Help, xsl mime type not recognized by ie 5.5

Hey, I've got a page that is doing it's own xml/xsl transforms in javascript. It uses XMLDocument.load( file location), which fails in IE 5.5. I think I've narrowed the problem down to this: If I enter the URL directly to the xsl:
http://(myhost):8889/oe/test.xsl it works fine in ie 6 but fails in 5.5 (I get a "cannot download from xxx" message).
I've tried adding the MIME mapping to the web.xml file and insured that the mime.properties file had an entry for xsl... any ideas?

What is different is that ACR 8.5 includes a slight functional improvement of being able to edit spotting tool areas that LR doesn't have or at least not documented to have, though I'm not convinced this isn't due to enhancement schedules slipping due to the LR team having too much on their plate and an Cloud announcement event that was scheduled months in advance so couldn't slip, though it could be that we're seeing functional improvements in CC 2014's ACR that we'll have to wait for LR6 for.
ACR in CS6 is done in terms of any new functionality, how long camera support continues is questionable. PS CC 2014 continue to get new features. So this alone is a new behavior. While ACR and the DNG converter have and I suspect will continue to be released at the same time, that's not necessarily going to happen with LR which is kind of an odd beast now that we have both CC subscription and perpetual licensing. Currently, ACR has features that LR doesn't. More improvements for ACR are coming and whether they will be released before or at the same time as LR is unknown outside Adobe. Pretty darn sure you will not see functionality in ACR that LR also shares coming out after an LR release but anything is possible. To sweeten subscription, it seems illogical for LR to have a newer feature prior to ACR release. But again, this is all new territory.
Getting back OT, the release of ACR and LR that can support the new Nikon will happen, but when? Could be weeks, could be months. Until then, the OP has no options other than using the Nikon raw converter (or shooting JPEG which as I pointed out is never an issue like these damn proprietary raw files).

  • Weblogic +  jnlp MIME Type not recognised

    Can anyone help, I'm trying to get JWS to run on a machine that is running a Weblogic & Apache server for a large enterprise app. I've added the jnlp mime type to both the httpd.conf & weblogic.properties file. Depending upon where the jnlp file is situated, it either is returned as xml in the case of the Weblogic dir,hte mime type not being recognised or JWS starts and then throws a text.html error, if the the jnlp file is in the Apache htdocs dir. I've read that Weblogic introduced support for jnlp but my version doesn't include it in the config file. Is there a work around or won't JWS work with early versions of Weblogic?

  • Sql type not recognized: 'int unsigned' when I expand table in Dreamweaver

    Dreamweaver warning message - "sql type not recognized: 'int

    This was happening in Dreamweaver MX and now in CS3. The
    pages using these tables are not throwing errors when I test them,
    but each time I expand a table in Dreamweaver, I get these warning

    Hi Bagger and Ken
    With some help from Randy Edmunds at Adobe was able to find a
    solution to this bug.
    *note I am still using DW MX 2004 so there may be some
    variation with your version.
    ANSWER: You need to add the sql type "int unsigned" to the
    dwscriptsServer.js in Dreamweaver's files.
    The file to ammend is [your path to the DW
    root]\Configuration\Shared\Common\Scripts\
    dwscriptsServer.js
    do a search for the alert: "MM.MSG_SQLTypeAsNumNotInMap" and
    then go up from there (it is about line 2059 in the DW MX 2004
    file).
    underneath a["unsignedint"] = 19;
    add a new line a["int unsigned"] = 19; // variation of
    unsigned int
    I then deleted the delete the FileCache.dat (from step #4
    http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_19105)
    and restarted DW.
    That should fix it!
    If that doesn't work then search the DW folders for
    "MM.MSG_SQLTypeAsNumNotInMap" and ammend the sql data types where
    the functions raise the error alert.
    I hope this is helpful!

  • Firefox won't open site - Mime type not being recognized?

    I'm taking over management of a site that hasn't been touched in 5 years or so, to rework it, and find it works fine in IE, but won't open in Firefox. There are .asp pages in the site, but I can't quite get the layout between the asp and html pages - honestly not sure how that works. The home page is (appears to be) html - Firefox gives the popup saying "You have chosen to open (blahblahblah).htm ... which is a: HTML document ... What should Firefox do with this file?..."  Site is here: http://www.sterlingclientservices.com .
    The host guy says no mime type is being sent, yet I see it there in the header. Any insight is greatly appreciated!
    Patrick

    This is not something that can be controlled by DW and is a server-side issue.  If you have a control panel you should be able to set this information on most hosts.  If you have this the application type for HTML documents should be text/html and ASP should be application/x-asp  or text/asp (I can't remember since it's been awhile since I've used ASP).
    If you do not have access to set this up your host would need to configure IIS properly to have this fixed for you.

  • Uploading files Mime Type not correct for Office 2007 default extensions.

    hi all,
    My company has recently moved over to MS Office 2007 and the default extensions for word, excel etc are now .docx, xlsx etc (ie xml based).
    Unfortunately now when we upload files through APEX to the database the MIME TYPE value for these files isn't being recognised and not loadeding correctly into the APEX_APPLICATION_FILES table and subsequently any future retrieval of these files fails.
    I could put some logic inthe up load procedure to look at the filename in APEX_APPLICATION_FILES and hard code in the releavnt mime types but this still causes problems when retrieving the content.
    Has anyone come across this and got a workround? Is it a bug in AE?
    regards
    James
    FYI - using APEX 3.0.2 over 11G.

    I have not any response to my question and not sure if it is in Apex I need to look or the tomcat server that I need to look. I have a useful application to try to show others what Apex can do for our customers to collaborate. However, most of our customers are using office 2007 so, hoping this is possible.
    I am using apex 3.2.0.00.27 if that helps someone to point me where to find more info on being able to have Word 2007 or excel 2007 fire up to open a .docx or .xlss file stored in a table blob column. Word or Excel does fire up to open .doc and .xls files.
    The following is the query for a report selecting the filenames uploaded into a blob column in my table:
    { SELECT s.ID, SUBSTR(s.NAME,INSTR(s.NAME, '/',1,1)+1,length(s.NAME)) SHORT_FNAME, s.SUBJECT
    FROM spp_attachments s
    WHERE s.PROGRAM_ID = :P2_PROGRAMID }
    Below is the stored procedure called from the link on the short_fname column in report query above.

    WHERE id = p_file;
    -- set up HTTP header
    -- use an NVL around the mime type and

    -- application/octect may launch a download window from windows
    owa_util.mime_header( nvl(v_mime,'application/octet'),
    FALSE );
    -- set the size so the browser knows how much to download

  • Repeat request 4 help - iTunes 6.0 not recognizing purchased

    I'm re-posting this question, hoping for help... thanks!
    iTunes 6.0 software not recognizing purchased songs
    ( msg # 1.: Posted Oct 15, 05 9:14 pm )
    Good Evening,
    I had written for help before, but couldn't get the 5.0.1 problem resolved. There was great advice (bnoir, et al), but lack of time and frustration played a factor.
    So I hear Itunes 6.0 is out and I figure it's a fix to the problems people had with the previous version. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't.
    I run iTunes on a Windows XP platform on an IBM computer (from the Dell people). I have a 3rd generation iPod, which has 20 gigs.
    My iTunes shows that I have 5239 songs (some of which are short comedy bits) that I've never had a problem uploading to my iPod before the upgrades (5 and above). Here's what I've done to resolve this problem so far:
    1) Uninstalled Quicktime
    2) Turned off my spyware and virus programs
    3) Downloaded the newest version of Quicktime (standalone application file)
    4) Uninstalled iTunes 5.0.1 version
    5) Restarted the computer
    6) With spyware and virus off, installed quicktime, then iTunes 6.0 version
    Everything seemed to be working well. I suddenly could play music on the newest version with my computer. It didn't freeze, I was thrilled.
    HERE COMES THE PROBLEM:
    Plugged in my iPod to do an update... haven't been able to do so since late August 2005. Got an error message that read
    "Some of the songs in the iTunes music library were not copied to the iPod "Josette's iPod" because your iPod software is too old. Got to www.apple.com/ipod to get the latest iPod software update."
    So now, instead of 5239 songs, my iPod only has 4858. It doesn't look like it downloaded any songs that I had purchased from the iTunes music store. That's 370 songs, none of which are showing. But theres a few more than that (do the math), but not many.
    I did a screenshot of the error message, which I typed out above. I'd send you the shot, but I couldn't figure out how to attach it to this forum.
    Any assistance would be appreciated. I'd love to hear these songs in my car! :-D
    Thanks,
    ~ Josette ~

    Don't know if it makes any difference, but the iTunes software won't let me get into change info in the MY ACCOUNTS area. Says I need to change the computer date to sync up automatically with the internet. I checked the setting, and it does, so that can't be the problem.
    It also says to check the computer's ability to accept cookies. From the internet tools menu, I can see that I'm on Medium security level, and that's not changed since I had iTunes originally.
    I emailed this question to APPLE earlier this evening, but the reply said it would take around 72 hours to answer.
    Don't know if that's related or not... but it's worth adding to the pot.
    Is it worth going back and uploading an OLD version of iTunes? Maybe the 4.? version? (Not that I'd know where to find that, but it's worth asking).
    Bnoir, anyone?
    THanks a bunch!

    I returned the Mac Mini and got an iBook G4 instead.

  • .htaccess and MIME types not working in 3.1

    anyone else noticed that when using a .htaccess file to determine certain mime types safari 3 ignores the .htaccess file and handles the file the way the OS would normally?
    i'm hosting a bunch of 1080p .mov's and I'd prefer if they would just download when clicked on instead of trying to open in a window where they go out of frame.
    i've currently got the addtype set to octetstream, and on safari 2 and firefox they both automatically start to download, but safari 3 tries to open the movie in the browser window.

    I think that it is interesting to note that as I peruse the various threads dealing with 3.1 update problems the majority of complaints seem to be coming from iPhone/Mac combos; based, at least, on the posters signiture.
    For my part, 64bit vista win machine and 3Gs, the update could not have been soother and the phone works better then it did; no app problems, better wi-fi conectivity, faster loading of apps and files.
    I have had, though, considerable problems with Outlook sync, contacts sync and MM sync (enough so that I turned off MM except for iDisk); but most of these are known issues so just need to with it out.
    Seems like Apple could have workedd this stuff out before hand, though.

  • Mime type note set for css with wwv_flow_file_mgr.get_file

    Hello,
    We have an apex application over here that has problems with the mime type of a theme (css) file. The css file works correctly in IE but not in FF or Chrome (because IE check the file extension, but FF seems not do not ..).
    This is the call that is failing
    <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="wwv_flow_file_mgr.get_file?p_security_group_id=33490830277084435&p_fname=theme_3_1.css" />
    in the FF error console it complains about the file being of application/octet-stream instead of text/css and therefore it will not load it.
    I have created a simple local .htm file with
    <html>
    <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="http://xxx.xxx.xx/pls/htmldb/wwv_flow_file_mgr.get_file?p_security_group_id=33490830277084435&p_fname=theme_3_1.css" />
    </html>
    And it loads the file (even though it says it is still application/octet-stream) in FF, but it will not do the same if called from Apex.
    I'm kind of lost here, so any ideas where to look for an explanation/fix ? (Yes, we have the AddType text/css .css in the httpd.conf)
    regards.

    Hi UserXY,
    what connectivity module do you use (Oracle HTTP Server, Embedded PL/SQL Gateway, APEX Listener)?
    Which Browser did you use to upload the css-File?
    I don't know why this happend in your case, but you could try a different browser to upload the file again.
    brgds,
    Peter
