Help starting web services

Hi, I am new to web services and after reading a lot of literature on the subject I am completely lost. I am running Axis2 1.3 and I have just got my WSDL2Java to work. I am using Eclipse and now also have the wsdl plugin working.
However the problems I have is that after I create the stub I have many errors, all of which are from missing imports...org.apache.axis2.... I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for sorting this out. I cant find these files anywhere on my system.
I may have made a mess up ofinstalling Axis but I think its correct. I would really appreciate some basic help/tutorials on accessing a service from the internet suhc as aweather forecast (http://www.webservicex.net/WCF/ServiceDetails.aspx?SID=50) to get me started as i have been trying now for 3 weeks with no luck. I have tried to follow tutorials and code examples but I still have many probelms.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,
Im not great with Eclipse and the errors are all to do with org.apache... such as this one: extends org.apache.axis2.client.Stub. It says tehse canot be resolved to a type. I have tried to import the libraries but I cannot find the ones required. It appears all my WSDL2Java createions require this package but I cannot find it anywehre.
Do you know what these are and which ones i need to import?
Sorry its a bit vague, i think/hope im missing some libraries, i just cant locate them on my machine or the web and I am stuck until i get around this problem.

No eprint icon on my printer /unable to start web services

I have a HP officejet 65001 plus special edition. windows 7 64 bit. I do not have a eprint icon on my printer nor am I able to start web services. Message unable to complete update. I apologize for the inconvenience of this error message, I just have a couple of questions to confirm some information.
How did you update the firmware?
Can you confirm the printer firmware is this version?: CIP1FN1126AR
( You can find this information by printing a printer status report, under Setup(Tool icon)>Reports>Printer Status Report
If that is the current firmware version they you can try to power down both the printer and the router. Then power on the router, let it come fully online, then power on the printer. Once all devices are fully powered on try activating web services again.
Please let me know the result.

Can't start web services in OSX Server 10.3

I used the GUI to turn on webDAV on one of my domains and now I can't even start web services.
For some reason, all of my domains now have multiple alias mappings, redirects, alias matches and redirect matches.
I have tried to delete the additional mappings from my domains, but everytime I hit save, they rewrite themselves. I deleted the domain in which I activated webDAV and recreated it and the mappings still rewrite themselves.
Any suggestions as to how to stop the automatic writing of the mappings and get my web services up and running again?

! How to start Web Services in Java?

Hi,
I am just wondering if someone knows how I can start Web Services with Java?

The best place to start is at the beginning of the tutorial. If you've downloaded and installed the jwsdp pack, then download the tutorial and read from the start.
When you come to more specific problems then post again.

Having problems starting Web Services... need help!

I'm running Mac Server 10.5.7 currently configured for email and I've just decided to start hosting websites. The problem I'm having is that Web Services will fail to start with any sites configured. Web Services will start if I don't have any sites configured. I've messed around with the Terminal app using some advice from online posts, but that didn't help. I'm not even sure I did it right.

So, I've read through all the documents and tried to apply what I've learned. I must say, I dove in head first. There's a lot to digest here. Maybe I'm reading too much.
I ran the Terminal and 'sudo' command you requested. This is the result.
"Syntax Ok."
Since posting this question I've installed mySQL, but I'm not exactly sure what it does.
I've tried changing to the httpd.conf file, but nothing is working. All I get when I type in "localhost" is cannot "connect to web server". At least before I was getting the "apple default page".
Need some advice on how to get this all straightened out. Looks like I made a pretty good mess of things.

We need to invoke a web service after a user task's response, that is to say, the web service needs some data from the response of the user task.
Take the loan flow tuturial as a example, what we need to do is to invoke a web service after the BPEL process get the start loan APR. the web service needs the APR for its input message. how can I handle this situation?

I have created the Data Control from web Service proxy and I am able to recieve the output from the web Service.
But, Currently I am invoking the webservice process method by a command button which populates my SelectOneChoice.
My requirement is to invoke the web service 'process' method by value change event in the SelectOnechoice control.
So, Can you pls. let me know how do I bind the web Service method 'process' to value change event of SelectOnechoice control?

Help with Web Services

hi,
am trying to call a web service from a particular WSDL, i need to use JAX-WS 2.0 as part of this assignment am currently working on, but i just cannot put my head around it and where to start,,
would i need to just write a client that would call a specific method and pass the parameteres through it ?
would i need to use annotations ? as i was reading, you only use them if you expose the web service. All i was supplied with is a WSDL, and i need to design an interface using JFrame and call a specific service of my choice and receieve a response back.. and display it back.
Any helpful tips, suggestions, sample code ??

You can easily work with WSDL2Java class in axis.jar found from apache site
java -cp axis.jar:commons-logging.jar:commons-discovery.jar:wsdl4j.jar:jaxrpc.jar:saaj.jar org.apache.axis.wsdl.WSDL2Java -va "wsdl file"
This will create a stub files for the webservice, then you work with that.

It was something to do with DNS settings.
I had to revert to an older DNS settings of 'data.xxxxxxxx.com' as after reboot for a new DNS of 'server.aaaaaaaa.inhouse' www kept asking for 'data.xxxxxxxx.com' in the error log file.
Seems that OS X Server's DNS settings do not like being changed through the Server Admin application. Though isn't that why we have a Server Admin app and nice OS X front ends?!

Assembler Service API Quick Starts Web service API, Response is not well-formed XML

I am trying to get the "Assembler Service API Quick Start" webservice api example to work in a asp.net application.
The following line produces the exception below.

(the code is exactly as it is in the example, except for adding "?blob=base64" to the url of the AssemblerServiceService obeject, and I have the 3 files in the root of my c drive)

after looking at the example more closely I discovered that there is a key name called "optionsLink.pdf" that doesn't match the source in the DDX file.

Hi,
There are 2 ways how you could call up the WebService Tool. The first one is already described before, this is directly from the component workbench (see comment before) in the test mode.
The second one is to integrate it into any role directly and start it directly from that role. Therefore you have to do the following:
1. Go to the IMG - Customizing in SAP Gui (transaction SPRO)
2. there in Customer Relationship Managment-> UI Framework-> Technical role definition enter "define navigation bar profile"
3. There you will find an logical link (which is the basis for you beeing able to navigate to the WebService tool) named "WEB-SER".
4. You have to assign this link in the next folder to a Work Center Link Group under "assigned links"
5. Then you go to the next folder "Define Work Center" and there you assign your "work center link group" to a work center
Now you have done the basics and now you have to decide in which Role you want to have it displayed. Therefore you go to "Define Profile" further down in the same Tree
1. Select the role where you want to assign the Work Center to
2. Go to assign WorkCenters and add it there
3. Decide on the position number where the work center should appear in your role.
If you have done this you should and you have not done it so far, go to "Business role" (you could do this in IMG or in the WebUI). As you are already in IMG lets assume you stay there:
1. Go to "Define Business Role"
2. Check at the details of the business role that your Navigation bar Profile used in "Define Profile" above is assigned to your business role
3. Go to "Adjust Work Center" and make sure your work center is there and is not set to "invisible".
4. In "Ajust Work Center Link Groups" decide if the your new entrie should be displayed in the 2nd Level Menue of your role via flagging "in menu" or if it just should be reachable via the work center (not flagging in menue) but have it visible.
Via this the new entry should appear in the Work Center (when the user is pressing on the left side just the button of your Work Center or also in the second level menue when he uses the little arrow on the Menue itself.

While creating value help, it is only showing 'single selection' option. It does not showing any other options. Here I want to get multiple values from value help. How can I acheive this?.

Help? Web service crashes whenever I check "enable SSL"

Whenever I try to enable SSL for one of my virtual domains, Server admin reports
"A service has encountered an error"
and disables web service for that virtual domain.
Everything was working fine (ftp, webdav, websites, mail).
So my final step was to try to enable secure webdav via https.
So I
* bought a certificate (godaddy $30) for my domain EXAMPLE.COM (no www, since everything is hosted on one box, for email, webdav, ftp we just use "example.com"
* manually pasted my key into /etc/httpd/ssl.key/server.keyx
* manually pasted my cert into /etc/httpd/ssl.crt/server.crtx
* manually pasted the CA cert into /etc/httpd/ssl.crt/ca.crtx
* entered my pass phrase I used when I made the key
* used the log file default /var/log/httpd/sslenginelog
(when crashed the first time I thought the file not being there could be the problem, so I copied another file, and ensured the permissions were the same: owner root, group admin)
all that was fine. checked the enable SSL box, and clicked Save and that's when it reports the error and disables the virtual domain.
My server is 10.3.9.
The first time I used 10.4 admin. When it crashed the service I did a restart on the server, then on the server used the 10.3 admin. Same deal. (Only difference is on 10.4 admin it set my port to 443; on 10.3 it didn't)

I did get it working. But my recollection of what I did to get it working is fuzzy. I think what I noticed is that whatever I put into the various SSL key fields was not getting saved, so I tracked down the appropriate locations and edited them manually. Sorry I don't recall the specifics.
Another thing I do remember is that I was unable to CHANGE an existing "site" setting from port 80 to 443 -- I had to delete the entry, then re-create it from scratch with the SSL settings and PORT #.
