Please help me.
After i downloaded and installed the j2sdk1.4.0, i wrote a program and tried to compile it.
Since this is the first time i tried to run a program out of school, i have no idea what's wrong. in school we use unix, i have windows xp at home.
so i'm at the command prompt
c:\java>javac P5.java
(return)
the computer decided not to let me go through
'javac' is not recognized as an internal or external command operable program or batch file.
(said the computer)
i have no idea what this means, sorry if i come off as very stupid or ignorant. But please, please, some one help!

This message means that the javac.exe file cannot be found. You could get round this by navigating to the jdk /bin directory and then run the command, but the best way is to add the /bin directory to your PATH environment variable.
To do that, go to the Windows XP Control Panel and click on System. Click on the "Advanced" tab and then on "Environment Variables". If there is a PATH variable already defined, then add your jdk bin directory to it (e.g. c:\jdk1.4\bin). If there is no PATH, add it.
This should enable you to run javac and java from any directory. To anticipate your next problem, you also need to set a CLASSPATH environment variable so that the JVM can locate your compiled java classes. There are lots of previous posts on this subject or you can post again.

When you say field, do you mean specifically a form field, such as a text field? Or is the information regular text on the page?

I have an imac that has the panther upgrade disk. I need to reinstall the os, but cant because os 10.2 was preloaded on the computer. All I have is the upgrade disk, which wont do!! What do I do?!!
Why do you need to re-install? Try to fix the problem.
I would assume a 10.2 full install would be fairly cheap on ebay.

Help: The Nuke of All Nukes - 9800
I've been browsing all over the internet for days looking for all possible options so i can fix this problem and get my blackberry torch 9800 to work again. That doesn't seem to be helping. So here's the main issue, when i put the battery pack in my phone it loads to about 70% then restarts. I tried reloading with "Loader.exe" however that doesn't work and i get this error, funny thing is it restarts when it says connecting to the device (ARM):
The next thing i tried is wiping it with JL_cmder that works neither as it doesn't seem as it its being detected.
When i connect it to device manager i see it saying device unknown:

HELP The sound gets all weird when i use effects
ok, this may be super simple but i just can't figure it out!
i import movies and they sound great, but *whenever i have to adjust contrast or add subtitles* they sound gets all weird and you just can't understand a thing!!

There are many who has problems with audio and mainly transitions in iMovie HD 6.
Origin: Unknown to me
Work around:
• Select video clips
• Advance menu -> Extract audio
• Now apply transitions or other effects
A Working solution
IF NOT:
Not knowing the origin to Your problem - General approach when in trouble is as follows:
• Free space on internal (start-up) hard disk if it is less than 10Gb should rather have 25Gb
• Hard disk is untidy: Repair Permissions, Repair Hard disk (Apple Disc Util tool)
• Delete iMovie pref file - or rather start a new user/account - log into this and re-try
• Third party plug-ins that doesn't work OK (not relevant for iMovie’08)
• Program miss-match: iMovie 5.0.2, up to Mac OS X.4.11 AND QuickTime 7.4.1 - is OK
• Program miss-match: iMovie 6.0.3 or 6.0.4, Mac OS X.4.11 AND QuickTime 7.4.1 - is OK (might work under Leopard)
• Program miss-match: iMovie’08 v. 7.0.1, Mac OS X.4.11 AND QuickTime 7.4.1 - is OK (might work under Leopard)
iMovie pref file resides: Mac Hard Disk (start-up HD)/Users/"Your account"/Library/Preferences
and is named: com.apple.iMovie.plist
While iMovie is NOT RUNNING - move this file out to desk-top.
Now restart iMovie.

When i have saved genius playlists or compile my own on my ipod touch they do not save when i then connect to my pc.
Ocasionally a message saying cannot sync data services pops up.but i always lose the playlists.
The only way i can save playlists is to edit them when i am connected to the pc. HELP ?If you get an error that says can't backup, try moving the existing backup file to a safe location and thry again. again. You can find the location of the backup file here:

ive recenty update itunes to the latest version and i connected my ipod with itunes , then my apps were all gone and i dont want to buy my games again , so that just means ive lost some money and itunes seems to be crashing all the time i try to download back my apps. what do i do?

Tried to upgrading ipad 1 from itunes and l guess it did not complete the process because all I have showing on the ipad is the itunes logo with the usb cable. When l try to connect it to my system, it resquest that a driver be used to install the device. Please help! How do I restore?
Restoration is relatively simplistic. Here's whatcha do. Plug your ipad in, open itunes, now if itunes doesn't recognize it then you may have a problem, anywho, click on the ipad in the devices interface and go to the info tab, click restore, and it'll be just like it was when it left the factory. To get you data back, it should ask if you would like to use a backup, just select the backup you want and you'll be good to go. That is if you regularly backed up your iPad.

After Import in LR 4.2 all images have development modifications
When I import images no matter if RAW or JPG, when I go to the development module all images have various modifications on all slidedrs from exposure to saturation. I haven't changed any settings or global settings but each slider will already be modified. Previously when importing images all sliders were set to ZERO, but now all of those sliders are anywhere from - to + modification. Can someone please help?
LR 4.2, Windows 7 64-bit, 24GB ram, Catalog has been optimized, Develop Settings and Metadata setting are set to none on import.

CurtisFirst thing to check is the Presets Tab of the Lightroom Preferences to make sure that "Apply auto tone adjustments" is NOT checked. If it's checked, uncheck it and try importing again.
If that setting is NOT checked, then perhaps you've inadvertently changed the default develop settings.....to check this take one of the adjusted images into the Develop module, then press and hold the Shift key. The Reset button at bottom right of the screen will change to "Reset (Adobe)"....click on it and see if the sliders revert to zero. If they do, you need to reset the default develop settings....Menu Bar>Develop>Set Default Settings, then click on "Restore Adobe Default Settings". -

I've created a photo gallery in Flash CS3 that contains 2 UI
Loaders (one for a graphic title for the image, and one for the
image itself) and have tested it and it works fine. I even
published the file as an independent html file and it seems to work
fine when tested in the browser too. My problem is that when I
place the .swf into my html page in dreamweaver and test it, the
file shows up, but the loader info doesn't work. The images don't
load.

Please steer me in the right direction...Another option is to talk to the PLC using Modbus. Several versions of Modbus drivers are available online--or I could send you the ones I use.
The big thing to look at is exactly what you want to do in the end. If you are going to be able to use all the features of the DSC, by all means go for it. It will save you a lot of time.
If however, all you want is a remote front panel for the PLC, the DSC might be overkill. Only you can say.
Look at your entire application and where you can see your work going in the reasonable future.

IF you do find a backup that has your contacts; I'd /highly/ recommand turning off your wifi network after the restore is finished because if the issue is with your iCloud your contacts may merge back with her's.
With iCloud you DO NOT want to share the account; bad things happen Evil evil thigns...
But in all seriousness; if two devices have the same iCloud; iCloud is told to merge and sync infomation between hte two and can't tell that it doesn't belong to the same person
