Help to refresh content

Does anyone know how we can overcome the browser cache
function with swf files . We have build a complete flash site which
is updated regularly - once a week but whenever these updates are
posted the client cannot see the changes as their machine is
caching the old swf's.
Is there action script code that can force the browser to get
the new revised file each time it is called to the client machine?
Any assistance is appreciated.

There's a lot of stuff there. Open a support case if you
can't get it to work after that.

  • CF Builder 2 --Zzz Refresh Content (Sleeping) ... frustrating

    What is this "Zzz Refresh Content (Sleeping) in the progress of CF Builder 2? Any time this comes up, it freezes CF Builder.
    This is thing in CF Builder 2 is becoming so frustrating. You can hardly save codes without this thing hanging.

    I get this exact same issue and it's incredibly frustrating, to the point that I may have to switch IDE's.
    To check, Umuayo are you editing files over a network?
    This is how I work - projects held on my local Windows Server 2003 development server (for working on multiple work stations and on the same platform as deployment).
    I suspect that CFBuilder has issues with network editing as I've noticed problems with this since version 1.
    Is there any fix to this? I've turned off just about every option that has been shown to improve performance from various guides.
    Would be really good to resolve this as I don't really want to switch to a different IDE.
    I'm running the latest 2.0.1 with the Java 7 jvm.dll (though had the same issue with the stock JVM and Java 6).

  • Hyperlinked JSP Page does not refresh contents

    I have a very typical problem.
    In my application whenever I call a jsp page using hyperlink without any querystring attached to it the page called does not refresh. However when I press refresh on the browser it does refresh the contents. Basically in this page I am using some session variables to fetch data. So I do not call the page by passing querystring instead set the attributes of session variables and then the page is called as a hyperlink.
    However if I call the same page using submit the values are refreshed.
    Help on this urgently will be appreciated.

    Just set 'no-cache' option for the jsp page and test it. It should work. only you need to do is

  • Steps to refresh content DB

    Hey SharePoint Fam,
    Trying to figure out easiest way to refresh main content DB every 5 months.  Have QA & Staging environment that I'd like to refresh prod content db quarterly but not sure of correct process/steps to take in sql studio.  Do i need to detach/dismount
    source DB before i do anything else first?
    Below are my steps but I think I am doing something wrong due to DB's needing to be seperated from farm 
    My Steps:
    1) Copy previous day backup Prod SQL ContentDB to targeted SQL machine
    2) Detach DB from both sites
    3) Then do restore using SQL Server Management Restore Option From Device and point to file that was copied over from prod
    4) Double check the file and log locations under restore the database files and then click ok
    5) Once it completes run the Dismount-SPContentDatabse "DBNameHere"
    6) then run Mount-SPContenetDatabase "DBNameHere" -DatabaseServer "DBServerHere" -WebApplication http://sitename

  • Help for Refresh report data!

    First, the CR report XML datasource without any issues.
    But, Crystal Report Viewer  pop up a warning dialog window when user click "refresh" buttion on the toolbar of Crystal Reports Viewer.(The user PC didn't install Crystall Reports 2008)
    Warning content as below:
    Failed to load database information.
    Details: The Databse connector "crda_xml.dll" could not be loaded, The correct version of the database client for this database type might not be installed.
    I'm not even sure if I'm asking question correctly.
    Anyone have any information about this question?

    Thank you for your help.
    To clarify what I am doing.
    I have created a report using "XML and Web Services" by specifying the xsd and xml file. To run the report using different xml data sources, at runtime the app I have created changes the LogonProperties to specify the new required "Local XML File" and the "HTTP(S) Schema URL".
    *Crystal Report 2008 runtime is missing crdb_xml.dll *
    This DLL seems to be missing from the runtime MSI and the merge module?
    Without this I am unable to utilise reports that have "XML and Web Services" connection type and refresh button  on toolbar of Crystal Reports Viewer .
    Any advice on how to achieve the same thing with "ADO.NET (XML)" would be much appreciated in VC IDE.

  • Can not refresh contents of finder windows

    I can not get my finder windows to refresh their contents. My picture folder is the one that really bothers me. When I am trying to upload pictures to the internet, the picture folder is never accurate. I have tried the refresh finder apple script, restarting the computer, opening and closing the window, nothing seems to work.
    The content is there, when I search for a specific picture file it is there, but it is not located in the right subfolder. I download and manage my pictures on kodak easyshare.

    Hmmm, are you saying something is moving them? Or the Finder isn't opening them to the right folder?

    Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), & use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions, reboot once more.
    Then Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions...
    Move this file to the desktop...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist
    reboot when it completes.

  • Help with JTable - content of cell disappears when selected

    Hello,
    I have a jTable and I have created a custom cell renderer. It does what it's supposed to do (which is set the background color of all cells with null or "" value to red - as an indication to the user that b4 proceeding he/she has to fill in this cells). The problem is that when I select a red cell, it becomes white and the text value it contains disappears. When I double click I can start typing in a new value.
    I would appreciate any hint why this happens? Ideally I would like the cell to keep its color when clicked or double-clicked and its value, and only when i'm done editing its content and it's not null or empty string to become white.
    I'm including majority of my code (some automatically generated code from Netbeans is not included).

    Ideally I would like the cell to keep its color when clicked or double-clicked Not sure why is changes color when you click on the cell.
    But when you double click the editor is invoked, which is a JTextField and its background is white by default.
    The code you posted doesn't help because its not executable.
    If you need further help then you need to create a [Short, Self Contained, Compilable and Executable, Example Program (SSCCE)|http://homepage1.nifty.com/algafield/sscce.html], that demonstrates the incorrect behaviour.
    And don't post NetBeans generated code, because we don't use IDE to write GUI code.
    Also, why did you create a custom TableModel. The DefaultTableModel will store your data for you.

  • Need help with refreshing open window in new tab

    Hello all,
    First, all my other problems I've solved.  One last thing, being a newbie and trying things I've found on the net and them
    not working, I can use your help one last time.  My code has a Home page that peforms a Search (most of you have
    I am sure done this), and from that search submit a window opens in a new tab (browser tab) and has the results on
    it.
    That works fine.  What I'm having trouble with is being able to perform a new search and refreshing that open window
    with the new data.  Right now I am closing that window by clicking on the tab and then performing the search.
    While it works, it's not user friendly.
    So, I've tried the usual  mywindow=window.open("url.cfm"); and then trying to grab that handle to refresh, but to
    no avail.  Has anyone done this?

    not exactly so...
    implementing Pageable means imlpementing methods that return the number of pages, PageFormat object, and Printable object for each page... look in the API for this interface. It's actually quite a lot of work to do, as you have to divide your panel programmatically on "good" - suitable for your purposes rectangles of the page size, then cretae printale object for each ... but that can be done.
    I'm not that familiar with java printing, perhaps there is a much easier way to do it. Anyway, when I had to print one component on several pages, that's what I did - so it works.

  • Help needed using content and structure functionality

    Several times now I have had users who wanted to move libraries or lists, etc. from one place within a site collection to another.
    The problem is that often, when they go into content and structure, select their source, the only action that appears is Delete, rather than also the copy or move functionality.
    Even when I connect to the farm with the farm account, I see the same issue - the copy and move actions are greyed out. The farm account is one of the site collection owners, as well as of course in the farm admin group.
    Are there certain types of things which cannot be copied or moved? One user is just trying to move a folder of files from a document library to a different location (from working to completed), while another user wants to move most of the files from an old
    project to a new project.
    I am having a tough time understanding why sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't.

    Thank you for your answer. The user did try to use the windows explorer method, and got an error saying that the operation could not find the source.
    I appreciate the note about moving the files individually. I have suggested that.
    I also appreciate the caution about using move not copy if the versions are needed.
    In one case we have a user who is trying to consolidate 2 different sharepoint sites into 1 site.
    She has asked about moving one into the other.
    I presume that any moving that takes place will overwrite an object of the same name that exists on the other side? Or is there a prompt to the user before the overwrite takes place?

  • Refreshing contents of ALV grid

    I am displaying 2 ALV grids in a splitter container on screen 100. There is an option for refresh on this screen to refresh the entries in both the grids (if any change). This refresh works fine using method REFRESH_TABLE_DISPLAY for both top and bottom grid contents.
    After processing the contents in screen 100, the user can navigate to screen 200 to view results of the current run. This screen also holds an ALV grid display of results on a custom container. When returning to screen 100 from 200, the results in top grid of screen 100 are fixed. The refresh option now only works with the grid on bottom container and not the top. I have tried using both REFRESH_TABLE_DISPLAY and SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY options and neither worked.
    How do I refresh the ALV to use the contents from the new dataset?

  • Need help scrolling dynamic content from XML

    I am trying to make a photo gallery and I have succeed in
    importing the pictures from XML into Flash. There are still two
    problems:
    1. The content is loading into a movieclip and I tried to
    place a scroll pane on the stage to adding scrolling capabilities.
    I set the parameters to control the movieclip that holds the
    thumbnails but it is not making a scroll bar. I can see the
    pictures inside of the scroll pane but it will not scroll to show
    the rest of the pictures.
    2. I can not figure out how to space the thumbnails evenly. I
    made a variable and multiplied the x position of each picture by it
    but there are large differences between landscape and portrait
    pictures.

    You need to switch from using loadMovie to using the
    MovieClipLoader object. This object has a listener called
    "onLoadInit" that allows you to get the size of your photo when it
    comes in, but before it appears on stage, so that you can adjust
    its placement. Check out the help docs for info on usage.

  • Help with Spry Content Slideshow

    Hi,  I like the new widget browser and how easy it makes adding widgets in dreamweaver, Top marks to the developers.
    I have been having a play around with the spry content slideshow, with the possibility of using it on a small business website I am working on.  I have managed to alter the width and height of the widget and everything looks and works great.  I was however wondering how I would go about adding say a 250w x 80h logo above the banner on each slide, which would also require that the banner and story be lowered slightly.

    I was just playing with Spry Content Slideshow earlier, and conveniently still have it open, so I'll give this one a shot, too. It looks like you've got two options embed a "logo bar" of some sort inside the the Slideshow, or (the easier method) wrap the Slideshow in another container. I just used a single banner image.
    I gave embedding a try and placed a <div class="logo"><img/></div> before the first article, but the JavaScript overrode this, and added a new article. Moving this construct inside the first article created a fairly nice banner, keeping the rounded corners at the top. The construct, however, will need to be added to each article. I didn't like that too much, but it's just a personal preference.
    The easy way (?) would be a wrapper, such as <div class="logo"><img /><div id="theSlideshow">...</div></div>, then style the ".logo" class as needed, maybe even copying portions of the style from ".WLBSlideShow" in "wanderlust-brown.css" for the rounded corners, and maybe giving ".logo" additional "padding-bottom" and ".WLBSlideShow" a negative "margin-top", to overlap the bottom of the logo area. Localized CSS modifications (placed after the linked CSS) might be something like the following?
