Do you have a Cluster configured in weblogic environment?
There could be different reasons, but first thing you may want to check for a WLS cluster is if you have configured the listen address properly, especially when you have Load balancer in between the Admin server machine and the Managed Server machine.
please execute the following steps:
Go into the Weblogic Admin Console
Set the managed server Listen Address to its local IP
Restart the managed server
Retest the issue
Migrate the solution as appropriate to other environments

Error While creating Application server connection

I am a newbie to SOA suite . I have installed Oracle XE Database , Oracle Jdeveloper 10.1.3.3.0.3 and Oracle SOA Suite 10g (10.1.3.1) ( file name soa_windows_x86_
101310_disk1.zip) on my windows XP machine
Now I created a "Hello World Bepel Process '" . For deploying it I was trying to create an application server connection . I am not sure that I need to install anymore things or not .
Here are the steps which happened while I was trying to make connection to application server.
1> Connection Name : Gave as "AppServerConnection1"
Connection Type as "Standalone OC4J 10g 10.1.3"
2> UserName as : oc4jadmin
Password : Gave my password
3> Hostname : localhost
RMI Port was coming as 23791 as default ( Please note that I checked opmn folder and tried to use the RMI from the xml file too)
4> While testing I was getting error as "For input string: "23791home"
Not sure if i need to install anything ( Probably Application Server ) more .
Please let me know what I need to do and if i need to install anything else where will I find the file ?

When choosing the connection you need to select the connection as Oracle Application Server 10.1.3 not Standalone OC4J 10g 10.1.3

purchase order (PO) numbers during sales order entry. When you select A in
this field, SAP gives a warning message during sales order creation if another sales
document for same customer with the same PO number exists already. Leave this
field blank if you do not want SAP to check for duplicate PO numbers.

How can I change the logo of default application server

I am in 10g environment. Whenever I open my application in browser I see a splash screen "Oracle Application Server Form Services ...".
Can I change this splash screen with the my own.

Yes, you can.
The GIF file must be under a directory where Oracle can read, like the %ORACLE_HOME%/Java directory. And you only specify the file name, not the full path.

Establish the connection

I am using oracle 10g on winXP. Sometimes I can't establish the connection with db ... I am getting error:
The network adapter could not establish the connection: vendor code 17002.
then I restart my notebook and after that I have no error.
I connected to database on this machine around 100-200 times and had about 10-15 times this situation.

Could you please provide all value you pass to the connection properties on the connection creation panel? First of all, you should choose "Generic JDBC" as the connection type in order to use BDB SQL JDBC driver.

I am using Jdeveloper 10.1.3.3. As my soa environement is clustered and we have 2 nodes on server.
While create application server connection jeveloper is giving error as : **Bad OPMN server host address*. I am able to accesss application using mozila or internet explorer. Will it provide different host name while soa is installed in clustered environment. Please help me in this.

Are you behind a proxy in Firefox or IE?
If so try to give the same proxy and the proxy avoidance IP's in JDeveloper proxy configuration.
If server couldnot be communicated from Jdev then this will be the first place i will look into .

the line length is 1028 characters.But in application server i am not able to see whole line.it is showing only some data and reamaining data is not coming.

ARD only works with Windows computers if the Windows computer is running VNC server software. Even then it can only control and observe. Do you have this installed?

Using oracle (services in manual) following message appears Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost:1158.

when I use oracle 11 and have it set in automatic (in services) it operates properly. (after restart) When I have it in manual (in services) i get the message 'Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost:1158.'
We use the computer for various instructors but only one uses Oracle. With oracle in auto it takes for ever to log in (2 mins or more), when it is in manual it takes 10 secs for log in.

Windows performed an automatic update on my PC this morning. Now, Firefox does not work other than in SAFE mode. I get "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server..." I downloaded and reinstalled the latest version of Firefox and get the same error message. IE works. MS Outlook works. What did Windows do to me this time?

You can find the connection settings in Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select "No Proxy" if the default "Use the system proxy settings" setting doesn't work.
