It's not likely to re-connect to a network lying on the ground somewhere and getting rained on, it would be really great if I could see that map again so I could use it's last known location to find it.  Kind of pointless to have a 24 hr killswitch deadline.  If I had known I would have taken a screen-shot while I still had access to the information.  Since I lost the phone at Canada's Wonderland (which is now closed for the season) I don't have access to the location where I lost the phone (under a roller-coaster probably), and so I wanted to send the Lost And Found people a screen-shot of it's last known location, but I guess I can't do that now.  (Apple are big jerks)

  • Hi, my phone was stolen a few days ago and I was waiting for it to come online to track the last known location where it was turned on. Now that my phone has been locked but i cant seem to find the last location it was online. I need the last location

Hi, my phone was stolen a few days ago and just a few days ago the phone was online and it automatically locked itself since I've put it under lost mode and the thief probably switched off the phone immediately so that I cant locate it. Is it possible for me to have the last known location where he/she turned on the phone so that I can track it down from the last location? Thank you

    Correct.
The only way to locate/disable/erase any lost/stolen iPhone/iPod Touch is through Find My Phone or a similar app. However, this requires that Find My Phone be setup/activated, on your phone, before it was lost/stolen. You would then login at iCloud.com & try to locate it. This requires the phone be turned on & have an Internet connection. There is no other way to locate a lost/stolen iPhone. Apple can't/won't help you, nor will your carrier. Report the loss to the Police, your carrier & Insurance company. Change all of your passwords.
If your carrier offers Blacklisting & they Blacklist the phone, it will be unusable as a phone.
If locked with a passcode, and running iOS 7.0, then phone cannot be activated or the passcode removed without knowing your Apple iD/Password. It will be nothing but a useless paperweight.
If not running iOS 7.0, the phone can be forced into recovery mode & restored.

If you are receiving a messages that says the maximum number of free iCloud accounts has already been created I'm afraid you won't be able to create a new account on your phone.
Each device can only create a certain number of iCloud accounts.  Once they have been created you cannot create a new one.  You also can't delete one of the accounts to allow you to create a new one.  All you can do is either re-use one of the accounts previously created or create a new account to use on another iOS device (running iOS 5 or higher) or Mac (running OS X Lion or higher), if you have one.

  • How do I contact support to find the last known location of my iPhone?

    Hi,
I have lost my cellphone.  I need to email support because I do not have a phone to call them with.  I cannot seem to find their email address.
My problem is that I lost my cellphone and I was unable to find it with Findmyiphone app.  I know it was online because it was not off when i lost it.  Now it is off and I am wondering if they could tell me what its last location was. I have been looking for it everywhere. This is the second time that the Findmyiphone app has not worked.  Do I need to be right next to my device for it to work? thanks for any help.

  • How can i see the last known location of my iphone

I lost my iphone recently and have then tried to look at the location of it on find my iphone. I did not do this within the first 24 hours of when it probably ran out of battery but I know that it was all set up right. Is there any way that I can get the map of where it was last located as the battery went towards the critical level.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
    Many Thanks

    Unfortunately not.

  • Hi is there any way of knowing what location my find my phone was turned off or last known location thnks

hi is there any way of knowing where my find my phone was turned off or its last location thnks

No. Apple can do nothing. For the future there are apps that will periodically email you the device's location (if connected to internet)

  • IPhone 5 is in lost mode but doesn't show last known location

HI there. My iPhone 5 was stolen a couple of weeks ago and it finally got put into Lost mode today. The problem is that it doesn't show the last known location of the phone! I thought it had to since it had to connect to get online to get put in Lost mode and to show location? Any help?

    Hello townout
It all depends on the situation, but if it entered into Lost Mode for only a brief moment, then your iPhone may have gone offline after that and will not show a location. The phone would still need to be connected to either a cellular network or Wi-Fi network to be tracked.

  • TS4006 Is there a way to get a device's last known location (via iCloud), beyond the 24-hour mark?

Lost an iPad 1 but for reasons that are too long to explain (leave it that we are traveling at the moment), didn't realize we'd lost it for 10 days. Trying to back track to figure out where we lost it but for some reason iCloud only provides prior location for 24-hours. Obviously we are beyond that point. I am wondering if there is a way to get the last known location of a device beyond that 24-hour window?
    Thanks. Much appreciated.

Unfortunately, Find my phone doesn't keep a location history.

  • Lost iPhone 5, Battery Dead, Last Used 10hrs Ago, Not Showing Last Known Location?

I lost my iphone 5 and now the battery is dead. I last used it 10 hours ago, but iCloud is not showing it's "last known location" - it just says it's offline. iCloud is supposed to show it's last known location for 24 hours. How can I find it's last known location if I know it was used just 10 hours ago?

So, the conclusion of my story is: I immediately logged into iCloud from my computer as soon as I noticed it was missing. I put my phone into 'Lock Mode' which allowed me to apply a passcode and message on the screen instructing the finder to call my friend's #. 4 days later, my friend got a phone call - a guy who tried to restore and activate it for his own use discovered it was impossible without my newly applied passcode, and he decided to heed the message I had displayed. He claims he bought it for cheap off craigslist, but I think he found it, tried to activate it, couldn't, and felt guilty. The happy ending is he agreed to meet me and hand back over my phone. Unbelievable!
BUT - there is no reason why it should have not displayed the last known location when I initially checked online. My Find My iPhone was turned on, and it should have worked, but it didn't. It simply said it was offline even though it was well within the 24 hour time period of when I last had it in my possession. So fortunately, the LOCK MODE was enough to deter the would be new owner from going through with trying to sell, hack, or activate it.

  • No "Last Known Location" for MacBooks?

My MacBook was stolen, and I turned on the lock option in "Find my Mac".  I got a notification last night in the middle of the night that the computer had been locked. Obviously whoever stole it tried to use it.  But I can't get a location because by the time I got the notification, they had turned it off, or disconnected it.  So I know it's locked, but that doesn'thelp the police find it, or catch the theif.  Is there a way to look up the "last known location" for a macbook?  There SHOULD be!

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
"Find my iPad" will show the last known location for 24 hours, however it will only show this location if the iPad has been located during this time.

  • Lost Ipod  wondering if i can see the Last tracked location

    need help

If you set up Find My iPod on it before it was lost you may be able to track it on icloud.com as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmfc0f2442.  The last known location is displayed for up to 24 hours.  After that the map is cleard until it can be located again, if ever.

  • Recover IP address to locate last known location on a stolen iphone

My iphone was stolen how can I track the last known location before it went offline

If it was registered with Find My Phone, then it would show the last location for a period of 24 hours, only.
What To Do If Your iDevice Is Lost Or Stolen
    iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad
If you activated Find My Phone before it was lost or stolen, you can track it only if it is connected to the Internet by Wi-Fi or cellular. What you cannot do is track your device using a serial number or other identifying number. You cannot expect Apple or anyone else to find your device for you. You cannot recover your loss unless you insure your device for such loss. It is not covered by your warranty.
If your iPhone, iPod, iPod Touch, or iPad is lost or stolen what do you do? There are things you should have done in advance - before you lost it or it was stolen - and some things to do after the fact. Here are some suggestions:
