Hi, imessages won't send from my macbook pro. I am still able to recieve them on mac. I am also able to send and receive on iphone. However on mac every time i press send (enter/return) it disappears, with no red '!' or anything. Any help?

Triple check the Outgoing Mail server info that you entered in your Mail account. If that area says the info is optional enter the outgoing mail server and your password anyway. Also if you have more than one email account check the server that is selected for the GoDaddy account and make sure it's the correct server for the account.

You are awesome and already a step ahead! The logs are blank, because by default they are off. If its necessary to turn them on the directions on, instructions of how to to this are at the end.
To check if they are both on the updated version, its possible to check by going to accounts.firefox.com to see if you are logged in. If so, both are updated. If not, how to update: sign in at that address to be on the new one.
Toggling the sync may jumpstart it too. Removing the account and adding it back starts a fresh sync, or Tools > Sync Now.
* How do I turn on sync logs:
# Open about:config and turn on: services.sync.log.appender.file.logOnSuccess and services.sync.log.logger.engine.bookmarks
# Restart Firefox and look at: about:sync-log
# Logs and error messages will be located here

It sounds like the fan but this is the first time I hear it in the past 6mths using this Mac. If its the fan, shouldn't the sound be there all the time and not intermittent?

I'm logged in to sync with the most up-to-date version (I think) on both computers, but the bookmarks from my macbook pro will not copy over to the firefox bookmarks on my mac. I've tried about:sync-log, because I saw on another solution that it might give information, but all that comes up it: { } So I am thinking that none of it is working. Please help!

I bought a MacBook pro unibody a1286 model faulty off eBay and am attempting to resserect it. it came without a battery, HDD or charger. I have bought all 3 however no harddrive is installed yet as it hasn't arrived.
The logic board required replacing so I have done this, I noticed a pin sized hole in the keyboard ribbon cable when doing the replacement.
My question is, do I need the harddrive in for the laptop to function relatively normally? I've tried putting the OSX Lion disc in to see if I can get any activity but it won't load, just makes disc drive noises. The laptop gets very hot as the fans don't appear to activate although they do work.
The keyboard backlight also doesn't light up whether this is due to the hole I don't know. It does power on an chime and I can get to a screen with a cursor if I hold ALT, any further information would be greatly appreciated.

This is where you would install OS X, so yes, you need a hard drive.

i can't seem to long into my imessage account on Bonjour or google. Although my imessage is working on my iphone and ipad. I changed my password and Im know for sure my password is working correctly. Please help.

This could be that you changed the password for the Apple ID and were prompted on the iPhone to re-enter it but have not changed it on the Mac version.
It could be that this is not actually the same Apple ID as on the iPhone but the iPhone is not longer listing the second email.
I have an older email that I uses as my Main Apple ID.
I used this to create an iCloud account.
It linked the Older Apple ID to the iCloud @me.com name
I can access iTunes, the App store and post here using either "Name" but the same password.
On the other hand FaceTime and Messages regards them as two separate names.
I use the @me.com on one iPhone and the main Apple ID on another.
I declined when asked with the iOS 6 update to include all the iPhone Numbers and IDs on the same "Account" on the Mac.
(this keeps the iMessages on the to phone separate.)
I would try going to Messages > Preferences > Accounts > iMessages account and check the account is Enabled.
If it is use the Sign Out Button to delete the Apple ID then re-add it.
