Hiding some fields from ALV report

Hi All,
I want to know if there is way to hide certain fields in ALV for some users only and not for others?
If I use the option NO_OUT = 'X' it will not be displayed in the list but the user can see the in the Layout option fields but if use NO_OUT = 'X' and TECH = 'X' the field will not be in the list and in the layout also but other users will miss that field.
If I create user specific variant, but once the user is in the report he can change the layout so certain fields cannot be hidden.
So, is there any way to hide some fields for certain users and not for others without hard coding user ids in program and restricting the fields from display??

I knew that Authorization object was the final solution but before using it I wanted to find out if there was a way in the ALV report to restrict certain fields.

Excel fiel from ALV report

Hi Gurus,
    is der any way to download data from ALV report to excel sheet depending on layout set dyanmically.
I mean to say that if I choose a layout then data has to transfer to excel sheet according to layout fields automaticaly.

I think this can be done by oops ALV , are u using reusealv F.M to call output in ALV ?

Jump from alv report to cor2 screen

Hi experts,
I develop one alv report ..i want to jump from alv report to COR2 screen when click on order number(field name is AUFNR).
i wrote code in this way.

but it is not working properly,when u click on any order number it is going only the same order number(in cor2 screen).
what is the problem? set par id (AUF) EXIST IN TPARA table compulsalory or it is created automatically?

I have already mentioned both ways, but ok, once again.
A. how I found parameter ID ANR:
1.) run transaction COR2
2.) set cursor to field "Process order"
3.) press F1 button
4.) performance assistant displays
5.) press "Technical Information"
6.) technical information displays
7.) in field "Parameter ID" you can see parameter ID assigned to a screen field
B. how I found parameter ID BR1:
1.) switch on debugger
2.) run transaction COR2
3.) put a breakpoint on "GET PARAMETER" statement
4.) debugger stops on every GET PARAMETER statement in PBO of COR2
5.) there you can see that BR1 is used for field AUFNR
Basically first mentioned way is sufficient, because system gets parameter value from parameter ID assigned to a screen element automatically. But in this case a value is overwritten by coding in PBO of COR2.

I cannot dowload all fields from ALV list to Excel - urgent, please help me

I developed a report and displayed in ALV list using FM 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'.The list contains 200 fields.But when i am trying to download in EXCEL file from ALV list, it is unable to download all the fields from ALV list into EXCEL.

is your list having packed decimals or any fields which are of large length (around 128 char)?

When i hide some fields from the Editform using javascript, what will happen to the fields that hve been hidden

I am working on an EnterpriseWiki site collection, and when users edit the page properties as follow:-
then will get all the fields inside the EnterpriseWiki content type as follow:-
now i want to hide all the fields except the ; Title & Name, so i edit the EditForm and i add the following script:-

so currently when users edit the wiki page properties they can only edit the Name & Title, because the script hide the other fields.
My question is what will happen to the other values such as the page content, assign to , etc that have been hidden.. I test this and seems that when editing the name and title the other values will not get effected which is what i need, but not sure how
did SharePoint handle this, i was afraid that hiding the other columns will set their values as null or empty if the user save the editform with only the title and name inside it ? can anyone adivce on this ?

From your description, my understanding is that you are worried about the values of some fields
will been saved as empty if you hide them in EditForm.
If you hide some fields in EditForm, it means that you could not edit them. These fields’ values will not be changed after editing Title field or Name field. When you click Save button, they will be still the values before changing the Title field or Name
field.

i found this very critical issue with hiding the fields from the edit form, now i wrote the following script inside the edit form , to hide all the fields except the Name

Exporting data from ALV Report...

Dear All,
While I am exporting data from ALV report to any other Format (Excel, Txt, HTML) it only export the data of last column, but the heading is comming properly and also the column heading is displaying properly.
So how to rectify it. (the report is Object Oriented).

u r passing "high" value and in "option u r passing "EQ" so how it will work!!!
So if u r passing only 1 date or more dates like 01.01.2010 , 15.02.2010 , 10.03.2010 then pass

i think u cannot use "call transaction using bdcdata" in ur case bcoz as u said in ur 1st post u want to display the details of all but still if u want to use then u should pass all parameters in loop.

Billing document number can be displayed in customer line item display
(FBL5N) and not in G/L line item display (FBL3N).
The value of VBELN is saved in table BSEG. So, this means, you
have to define the field BSEG-VBELN as a special field in table
T021S. Then you can use it in FBL3N, because then the report looks
directly in BSEG-VBELN.
For further information,please read the SAP note 207436. You don't have to
implement the coding corrections, if they are already in your system
with the hotpackage. But it explains very detailed the system
behaviour. The example in the note with field EBELN could be
replicated on your field VBELN.
About the MEINS field, please refer to 1-U_MEINS (bseg-meins field).
The SAP note 215798 may also be helpful.

I want to make 3 fields in the ALV tree editable and update the saved values in ztable.
I tried making the wa_fieldcat-edit = 'X' But in vain.
Also i made the layout fields wa_layout-edit = 'X' and wa_layout-edit_mode = 'X'.
But still the alv tree field appears as display.
As you have mentioned in the post as answered, So please guide me to make the field editable.
I am using oops method.
Please provide me code if any.

i am very new to SAP SD .if the client do not want some fields from standard one's how we can remove those fields.(example u take Standard sales order).

HI, you cannot hice many fields in SAP, since they all need for something.
try to explain this to your customer; furthermore many fields are filled form the master data so the users don't have do mind of them.
Anyway you can alter the screens using the transaction variants: go to IMG
Spro: SAPNetwaever->general settings->Field Display Characteristics->Configure Application Transaction Fields
