OK, solved my own problem, but am posting here in case someone else has the same problem. It totally does not make sense, especially considering that it stopped after I reinstalled Lion, but the good thing is I have my files back.
I scoured the web and found a lot of other people are having the same problem. Most of them didn't have a clue how to fix it. This discussion was the most helpful to me: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2569766?start=30&tstart=90
So, I went to the WD page and followed the instructions. The first suggestion was to plug it directly into a wall, because it may not be getting enough power from a power cord. I did this and it fixed the problem. Who would have guessed?

Not direct with the FaceBook app, but there are some 3rd party photo uploading apps that work in conjunction with FaceBook allowing the upload of multiple photos at once. Check an app named iLoader for this.

On the printer driver documentation, Page 5, in the Imaging setting, although the options are not specifically shown, there should be an option on that screen of the print driver to click and select "B/W" or 'black and white' or 'grayscale' or 'monochrome' as Print Mode rather than the "Full Color" option shown in the illustration below.
You access these settings once you have selected 'Print' from an app.
If necessary, you might need to click on the 'Down arrow' button next to the printer name (OS X 10.6), or 'Show Details' button at the bottom of the print dialog box (OS X 10.8) to see additional settings.

Oh alright -- I manage to resolve my own stupidity quite abruptly, actually.
Shortly after posting this, I annoying took another gander at iTunes Store settings. To my own idiocy, I must have unchecked "Show iTunes purchases in the cloud" at some point. In my defense, though, the availability of songs in iCloud threw me off quite a lot.

Each line needs to have it's own login and password for managing ringbacks and ringtone purchases, and backup and cloud services.
Register each number on the account for it's own username and password, and make the ringback purchase under that login. If it's already purchased under a different number, call customer service and they can straighten it out for you.

You can sync PDF files onto your iPad. Just drag them into iTunes - they will then show up as books and you can select which books you want to synch to your iPad.

Apparently not. I have both an iPhone 4 and an iPad thatbive upgraded to iOS 5.0.1. While it is reported that if you click on the attached video file and hold that you will be presented a "Save Video" option, all I see is "Quick Look". Thinking it might have been GoodReader, I unknow installed GoodReader but still no option. I wonder if this yet another feature in iOS 5 that doesn't work on upgrades

I have OSX 7.2 Lion but cannot figure out how to setup a signature on apple mail for my emails.

I just converted to OSx 7.2 Lion and starting using the applle mail instead of Entourage because I got a I phone 4S so I wanted to use the cloud. But I can not figure out how or if you can setup a signature to use when emailing. I had it with Entourage and its kinda nice for business so you can put your company name or title after you name without having to type it everytime. Anyone know if you can do it in Lion?

It's possible that the W2 you used was set up with the EchoSign service. It allows you to draw a signature with a mouse. This is available as well with more recent versions of Reader (10.1+) if the form isn't Reader-enabled or secured. You will see this in the Sign panel when the document is opened in Reader.
You can otherwise get an EchoSign account and upload your document and send it to your customers through the EchoSign service. You can establish a free account to see how it works.

AddThis - I get "unauthoriozed to access service" b/c I accidentially hit a lockout button and I cannot figure out how to get back my site authorization for this computer.

I am certain I accidentally hit a button that said something about restricting access. It happened fast. I now cannot send email from sites or use AddThis to send things to others. I am not a sophisticated user but have gone through the Privacy and Security settings on Mozilla and can't find where I can restrict or unrestrict my access to this feature. When I try, I get a message that I am "unauthorized to access this service". Many thanks - I know is is simple, I just don't know where to find it.

Photo Stream is not a respository for archiving photos. It is a cloud storage device that will store the last month or last 1000 photos taken by any device on the same Apple ID, and then will "share" those photos with all other devices that have Photo Stream turned on,and that are logged onto the same Apple ID.
iCloud backups will contain all of the photos that were on your camera roll the last time you backed up your device.
If you have photos outside of the Photo Stream parameters, and they are not all on your current camera roll, then you have no way to retrieve them unless you have imported them to the computer you sync with or have uploaded them to some other cloud service like DropBox.

If you are referring to any photos in your iCloud back up, you can't view them, your back up is for restoring your device only.

I used to be able to save all open tabs to a folder in Bookmarks, but cannot figure out how to do that in Firefox 4.0.

Older versions of Firefox allowed the user to save all open tabs to a folder in Bookmarks with one touch (not laboriously bookmarking each tab), so if Firefox did not remember your tabs when re-opening your browser after closing down for the night, you could at least re-open each tab if you'd been clever enough to save them to a Bookmarks folder. I still have my Bookmarked folders full of tabs from previous months, so I know I'm not imagining this useful Bookmark function.
I cannot find this function, Save All Tabs (I think that's what it was called,) under Bookmarks anymore.
