Hiding Child table form

Guys ,
I have a requirement where in user fill in data in the parent form and then i need to populate the child table data and add it automatically , w/o making it visible to end user .
Are there any workarounds for this ?
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

You can have a task run on the create, or off of a form field update trigger to manipulate data in the child table. If the user has access to the tables though, you can set their writes to the child table to not have rights to to the child table. I don't know if you can truely hide it, but you should be able to set the read/update/delete privelegs for that user group.

  • Duplicate Entry in Child Tables in AD Process Form on triggering multipleAP

    hi all,
    I have a scenarion in which I have to provision AD Group Membership, for addition of each role to User.
    so I have created 5 Access policies, 5 roles and mapped AD Group in each access policy.
    The roles are comming from trusted source seperated by a string tokenizer.
    I have java code which will trigger and assign the role memberhsip to user, one after the other. iterating with the string tokenizer(;)
    The problem I see is, I see multiple entries of AD Groups in the process form for each group.
    If I add 3 roles to the user, I am seeing 6 entries in the AD Process form. Duplicate row for each and every row. sometimes i see 3 entries for each row. and 1 entry for each row.
    If I add the role memberships manually, by searching, then I dont see any problem with the AD child form.
    and also If I add a single group membership I dont see any problem with the AD Child form.
    I suspect that the event handler tcEvaluateAccessPolicies which is there in the post update is trying to add the duplicate entries as still the AD Group membership which is triggered for the first time is not yet finished by evaluating the access policies again.
    any such experiences? thoughts? work arounds?
    my oim environment is OIM11.1.1.3.0 on weblogic server.

    I have always coded these checks into my custom code whenever i maninuplate child table data. When adding, i always check the existing and when deleting, i always check if the value exists that i'm removing. I would suggest you write a piece of code that does the same and keep it in your library of re-usable code.
    You could try going to the database and making the field for the name a unique field. I don't know what the outcome will be from doing so.

  • Forms Designer - Unable to remove Child Table from the form

    Hello,
    While testing adding additional attributes, I have assigned an additional child table to the form. However I am not able to remove it. I get an error message: "This version has been made active. Add/Update/Delete not allowed."
    I tried creating new version and making it active to remove 'active' status from the form I modified, but still getting the same error. What am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance.

    creating new version and making it active to remove 'active+'
    Make new version then remove child form and then make version active..
    You are making version active b4 removing child table.
    Don't change the sequence which I have written above.

  • Delete the parent records and child table records at a time

    hi all;
    I am facing the pbm like to delete the all records in child table and corresponding records in parent table at a time. so I want to delete the all the records in child table and corresponding parent records in parent table by using single SQL query. plz help me
    Thanks in advance

    You want to use one single SQL statement to delete the child records in a table and the corresponding master records in the master table??
    That's not quite possible with a single SQL, of course unless you are talking about Oracle Forms, where you have a relation and set the delete behavior to Cascading, like said in the above posts.

  • View cluster table child table calling problem!

    Hi All,
    I have created a cluster table with one table as header and one as item...

    if so how to create new entries....

    I don't know any direct transaction for your purpose, but you can use this program RSTXSCRP to download your form into the local file and than you can open it to view.

  • Insert Record with Parent/Child Tables doesn't work with Oracle - unlike AC

    Hi,
    I just Migrated a MS Access 2010 Database to an Oracle 11g Backend with the SQL Developer Tool.
    The Migration went fine, all the Tables and Views are migrated.
    I'm working with MS Access as Frontend.
    The application has some Datasheets with Subdatasheets with Parent/Child Relationship. (1-n Relationship)
    After changing to Oracle, it's not possible, to Insert a new Record in a Subdatasheet I always get the following Error Message:
    "The Microsoft Access database engine cannot find a record in the table 'xxxx' with key matching field(s) 'zzzzz'"
    It used to work perfect with the MS Access Backend, do I need a trigger which first adds the child Record ?
    Or what should I do?
    Thank you

    Hi Klaus,
    Thanks for your answer. I still haven't solved my problem. The only way would be to use a singel 1:n Relationship, but in fact I need a n:m Relationship.
    I tried the same scenario with a new Access Application, same result.
    To clearify my problem.
    Goal: Parent Form with Parent Records, Linked Child Form with Child Records in a Datasheet View => Insert of a NEW Child Record.
    I have 3 Tables (table1 = Parent tabel, table2 = Child Table, table12 = n:m Tabel with PK and two FK)
    The Recordsource of the Parent Form is Tabel1
    The Recordsource of the Child Form is Table2 joined with Table12.
    In my Old Access Project, Access Triggered the Insert and filled Table12 with the NEW PK of Table2.
    It seems like Access can't do that anymore....
    I'm pretty desperate and I'm sure it is just a litte thing to fix.....

  • Child table foregin key contrain violation

    Hi ,
    1-I have a form containing parant and child table component
    child table component becomes visible changes base on drop down present on form
    After typing Id , drop down is change ..on its listener createchildtable row is created progarmmatically.
    the form gets saved.
    2-but after competing all record if i change the first field ID on parent table component and save i get child contrain violation error
    What i had observerd that after 2 step my child table view object get current row becomes null
    please help

    You are deleting "parent" rows.
    I am wondering about the locking of "child" table Message. Especially if your query plan shows spools (as noticed by Kev). Theoretically, it is possible that the spool has collected all information, then releases the locks on Message and starts
    deleting rows from MessageData. If a "first" "child" row is added to Message for an existing MessageData row, then the delete of the corresponding no-longer-orphaned "parent" will fail.
    If this is the case, then you have a choice to make. Which way do you want to resolve the problem? Do you want the insert to be blocked and possibly fail, or are you content with failure of your batch delete?
    If you want the insert to be blocked, you could add locking hints to the Message table in the delete query, such as WITH (UPDLOCK, HOLDLOCK).

  • Child table data Recon is not happening

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement to create a custom scheduler in OIM11g, to generate recon events.
    -I have one parent field - which is 'required' in the RO recon mapping
    - Rest 5 fileds are together as one in a child table and again mentioned in RO recon field mappings
    While I am able to generate the recon event, but have not been able to pass the child table data/rows, as together, to the child table data in the recon.
    *********Also I am able to pass child data and generate an event, if I create 5 child tables- one for each field linked to the parent form by using the following methods:
    reconciliationOperationsIntf.createReconciliationEvent(resObjName, usrAttributes,false);
    reconciliationOperationsIntf.addMultiAttributeData()
    reconciliationOperationsIntf.providingAllMultiAttributeData()
    ******However my requirement is to have only one child table- with all the 5 fields as rows in that only one child table (whose recon data then should come in recon event).
    ******I am getting the following error frequently when I am trying to do solve this issue, by using reconciliationOperationsIntf methods
    "Oim Child Table Name is null based on child mapping <fieldname> "
    Kindly tell what approach should be taken to solve this issue. Any general code for the same, posted will be a great help.
    Also tell me if the above issue is some configuration issue with recon mappings or something else.
    Regards

    Hi Suren,
    I am creating recon profile whenever I am doing configuration changes .
    I have mapped the child table--- inside RO-> Object Reconciliation mapping--> Add Field
    I am giving any name to this field, and type as 'multi valued attribute'
    Under this above created field , I have then added the 5 fields of Child table.
    Created recon profile.
    It is still giving the same error as- " oracle.iam.reconciliation.exception.ReconciliationException: Oim Child Table Name is null based on child mapping <Field 1 of the 5 fields>l "
    on encoutering this---
    reconAPI.addMultiAttributeData(eventkey, <Field 1 of the 5 fields>, map)

  • OIM - query regarding child tables

    Hi All
    I have a query regarding child tables. For example, when a user is removed from an AD group, his corresponding entry from the AD groups child table will be deleted. I want to know whether it is deleted of marked as deleted. Can I get the information later on that the user was removed from which AD group?
    Please help.
    Thanks

    You will have to enable the audit level = Resource Form and perform the additional tasks to track the process form data changes. This will track all modifications to the forms.

  • Child Table data not coming in custom recon event.

    Hi All
    I have a requirement where I have to create a recon event from the custom java code. There is one attribute which is a multii valued attr. Now I am able to create the recon event but have not been able to bring the child table data to the event.
    following is the code I am trying with oimclient. countryList is the multi vlue field in the child table. On running I am getting "current Status" = Data Recieved and getting the employeeID, accessType and businessJust values with the even but not countryList
    HashMap record = new HashMap();
    record.put("employeeID", "test" + ran.nextInt());//"test1841519422");
    record.put("accessType", "testXXXX");
    record.put("countryList", "India");
    record.put("businessJust","Faltoo");
    HashMap record2 = new HashMap();
    record2.put("countryList", "India");
    long createReconciliationEvent;
    createReconciliationEvent = reconAPI.createReconciliationEvent("RO Name", record, false);
    System.out.println("Event: " + createReconciliationEvent);
    reconAPI.addMultiAttributeData(createReconciliationEvent,"countryList",record2);
    System.out.println("check2");
    reconAPI.providingAllMultiAttributeData(createReconciliationEvent,"countryList", true);
    System.out.println("check3");
    reconAPI.finishReconciliationEvent(createReconciliationEvent);
    System.out.println("closing successful2");
    Please let me know what else I should do, or what I am doing wrong

    What version of R2 or R2PS1? What is the exact patch level? There is an open issue on R2- with some BP &  PS1 (upto BP02 I think) where the issue occurs when there are multiple application instances of the same resource object. Do you have same scenario? If so what are the names of the application instance form names in the sandbox? Make sure you use the same form name for both the application instances in the sandbox.
    As long as the UD_ tables (both for parent and child) are filled up, it should be displayed in the child form of the resource under the accounts tab. The values from the child table are shown in the entitlements tab only if the child table column is marked with entitlement=true and you have run the entitlement list job.

  • Multiple Child Tables in UDO

    Hi Experts,
    I Have to design and create a B1 Form which will be having behavior like a Transaction Form .I have already developed some Addons with single matrix. But here I need 2 matrices but the Second Matrix will carry data specific to a single line of first matrix. Just like in SAP Transaction Forms say A/P Invoice. The matrix for Item Details is there on the screen . But line wise we can enter TAX Amount Bifurcation in separate matrix.
    I need the same feature in my UI. I need to pop up the Second matrix on selection of single line of First Matrix. But at the final save of the form I want this matrix's data to be saved by UDO itself. I know that we can have multiple child tables in a single UDO Object, but I don't know how to tackle this on UI level .
    I hope I am able to explain my problem.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    OIM 11g here. I have built a process form with its attached child table for a custom connector i have made. Now i noticed that the child table accepts duplicate entries. How can i make the child table entries unique, as they are in the AD user groups child table?
