Help uninstalling

I would like to uninstall adobe reader because I get a lot of error messages - The root object is missing or invalid. and I can't figure out how to fix that - it is not helpful at all.  Now I am trying to uninstall and I can't seem to get the name and password to work.  UGH

what do you need a name/password for?
you should be able to use the adobe uninstaller unless your os is prompting your for a name/password.
after uninstalling, you can run the cleaner:  http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html

  • Need help uninstalling Acrobat 9.0 Pro (including registry entries)

    Hello;
I installed Acrobat Pro 9.0 and am not happy with it and want to COMPLETELY uninstall it. I was able to uninstall it using Add/Remove Programs, but I can see that there are still some left-over registry entries related to Adobe Acrobat 9 (this was the only Acrobat product installed on my system).
Does anyone know how to completekly remove all traces of Acrobat from one's system, including all registry entries? I cannot find anything on the Adobe website, and am looking for similar instructions that were posted for Acrobat 8 (kb400658)
    I'm running Windows XP SP3.
Thanks very much in advance for any help/advice offered.
    Regards, smeghead99

Thanks for that suggestion. I tried using the Microsoft Installer Utility but I can still see Acrobat entries in my registry.
Surely a step-by-step set of instructions to completely uninstall Adobe products (as was put together for Acrobat 8) should be made available by Adobe?
Thanks in advance to those who offer help.

  • Need help Uninstalling iPhoto 6

Another bummed out iLife 06 customer. I had to uninstall iMovie 6 because it was sluggish and crashing. So with that said, I did uninstall iMovie 6 only... and back to normal.... almost. My problem is I can't get to my pictures now that I am running imovie 5. Can anyone help me unistall iPhoto 6?
Thanks a million to who ever can help me with this.
    Beth

    Alberto,
iLife: Cannot See iPhoto Files in Other iLife Applications
If this doesn't work try this:1 - delete the iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie and iDVD preference files. Also delete the com.apple.iApps.plist file in your User/Library/Preferences folder.
2 - open the iApps in the following order: iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie, then iDVD.
If that doesn't work then rebuild your iPhoto Library:
    Try this:
Before doing a rebuild make sure iPhoto's trash bin is emptied. You can do this by control clicking on the trash bin, or from the menu bar under iPhoto.
    Close iPhoto
    Duplicate the iPhoto Library folder
Drag the duplicate to the desktop (hopefully you have enough room on your hard drive for the duplicate.)
Launch iPhoto holding down the Command and Option keys until you see the rebuild options screen.
Choose the first three options. If you were missing photos in your library, also choose the last option. Be advised that you will get a roll of orphaned photos and it might be quite huge. Most of them will already be in your iPhoto library, but use caution when deleting anything from this roll until you are sure the photos are still in your library in another place. It might be a good idea to share/export this roll of photos just in case you need to import them again.
Back to the rebuild, depending on the size of your library it might take some time. When it is done, hopefully your photos will be there.
You might see some unexpected results as I did when I did a rebuild. Photos had been moved to wrong dates, video clips had lost their duration info and some were even orphaned from the jpg pointer file. It took me some time to straighten it out again.
This is the reason to make a duplicate before you rebuild, in case you do not like the result. If you don't like the result, close iPhoto, then delete the rebuilt library and drag the duplicate back into the Pictures folder making sure the name is iPhoto Library. Launch iPhoto and it should open the library in the Pictures folder.

  • Help uninstall/ install

i have an old version of itunes 4.8 or something, i'm trying to uninstall. i then want to install the latest version. i went to add/remove programs in the control panel. it no longer is in the add/remove, but there is still an icon on desktop and when i click on it goes to itunes. thank you for reading this, please help if you can!

THANK YOU very much! I am re-installed now.  Although I have not checked to see if InDesign is behaving better.  It was moving very slow and the wheel spun every time I did something.  I have a brand new iMac (16GB memory/3.4 GHz) and there’s no reason for the lag.  At least from the computer anyway.  I printed out your solution and saving it in case I or one of my co-workers have this issue.  Thanks Again.

  • Please help uninstalling Photoshop CS3 Extended

I cannot uninstall CS3 Extended.  I am getting a message "Adobe photoshop -  Cannot uninstalled, Components missing, and when I try to fix or reinstall, Component installed failled   Shared components - Component installed failed,
Can I just delete everything and then start over, or what do I do. Need help quick!
    I have Windows Vista!

I have installed a WinCS5cleanupscript, it tells me to open the Installer data base utility.exe.  and when I do that, I need to know which program to open it with.
I do not know a lot about computers, so I need a hand to guide me. This is so very frustrating. Never had this much trouble uninstalling a program.

  • I need help uninstalling the recent download I did of Adobe Flash Player.

I recently installed the newest update for Adobe Flash Player for my computer, but by doing so it no longer works for anything that I do.
I saw in the help that there is a way to uninstall the latest version and download an older version of it. Reading the instructions and then doing them is difficult for me, especially when it involves something as intense as this.
I was wondering if there was a way that I could get the instructions given to me verbally by a representative, say, over the phone. Because my biggest fear I'm having right now is that by doing it myself, I'm going to screw up royally and just make things even worse than they already are.
If this is possible in any way, shape, or form, that would be awesome and make me feel 1,000,000 times better. This has been an issue I've been having with my computer for a week and a half now, and I would REALLY like to rectify it and make it better.
    Please, and thank you.
    -Jessie

This is a user forum; we are not doing phone support.
However, we can give you step-by-step instructions here at the forum, and we can make it as detailed as you wish.
    First we need to know
    what is your operating system?
    what is your browser?
what Flash Player version do you want to install?

  • Need nitty-gritty help uninstalling

My computer crashed during an iTunes upgrade... so then, I've got a/some critical file(s) missing. ITunes can't run w/o the file(s), can't uninstall (using the Windows uninstaller) without the file(s), and can't re-install because it detects a previous, undeleteable installed version.
I want to get all remaining traces of iTunes off of my computer so that I can, well, install iTunes.
Help? Please? I don't want to have to completely wipe my drive and reinstall everything to expunge all traces of this thing.

    Hey Kimberly Stedman,
Try going through the steps in this article to resolve:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93976
There is a step to assist in "Clean up iTunes installer files on the computer" that is important to try.
    Hope this helps,

  • HELP Uninstall AIR

I'm trying to uninstall via AdobeAIRInstaller.exe -uninstall.
Only 2 EXEs appear to be running in background but it never
ends and nothing happens (AdobeAirInstaller and Adobe Air
    Installer).
Windows add/remove is not an option.
The version of AdobeAIRInstaller.exe is 1.5.1.8210 and I'm
    using Windows XP SP3.
    Thanks in advance!

Try using Microsoft's free "Windows Install Clean-Up" utility.  It's the only thing that allowed me to uninstall Adobe AIR after it had somehow become corrupted.
Run that, then select any entries for "Adobe AIR" in the list of programs (I had two entries in my list), and remove them.  That should fix it!
To download, visit http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301, then scroll down till you see download link.
    Hope that helps!
P.S.  Someone else suggested to find Adobe Integrated Runtime in the installer clean up list and to click remove that.  Personally, I didn't see Integrated Runtime in the installer clean up list.  For me, the problem was fixed by just removing the Adobe AIR entries.

  • Help uninstall beta version

Have been using Dreamweaver CS3; downloaded beta version of
CS4 some weeks back. Forgot about it. Ordered upgrade to CS4 on
DVD. Cannot upgrade without uninstalling the beta version already
on my HD. Can't figure out how to uninstall it - I'm using Windows
which is new to me... since I am a Mac user at home. Thanks.

Haven't installed DWCS4 beta but am sure it would show up in
    the Windows
list of programs, so do this:
Start Menu -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add or
    Remove Programs. Double
click on that and, in the list, scroll to the Dreamweaver
    Beta program and
    click the Remove button.
    Hope it helps...

I downloaded a trial version of both Photoshop and InDesign CS5 and don't have room for either on my computer right now, though I might buy them some time in the future. But I need them off of my computer, yet every time I click "uninstall" nothing happens. I successfully uninstalled Photoshop yesterday, but had to system restore so it's back on my computer. How can I get rid of these programmes? I see the Creative Suite Cleaner tool, but it says you have to uninstall the programme first... All help greatly appreciated!
