevent it from happening again?

Yes. But, I see from the THOUSANDS of responses here concerning Firefox memory issues that other people have had no more success than I have at trying to STOP Firefox's memory gluttony. The fact that Firefox runs fine (like the good old days) for a while after re-booting and registry cleaning shows that something is going on beyond the trivial/ineffective suggestions offered in the referenced links.
Having to re-boot several times a day to get Firefox out of the molasses is such a pain, that it's no wonder people are going back to IE, or like me, reluctantly relying more and more on Google Chrome.

HELP - setting page margins doesn`t work correctly

maybe someone encountered the same Problems I am facing.
I am setting the page margins for the Left-Side to have enough space to punch the printout.
Somehow CR seems to ignore the values I set when printing a Report.
Most of the times I have too much space on the right side and not on the left side.
The margin on the Left side seems to be the min-margin of the printer.
What`s wrong with the Reports?
CR 2008 with SP1 is used.
The Reports are not designed against a specific Printer.
The virtual Printerdriver of CR is used.

I try to get to the DissociatePageSizeAndPrinterPaperSize but I can't figure out how to access it.
I use CR 2008 with Visual Studio 2005, Visual Basic. My goal is to get an unrestricted right hand side
of my report, so I can have as many columns as I want. (I have a different thread about this).
First of all: If I search DissociatePageSizeAndPrinterPaperSize in the Object Browser, it can't find it.

This prints a wider page on-screen than without the code, so it is an improvement. Still, I would like to go
further, and the DissociatePageSizeAndPrinterPaperSize seems to be promising.
Can you tell me how to set it in the context above?
A little observation: When my newMargins.Right gets the value 145, the output is a narrow page.
When it is set to 146, it jumps to a wider page.
Setting the PageContentWidth doesn't help any more than the Right option.

Our outgoing/incoming checks have a due date which have to be exchanged later, ex: 30 days later.
In SBO, the payment goes into bank account immediately which we need to change.
Test Cases :
Case 1 : After the ok button on the Outgoing payments Form, there will be a Credit bank deposit which we want it later.
We want it to be changed to Notes Payable. And to have the bank deposit after the due date.
Question : We might change the G/L Acc right after the ok button. It seems that we cant change the journal after it inserted.
Case 2: We set the OK Buttons bubbleEvent = False, and do everything by our self

(1)     How do we get the data on the matrix of the Payment Means Form while it didnt save to VMP1 yet?
Is it in other temp table?
(2)     How do we get the multi-selection on the matrix of the Outgoing payments form?

First you have to be sure if this case can not be handled by the standard functionality. In the Definition of Banking under "Define Payments" you can define the payment terms, and there you can always set the date to 30 days after.
Case1.
Refer to this thread how to get the data before it's saved. accessing batch numbers
Case2.
You can always access a Form, then the Matrix Object and then the datasources of the matrix. This is exactly the purpose of datasources, to handle the data that is in the GUI before it's saved to the DB.

How to stop tabs from a broken PC from syncing

I set up sync on my previous laptop and synced with two other PCs some time ago.
A couple of months ago I damaged that laptop and it no longer works. However, the tabs open on that laptop when it broke are still appearing in "Tabs from other devices" on my new laptop and the two other PCs.
How can I stop this from happening?
I know that when going to Options > Sync box it is possible to replace the sync'ed items with the items on the current laptop rather than merge, but I am wary of doing this for all sync'ed info and and can find no advice as to whether I can do this for just the tab info, so as to erase the tabs from the dead laptop.
There is no security issue as I still have the hard drive from the old laptop.
So in summary, how do I get rid of the Tabs from my dead PC without the palaver of having to start over?

I have the latest version of Firefox (26.0) on my new laptop and my PC (as indicated in the system details above). Uninstalling will not help.
I can do nothing about the version on my dead laptop, but that is irrelevant.
Sync data is not stored in the registry, and in any event I use CCleaner regularly.

How can I stop tabs from "constantly" "reloading" themselves?

Starting with the Firefox 4 update, tabs appear to keep repeatedly "reloading" themselves somewhat, bogging down my computer quickly when several tabs are open. How can I disable the tabs from "constantly" (or very frequently) "reloading" themselves? I much prefer using the refresh option when I want them reloaded or updated.
Problem History and Effects:
Before Firefox 4, I could have many tabs (like 30 or 50) open without a problem. With Firefox 4 (and Firefox 5 to, what so far appears to be, a slightly lesser degree), my computer begins slowing down significantly for each tab after about 5 (or when Firefox and "plugin-container.exe" max out my CPU usage), and takes over 10 or 40 seconds to load a page after about 10 or 15 tabs, instead of only 1 second. When I have a large number of tabs open now, at any given moment, most of them say "Connecting..." in the tab title (the same as they say, for at least a moment, when the page/tab is first opened).
Clarification of "Reloading":
I keep referring to the tabs as repeatedly reloading, but I don't really know what they're doing; they just seem like that's what their doing, since they frequently change their page title (or name of the tab) to "Connecting..." and they seem to put a load on my computer that, as far as I can tell, is like the page is loading anew, or has been refreshed. I haven't actually noticed any changes in the pages when they do this thing that seems like some sort of reloading to me, so it obviously, and thankfully, isn't doing the same thing pressing F5 does. Random things like advertisements, or the friends being featured on someone's Facebook page, would change when pressing F5, but they don't with this problem I'm describing.
Closing:
In general, I'm very pleased with Firefox, but this feature has been hampering me greatly. I searched for ways to disable it, but didn't find any. It might help if I knew what it's called, and exactly what it's doing.

Even though I have FF set to "Show my windows and tabs from last time" every time I open FF it just opens the home page. Why won't it open my previous session like it use to, even if I have that selected as the default state?

Nothing more to provide. Simple problem not opening previous session tabs when browser is opened after being closed. Was working fine until the upgrade to 7.0.1.

Make sure that you do not use "Clear Recent History" to clear the "Browsing History" when Firefox is closed because that prevails and prevents Firefox from opening tabs from the previous session.
