Help URGENLY needed- swap memory info

Hello Folks,
I am new to solaris. I am writing a process monitoring program,
where I need to display the swap memory details.
I am confused with the different figures I am getting for the swap reporting utilities such as:
-> swap
$>swap -s

Also

iPhones contain no user servicible parts. IF you were to open the device, you would void any warranty associated, and Apple would no longer offer ANY service on the device (including out of warranty service).

When the Time Capsule disk starts to become full, Time Machine will automatically delete the oldest backups first to make room for new backups.

This is probably one of the files that is required by the template you are using.
These files are inside the iWeb app. Control click the iWeb app icon and select "Show package contents".
You need to dig down through the folders and files to find what you want...
Contents/Resources/da.lproj/Templates/
If the file is missing you would need to re install the iWeb app...

Swap memory & CPU rules

Hi people,
I need the requirements for choice the amount of CPU and type, and the rule to calculate the amount of swap memory of productive system. The amount of physical memory is 12 GB RAM.
In the installation guide says that PHYSICAL MEMORY+ 14 GB= Swap memory. Is this avalaible for productive system.

Ruben this is quite a frequently asked quetion...
Basically if your system is Unix based the thumb rule is that SWAP should be 3 times your physical memory (been 12 gb it shouldn't be much of an issue). In windows 64bit usually 20Gb of swap (pagefile) is enough for most installations

You can test your memory system in terminal, open terminal (use spotlight to find it or go to utility folder in applications) and issue the following command, watch your activity monitor while it runs, when you've had enough, hit Control-C in the terminal window.
sudo memory_pressure -l warning
watch your pressure rise then hit
control-C

I check in my system profiler and it shows I do have a memory slot open. It is using a DDR2 and I was told that the latest are DDR3 and I need to find out if I can run that on my model number. This info came from a tech guy at best buy.

That is what I needed. You can upgrade to a maximum of 6gb of ram and need the following type:

Update memory info failed

We have an Oracle SQL query which runs in seconds directly on the database but when we put it in InfoView it runs for several minutes.
We ran a trace on the query in InfoView and received thousands of lines of this:
**WARNING:CCDZMgr:Update memory info failed [cecdzmgr.cpp;1161]
Has anyone seen this before? Is it something we can repair or do we have to live with it?

HI Josh,
I have seen this in almost every 3.X log. We've looked into this and found that it's nothing to worry about. If things are running slow, you'll need to look in another direction.

ST22 Swap memory problem

Hi all,
I having problem in BI 7.0 server for swap memory goes to RED color... I know some variables and paramaters, but I am not sure how to calculate (depend on 12GB physical memory)

Double click on the red highlighted swap, now click on current parameters.
Here you can see which parameters designates the memory for this buffer area. Once buffer is exceeded it begins to SWAP.
this is not a bad thing unless you are seeing performance problems. Most performance problems are far deeper than this.
You now need to research the overall memory usage and decide whether to increase the parameter and possibly decrease others.
use ST06 as well for overall usage amounts of swap.

Configure Memory Info service in Visual Administrator

Hello All,
I need to configure Memory Info service in Visual Administrator.
I am looking for a service/tool which will give me a summary of used/free and total memory in portal.
Ive read a little about Memory Info service and i think this will help me fulfill my requirement.
1. If you know of any other tool which will help me in my requirement, please give details.
2. Please guide me to configure Memory Info Service in Visual Admin. Currently its appears as its not configured. When I right click on it, the Start and Stop commands in the context menu are disabled.

1.Memory Info - The context menu for Start / Stop is greyed out.
How can I start this service?

Increase swap memory

Hi guys,
I'm trying to run some strain calculations but my PC keeps running out of memory (first the RAM (4gb) and after that the swap memory (1GB), checked it with free). I know that for these particular calculations <8GB of memory should suffice. Does anybody know how to increase the swap memory from 1GB to 4GB without reinstalling arch linux?

1) replace swap with swapfile

2) set properly swappiness:
vm.swappiness = 100
number corresponds to % of swap than can be used
set
vm.vfs_cache_pressure=500
you can adjust these settings permanently via /etc/sysctl.conf or temporarily:
sysctl -w vm.swappiness="100"
these settings will not affect system performance if RAM memory is not exhausted but will help if swap is needed.

But my question is do oracle software required 98GB of swap?

Depending on what your needs are, you may use Pages included in iWork or purchase it separately (usually there is an evaluation copy with any new mac, I guess) or try other publishing apps. I once used MS Publisher, I remember it was something like a more sophisticated word processor, right?
You may try the cheaper DTP iCalamus or Word for mac.

Importing video help! Need Time and date to show up on screen...

SOMEBODY HAS TO HAVE AN ANSWER!
Okay, little background... I just got a new Mac book pro lab top. First time apple user. Difficult to learn, but learned fast. I am working with IMovie HD program, got the hang of it. I have a Cannon ZR50 camcorder, mini DVR tape. Camera has DV,S, USB, AV etc.. port outs. Hooked it up to lab top to import video to lab top to edit footage add sound etc... to later burn to DVD via IDVD program
BTW: I used a DV to Firewire cable to load up footage.
PROBLEM I AM HAVING. is when I'm importing my video to the computer, time and date stamp from my camcorder's screen does not show up on Mac screen. It gets lost when importing. How I view it on my camcorder (SHOWING TIME/DATE INFO ON FOOTAGE TAKEN) is how I would like to view it after importing it to lab top to later edit ad sound tracks etc... If I hook up my camcorder to a VHS or TV, to record on tape of footage taken, Time/Date stamp of footage shows up and records on tape with no problem.
I spoke with a lot of people on this issue. Everyone refers me to someone else. I can't get an answer for something in my eyes is so simple. They all said " Why would you want the time and date stamp to show up on your footage anyway" Well I would like it to be that way. Topic got down to three things that might solve problem. 1. Need better video/editing software. 2. Need Digital Analog capture device. 3. Need new camcorder. I've been working on this problem for a day or so. It's getting rough for help. Is the disk cache and the memory cache enabled?
You can check these prefs on the about:config page.

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.
