Unfortunately we can not solve it that way.
I have a worksheet with a table and a connected chart.
After swapping the axis, saving and refreshing, I still have the same effect that the axis were switched back.
Can you please describe how you achieved it?
Are there any other ideas?
We have tried several sequences for saving and switching - without success.

Hello, i am trying to display a line chart, for some sales data.
I want a line (series) for each product, X axis should be the years in the data
(2007, 2008, 2009 there is no more data than these years)
The plan is to eventually use a "Function Returning SQL Query" to get dynamic series.
But i tried to hardcode 2 lines for 2 products first to try it out.
I used this query in SQL Workshop > SQL Commands
to view the data i want and it works correctly

I have looked at the examples, tried some things
and found out that my GROUP BY was the problem.
Apperantly i only have to GROUP BY on year and not also on product.
I dont fully understand why yet,
i guess the query gets parsed and translated to 2 queries, one for each line, that makes sense

Your approach seems to be right.
Get the data using hibernate into your struts action ( if you are using struts ).
Set the xml and any other property as request attribute.
Embed the chart in JSP, by including FusionChartsRenderer.jsp ( found in download package ) and passing xml ( got from request attribute ) and other values as parameters to it.
Please check the FusionCharts forum for some discussions on Struts, JSP implementation. ( /forum - you could use the search feature available there )

Need help with chart problem

I have built the attached vi to read a binary file. It has two problems which I have not been able to figure out. The way it works is as follows: Reads the entire file, and grabs the trace names from the file. Populates the list box with these names. Select the traces you want to see and then the legend display will size itself and populate with the selected names. The selected traces will also display on the chart.
1. Sometimes, when picking a SINGLE trace it won't display on the chart. Instead I see a blank chart and the X-Axis shows Dec. 31 1903 @ 7pm. Usually If I select more than one it displays correctly. A probe shows me the data is in the wire going to the chart, but the chart doesn't seem to update.
2. Presently I am using a loop to read the file in its entirety. However the chart only displays 1 second worth of data. This is one segment of the original file. By reading the whole file I am seeing the LAST second of my data. Previously I removed the loop and then I only see the first second of data. Is there an easy way to select a different segment of the file to display?
I have been fighting with these two issues for several days now and I don't seem to be any closer....
Here is my vi and a sample binary file. (Note that I couldn't attach it as .bin so it needs to be re-named back to .bin from .txt)

altenbach, Thanks a ton for your assistance. I have gained serious insight by examining how you approached this. I am able to see how my thinking was somewhat flawed. Here is the vi I used to write the file. I have also included another sample .bin file (which needs to be renamed to .bin), and a subvi I built to generate filenames based on time stamps.
This is part of a system we are trying to build to monitor some of our equipment 24/7. The plan is to use this data to monitor long term degradation of the equipment in order to perform preventive maintenance, before problems occur. I work in a Nuclear plant, so problems can be serious...
In the final application the "Trigger" will be set by a physical input. For example, when a fuelling machine component is commanded to move we will start the data acquisition and when the machine is commanded to stop, the acqusition stops. The plan is to archive all of the data, and any analysis would be done by the system engineers later.
We would like to able to examine the entire data file which would be captured. A typical movement of our machine might last for as long as 2 minutes. We want to capture all of this time period, but we might need to examine only a couple of seconds anywhere within this window.

Just had charter hooked up and I can't get the email to work. Have read earlier posts and the info seems old and conflicting. Can anyone help me - currently without email...

I've never used Charter, but you can follow the steps at this Charter site:

It's curious that the WHERE clause includes "PROJECT_STATUS='6'", but there is no pivoted column for project_status='6', like there is for '1' through '5'. That's not necessarily a mistake, and it wouldn't raise an error in any case.
Instead of
where (PROJECT_STATUS='1' or PROJECT_STATUS='2' or PROJECT_STATUS='3' or PROJECT_STATUS='4' or PROJECT_STATUS='5' or PROJECT_STATUS='6')you could say

If you can't get a more specific error message from Apex, then try debugging this statement in SQL*Plus. When you get it fixed, then you can copy it back into Apex.
If this is a SQL problem, then you should be able to re-create the problem in pure SQL.
If you can't re-create the problem in pure SQL, then it's probably an Apex problem, and belongs in the Apex forum, not here.
I don't see anything obviously wrong with your code, but I can't tell if, for example, you spelled a column name wrong, or if something has the wrong data type

Whenever you have a problem, please post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only) from all tables involved.
Also post the results you want from that data, and an explanation of how you get those results from that data, with specific examples.
Always say which version of Oracle (and any other software, such as Apex) you're using.

This is more of an SQL question, rather than specifically APEX-related. It's notable that you say: I'm a new user on APEX with no real SQL knowledgeWhich is fine (we all have to start somewhere, afterall) but it might be worth de-coupling the problem from APEX in the first instance. I'd also strongly recommend either taking a course, reading a book (e.g. http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=r5vbGgz7TFsC&printsec=frontcover&dq=Mastering+Oracle+SQL&hl=en#v=onepage&q=Mastering%20Oracle%20SQL&f=false) or looking for a basic SQL tutorial - it will save you a whole lot of heartache, I promise you. Search the oracle forums for the terms "Basic SQL Tutorial" and you should come up with a bunch of results.
Given that you've copied your query template from another, I would suggest ensuring that the actual query works first of all. Try running it in either:
* SQL Editor
* SQL*Plus
* an IDE like SQL Developer (available free from the OTN: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/sql-developer/downloads/index.html ) or TOAD or similar.
You may find there are syntax errors associated with the query - it's difficult to tell without looking at your data model.

Help. My Airport Express won't connect with Charter Internet???

I just got Charter internet today, I'm trying to set it up from my PC so that it can connect wirelessly to my iMac, ipods, xbox etc and everytime I try and configure it, it says I have an invalid IP address. Does apple's airport express not work with Charter???

How to set up Airport Extreme with Charter ARRIS Modem TM902A for the first time for WIRELESS.
When Charter Tech goes to your site, have them connect the modem up, but do not connect the modem to your iMAC or MacBook Pro. What you want to do is connect the Airport Extreme to the iMac or MacBook Pro first with the Ethernet Cable. You have to do this to configure via Airport Utility to set up the Base Station Name & Base Station Password.
You will then create/configure a Wireless Network, create your Wireless Password that will be entered on each of your Devices, example, Apple Tv, your iPhone, etc., you want to allow access to your Wireless Network you are creating.
Wireless Security will be -> WPA/WPA2 personal or just WPA2
Enter the Wireless Password you want
Verify the Wireless Password (enter it again)
After it is created you will see it on the Airport Utility window with the name you created for it and to the left, will be a Dot (circle that will be yellow).
Next you then want to unplug the power to the Airport Extreme, and then take the end of the Ethernet cable you unplugged from the iMac or Lap top MacBook Pro and connect it to the back of the Modem.
Next unplug the power cord from the modem and wait about 5 minutes, then plug the power back into the Arris Modem and wait until all lights come back on the modem wait
about 5 minutes, then plug the power cord back to the Airport Extreme and you will see it the light blinking yellow. Wait about 5 to 10 minutes, during this time Restart you IMAC or MacBook Pro, and once it is back up click on the Airport Utility and you should see on the Airport Utility screen.
For INTERNET to the left the light should be green and you should see the Airport Extreme also appear and the light to the left on the screen should also be green. If they are, you then should be able to click on the Wireless Symbol on top of bar of the screen and click to select the Wireless Network Name you created.
If you Do Not See the light (Icon) next to INTERNET turn Green, or if you see the Internet Light Green, but the Light (Icon) next to the Airport Extreme is yellow, unplug the power again to the modem and unplug the power again to the Airport extreme and wait about 15 minutes or up to 30 minutes. Then plug the power cord back to the modem wait till all the lights light up then, plug the power cord back into the Airport Extreme and Restart your iMAC or MacBook Pro.
The Airport Extreme light should change from yellow to green. Open up the Airport Utility to see what the indicators are showing they should both be green. Again select Wireless network you created under the Wireless Icon on the top right of the screen. Open Safari and see if you are able to Route to a web page or the apple site should appear.
WHAT TO DO IF YOUR AIRPORT EXTREME WAS PREVIOUSLY SET UP FOR USE WITH ANOTHER CARRIERS ROUTER OR MODEM.
NOTE: If you already had your Airport Extreme connected for example, I previously had ATT Uverse and the Airport Extreme was connected to the Wireless Router Model 3801HGV, I disabled the Uverse Wireless and used the Airport Extreme for the Wireless signal in bridge mode, as the Airport extreme Signal is much stronger than the Uverse router, and I was able to obtain a Wireless signal with the Airport Extreme way much better with no signal loss which was very very frustrating with the Uverse router.
Anyhow if you had it hooked up like this, now that you will be using it with the Charter ARRIS Modem TM902A, you will need to reset the Airport Extreme to clear out the old data it has in memory, with the previous set up otherwise it will not work. Trust me I spent 6 hours trying to make it work reading all Apple Support Community questions and answers relating to this type issue/problem others have been having trying to get their set up working. I tried all the tips, and I finally decided just to see if by chance I would be able to connect with someone with Charter Tech support who might be familiar with Apple to be able to assist me and by luck I did. He told me why it was not working and was all due the previous configuration with the ATT Uverse router was still in memory with the Airport Extreme. Finally it was 10:30 PM when I decided to call Charter Tech Support and I had been working on this since 3:00 pm pacific. I did not call them earlier as all the post I read said they never received any good help from Charter. After calling them I finished up by 11:00 PM and was able to finally connect Apple Tv, iMac, iPhones and Macbook Pro. We love our Apple Product and Happy all is connected with the new
Internet Provider Charter. I must say the speed is way way much better than it ever was with AT&T Uverse.
THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO DO:
First you will need to unplug the Airport Extreme, then by taking the tip of a pen or paper clip end you need to push the reset button on the back of the Airport Extreme and hold it
down and at the same time plug the power cord back into the Airport Extreme count to 5 or 10 then release the reset button. Then once he light in front of the Airport Extreme stops blinking you need to plug the Ethernet cable from the Airport Extreme to your iMAC or Macbook Pro, and restart which ever one you have, then open the Airport Utility once it is back up. If you see airport extreme pop up with the old network name or it shows and yellow triangle click on the Airport Extreme ICON it will not let you configure it but will ask if you want to get rid of it or remove and just do it. Then Again restart your iMAC or MacBook Pro, open up Airport Utility again, and on the top left you should see under “Other Airport Base Stations” the MAC ID for the Airport Extreme.

I just got a Charter Modem. Model TM822. While I was moving, my Airport Extreme was still at my old place.
I have a Linksys WRT320N I used for the initial Charter setup.
I can get my Airport to work here, but the Internet light on the Modem flashes Yellow.
Hasn't caused any issues so far but one thing I did notice.
On the Linksys there were 3 DNS servers listed.
The Airport Extreme only lists 2 and i don't see where I could add another, only change whats already there.
I tried everything above, but light on modem still flashes yellow.
I have the technicians cell phone. Told me "that shouldn't be" and gave the same advice listed above.
I'll break down and call Charter one day, see if it's on their end. NSA tracking may need a reset LMAO.

Report with chart in 11g fails

Iam building an RTF template in Word with chart and some data. The chart is inside a group. Everything works fine from BIP desktop. When i upload the template into 11g and run the report, I get 'File does not begin with '%PDF-%' error. When i remove the chart, the report works fine in 11g. Has any one faced a similar issue? Can someone help me with this error.

I am using Tab navigator with one viewstack having Chart and another having Datagrid
I have a number of panels with graphs and charts in the Datagrid. User sees many panels at a time.
1)How can I present these Panels(with Charts) to different pages of PDF?
2)How can I write to pdf both chart and datagrid in a tab navigator, and if the creation policy is such that it is loaded only when user selects?
Do relpy me as soon as possible. Your help will be highly appreciated
Also I have problem in Using addImage();

what parameter we have to use for resize here. I am using latest version .1.5 beta. I a getting error for resize

Eureka! You now understand the situation.
Even the old standard for Mac OS X drivers for non-compatible cams, macam, says that it has no driver for ASUS (20") monitor camera.
The macam status shows:
not working (no documentation)
With no working driver for the 20" ASUS, it is not surprising that there is none for the 27" either. There may be good reason that ASUS won't (or can't) offer either the technical documentation or a Mac driver for their monitor's inbuilt webcam. However, they apparently do not publish that information.
If ASUS Technical Support cannot provide the driver you need for OS X, the ASUS will continue to be a ridonculous (sic) monitor whose webcam will not work with your OS X Mac. The only other simple fix I can think of is to use the ASUS with a different PC that is compatible with this monitor and its inbuilt webcam. What you do is certainly your choice.

Print Web Application with chart

Hello all!
We want to print our Web Application after push a button, not over context menu.
I have read the "How to ... Enhance Web Printing". But this solution doesn't help me with charts as far as I understand. Else it would be a fine solution for my problem.
Has anyone an idea how I can print the whole web application with chart and table? But I have to say that the web application is embedded in SAP Enterprise Portal. So it is also no answer to just print the full web page.
Isn't there a way to just use context menu commands with a button?

If you are using BI 7.0 you can use PDF based printing for this.
In 3.5 you can use StyleSheets for formatting, and use js command window.print to just print the BI Report area within EP.

Download Excel with charts

Hi my friends
My client has a jsp web app running on Websphere. Currently, it has a function downloading data into excel sheet
Now, they want to download excel with charts on it
I know it is not so hard to do in fat clients but this case, we have a jsp webapp, and i don't know how to deal with the excel charts, templates from a jsp server
What is the best way for me to archive that requirement.
