Help with a panel

I have seen many tutorials where there is a panel at the bottom with "properties", "filters" and "parameters". But I don't have that panel. I have tried to change workspace but I can't get this panel. When I choose (Window > Properties) I only get a properties panel on right side but It's not that panel I'm looking for.
So how should I do to get this panel?

I believe this panel is on the side in newer versions of Flash instead of on the bottom, and I don't know if you can relocate it down to the bottom, but if you can, usually just dragging it down is how it would afix itself there if you drop it on a border. In CS3 there is another level of selection provided where you can choose between Properties, Filters, and Parameters off of the Window -> Properties option.

Help with draggable Panels

Hi All,
I am making some panels (3x3) which are draggable. When I
drag a panel over another panel these two panels must swap from
place. Therefore I use the DragManager.
On the mouseMove event I call a method which does:

But this doDrag function is different from the startDrag()
function. With the startDrag function the Panel is visually

What I want is to drag the Panel itself when I drag it (not
an DragImage) and when I enter another Panel(box) these Panels must
swap with a cool Move-effect.
Can anybody give me some help or hints on how to do this?

Help with flexible panels in Accordian

I can't seem to get my panels to work as flexible when viewed in a browser. The scroll bars are gone, but only the first line of text shows up.
Here's what I tried...
I changed CSS of AccordianPanelContent to this...

I'm guessing the problem lies in the fact that I have this form set up inside of a div. I tried to look for code forcing the height not to change but couldn't find the issue. There are no heights specified in the "SpryAccordian.css". Here's my CSS style sheet for the page. (Sorry it's long, but thought this might help someone see the issue... Please excuse my long-hand in the code -- not using shorthand to notate borders etc... I'm new and need it spelled out, for now...)

When selected, the first panel text overflowed on top of the second accordian tab.
When I select the second panel, the first stays open, as well as the 2nd.
And the text for the next 4 accordian tabs gets out of wack -- they line up on the right hand of the accordian field, with multiple line breaks, rather than in a single line below each tab.
I noticed that overflow:hidden; shows up in two places in the Accordian css file. Tried deleting one, deleting both. but still "no go".
I feel I need to apologize to the forum. I wish I had a better handle on code. But I am actively trying to learn. Reading my book (and doing the exercises) for about an hour a day. And asking lots of questions. I hope it's OK to post these kinds of questions here, even though I'm not very advanced.

Help with XMP Panels in Adobe BRidge

I'm trying to create a XMP Panel for Adobe Bridge, and I'm having a weird problem I'm hoping someone can answer.
The Panel is created, and works, I can change a metadata field and the metadta field gets saved correctly.
However, I need to change one of the metadata fields in code, and although it's changing thee text within the field, when I close the panel it doesn't update the metadata.
Here's a code sippet:

with xml, like the scroll panel made in gotoandlearn "scrolling
thumbnail Panel" but creating each button with xml. well this works
fine.
but I want to do if a panel that loop if I move the mouse
right or left any idea to do this?

Help with collapsible panel in DW

I created a collapsible panel on my webpage and it's on-load state (when you open it in a browser and/or refresh the page) is open, meaning when I first open the page or refresh it the panel is open. I would like for it to be closed (in the on-load state. When you intially open the page in a browser) so that the visitor can just see the small tab and click on it if they choose to do so. My collapsible panel that I used is the standard one in Dreamweaver. [SOLVED] KICKER Help with a panel please

After using awesome to get some productive work done, I need a DE thats easy to use (for my dad who didn't know how to close a window in windows)
But i will also use it as well, i wanted to use the kde 3.5.10 panel in openbox, or xfce or something, but i cant find the kicker package?
any ideas

installed kdemod 3.5.10, then /opt/bin/kicker
now i have compiz standalone with the best panel in all the land hoorah AND hazzah yes!
now to get to work......

Help with Scroll Panel

I'm mocking up a site for a friend of mine and I have 2 questions about a scroll panel. First when I create text then convert it to a scroll panel component it always adds the text "Add More Content Here" somewhere in the middle of my content. I convet back to artwork to get rid of it and then go to scroll panel again and its back. Super frustrating. You can see the example here: (hover over the "Own" button for the scroll panel)

I had this problem too. Try this: before you convert to a scroll panel component, make sure your text box is tall enough so that you can see all your text without needing to scroll -- you may have to extend it down beyond the lower boundary of your project. When you convert to a scroll panel, it will resize to the height of your scroll bar.

Help with updating Panels - pausing mid-method

I am developing a relatively simple card game (a version of the wisconsin card sort test, more specifically). The user clicks on a card in the top row to match it, receives feedback for a precise amount of time (ie, a popup appears for exactly 1 second declaring if the match was correct or not, and then disappears). After the status disappears, the next card must flip.
So, I have a top row of four cards, which are fixed.
The next row is the cards that have been matched to the top cards (selected by the user).
The bottom row shows the next card, to match to the top row.
The problem is, I can't seem to get the window to update in a time-appropriate manner. I want the user to receive feedback after clicking one of the top row cards for a specific amount of time, either in the form of a dialog, popup, or even simply painting the panel itself). Then, after that specific amount of time has passed, the status clears (either the popup or dialog disappears or panel resets), and then the bottom card flips to the next card, and the match is placed below the card selected.
The problem is, I cannot seem to get the status to appear and then disappear. I have tried causing the Thread to sleep, I have tried putting the Model on a separate thread and then causing that to sleep, and then updating the model, and I have also tried just hacking it (ie, doing a while loop and calling Calendar.getInstance().getTimeInMillis() until the correct amount of time has passed). With all of these attempts, the frame will simply not update until AFTER the pause, but I absolutely MUST have the status reflected back to the user for a specific amount of time.
It seems as if, based on my reading and understanding of how swing works, that it's waiting until the very end of the method to update the entire panel. Right now, I have a Model class holding all the card information that extends Observable, and calls setChanged() and updateObservers(). The View/Controller class is the Observer, and the update() method is definitely being called (based on the printlns I have placed). However, I have tried a seemingly infinite variety of repaint(), invalidate(), validate() calls within the update method that are not executed until the model's entire method is executed.
I am not sure if this is a threading issue, if I should try and put the Model on a separate thread, or if I should be ensuring that building the View should all be done on the event dispatch thread? I feel like I've been running around in circles, this seems like a relatively straightforward thing to do but hasn't been at all.

The println that I'm calling from the actionPerformed method is being called continuously, until I kill the code execution. Help with Tabbed panels please

Hello,
Can someone please tell me how I can change the color of the background of the tabs in tabbed panels. They are a grey and I can go into each tab and set a new color and when that tab is chose, the new color shows, but when I click on the next panel tab, the prvious one background goes back to grey. How do I get that whole grey background color changed?
Did I confuse everyone because I think I confused myself lol

Help with "Tabbed panels"

Hi guys,
i am trying to design a web for my company. The company devided in to three parts. Every part has a slightly different menu.
I assume i could use "tabbed panels" for that purpose but the contents of tabs are changed only on mouse click. I would like people to hover on main menu button and submenu contents are changing...the same for all three main menu buttons. Each main menu buttons has about 7 or 8 submenus.
Is it possible for you to point me to a step by step tutorials to do it?

Help with a scrolling flash panel

Hello, Ive used the excellent tutorial to create a scrolling thumb panel (http://library.creativecow.net/articles/brimelow_lee/scrolling_thumbnail_panel/video-tutor ial.php)
It works brilliantly and I have movie thumbs linking to a flash player. It all works fine, what Im needing help with is to change the scrolling.
At current it scrolls up and down according to where I have set the 'line', I would like it to scroll up and down near the top and the bottom, rather than all the time (effectively creating a dead zone in the middle). I cant figure out how to change the code to get this to behave as required.
Please Help!

I have been syncing calendar and contacts on my iPhone 5 and Outlook 2007 using iCloud 2.1.3 (my PC is running Vista). All was well until the events I entered on the phone were showing up in Outlook, but not the other way around. I’ve tried the usual recommended steps: deselecting calendar and contacts in the iCloud control panel and then re-selecting, signing out of the panel and back in, and repairing the Outlook installation in control panel. I even uninstalled iCloud on the PC and downloaded it again (same version).
The furthest I’ve gotten is step 2 (and once, step 3) of 7 while performing “Outlook Setup For iCloud.” At that point I get, “Your setup couldn’t be started because of an unexpected error.” After the first attempt at all this, all my calendar events disappeared from Outlook, although they are still in iCloud calendar and on my phone.
Sound familiar? Any ideas on how to solve this iCloud/Outlook issue? Thanks much in advance!
