Hiding SystemTray On Loading SplashScreen

Hi All,
While showing the splashscreen curently my windows phone application shows SystemTray which doesn't look good. Is there a way to hide the systemTray on StartUp.

The system tray will always appear if you are using a default splash screen (SplashScreenImage.jpg in a Silverlight app).
You can have full control if you implement a custom splash screen. This means eliminating SplashScreenImage.jpg and writing your own code to display a splash image. There are various ways to do this, for example:

Firefox won't open links from Mac Mail

Like everyone else Apple Mail links will not open in Firefox if it is already open. Clicking a link brings FF to the front but no page loads. Links work if FF is not open. Links work if command is pressed whilst clicking the link (opens in new tab in background).
Problem occurred after 32.0.2 update, it appeared to briefly resolve itself after 32.0.3 update, but stopped (I think) on next reboot.
Have monkeyed around for ages with different combinations of default browser and rebooting.
Will abandon FF and go back to Safari if this isn't sorted soon - shame.

Work is proceeding on [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1017595 Bug #1017595 – Links from external applications sometimes fail to open when Firefox is hidden] but as you can tell from the title, this is focused on the problem of Firefox not coming out of hiding from the dock or coming out of hiding but not loading the page. If this also occurs when Firefox is not hidden at all, there may be a secondary issue. But hopefully solving the one will solve the other. Unfortunately, I don't know whether it will be in time for Firefox 33.

App Store says, "Tuner! and 4 other apps could not be downloaded at this time. Please try again later." How may I appease the Store?

App Store says, "Tuner! and 4 other apps could not be downloaded at this time. Please try again later."
How may I appease the Store? The message first appeared a couple of weeks ago and seems to reappear every time I download something from the App Store, be it an update or a new app. I tried re-downloading and re-deleting "Tuner!" (this is the only one whose name I can see), but to no avail. I even tried hiding a whole load of apps from my Purchased list (including Tuner!) in the hope that the five offenders would GO AWAY and stop waiting around being nuisances ;) I haven't noticed them slowing down/stopping my other downloads, so I never paid the pop-up notice much attention, but it is starting to bug me now.

I have been getting the message from time to time over the last couple of weeks. I just click through, and the download haooens anyway. The other day I looged onto my accout in apple.com, and it simply wanted me to verify the ccv on the credit card.
I am glas your solution worked, but I am not sure you needed to do a full wipe and reinstall. There is some goofy stuff going on with the store, but nothing you can't get by.

Mail 8.1 won't open links from messges

When reading a message, links within the message won't open. When I 2 finger click on the link, the drop-down window ask "open, open link behind mail, copy link, services" . None of them work.
Before Yosemite. I could 2 finger click and choose whatever, my preference was "open behind mail". Always worked.....
Now 2 finger (right) click does nothing.... If I just click on the link, it opens my browser on top of mail.

Transparent Images

Hi all,
I am loading sequence of images of fixed size with transparency on the areas where image is not present.
suppose 40 sequence images i am loading of size 400X400. Which together makes a flower. But, after loading 22 images it starts hiding the previously loaded sequence images.
Please answer my problem ASAP.

I stand corrected. Yes, all 33 .png files were imported, however only 23 of them will show any one time. If I turn off the visibility of any of the higher numbered images, the lower numbered images will appear. So I looked a little further. I tried the same thing in Flash CS4 and got a similar result. I had one additional image show up, so CS4 will allow 24 images to stack and show.
I then took the full image and made new layers of each number in Photoshop. I then exported the layers as separate images but cropped the imaged to just the visible number. I was able to import and show all 33 of these smaller images. I needed to manually reposition each image to get the layout that you had, but they all showed up on the stage.
I've never tried to stack a bunch of large blank space .png images like this before. I always use images that have been cropped to the smallest possible size.

Hiding Data References During Page Load

I'm not sure how to use spry:content to hide the red X from a
large image while the page is loading.

To hide the data references, you use the .SpryHiddenRegion
class on your spry:regions.
The spry:content works because there is no source code within
that block, so nothing shows onLoad.

The <img> is within the value of {name}.

Hiding spry tabs until page loads

Greetings, I am a professional beginner
in spry and need to know if you can hide the content
panels in spry tabs while the page loads (like you can hide the XML
schema while a spry list loads). I have a page with four tabs that
takes roughly 5-8 seconds to load all of the content panels. While
it loads, the page shows all the tabs' panels stacked, then redraws
with only the default tab showing as it should. This looks odd to
the users and makes the page 4x longer until it finishes loading...
...Any ideas?

If hiding the tab content isn't a function for the tabbed
panel, is it possible to retrieve HTML code fragments from within
the same document as the panels? AdobeLabs has an example using
updateContent to load the panel content when the tab is clicked,
but it references an external HTML page...

How to show a splashscreen in a FLASH AIR game while content is loading

I've seen some games take some time to load (something completely reasonalbe and normal). So I guess it would be really interesting to have a way to show a splash screen while the content is loading.
Any common aproach to face this problem?

The solution is generally to break up the operation that is taking a long time into smaller chunks. If for example, you have a long loop executing, then AIR never gets a chance to update the screen (or respond to the OS messages).
The first step is to identify what part of the process is taking such a long time.

And to put up a progress bar, you have to do this anyway, otherwise the progress bar will never get updated, either.

Loading (and hiding) an applet from forms 6i (deployed on iAS 1.0.2)

We have an existing in-house Forms 6i application deployed on Oracle iAS 1.0.2 (client PC is running Win XP).
I need to do the following after user completes a specific action on the form (e.g. click a button):
- loading an applet to downloading a file from the server to client machine
- the applet (and the associated HTML page, if any) must be hidden from the user
- after the downloading process is completed, the applet (and associated HTML page) is terminated without any impact on the Oracle Form
Any help (and examples if available) is much appreciated

Applets accept parameters, so you could use these parameters to move or resize the main frame (like the Forms applet does).
If your are the owner of the Applet, you also could envisage to transcript it into a Java Bean, then it would be totally transparent for the user.

Mobile: How to keep splashscreen visible until app is fully loaded

I´ve been struggling with this for a few days, and I cannot find any way to do it.. Maybe someone know how to do it!
In a mobile application you can specify a splashscreen. Mine is a SWF instead of multiple resolution static images, just to add some "life" to it. There´s also this property that allow us to keep the splashscreen visible through a given number of seconds.

Well, this is quite interesting and works ok, but I´m looking for a more specific funcionality, because the "splashScreenMinimumDisplayTime" some times is too long and some times is not enough... What I would like is to keep the splashscreen visible, until some initialize actions are totally complete (in this case, it means downloading a remote XML file and converting it to XMLLists). Then, hide the splashscreen programatically. I think it would be great to be able to manage this behaviour.
There must a way to override some methods of the splashscreen to do this, but I couldn´t find too much info about it... Please, someone just give me any clue to start searching on!

I got this workaround to show the splashscreen indefinitely until we hide it in runtime:
1- A custom SplashScreen class is needed. We cannot create one that extends from the original one (located at "frameworks/projects/mobilecomponentes/src/spark/preloaders/SplashScreen.as"), because some changes must be made in a pair of private methods. So, copy the whole file into a "CustomSplashScreen.as" (changing package path and the class name in its declaration and its constructor method).
2- Set the new CustomSplashScreen class as the default preloader in main MXML:

Hiding a button until a certain frame is loaded

Can't be done. The area taken up by that frame is live all the time.
You could try it with an MSO instead of a scroll. That would work.

Dialogue tick boxes un-hiding all fields, not just the ones where value has changed to true

I am hoping someone can help me make what I want to happen, happen if certain check boxes are ticked withing the dialogue box
right now I can see on the console print that the tick box turns the value from false to true but the OK button is also un-hiding all my fields rather than just the ones where the value has turned to true. What am I missing here

The error does not look like a webutil client side problem - it looks more like a server side issue - perhaps the runtime not being able to find the webutil.pll.
Check your FORMS90_PATH in the webutil.env file and make sure it's not too long (>255 chars) if it is split it and use ORACLE_PATH as well.
