Hierarchy Viewer CSS issue
Hi,
I have a Fusion Web Application in Jdeveloper 12C that gets the colors and skinning from a CSS file.
When i add:
af|dvt-hierarchyViewer
background-image: -webkit-linear-gradient(bottom, #FFFFFF 0%, #000000 300%);
background-color: currentColor;
background-attachment: scroll;
to my CSS file and run my application, the Hierarchy opens with a grey colour but then it flashes back to the default light blue gradient of fusionFx-simple-v2.desktop as soon as it tries to fetch data.
But if i change these settings on the Hierarchy itself, the colour changes to the grey and it stays grey.
Any help with this will be appreciated

Unfortunately, the application is for work. So, I am not using the HR schema.
I was asked to evaluate the tool as part of a pilot effort to determine its usefulness.
So, I downloaded Oracle Essentials for the evaluation.
We do not have a support license.
I believe some modification of a View Object caused the issue.
The application was working great since I started using the tool a few weeks ago.
My hope is that the stack trace will provide enough information to understand the root cause and corrective action. -
Hi All,
We are having some problems with the Hierarchy Viewer and we were hoping that someone might be able to shed some light on this issue.
In ADF 11.1.1.5 we have used the attribute displayLevelsChildren which shows how many levels of children would be displayed (if those levels are available of course). We have assigned a value to a select one choice that would set those levels and allow for our user to customise this value and see the levels on right hand side.
You can see the behaviour that I am referring to in the following demo:
http://jdevadf.oracle.com/adf-richclient-demo/faces/feature/hv/hvGroupNode.jspx
I know that this is an 11.1.2, but this has been the same demo for quite a while, when you change the Show Level on the left, the hierarchy viewer gets updated.
I have created a simple app that illustrates the problem, and when I run it under 11.1.1.5 it performs as expected, while when we run it on 11.1.1.6 it doesn't refresh the levels

Edited by: Younis Al-Rawi on 4/03/2013 08:58Hi,
the only change is that 11.1.1.6 supports HTML 5 rendering. So you may want to check if the rendering is in Flash or HTML5. If the rendering is in Flash and the mis-behavior shows then the only suggestion I can give is (in case you have a support contract) to file a service request with customer support

Getting an autosuggest Search working with the Hierarchy Viewer
Hi,
I recently raised an issue with Oracle Support 3-7934581791 : Hierarchy Search not working in HTMl5 version, this was promoted to being a bug in ADF HV
Bug 17601664 - NON-FLASH VERSION OF HIERARCHY VIEWER DOES NOT DISPLAY A SEARCH FORM
So, my question is what other option preferably programmatically to provide the user with an auto suggest list of employees, selecting this list then re-queries the Hierarchy Viewers query and thus providing the user with an updated HV with the selected employee showing. Any help appreciated; Just not I am running the page with flash disabled and therefore the default search form available cant be used due to bug above.just note I have reviewed
http://jdevadf.oracle.com/adf-richclient-demo/faces/feature/hv/hvSearch.jspx
This is perfectly fine if running Flash and have this working, but I am tryinto get this to work on an iPad and non Flash enabled browsers. -
Hi everyone
My problem (well not a problem but) with Adobe Dreamveawer is viewing css styles at properties bar. At Adobe Dreamveawer CS3 you could see the background, font type, color etc in short as you designed. This useful function is seems disabled or hidden. I have tried to view all help files and didn't find anything. Does anyone knows how to resolve this issue? Thanks for replies.In the CS4 Property Inspector, you have two buttons: HTML and CSS.
http://forums.adobe.com/servlet/JiveServlet/showImage/2-2032992-5277/property_inspector_12 0dpi.png
You can view either CSS or HTML (but not both) at any one time by toggling these buttons.
I am not a fan of these buttons. I'd prefer to see both CSS and HTML info next to each other simultaneously. -
Hi,
in hierarchy viewer we have option to display no of nodes .
now I want to display those no of nodes on the top of the page .
If I have master-child-sub child in the hierarchy viewer, then I have to display like nodes in child level-- 5(or i have to choose) nodes in sub child level--3(list of values 1,2,3,....)
how can I display like this???
does any one know about this?
Thanks in Advance.....Apparently you STILL HAVENT READ THE DOCUMENTATION!
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E16162_01/web.1112/e16181/dv_hviewer.htm#BGBEDIDI
If you read THE DOCUMENTATION which is used by Oracle to DOCUMENT THINGS then you shall find that what you are looking for is standard functionality that is DOCUMENTED.
I'd apologise for shouting, but after having directed you to the DOCUMENTATION more than once on this topic, you still insist that the forum members read THE DOCUMENTATION for you.
If you have specific questions after reading THE DOCUMENTATION, I'd be pleased to attempt to answer them.
John
Edit:
Its really very urgent requirement for me.For you perhaps... To me urgent means that someone is going to die or your company is going to lose revenue if you don't solve an issue immediately. -
Hierarchy Viewer does not load after clicking on the + icon
Premise: I have a hierarchy viewer with multiple levels of master-detail with different VOs.
The inputs to the taskflow containing this page are the key and VO type. The tree should render until that VO which matches the type and key and all the next level children under it. The user can expand the nodes under these children at will to drill further.
Issue: I am able to render the tree with results. When I click on the + icon to drill on the children, I see that the backend code for fetching the children is called. But, the tree does not display. It shows the loading icon forever.
Example:
Organization - PO - POItem - Vendor - VendorSite -VendorAddress
- Responsible - ContactDetails
- Project - SubProject - Location
TaskFlow Input: Vendor, 12345
The tree should dispaly Organization - PO - POItem - Vendor(12345) - VendorSite(for 12345)
-Responsible(for 12345)
If the user expands any of the VendorSites, the VendorAddresses should be shown
Technical Details: JDeveloper Version: 11.1.2.1.0
Code: To filter the children, I am overriding the CreateViewLinkAccessorRS in the VOImpls. I am passing bind variables to the VO criterion to check the paths.@Arunkumar: Yes, I ran the AM tester and I am able to see the results properly for all the VOs and levels.
I created a sample on the HR Schema and tested. I see that when I click on the Employee node for expansion(can be checked with the data or the short description), it hangs with the load icon.
I do not see anything in the log other than:
<RegionRenderer> <encodeAll> The region component with id: r1 has detected a page fragment with multiple root components. Fragments with more than one root component may not display correctly in a region and may have a negative impact on performance. It is recommended that you restructure the page fragment to have a single root component.
I do not see any upload options here to give my testcase. So, I uploaded to this link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vybip3owzuziz86/HRHierarchyViewer.zip
Please let me know if I can do this elsewhere for easy access.

JDev 11.1.2.3.0 and ADF Hierarchy Viewer - Lazy Loading?
Hi,
I have a simple application that shows data from one table using the Hierarchy Viewer component.
My table has more than 100,000 rows.
It appears that the control tries to query all data at once and never loads.
I have reduced the number of rows to 5K and it works.
So, is there a way that I can configure the control/application to only retrieve data from the database for a particular node, when a node is expanded?
thanks for your help.Thanks,
I changed the Hierarchy Viewer's property called "Content Delivery" to lazy.
This is found in the Behavior section.
That appears to have resolved the issue. -
E-Recruitment u2013 Qualifications Catalog not displayed as a hierarchy view
Hi Expert ,
I have an issue where I need your support,
We are implementing E-recruitment EH4, E-recruitment is running on a separate instance,
ALE for moving Qualification groups & Qualifications has been done,
And I can use our qualifications with candidates or requisitions,
My issue here is Qualification group (QK) not displayed on a hierarchy view as displayed on R3,
T. Code OOQA as instance,
My case for example, we have only 5 main qualification groups and we have huge number of sub groups, so It comes on E-recruitment view as tap pages , Is there any way to view Qualification groups On a hierarchy view ,
Wait for your valid input,
Thanks,Hi,
there is not really the possibility to have two different cataloges for internal and external candiates.
In most of the projects I did the customer decided on a standalone scenario for e-recruiting and created an e-recruiting qualification catalog which was much smaller than the one of the personal development on the hr core server. It was used more for a general orientation on a hand full of key language and IT skills. We usually had 2 or 3 QK with perhaps 20 or 30 qualification. Overall the customers tended to not to overrate the technical features of profile comparison between requisition and candidate. They just took the general information and had a look on it in the personal interview with the candidate - the candidates self evaluation is often not very exact ;o).
A possibility which might be interesting for you are the options for the T77S0 switch RECFA HRQUA. Have a look at the description for the IMG node unter E-Recruiting -> Technical Settings -> Set System Parameters. There is one setting that allows to use the full qualification catalog for internal candidates and only the QKs assigned to "SAP_ERECRUITING" for the externals.
Kind Regards

BPC::EVCVW with filters no hierarchy view
Hi,
We are using EVCVW function on a BPC Excel template on a dimension with hierarchy.
Our problem is that when we use the filters, the display dimension values appear as a table instead of as a hierarchy.
The Hierarchy radio button is selected.
But when we remove the filters, the hierarchy view works fine again.
Any suggestions?
Regards.
EZHi,
The problem is that we need to filter the dimensions values (from another values of the template).
To do this we use the function EVCVW with the option:"filters". Using this option we lose the display of the hierarchy that we have built with the PARENTH1.
In addition, we need to block the values of the filters, so they can not be changed by the user.
Any suggestions for these two issues?
Regards.

Can someone help with this CSS issue....
http://66.162.81.144/cms400min/default.aspx
If you view the main page you will see that our background is
2 shades of
orange.. if you look at the line that divides those colors to
the right and
left you wil notice that the line is higher
if you notice that it seems that there is another background
on top of the
first one..its the only thing i can think of..
the only place where the image is being referenced is in this
CSS style
html, body
min-height:100%;
margin-bottom:1px;
text-align:center;
background-repeat:no-repeat;
background-image:url(images/Background-Color2.jpg);
background-color:#F74902;
background-position:center;
background-attachment:fixed;
Is there something wrong with the above CSS that could or
would cause this?
is it because im applying the image to both the HTML and
BODY?
ASP, SQL2005, DW8 VBScript, Visual Studio 2005, Visual Studio
2008You've attached the background to both the html and the body.
I would do this:
html, body {
min-height:100%;
margin-bottom:1px;
body{
text-align:center;
background-repeat:no-repeat;
background-image:url(images/Background-Color2.jpg);
background-color:#F74902;
background-position:center;
background-attachment:fixed;
Having said that the image doesn't look any higher on the
right than the
left to me in Firefox. Is it just an optical illusion?

11.1.2 HTML Hierarchy Viewer, how?
Hi,
first of all, 11.1.2 is great job Oracle, congrats! It really opens new possibilities for ADF.
That said, I don't understand how to render hierarchy viewer in html? The documentation states:
"By default, the hierarchy viewer component renders in a Flash Player. When Flash 10 or higher is not available on the client or for the purpose or printing, the hierarchy viewer is rendered in HTML."
I disabled flash and all I get is a note I should install it. What am I missing? Thanks.Hi Jernej,
HTML HV is available in 11.1.2.
You can configure the use of Flash content across the entire application by setting a flash-player-usage context parameter in adf-config.xml.
Please read this section in the doc:
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E16162_01/web.1112/e16181/ap_config.htm#BHCHJICG
You can use the "disabled" setting, or "downgrade" in a browser that doesn't have Flash player installed in order to see the HTML HV. It is also used for the printable page mode.
Hope this helps

Problem with image in Hierarchy Viewer component
Hi All,
I am using Hierarchy Viewer component in my application developed in Jdeveloper 11.1.1.6.0
Actually, my requirement is to pick the name of the "content id" stored as a value in a field in the table. Hence written code as follows, which is not showing the image.
<af:image id="img3"
inlineStyle="border-color:Black; border-width:1px; width:85px;height:120px;"
source="#{documentsService.latestReleasedVersionURL['UUCM#dDocName:#{node.EmpImage}']}"
rendered="true"/>
Please help me out ....
Thanks & Regards
Sneha

Edited by: 1002482 on Jun 6, 2013 12:48 AMTimo,
It is supposed to pick up the image from the content server and display on the page.
I have tried the following, it worked.
1) Checked in the image in the content server with content id : SAMPLE_IMG
2) modified the code as
<af:image id="img3"
inlineStyle="border-color:Black; border-width:1px; width:85px;height:120px;"
source="#{documentsService.latestReleasedVersionURL['UUCM#dDocName:SAMPLE_IMG']}"
rendered="true"/>
Now that, I want to store the value "SAMPLE_IMG" in a field in a table, and want my application to pick up that value.

SharePoint Online list view threshold issues: "because it exceeds the list view threshold enforced by the administrator"
Office 365 SharePoint Online can be problematic when it comes to exceeding the list item threshold (e.g. 5,000).
Examples of what happens after exceeding the threshold (e.g. 5,000 items):
You can’t create new forms for the list in SharePoint Designer.
You may have challenges with metadata fields in the forms (e.g. adding metadata values, editing metadata values, deleting the metadata column from the list).
Cannot save the list as a template (i.e. you get the threshold error).
Issue I'd like assistance with: how can I create a custom NewForm in SharePoint Designer
when the list exceeds the threshold limit, given this is Office 365 SharePoint Online and I don't have access to increase that limit?
As a control for my testing, I created another list with just a few custom columns with no list items --it worked fine for that list.
I also tried clearing local AppData cache which didn't solve it. I'd need Central Admin on O365 SharePoint Online to increase the threshold which I don't have access
to do. Errors received in SharePoint Designer:
"Could not save the list changes to the server." After getting this, I tried to work around
the create new forms issue by saving a copy of the original NewForm as NewForm2 and got the root error that I suspected was underlying it all:
“Server error: the attempted operation is prohibited because it exceeds the list view threshold enforced by the administrator”.
Any ideas for how to create a new list form in SD?Thanks Alex.
I just found a couple new workarounds instead of using SharePoint Designer:
Method 1: Add web parts to the form pages on the client side:
Go to the list and execute one of these actions depending what form you want to edit: create a new item (NewForm), edit an item (EditForm), or display an item (DispForm).
With the form you want to edit displayed, go to the gear icon and click "Edit Page".
You should now see the web part page show up with "Add a Web Part" as an option.
Add a Content Editor or Script Editor web part.
Add your custom code to either one to manipulate the HTML objects using your favorite web languages.
Method 2: Use InfoPath 2013.
The InfoPath 2013 route appears to work.

Update issue - CC Membership vs. Owning CS6 Discs?
Apparently, CC is now on version 10.0 for InDesign CS6. Why is it that updates are not made available for owners of CS6 Discs? I am currently working on V 8.0.2 InDesign. In the past Adobe always made updates available until a major new version was r
