Hierarchy Extraction using Open hub Destination

Hi,
I need to extract hierarchy data for Application code(YAPPLCD) using OHD. In the Hierarchy there are 4 components(Industry, Market, Application Group and Application Code). i need to get all the 3 details for the Application Code(i.e to which Indusrty does it belong, Market and Application Group).But HIerarchy table is having one record for each apllication code, Market, Application Group, Application code.
How to get relevant data for the application code?
My file format should be:
Appl.Code | Appl.Group | Market | Industry.

The SAP Open Hub service enables you to distribute data from an SAP BI/BW system into external data marts, analytical applications, and other applications. With this, you can ensure controlled distribution using several systems. The central object for the export of data is the InfoSpoke. Using this, you can define the object from which the data comes and into which target it is transferred, leveraging SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) as the transfer/transform mechanism.
SAP BI objects such as InfoCubes, ODS objects, or InfoObjects can act as open hub data sources. You can select database tables or flat files as open hub destinations, and then use those destinations as actual sources within SSIS. To automate the extraction using SAPu2019s Open Hub Service, youu2019ll need to setup a process chain. Note that both a full and delta modes are also available as the extraction mode.
As stated already with direct extraction from SAP R/3, once data is extracted out of SAP NetWeaver® BI (SAP BW), the destination of that data could be any relational database (such as SQL Server), and then reports (from SSRS) and multi-dimensional cubes (from SSAS) can be created from that database data. The resulting SQL Server reports/cubes could then be used within the Microsoft Business Intelligence delivery mechanisms, such as through Excel, SharePoint, PerformancePoint, etc.

Data Extraction in Open Hub Destination using Process Chain

Hi
I want to extract data in Open Hub Destination (database table)from Data Store Object(ODS) through Process Chain.
When i tried to create process chain, i found only one option under Process types - Data export into External System. Here it asks for Infospoke instead of Open Hub Destination.

You can use the data transfer process to update data to the open hub destination. The data is transformed in this process. Not all rules types are available in the transformation for an open hub destination: Formulas, reading master data, time conversion, currency translation and unit conversion are not available.

Use of Open Hub Destination to load data into BPC

Hi Gurus,
I want to load the data from SAP BI to BPC (NW version), using Open Hub Destination. I want to know few things about this.
1) What method should I use? Should I use Destination as Flat Files or Database tables? If Database tables, how can I use this data in the tables in BPC?
2) If I go for Flat Files, which is saved in the application server of BI, how can I import those files to BPC and use it using Data Manager?
3) Also, in case of Flat Files, there are two files which are created. One is the control file and other one is the data file. How can I use both of them? Or can I just use data file without header?

Hi Anjali,
I can use the standard data manager package from BI to BPC, if the CSV file is available in the BPC Server or in case if I am directly extracting from BW object, InfoObject or InfoCube.
But, since I will be using Open Hub, the output of this can be in a Database Table or a CSV file, preferably in SAP Application Server. In such cases, how can I use the Database table or CSV file in the standard Data Manager Package?

Make a CSV using OPEN HUB including some nodes of a hierarchy

I have a requirement that needs to make a CSV using OPEN HUB DESTINATION in BI7. I'm taking the information of a virtual cube (SEM ). However, I have the detail in 0CS_ITEM. In this Infobject there are some nodes that have to be displayed in the file, but this nodes are the acumulated of some 0CS_ITEM.
My question is: Do I have to make an abap program to read de hierarchy and make manually the adittion of the acumulated and display it into the file? Is there any other way to get this target without making abap code?
Any clue will be great

Instead of ABAP program I suggest you to create infospoke..and it will show a message in which format you want to save..

Can Open Hub Destinations be used with Multiproviders?

We're looking to export data from a multiprovider, using Open Hub Destinations, however when I try to create the OHD, Multiprovider does not show up as an object type. I've tried entering Infocube, but then when I search for the multiprovider, it is not on the list.
We are using BW 7.0.

No MultiProviders cant be used as a source for an Open Hub Destinations.
BI objects such as InfoCubes, DataStore objects, InfoObjects (attributes or texts), and InfoSets can be used.

Open Hub Destination question

Hi,
We want to be able to extract data from a cube and would like to use Open Hub Destination for it. We also want to extract deltas.
The question is ..
Should we be making a single info package for this with delta capability ..
or 2 separate info packages .. 1 for full mode and another for delta mode.

Yes what you said it is write
from which cube do u want to retract the daat that cube will be the source
first create the open hub in RSBO tcode and
in open hub destination select aht and create the transformation between the table( to where u want to export)
then create the DTP between the cube to the table
and directly u can use the delta DTP first all the records will come and later onle delta records will be updated.

Erase data from open hub destination data service

Hi,
I'm getting an error trying to delete data from a cube, for which data are extracted using open hub service and loaded into a table.
The error given is the following:
Request updated in 1794 already by 1795 target DTPR_4EEX9CGGXLTU2QIPWUAIEUDZK DTP request (ZRAPPEL)
Message no. RSM077
Diagnosis
One or more DTP requests have already updated the request.
Procedure
Firstly, delete all update requests from your targets. Then you can delete the source request.
Zrappel data is the open hub destination. But it is clear where requests for this destination, to let me delete the cube data.

Follow the same steps above , that means delete the requests from the Cube Zrappel.
right click on the cube -
> Delete Data
now the syatem will promt you asking
Do you want to delete the content of data target Zrapple ?

Open Hub Destination to Informatica

HI All,
I am having the following issue. We have created Open Hub Destination on InfoCube for Third Party (Informatica). But the target table is not visible in Informatica. They were able to view if created using InfoSpokes and able to extract using InfoSpokes. But when we use Open Hub Destination, they are not able to view them. We verified the RFC connection. Also triggered DTP for Open Hub Destination and it is sending data to the target teable structure.
Please help me in this regard

Did you use Informatica's SAP Connector? It is a add-on and licese has to be purchased from Informatica. this will help to load delta and continuous daily load from SAP BI to target system with Informatica as ETL. InfoSpoke is a .csv file that created in a particuar folder thus Informatica able to see it.

Open Hub destinations

I am using open hub destinations to transfer the cube data into database tables in BI.During activation of open hub the database tables with names /BIC/OH* are created. I am facing problem with the reference fields associated with this table.It is taking the field name itself as the reference field for Quantity and currency fields.Suppose I have a field CRM_NETVAM in table, the reference field shown for that in table is CRM_NETVAM only.This is the problem, so it wo'nt allow us to activate the databse table and ulltimately will be cause of failure of the open hub functionality.
I need quick help for this and will give full points to anything which can help me out in solving this.

In open hub service for data export from BI system to non SAP system the central object is Infospoke and within infospoke BI Objects acts as open hub data source from which data is extracted in full and delta mode and flat files and database tables acts as open hub destinations basically the target system into which data is transferred and data can be transferred using Business Add In (BADI)

Text Values in Open Hub Destination

Hi ,
Can anybody tell how to extract the text of particular info object using open hub destination into a file.
For ex data is loaded from sales billing cube, ship to customer code is extracted , but need ship to customer name . how to extract this in open hub destination using BI 7.
In queries , we use display key and text then get both key and text values. similar like that is it possible to get in open hub or not.

Following are 2 approaches to achieve this
Approach 1:
1. Create info spoke which will extract data from cube to data base table (do not use file)
2. Create one more info spoke which will extract master data text to data base table (again do not use file)
3. Create join on both the data base tables.
4. Write a ABAP program which will create a file based on the joins of tables.
Approach 2 :
1. Create multiprovider on cube and master data info object
2. Create info spoke based on the multi provider, that will extract data to flat file
For 2nd approach u have to put certain filters to avoid unwanted rows

Open Hub Destination to Oracle database

Hello All ,
I am supposed to send data from my SAP BI (7.0) system to and Oracle Database using open hub destination. I have to use the option " Third Party " as destination while creating the Open Hub Destination .
From my reading and acc to Basis I realised that I need a 3rd party ETL tool in between BI and Oracle system to write data into the Oracle system since oracle is not SAP RFC aware . The 3rd party ETL that I am supposed to use in this is Business Objects - Data Integrator(BO-DI) . If anyone has implemented this type of Open hub service please throw some light on this issue as to how to setup the 3rd party ETL in between and how to proceed . Any how to document would also be useful .

Open hub destination to download the output file into R/3

Hi Guys,
             I have a requirement where i need to down load the data from my BW cube to R/3.For this i am using Open hub destination.
While creating the open hub destination we have option called RFC Destination(in that i have selected destination as my R/3 system).When i execute my DTP it is saying the load is successful and it is showing the no.of records transfered.
But i am not able to find where this data is getting transfered From BW cube to R/3 system using open hub.

Change of sign while extracting data using Open hub

Hello All,
We are extracting data from Info cube to a file in the application server using Open hub.
While extracting data, if there is any negative value for the key figure, negative sign is appending on the right side of the value(Eg: "123.67-"), which is the standard behaviour but I want the sign to be on the left side of the value (Eg: "-123.67") while extracting to the file at application server.
Could any one please let me know if there is any setting to do this change ?

Hi,
Changing the SIGN position from one side of the NUMBER to the other side can happen in following ways.
1) After the file is place in the application server. Deploy a OS SCRIPT file (for .csv) for obtaining the required changes to the required COLUMN [Basis team will have more idea on this]
2)This is time consuming idea. well deploy a routine at the Open hub -Infospoke level.
