Try a reboot: Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time for about 10 seconds (ignore the red slider) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad wil restart.

How do I undo whatever went wrong after installing the latest update to Photoshop 2014 and suddenly when I tried to paint or touch up my illustration (book cover I'd drawn and painted, then scanned in and continued painting, changing. It's mostly done but I needed to send it like yesterday!!) OR touch up a photograph, black-like oily smudge-like substance sprayed around the point of the brush. I tried to fix by resetting but really didn't know what to do and probably made it worse. However, the problem happened after I updated the Photoshop Creative Cloud 2014 on my desktop 8.1 Windows and after a Tech helped update the regular CC Photoshop on my laptop 2007, 64 bit Windows to 2014. He promised to call back after giving it time to install but didn't for whatever reason on Friday. That happened to go up to the same update I did on my Windows 8.1 Windows. I have this deadline and really stressed. COULD IT BE THE UPDATE OR BOTH. REGARDLESS, CAN SOME EXPERT HELP ME UNDO WHATEVER THE UPDATE AND/OR I DID? I'm a God-gifted artist but only started using Photoshop CC, then updated to 2014--which, again, I like even better--when I began my monthly membership January or February 2014, although I had paid version 2002 and updated to paid version 2004 (ownership, not paid subscription like now). I've learned so much, including transforming, moving, stretching, with layers--all in the painting area with my illustrations--a little touch ups with photography. MY EMAIL IS: [email protected] I really appreciate any help. This needs to be resolved today, the latest tomorrow--I could call tomorrow, however. I was chatting with a Tech support but lost him about an hour or less back. I have the case number and name and gave him my contact number, but they won't be in until tomorrow. also, i should mention that the home button on this phone is BROKEN permanently. hasn't worked in months. i've been using the floating on-screen home button, but since the screen is unresponsive that does me no good at the moment. also, although itunes recognizes the phone i cannot restore it because it says i need to change my icloud settings on the phone first before i can. but again, i cannot access any features of the phone whatsoever. i just need to turn it off and turn it back on again. but like i said, with a broken home button that appears to be impossible. when i hold down the lock/power button for 10 seconds to attempt a restart it does nothing. i really have no idea what to do. HELP!

Hi, tried the Apple fix, installing the OSX combo update followed by the Safari update followed by the security update, nothing.
Tried the thing where you toss the mail program in the trash and then install the security update, nothing.
Is there anyone else who has a problem even after all trhe fixes suggested here and in Apple support?

Do you have any restrictions for purchasing apps on the phone? Settings > General > Restrictions. If you have a Mac computer or another Apple device can you purchase things in the App Store using the same Apple ID on something else?

Unfortunately, I am still unable to open my core productivity apps, namely Skype and Evernote. Twitter, as well, could not start. But interesting quick fix though, I never knew you could do that.

Something went wrong with sync. between pc and Ipad now part of the information is gone on the Ipad. How do I take the backup of the pc and put it back on the Ipad.

I'm a first timer on this (or any) help site. I just installed Time Capsule. The first backup looks like it will take two days at the present speed. Can I close MacBook Pro and have first back up continue, and can I unplug tomorrow and plug in at work without affecting the backup?

Time Machine backups can be paused by choosing "Stop Backing Up" from the Time Machine icon on the right hand side of your menu bar ( ). Once you're ready to resume the backup, you can choose "Back Up Now" from the same icon.
Start a backup: Click the Time Machine icon in the menu bar, then choose Back Up Now.
Pause a backup: Click the Time Machine icon in the menu bar, then choose Stop Backing Up.

On the bottom right of my MacBook Pro there is a solid line about 3/4" long (looks like it could be a download status gauge). Any idea what that is?
Unfortunately you screen shot is not showing. There is a bug in the forum software that sometime will prohibit images from appearing. This may be one of those occasions.
Browsers such as Safari and Firefox do have small windows that will show downloads which will permit you to monitor the progress. Without actually seeing what you are referring to, I cannot give you a definitive answer.

8.2 update - unable to upload photos from Camera app
I downloaded the 8.2 update, and now I can't seem to upload photos from the Camera app to Facebook when I check-in. It only brings up my videos from the Camera app, not the photos. Does anyone know how to fix this?
