HGrid line detail is returning empty rows

Hi All,
I am working with HGrid component. I have followed OAF Developer Guide information as follows.
1. Created 2 VOs like PoHeaderVO, POLineVO
2. Created VL with HEADER_ID as source attribute and dest attribute
3. Added a HGrid component
4. Added a Tree component as Child to Hgrid
5. Set ViewInstnace and ViewAttribute to nodeDef1
6. Set ancestor name and view link instance name to childNode1
I am able to run the page. It is showing all header detail. When i expand the header details, it showing the respective number of empty rows for line details.
Anybody can suggest me, what is missed?

Hi Pavan,
This could be the case. The function module might be expecting a value converted into its format.
By this, I mean that the function module might be expecting 0012345678 for 12345678 (Where data element of the ID is of type CHAR 10 ).
Please check if it is so.

How to insert an empty row on a matrix with multiple loaded lines?

Hi.
I want to insert an empty row on my form's matrix. Currently I am using the <b>AddRow </b>method, as it is:

But, when the matrix already has some rows (at least 1), the method <b>AddRow </b>inserts the new line as a copy of above line, then, I have to manually clear all cells.
Any idea on this?

If you matrix is bound to a dbDatasource you can insert a record in the dbdataspurce instead of using matrix.AddRow... If not only way to do it is by clearing the row after add

Bc4j:RowScope on a Master Detail page always returns 0 rows for detail

Hi,
I have a problem with a Master Detail page that is called from another page. The Master Detail page has two View Objects, Budgets and Budget Versions. These are linked properly in BC4J and when I use these VOs together I can navigate through the Budgets (master) and the Budget Versions (details) are populated correctly.
However, I want to navigate to this page from another page which lists all possible Budgets. I pass the key of the selected Budget to the Master Detail page and the correct Budget is displayed, BUT the Budget Versions are NOT displayed - I get 0 rows returned.
The mechanism I use to pass the selected Budget ID to my Master Detail page is:

Is the rowScope element on the Budget VO interfering with the Budget Version VO?

I tried to create a comparable set of two pages and initially ran into the same problem. I just realized that my issue (which I hope is yours too) is that the rootAppModule name was different across my two pages. This led to each page having its own application module instance, so the currency was different on each page.
By changing all of my pages to use the same application module name (in the registryDef, in the appModuleScope tags in the page, and in the findAppModule tags in the handlers), I resolved this problem.
My event handler to go to the master/detail page from the master page, FYI, looks like this:

Multi line details row

Morning all,
I am trying to build a master detail form and spread each detail line over a couple of rows (to save lots of horizontal scrolling). I have read many discussions on this topic but I have been unable to get it working under Apex 4.2. I have created a Named Column template and using the Row Templates section split each row across two lines. The problem I have found is that when rendering, Apex takes a copy of the row template and sets its style to display:none presumably so that when you hit add row it can use this hidden row to build subsequent rows. However, Apex only hides the first <tr> tag so you end up with part of the row being rendered every time. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Actually, I wouldn't say that addRow needs changing. It's the tabular.init function which is causing the issues.
In short, these are some the things that matter:
<ul>
<li>when the tabular form is rendered, the first row (first tr element) has an id of type "#init_row_"+pRegionId
<li>The tabular form is set to the parent of this element (tabular.gTabForm). This will be the element to which new rows will be appended.
<li>The tabular form background is set to the css property "background-color" of the td elements. This is used nowhere I think.
<li>The init tab row (tabular.gTabFormInitRow) is set to a concatenation of beforeRow + the #init_row + afterRow. These before and afterRow strings are parameters to the init function.
<li>After that the #init_row is removed (page load, region refresh)
<li>A beforesubmit handler is set to also remove this element (not sure when the element would be there at this point, but i suppose it has to be possible?)

AddRow actually just takes the constructed gTabFormInitRow element and appends this to gTabForm.
So basically, if the init could be 'fixed' then I believe all should be well. If only you could define the 'initial row' code in a template or something, then this wouldn't be much of an issue. It's not sufficient to call the init yourself, because the looking up of the init_row is hardcoded in it.
I just checked on apex.oracle.com and ran a page with a default tabular form on it. I don't get the "display: none" style, i can't see this happening, and the tabular form init code has no "hiding" in it, only removing. In this case this should mean that of your first "row" with multiple rows in it, the first tr element would get tagged with init_row_ and then be removed, while the other row(s) remain. And "Add Row" will not work as expected.
What is hard however is determining automatically which rows are the 'first' rows. In a regular tabular form the first row is alway the init row, and this is visible when you inspect the gTabFormInitRow too as all ids are "_0000". As far as I see this would be the only way to identify the init rows, except for the first row.
It's probably possible to get this to work with some javascript/jQuery by executing some code before, to catch the init rows properly, and after the tabular form init call, to remove the init rows correctly.
Just as highly customized as the other options probably.

PowerPivot 2013 | Drill to Details returns all rows

When double-clicking on a measure, or a value within a powerpivot pivot table, the drill to details sheet returns all the rows in the dataset.
Is this normal behavior? Is there a workaround for this?

The drillthrough should respect all filter context in the pivot table, thus it should only be returning those values that make up the subset determined by the table filters, slicers, and whichever field labels make up the row and column filters.
Any filtering logic you have written into the measures themselves will not be maintained for the drillthrough.

I tried it, as well. The line breaks were respected in the PowerShell console, Programmer's Notepad, and Word; they weren't in Notepad.
You are using a Unicode file. Locale is what?
If you just want notepad compatible line breaks then do this:
del file.txt ; "$env:computername`r`n`r`n`r`n$env:userdomain" | add-content file.txt ;notepad file.txt
Look in hex to see that `n is ^L or 0xA and is only one character. CrLf is 0xD 0xA - two characters.
My programmers editors and VS all understand a single ^L as a line break so does PowerShell. Only DOS/Notepad and other utilitis don't understand this..

How can I create an empty row on a #TempTable based on an input parameter

So if my Line of Business is 'MC' or 'MG', I have to go over to Oracle and get its data accordingly. Then, when I create my final report result set, I think I'll want to UNION in that result set if my Parameter is 'MC' or 'MG'. I don't think I can UNION
based on the value of the Parameter. So my thought process was to create an empty row on my #TempTable so when I UNION and my parameter is NOT 'MC' or 'MG' then it will have nothing to UNION in. My struggle is how do I create an empty row in my #TempTable
if my parameter is NOT 'MC' or 'MG'

If I add an ELSE, it always comes back and tells me the #TempTable_Market_Prominence_Member_Data already exists. As if it's creating it regardless of the Top IF.

Explicitly creating the temp table will offer below benefit in this case.
The ELSE statement is no longer needed, if the no rows get inserted into that table, it has nothing to union an empty table.
With the column datatype defined, you can avoid such conversion error

Query executed within a plug-in script returns 0 rows, although data exists

I created a plug-in script for algorithm entity: Service Quantity Rule.
The script calls a business service that I created using query zones. The query returns the values of the bill segment (ci.bseg.bseg_id and ci_bseg.closing_bseg_sw) that is created while running a bill manually. The zone receives the bseg_id as a parameter.
The problem is that when I execute the business service within the plug-in script the business services returns 0 rows even though the data is actually being stored in the database.
The script calculates some SQI values and saves it to the bill segment based on a response that is received from MDM (I'm using the usage request object).
Steps:
1.- Create Bill. The bill segment is created in error as it is waiting for the bill determinants to be sent from the MDM. If I test the zone with the bseg_id (as a parameter) of the newly created bill segment it works fine.
2.- We send a message from the MDM to CC&B. The message is received and processed and it gets to a point when the usage updates the bill segment.
3.- After the bill segment has been updated with the values from the usage request object it starts executing the plug-in script.
4.- I obtain the bseg_id from the usage request and use the business service (passing the bseg_id as a parameter) and it returns no result.
5.- The process finishes and if test the zone with the bseg_id (as a paramter) of the billing segment it works fine.
So apparently during the execution of the script after the billing determinants are received from MDM I can't have access to the Bill segment that was created, even if the physically the record exists in the database (CI_BSEG).
I also tried instantiating an object related with the bill segment and got the same result.
Any idea or clue of what is happening?

Bug Report: ResultSet.isLast() returns false when queries return zero rows

When calling the method isLast() on a resultset that contains zero (0) rows, false is returned. If a resultset contains no rows, isLast() should return true because returning false would indicate that there are more rows to be retrieved.

For your information, I discovered this problem from
running a query that did access an actual DB table.
Try it and let me know.I did say I was only guessing, and yes, I did try it (after I posted my reply, and before I read yours). And I did check the query plan for the queries I tried -- to verify that they were actually doing some database "gets".
In any case, the usual way that I determine whether a "ResultSet" is empty is when the very first invocation of method "next()" returns 'false'. Is that not sufficient for you?

Query against materialized view from stored procedure brings back empty row

I have a stored procedure that runs a query against a materialized view. When I run the query outside the SP it works just fine. When I change the MV to a table name, the SP works. When I change it back to the MV i get an empty row. Any ideas? The code is below:

DECODE is not working in WHERE clause when subquery returns more rows

I want to write a query on CCENTERS table(Script given below) and expect the following result:
1. When I pass a value of 0 for ID, It returns all the rows given in the table.
2. When I pass a value other than 0, It returns the row for the given value as well as all its child records.
CCENTER has parent-child relationship in ID and BASE column. I am using a query with DECODE function. but DECODE function in WHERE clause is not capable of handling sub-query with multiple rows.

EntryProcessor invokeAll returning empty ConverterMap{}

I am trying to write a custom entryprocessor and whatever I return from the invokeAll method in the entryprocessor, I am always getting a empty ConverterMap{}. The code for the entryprocessor is as below:

The processAll method on the Coherence nodes is invoked but if the print the results on the client side it return empty ConverterMap{}
On the other hand, if I invoke process method of CustomEP as below:
Map results=(Map) cache.invoke(AlwaysFilter.INSTANCE, new CustomEP());
I get the desired results. Please help me with the details why it is happening this way when the return type of the processAll is a Map.

the process() return value object, or the entry value objects in the map returned by processAll() can be arbitrary objects. So you just return a map from process(), and return a map as the entry value in the result map from processAll().
The AbstractAggregator has a fairly badly documented contract in the Javadoc (does not properly cover the values received in different scenarios for invocation). You should probably read the section about it in the Coherence book, that explains leveraging AbstractAggregator in significantly more details. It also happens to be in the sample chapter, but I recommend reading the entire book.
I am not sure about the issues relating to posting links to PDFs on Packt's webpage, so I won't do that. Please go to Packt's webpage (http://www.packtpub.com ), look for the Coherence book there and download the sample chapter (or order the book).
In short, all 3 to-be-implemented methods (init(), process(), finalizeResult()) in AbstractAggregator are called both on the server and on the caller side. You can distinguish which side you are on from looking at both the passed in fFinal boolean parameter and the m_fParallel attribute tof the aggregator instance.
There are 3 cases:
- non-parallel aggregation processing extracted values (m_fParallel is false, I don't remember what fFinal is in this case),
- parallel aggregation storage side processing extracted values (if I correctly remember, m_fParallel is true, fFinal is false),
- parallel aggregation caller side processing parallel results (m_fParallel and fFinal are both true).
Depending on which side you are on, the process method takes different object types (on server side it receievs the extracted value, on caller side it receives a parallel result object instance).
You SHOULD NOT override any of the other methods (e.g. aggregate() which you mentioned).
The advantage of this approach is that the AbstractAggregator subclass instance can pass itself off as a parallel-aggregator instance.
You should put together a temporary result in a member attribute of the AbstractAggregator subclass, which also means that it will likely not be thread-safe, but at the moment it is not necessary for it to be thread-safe either as it is called only on a single-thread.

one important thing is that when i drag dynamic vo in jspx page running fine. but when i used it on fragment page(jsff) then Null poiner exception occur.
