Help with on board sound kt3 ultra2

ok i just put everything together and got win me installed but my on board sound is not working i have the kt3 ultra2
device manager shows device working properly and bios has onboard sound enabled
i am not sure if i missed plugging something in on the board or anything basic

ok i tried reinstalling the driver i downloaded from that link and its still not working im not sure i did everything right from the beginnning is there anything on the motherboard im supposed to plug in to make it work i have the cable going from cd-rom to motherboard and its in the right spot but is that all i need
this is my first time working with on board sound
i know the speakers are working and i plugged them in the right spot i also plugged them in the other ports and they didnt work there either

Help with video board install

Here is my problem:
I bought a used video board (GeForce 7800 GT) to put in my G5 dual core 2ghz) Mac. But when I installed the board I get no monitor. I've made sure the power cord is plugged in and watched it spin up... but no monitor.
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
I purchased the board on Ebay from someone that took it out of a PC. Could this be the problem? Or do I need to download some type of driver?
PLEASE HELP! The board I'm using does not run Aperture very good at all!

PC videocards do not generally work in macs. If you are technically inclined, you may be able to flash the card with the strangedogs files. If you are not so inclined, you may wish to sell the card and purchase a mac-dedicated card instead. (Unfortunately there are few if any third-party mac-compatible cards for your generation of machine currently.)

Help with timing of sound and buttons

I've been searching the discussion boards and have tried everything I've found and I'm still stuck. Please help! (I'm working in Captivate 5)
Here's the senario - I'm doing a slide before the start of mycaptivate presentation to test that they can hear the audio. (I couldn't find a template for this so I made my own and it's being difficult!)
The user is supposed to click the sound icon, hear sound (see the words You should be hearing sound) and then the presentation is supposed to pause to allow them to choose either "I heard sound" or "I don't hear sound" If they click "I hear sound" the presentation is to continue with a little more audio and explaination about the progress bar (the image pops up in the middle of the additional audio) and then it's to continue on to the actual presentation. If they click "I don't hear sound" it's to show "Check your speaker volume and try again. Click the icon when ready." and allow them to push the icon again. (This should basically start the slide over until they click "I hear sound".
(I've attached the audio to the success comment so I need them to press the buttons to continue)
I have gotten it to work up to where they need to press a the I hear or don't hear sound buttons.
Here are my problems:
1) No matter what I do with the timing or function of the button - I can't get "I don't hear sound" to let me replay the slide. It shows the success quote (Shown in the upper right hand corner) but then stops - How can I make this work?
2) If I push "I hear sound" the sound starts but the slide remains paused. (The progress bar image is supposed to come up in the middle of the audio.)
Here's my current timing.
It doesn't seem to matter what order I put Button 79 (I hear sound) and my I don't hear sound button in or if I make one pause or not. I do need it to pause for them to choose an option. Please help!

I publilshed a couple of articles about advanced actions in CP5.
BTW did you try to spread what you want to achieve over different slides? It will perhaps be easier to achieve.

Problems with flashing MS-6593 (KT3 Ultra2-C)

I wan't to flash my motherbord! I have 2400+ XP procesor (max for the MB)
and use win XP! I did exactly as it's written in the manual! Like this...
"For WinXP, you can make a DOS boot disk. Go to Your Computer, right click drive A:, select Format, select copy system files.
7. When you get the A:\ prompt, type the following sequence:
C: <enter>
cd\test <enter>
C:\test> amifl827 BIOS file
(to save or not to save old BIOS is the user’s decision)"
When I hit enter I got this message...
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Ms Windows applications. itd

after i have done with recording video clips and i replay the video,the phone speaker came out a very noisy sound (is like a bad Radio Frequencies noise)
why or how is this happen ???

yes,the sound appear to be the same too when i play on the pc
the noisy sound came from the loudspeaker outlet,

Need help with problem using sound and vibration examples. question repost

I am generating a wav file using the sound and vibration example vi "SVXMPL_Wav Recorder(DAQmx)" using a ni 7422 board. Then, using the example vi SVXMPL_Getting started with SVT(Simulated)" attempting to play back that file. the wav file will load and play back on the graphs fine but when I click the "Play Wav File" which sends the audio to the computers speaker, I get the error "Cannot recognise sound Format". It plays the shipped example files fine. I can also play the wav files I generate on a Windows audio player. Don't know a lot about the sound and vibration toolkit or wav file formats but need to get these two to work together. Using LV 8.5 and sound and vibration toolkit 4.0. This is a bit of a repost of the same question ask last week but not answered. Thanks

Hi, I'm trying to edit drum sound(got it from Standard Kit) that I input with my MIDI but I have no idea how to make the drum sound higher.( Is it possible anyway? Please help!

Need help with no camera sounds & recording in Captivate 5

I am an experienced user of Captivate 3 & 4, but I'm having lots of problems with Captivate 5. I am working on a Windows 7 OS and have just installed Captivate 5. When I try to record I can't get any camera sounds, even though I have changed my preferences to show them. Also, Captivate seems to be recording erratically, and sometimes it is catching actions, other times it isnt' I am running the program as Administrator and I am very puzzled by this. Normally Captivate has worked like a charm out of the box. Now it seems to be fighting my every step of the way. Am I missing something?
Audio recording seems spotty too. Sometimes it works just fine, other times Captivate just hangs and doesn't really record any sound.
Any help would be appreciated/

First to be sure: did you install the patch released in December (Help, Updates...)? If not try that first of all. You can find details about the issues solved by this patch in this blog post:
Patch for Captivate 5
If this doesn't help, try to clear the cache (Preferences, Global).
Perhaps (not sure) your Preferences folder has become corrupt. It so, try to find it. In Win7 normally it is a folder (Captivate 5) in this path:
\users\<username>\appdata\local\adob
Maybe you will have to change the settings to make this folder visible in Explorer, by default it is in a system folder and invisible. You can delete this folder (while CP is closed) and when you restart CP a brandnew one will be created.

Big problem with on-board sound

I'm thinking that I already know the reason for this, but i want a second opinion!
About a week ago, I moved my computer. I went to plug it in, and when I did, I saw a small spark in the back. When I actually turned it on, the sound had stopped working! I dunno what to do with it. My motherboard is a MSI K8N Neo Platinum. I've updated my audio drivers to Nvidia 4.57 yesterday, but that didn't work either. My speakers are working, as I've tested them with other things.
I've also reset the CMOS, but that didn't work.
Please help!

I had almost the same thing happen to me. Audio was working fine from the back for a few days. I check to see if my front panel connections were working, and sounded fine. After a while, the sound was getting a crackling sound in the headset. I thought something might be out of wack so I rebooted and I havent had sound ever since. I thought it might be related to the front panel, so I disconnected it and replaced the 2 jumpers. Still nothing. All my windows drivers indicated everything was working fine. I have the latest drivers. I tried disabling the soundcard in the bios, rebooting, then reenabling...no difference.
I double checked the wiring on the port connection, and realized I DID have 2 pins criss crossed, the mic in and the ground. But I wouldnt think that would be enough to short out the sound chip. Well, I got fed up and ordered a SB Audigy 2 card to replace it...only to come here and find dozens of threads with the card and this mb...I cant win!

Help with an Older Sound Blaster Audigy Card! Computer freezing on driver upda

Hey everyone,
I'm new to these forums and dont know if anyone still has experience with the older cards.
I've had a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum for about 6 years now and noticed some popping and sometimes the card began to emit a high pitched whining sound. Thus I decided to install the newest drivers (can't hurt can it's)
However, when I finished installing the drivers, my system refuses to start. Sometimes it's at the Windows login screen, sometimes right after.
I finally got something that may be the reason why my system is hanging. I have a message that pops up that says:
Box Name: ReadReg Application :Version 6.0..36
Message: Completing installation of your audio card
??? Please wait.
My computer is now frozen.
Here are my system specs if it helps
P4 2.66Ghz
ASUS P4S800D-X
PNY 6800GT
SB Audigy 2 Platinum
GB Corsair XMS3200C2PT (2x52MB)
Windows XP Pro
DVD+/-RW DL
DVD ROM
After I did a system restore, the sound driver was missing. Said Creative Audigy in the driver section with the yellow exclamation mark. I installed the new drivers again with the same problem.
Any help is welcome!? Thank you for your time and consideration.

I would:
Pull the sound card.
Start up.Enter the BIOS setup utility to make sure your MB recognizes the change.
Save the BIOS
Start again.
If Windows works.
Run a thorough virus scan (I hope you're running some reputable anti-virus software!!!)
Install Service Pack 3.
Re-install the sound card..
I'll bet Windows finds a driver for it that works. If not, run Windows update manual and see if there's a driver update for the card.
If none of the above helps, well... I confess, I reinstall Windows at the drop of a hat and that usually solves all problems. Do it on a Sunday so you can watch football while Windows churns.
Power Quest Dri've image has saved me from the Windows install horror on many occasions. I think Symantec has pulled the program but there must be something similar out there. Buy it. And in the future, remember, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Help with audio and sound tracks

I have a .mov file with audio. I added a sound file I downloaded and it plays fine with QT and I hear both tracks, the recorded audio and music in the background. But when I post to Youtube the added sound doesn't play. How can I combine both tracks into one? I've tried exporting but can't seem to get the added track to play.
Using QT Pro 7.6.4 and Leopard.

In order to use it at YouTube you would required to convert it prior to adding it in your source file to a real "audio" format.
This is why it didn't play after the export and wasn't converted by YouTube.

Problem with cd-rom on kt3 ultra2

hi, i'm having a very weird problem and have no clue what it could be
every time my cdrom has to copy multiple files to the harddisk, it generates errors on reading the files.
i have tried several different ide-cables (also 80-conductor cable), 2 different cdrom-drives who worked fine on another mobo, 3 different hard-drives, 4 different cd-rom's that i've all checked with Fix-It-Utilities and should be completely without errors.
after about 15 attempts with several os's i've managed to install windows xp but with several files missing, causing big instability, freezes on startup and stuff.
the problem with the cdrom is only when it has to copy a lot of data
if anyone has an idea, plz let me know coz i don't know what to try anymore ?(

my ram: 256MB pc2700 ddr sdram from Twinmos
i used memtest, got it at http://ftp://ftp.ulyssis.org/pub/semi-os/memtest/
i put the memory in different slots, tried on 100mhz fsb and on 133mhz and each time it generated errors
i contacted the vendor to see if he'd know any other thing i could try but he just told me to send it over
that's all i can say i guess ...

Need help with web mail sound

Apparently in seup in web mail, one can check the box for a sound to be heard when new mail arrives...ie.."You got mail or something to that effect." Getting info on this subject or any subject is like pulling teeth ..all i get is links that do not answer to my problem. What will it take to get a live person or at the least a response to my question. Also, when I open verizon.net to read or see if I have had any mail, I sign in correctly, and am asked if i forgot my password. I didn't forget, apparently verizon has...so just on a whim, in that same page, I click on the link email and voila, i see my mail...Now, that being said, whats to prevent anyone else to read my mail by doing the same thing? I even resetted the password...and I thought Time warner internet was bad.
