Help with cover art and explicit channel?

Have recently made a podcast with friends and just got it accepted by itunes, it hasn't appeared yet but am waiting on that.
I was never asked by my RSS aiding software, or by itunes about the explicit tag and as such it doesn't have one. It does kind of need it, and all the advice I have found on this page so far about adding the tag makes no difference.
Also, the cover art won't appear: but for the moment this is less major

If your podcast contains sexual or strong language you must have this tag in the top section of the feed (between the 'channel' tag and the first 'item' tag' and also within the 'item' tags for each episode affected:
<itunes:explicit>yes</itunes:explicit>
Failure to include this tag will get you rejected.
Artwork: the image which appears in the Store page is referenced in the 'itunes:image' tag in the feed - it can take several days before it appears as it's cached separately.
The image which appears in iTunes when you subscribe is not referenced in the feed but has to be actually embedded in the media file for each episode - please see this page:

I am unable to update my album art on my iMac since I started using Match (and after upgrading to Yosemite 10.10.3). A message advises that it's not possible to removed old artwork if it's embedded. How can I 'unembed' old cover art and replace?

Normally artwork recovered with iTunes is stored as a separate artwork file and iTunes refers to that file to display artwork when you click on a track. However, if you then copy the file to another player the artwork file is left behind and the track will not display the artwork on the other player. To get around this it is possible to embed the artwork in the music file itself so it always travels with the file. Artwork can be embedded by you or files from third party sources may arrive with embedded artwork. iTunes apparently now won't replace artwork for such files. You can accomplish this by completely deleting artwork for a file or set of files in Get Info, then getting iTunes to fetch artwork which will then be set as a reference file rather than being embedded.
I use an old iTunes so unless you are using an ancient iTunes it won't help for me to give you great details. To erase artwork I simply get info on a series of files and check the box next to the artwork box without adding any artwork and close. To do it for single file I Get Info, go to the artwork display tab and click delete. Here's a Windows reference for a newer iTunes (but the "old Get Info" reference is for early iTunes 12 and no longer works with newer):I cannot delete embedded album artwork in iTunes 12

In whatever method you are using to create your podcast there should be a place where you originally placed the image or its URL, and you can just replace this with a new one (which needs to have a different filename from the original). Similarly there should be a place to enter your name so that it goes in the 'itunes:author' tag.

Trying to fix my rss feed for resubmitting, I can see cover art and subscribe but don't see my episodes.

I've submitted my RSS feed and it came back with an error. I was able to fix the problem and can now see my cover art and subscribe to my podcast, but the episode is not there for me to listen to. My feed comes back ok on the feed testers. So I'm not quite sure what the problem is.

There is no file at the address you give for your feed, probably you've mistyped it.
You've fallen over a bug in the automated part of the submissions process whereby you are told a feed has already been submitted even if it was subsequently rejected or removed. I'm afraid the workaround is indeed to change the title (the name of your podcast) slightly - you can change it back once accepted provided doing so does not change the feed URL. If you can change the feed filename, and hence its URL, this is also a good idea, as is changing the URL in the 'link' tag (this can easily be changed back afterwards).

SORRY ALL... After searching, I couldn't find anything, and once I submitted this, up comes suggested previous discussions where it's clear iTunes Match is likely regressing my artwork. I'll proceed with deleting it all first, making sure it gets out of the cloud, then adding it back as if it were new. (Wow, Apple, what a waste of time!)

Restored my library from backup discs, need help with album art/playlist

Good morning everyone. Using the great information on this site I have successfully backed up "my library". I then reformatted my hd and reinstalled win xp and itunes. I was also successful in using the awesome restore feature of itunes. "My library" is back 100%.
The only thing left is the album art and my playlists- both currently on my ipod. My question is how do I update "my library" and "my playlist" from my ipod? I am worried that if I plug in my ipod without knowing what to do then my ipod will try to match "my library" (which does not have artwork) and thus my ipod will delete the album artwork. I have several thousand songs and would HATE to lose that artwork since it would be a time consuming pain to update those manually. Also I have 20 or so playlists on my ipod. I am afraid of losing those (currently on ipod) when I connect to itunes since it will try to update and match the now empty/blank playlist currently in itunes.
I am sure these are easy solutions for you pros out there. That's why I am asking! You folks have always given the proper help and advice whenever an issue has arisen. Thanks in advance!

Just Google the album title, then click the IMAGES tab. More times than not, I find the album cover in multiple sizes and about every time, at least one version that is truly square.
All i need to do then is click the image, then again at the top of the resulting Google page (to show just the image - out of it's surrounding page), then drag the image directly to the Album Artwork Placeholder in the GET INFO tab (that has already been opened on multiple items - the whole album).

Export .m4a Audio File with Cover Art?

Hi, I recently upgraded to GarageBand 10.0.1 after purchasing a new MBP and have been mostly successful in finding all of the changes in the app, except this one. I use GB to create an audio podcast weekly, and in previous versions, I had the ability to export an audio file with the iTunes cover art already attached to it. I cannot find this feature in GB 10.0.1. Am I missing something? Thx for your time and any help given.

That is disappointing. Usually Apple is better about taking away steps to creating things, not adding to the number of steps required to create things.
GarageBand has been released a bit early. I am hoping, there is more to come. Otherwise, the installer would not have left the old version installed. It is a clear sign, that Apple knows, that some important features are still missing in GB 10.0. For the time being, I am starting the projects in GB '11, and add the finishing touches - drummer, arpeggiator in GarageBand 10.0.

Cover Art and Labels

I've completed my movie and would like to design and print coverart inserts for my case and I would like to design and print labels for the dvd itself.
I can't find anything in idvd to assist with this but am confident I have the tools to do this on my computer right now. Would one of you mac masters be able to help me?

Just to follow up on a couple of my suggestions:
1. It is entirely possible to use iTunes to make a jewel box insert by creating fake songs with your own "cover art." It would look quite nice as well. You can use a program call "Lossify" (free for Mac) to play around with some fake song metadata (ie create a song for each "chapter" in your DVD).
2. The Canon software I alluded to (downloadable for free from Canon's web site - Pixma inkject printer drivers / software) allows you to create images to print onto printably discs and jewel box inserts. It seemed, however, that it is setup to only print to Canon printers (reasonable).
After some though, however, I think the DVD or jewel box insert is something you could do in any word processor (MS Word?) or similar. It's just an image with some text on one side and similar on the other. Of course, you would need to setup the document/page size appropriately.
Personally, I am going to try the Canon software (my father has a Canon printer) for printing on my DVDs and making the jewel case insert.

Alright I give! I need some help with groups/busses and more please..

Well, its now been a few weeks of my off and on testing with my new Logic Rig, I have every plug I can transfer over to UB that I can and now am trying to get deeper into things.
First I struggled with learning the environment (I still dont get it fully) but now I am really confused about group and fx tracks.
- Am I missing something or is everything just a buss turned into a group? This also included creating an FX track?
If this is the case then its not nearly as complex as I think it is but I cant figure certain things out with the way logic handles naming in regards to its busses.
Lets say I want to create a sidechain group. I take an audio track change it to represent buss (1), I then rename buss 1 to SC-GROUP, now any window that I drop down to find the newly names SC-GROUP always remains named as buss (1). This even happens when I rename the buss direct from the audio environment.
I must be missing something, whats been confusing the heck out of me is that no matter how I try and name things they always remain their original names in any menues as the example of the buss (1), so how do I rename these channels so I can clearly know exactly where I am routing audio?
So lets summarise where I am lost so far hehe.
1. Are groups really just empty busses renamed to act as a group?
2. How can I rename a buss/group and be able to see the renamed channel in the menues.
and for the 3rd new question of sorts...
3. FX Sends, again is this just a buss that has an AU inserted into its channel and then rout the insert of an additional audio channel to the buss with the FX inserted?
and now my last uestion of the day if I have not confused you to death so far
Why is it that when I add a AU lets say battery as instrument 1, when I add another in the window and I rerout an instrum,ent track the next AU shows up at the bottom of the list instead of inst. 2?
If I am not explaining myself clearly enough for any of my examples let me know so I can try to better represent my questions. I am still so new to Logic and still have yet to get the bulk of the simple operations down just yet..

So if I understand right, a sub buss is nothing more than a routing the output of a few channels to a buss to control a few aspects like I had mentioned compressing an entire group of tracks EG: a drum buss (in this situation a drum sub buss?).
So I will have to reffer to the manual again to read the details on an actual group since it does seem there is a difference EG: the group can actually manipulate the faders of channels routed to the group?
FX busses seem to be just that, slap an FX info either and AUX channel or a buss and then set the insert of that AUX or buss desired.
The reason I asked about naming is that lets say I have 6 effects tracks I wish to use lets say as an example AUX1=Short Delay, AUX2=Long Filter Delay, AUX3=Slap Verb, AUX4=Long Verb and so forth.
When I go to actually use these inserts I need to assume I know exactly what AUX I assigned each effect to, if I could simply rename this AUX track to refference the effect it would make so much more sense then trying to remember what AUX5 was.
In regards to my last question here is a bit more of a detailed explanation, please bare with me as I am not in front of my computer.
1. I add battery into Audio Instrument-1
2. I then configure my environemt to use my AUXs I already have inplace for audio routing.
3. I then edit the Audio window create the midi for a new multi-instrument.
4. I come back to the main arrange window and hold-click on the next available audio-instrument and in the instrument window battery will be instrument 1 out of how ever many blanks apear EG:25+
5. Now I go to add lets say Stylus RMX into the next available mutli audio instrument. I then repeat steps 2,3,4.
Now when I get to step 4 this time instead of audio instrument 2 from the lint being Stylus it shows up as the last possible instrument in the drop list that appears under audio instrument from hold-click on the audio-instrument track.
Its just odd, it should be instrument 2, but instead it shows up as the last possible choice.
Maybe I am doing something wrong, even sometimes when I grab on of batteries midi tracks and create next object I will get a random audio track in there out of no where, or maybe its just a bug with battery.
Any ideas? If I still am not describing this right, I will post a step by step this eve of exactly the steps I am taking.

Compatability Problem with Album Art and iTunes in Vista?

Hi there,
I have album art for all of my music which I have added myself. (I prefer to do so instead of iTunes doing it for me.) However, after purchasing a new computer using Vista, I've encountered a problem.
When I drag and drop my music into iTunes, only about half of the album art shows up. The rest either isn't loaded or isn't identified by iTunes, even though I know it's there.
In fact, you can see the album art icon associated with each file when it's organized in its folder on my C: drive. But again, for some reason, much of it isn't loading when I open the files into iTunes.
I never had this problem using XP. Is it a compatability issue or is there a simple fix I'm unaware of? I'd really appreciate any help!!

Alright, my apologies, Chris. I don't think I explained myself clearly enough. The files are embedded with the music (these are the same music files that worked just fine in XP.)
The artwork isn't separate from the actual music file. When you click on the actual music file, you see the ICON associated with the file, and it's the artwork. I suppose that's just a new Vista feature.
However, I embedded all of the album covers myself, and again, they worked just fine in iTunes with XP. But for some reason, only about half of the album art is being recognized by iTunes even though it's embedded into the actual tag.

Is there a limit on cover art and if so, can I extend that limit?

I finally got around to adding cover art today and things were going great. Itunes supplied most of the art and the rest I was copy/pasting from Amazon and similar sites. However, just as I was about 10 albums away from being done, I can no longer paste art into itunes. I have cleared out an extra 10 gigs of memory on my computer, but it seems to make no difference. Is there a built in maximum on itunes itself? Can I alter it? Is there something else to try? I've tried pasting in both the viewer and the item information window.

Okay, so it turns out the issue wasn't with itunes, it was with the couple of jpegs I tried to copy/paste. Apparently I coincidently got a couple in a row that had names in the neighborhood of 30+ digits long. 'Pasted them to desktop, renamed them, and was able to then paste them in itunes no problem.
Sorry about the goose chase - I guess when in doubt, it pays to ask a better question. I should have asked "What reason would there be that itunes won't accept a jpeg?"
Answer - a stupidly bohemoth-long name.
