Hiding Context Element without removing them from Context Node

Hi,
my application uses an ALV table. I'm implementing Complex Filter that are used to hide some rows that match certain conditions, like the regular filter in ALV does. At the end, I want to save all rows, even the hidden ones. It would be simpler for me to keep all elements in my context, but just to set an attribute to hide the element. Is there a way to do it or I have to remove the element from context and put it aside in a temporary buffer?
Thanks
Davy

Hi ,
Get the column reference of the alv and loop the alv columns ...get the column which you want to hide and use the method
CALL METHOD lr_column->set_visible
        EXPORTING
          value = cl_wd_uielement=>e_visible-none.

  • Removing songs from itunes without removing them from ipod

Is it possible to remove songs from iTunes without removing them from iPod? When I attempt to delete songs from iTunes I get a warning that they'll be deleted from iPod as well. I've got Manually manage music and videos checked under Options in the Summary window.

You can delete songs from your iTunes/computer hard drive after transferring them to the iPod, and for this you need to set your iPod to manage the iPod content manually.
However, this is an extremely risky option because when (and not if) there comes a time to restore your iPod, which is a very common fix for iPod problems, then all the music would be erased. If you no longer have the music in iTunes (or any other back up), then all that music would be lost.
What if the iPod were lost/stolen/needed repair? Again, the music would lost. I strongly recommend a back up, and if computer hard drive space is in short supply, you should seriously consider an external hard drive. They are not expensive, and the cost is well worth it when compared to the loss of all your precious music.
At the very least back up your music to either cd or dvd before deleting it, particularly any purchased music/videos, as this would have to be bought again if it were lost. See these about backing up media.
How to back up your media in iTunes.
    Buegie's complete back up strategy.
To move music from iPod to computer, check out the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2). This a manual method using "hidden folders" and although it works, it can be messy.
Much easier ways are to use one of the many 3rd party programs that copy music from the iPod to the computer.
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music and playlists etc from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Another free program is Pod Player.
There is also CopyPod. This does preserve ratings/playcounts etc if those are important to you but this program is not free. It also supports video transfer.
If you are using iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.

Can I remove files from my computer without removing them from iCloud?

Reason I'm asking: I did move a folder over, and then went to iCloud.com, and looked in that folder, and it said it was empty. Thanks
When you move a folder to iCloud Drive, it will upload the contents of this folder to iCloud Drive, but it may take a long tome, even for small items. You may see progress bars, while the contents is uploading.  And the folder may look empty, until it will be updated from iCloud.  For example - shortly after adding the folder "neueBilder" to iCloud Drive.

  • Delete E-Mail Accounts Without Removing Them from All Computers

I lost a hard drive on my MacBook Pro and had to re-insall Yosemite and all of my apps and data. I started setting up my e-mail using Apple Mail on my laptop, adding accounts to it. As I added accounts, apparently iCloud decided to add them to my Apple Mail on my work computer, an iMac running Yosemite. I do share my iCloud account between the two machines, but in the past, I didn't share e-mail accounts, except for my .me account and my work e-mail account. Now, I have all of my personal e-mail accounts on my iMac, which I do not want.
When I go to delete an account in Mail, it shoots me over to the Internet Accounts pane in System Preferences. If I start to delete the account, I get the following message:
"Do you want to remove the Mail account “[email protected]” from all your computers using iCloud Keychain or turn it off on only this Mac?
Removing from all computers using iCloud Keychain will remove it from this Mac and “Name of My MacBook Pro”."
I want to remove the account from my work computer, but I do NOT want it deleted from my MacBook Pro.
How do I get around this? I'm assuming something is set up in iCloud to cause this and I want it stopped.

Okay then, you need to make sure that your phone isn't able to delete your emails from the server by accessing your email account settings and looking for the correct setting. As I don't have a CenturyLink email account I'm unable to point you to the correct setting I'm afraid. You might be able to change your email account to an IMAP account which might be a better option for you.
In the meantime, you can still read your emails on the phone and delete them later using your PC which is how I manage one of my email accounts (POP3). My other IMAP accounts always keep a copy of my mail on the server.

  • How can I delete e-mails from one IPad without removing them from other IPads on same icloud? I'ved tried switching off mail sync on all devices but this only works when deleting on IPhone

We have several portable devices and a mini mac on our system and have found that if we delete an email on one device it is removed from others.
We don't want this, but at the same time we need to keep our devices clear of clutter.
It was suggested that switch off the sync mail switch in settings - Icloud, but this only works on IPads & Ipods
anybody got any better ideas ??

  • Removing email from iPhone without removing it from Mobile me server

I currently have an iPhone and several email accounts on different servers. All these accounts give me to option to remove mail from my iPhone without removing them from the server. With Mobile me there is no option available to do this that I've been able to to locate on my iPhone. Does anyone know how to prevent the emails pushed to my iphone not being removed from the server when I delete them from my iPhone? Thanks.

Mobile Me uses the IMAP protocol.
This allows the iPhone + Server + all other PC/Macs you have your account on to remain in sync. Delete an email, it affects all devices with account, read email, read on all devices with account. Etc. Etc.
This is normal for any IMAP based account. POP are the accounts that will not keep things up to date or the same.
By any chance are all the other accounts actually POP? or are they also using IMAP?
Typically you may find a default global settings in Settings - Mail, Contacts, Calenders - On that screen might be some deletion options.

  • How can I remove the photos without deleting them from the album?

I am making a book in Aperture 3.  I want to change some of the pages that I have put together, and want to remove some of the photos from some of the pages, to put them on another page.  How can I remove the photos without deleting them from the album?

As a follow-up, I have found that clicking on the photo in the book also highlights the photo on the strip below.  So, if you then hit delete, you will delete the photo from both the book page and the album (which is the book, the way I have it set up).  If you only want to delete it from the book page, you then have to un-click the photo on the strip below, or both will be deleted.  This seems unwieldy.  I deleted 6 photos from a page and found all of them gone from the album.  The only way that I can see to keep them in the album is to then unselect them from the bottom strip after selecting them fro the page.  This seems to call for an extra step.

  • I have about 130 gigs of movies on my iTunes and was wondering if I can just put them on my backup hard drive and remove them from my main computer to free up the space

I have about 130 gigs of movies on my iTunes and was wondering if I can just put them on my backup hard drive and remove them from my main computer to free up the space.

I haven't done this with an external drive, but I would imagine it works the same way as if you have multiple internal drives.  Also hopefully it works with less headache in OSX than in windows.
Anyway, move all your music over to your external, and then go into itunes -> preferences -> advanced -> iTunes media folder location.  Navigate to your drive, and pick the folder you want.  Ensure that your folders are set up like they are in your ~/Music/iTunes folder, or wherever your iTunes is currently pointing.  Then quit and restart itunes.  If your music doesn't show up, try dragging your music folder from your external onto itunes, and it will hopefully update your library.xml.
As far as Jerry's problem goes, you could try adding another music folder to your library.xml, but I really have no idea whether this will work or not.  If you want to give it a try (can't promise you won't corrupt your library.xml, so make a copy beforehand) you can find the music folder xml element right near the top of the xml file (open it with textedit/textmate/whatever text editor you want (NOT WORD)).  Curious to know if this works, and if it doesn't I have other ideas so let me know.

  • How can I delete songs stored in the Cloud but without deleting them from my mac?

How can I delete songs stored in the Cloud but without deleting them from my mac?

You can do it, but you need another library signed in to iTunes match. That second library shouldn't have any local files stored.
Delete the entry from that second library and it will ask you to confirm that you want to remove the file from the cloud. Confirm that you do.
Now, as long as you don't delete the file from your main library it will have an iCloud status of "removed" and won't be in the cloud or try add it again.
However, if you sign out of match on that computer and then sign in again it will then re-add it to the cloud, so this isn't a method to use if you tend to turn match on and off much.
I have had the Beatles Mono albums in my main library, but not in the cloud, for a while now without any problems.

  • Process security headers without removing them

Does anyone know whether it is possible to have OSB process security headers without removing the headers from the message?
I would like to be able to validate the signature and grab the principal from the certificate in order to determine whether the request should be allowed to continue on. However, the signature cannot be removed from the message because the business service requires requests to be signed (and the requests must be signed by the original requester, not an intermediary).
See Process security headers without removing them also
    Helmar

I don't know a way of doing this with OSB, I mean having the bus do it for you. It's either process all security headers or none. If the service bus is acting as a pass-through, not processing the headers, you could read them yourself inside the proxy pipeline. But you would have to implement the decryption yourself, this won't be done by the bus. You could do this with a java callout, but I imagine it won't be trivial task.
I'd think this is pretty standard. The headers normally are intended for a service (maybe going through various intermediaries), hence the actor property of the headers, and that service should remove them after processing them. But I'm not familiar with Oracle's ESB to know if this is possible with it.

  • Does deleting photos remove them from my hard drive?

I have just installed Photoshop Elements 6.
    iphoto then imported 1,172 thumbnails.
Does this mean these pictures are taking up twice as much space as needed by being in the library
and if I delete them will I delete them from the programme?
    thanks,
    Jacquie

    Jacquie
You’ll need to give us more information than this.
    This:
I have just installed Photoshop Elements 6.
    does not cause this:
    iphoto then imported 1,172 thumbnails.
Are you sure these are thumbnails? Where did they come from?
Does this mean these pictures are taking up twice as much space as needed by being in the library
Depends... iPhoto - by default - copies files into the Library. The best way to use iPhoto is to allow it to do this and then remove the other filing system.
and if I delete them will I delete them from the programme?
IF you delete them from iPhoto then you will remove them from the Library and the Hard Drive - but it won’t remove the files in your other filing system.
It might be best if you explain what you want to achieve, then we may be able to help your more concisely.

  • What will happen to my purchased movies/TV shows if iTunes removed them from the store?

I'm honestly sorry to bother you. I tried to google this and cloudn't find a good answer.
What will happen to my purchased movies/TV shows (that I haven't downloaded on my devices) if iTunes removed them from the store? Will I still be able to watch/download them from iCloud?
I'm trying to buy all my favourite movies and TV shows without downloading them, to keep them in iCloud that I can access from all my devices whenever I want, but I'm scared that iTunes will remove them from my iCloud if something happens to the contract between them and the production company. Should I worry about that?
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I appreciate it.
    Best,
    Faisal

Thank you for taking the time to explain this.
But the thing is, I don't want to download ANYTHING because I don't have storage. That's why I want to buy them and watch them through iCloud (on my Mac iTunes) without downloading.
I know that it's safer to download them. But does "safer" mean that iTunes might not let me access my purchases through iCloud?

  • How do I delete email from iPhone without deleting them from my Mac

How do I delete email from iPhone without deleting them from my Mac?

To remove a photo from iPhoto and your Mac:
Put it in the iPhoto Trash, then enpty it. Then empty the system trash as well
If you want to remove a photo from iPhoto but keep it on your Mac:
First Export the file from iPhoto (File -> Export) to whereever you want it and then go through the steps above.
Confusion arises as the notion that you would want to remove a pic from iPhoto but keep it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. It's like saying I want to remove one address from Address Book, but still keep it on my Mac. The point of iPhoto and such apps is that they are used to manage your photos. Anything that you need to do with the pics cn be done either with or via iPhoto.
