Highlighting different plots

I have an application where I generate10-20 different plots on one graph. I know how to use the legend, but it's still tough to see which plot goes with which data set. Is there a way have the individual plot names show up when I mouse over a plot? It would be like the excel plots. When you put your mouse over top of the plot, it tells you which data set your looking at.

You can find code which will tell you which plot you're closest to here.
You can modify that to get the plot name even without clicking and to display it.

Show different plots on chart legend

I was wondering if there's anyway to control which plots show up on the plot legend. I have created a graph that can display different plots (by making different sets of plots visible and the rest no visible) but I can't figure out a way for the plot legend to change with me... I see property nodes to manipulate it's height and position... I can use property nodes to show more plots on the legend, but it will always start at the 1st plot... if I have 2 sets of plot
set 1 = plot 1, plot 2, plot 3
set 2 = plot 4, plot5, plot 6
and I choose to make only set 2 visible
I would like the legend to show plot 4, plot 5 and plot 6 (without showing plots 1,2, and 3).... but I can't figure out how to do this, is it possible?

It is the property name plot.name. Be careful how you fill the name in because the order that is displayed. If you make 3 invisible but want to change the name for 4, I am not sure, but I suspect that it will change the plot name 4.

I am able to extract specific data and plot a graph for the different Freqs (see "array extract from pivot file_for email.VI). I would like some help to be able to now make a plot at a fixed Freq but different Temps (so plot will have 3 graphs:25, -30, +70 for the same freq say 136).

How can I stop shared files in iBooks being highlighted by different family members?

I Have family sharing set up which is great for sharing apps and music however I have a problem with iBooks. My wife and I both use ePub files which a re study material. The great thing about these is that we can highlight and add notes to files.
THe problem is that our individual highlights and notes are shared with each other. So I get my wife's highlights and notes on top of mine.
We ha ve tried clearing all ePub files from my wife's ipad, and only syncing them to mine. She then downloads her own copy of the ePub file. So one has the original which is on our iMac and one has another copy. This makes no difference as iTunes recognises them as the same file.
We'd be happy to switch off family sharing for iBooks to prevent this but that doesn't seem possible. It's all or nothing. I can't turn off family sharing completely as my wife will lose access to our shared music library.
Does oes anyone have any suggestions? Basically, we want to share music and apps through family sharing but have a separate collection of books even though those books might be ide bridal before we annotate them.

Have you tried going into the Preferences on iBooks on your Mac and unchecking the option for syncing across devices?

Does anyone know why the mixed signal graph stops allowing traces to be drag'ed and dropped between different plot areas?

I have a mixed signal graph that allows me to drag and drop my traces between the plot areas, then it stops allowing it.
If I start with a new graph it allows it but eventually stops allowing it.
I have 4 XY charts feeding the one mixed singal graph through a bundle function, then I run it once and drag my traces to the correct plot area
and hope that it keeps working.

That sounds like some interesting behavior. Can you reproduce what you were seeing, or have you continued to be able to drag the signals to other plots since you saved and reopened your program?

Why are filenames highlighted in different colors?

Just upgraded from 10.2 to 10.4 i believe and im noticing filenames ALL OVER the place with different colors to them and i cant figure out any system to it, what is that all about?

This means that the files have a label assigned to them; Mac OS X 10.2 will not display labels in the Finder but Mac OS 9.x, Mac OS X 10.3 and newer systems will. To turn off a label, control-click the file in the Finder and click the x furthest to the left under Color Label. The files may have color labels because they were set that way when they were placed onto the hard disk, or if the label has been changed after putting them on.

JTree - Highlighting a different node dynamically

Hello All,
I am using a JTree to display a tree hierarchy. I have a situation, in which, the Tree window should update in the sense, point to a different node ( A different node has to be selected) based on user input.
Say the tree has root and then 3 children

- A
- - B
- - C
- D
- E
Each hyphen indicates a level, now when the user types B in the text box I need to update the currently selected node as B, and when he types E it should update to E Automatically. I googled online in general, and also saw that the action listeners are based on some action performed on the tree... but is there any function that can be trigged externally to update the tree selected data?
Also It will be great if there is a way in which my TreeSelectionListener event is not triggered during this change.

you can add key listener to your text field. Then invoke the method valueForPathChanged() of tree model. For example see small piece of code

How to show two different plots with current system time and date on waveform chart

I am using one waveform chart to display the more than one value continiously. The data are comming properly but i am not getting my system (pc) time and date on x axis. It is showing default date and time (i.e.01/01/1904 5:30:45). Please give me suggestions to display the real time and date on x axis of waveform chart.

How does your data look like? Do you graph waveform data types, dynamic data, or plain arrays/clustes? In the case of plain arrays, you need to set x0 to the absolute start time of your data, e.g. with a property node.
I you would attach your code (or an image) we could offer more specific advice. There are too many possibilities.

In Numbers, can I highlight/colour differently to show high and low level requirements from the Y Axis?

I have a line graph in Numbers 09, but would like to either fill the chart between two points on the Y axis which shows the upper and lower limits of a set of results. Is this possible? I don't seem to be able to select the two points I want and end up with the Grid lines being all the same colours when I select colour or the Chart fill is all or nothing!

I have done it both ways, the way you have suggested, the drawing of two lines for Upper and Lower limits and a combination of the two. They are all working fine. As you say, with use, I'll find other things that can be done with it, certainly from an aesthetic point of view.

When doing a search, the websites I have been to don't highlight a different color. How can I change this so I know which ones I have looked at?

On IE when I am doing a search the webpages I have been to, turn a purple color. Can I set Firefox to do the same thing? How would I do that?

That is the visited color.
You can check the Visited Links color: Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors: Colors
Make sure that the History is enabled: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Remember my browsing history
Make sure that you do not run Firefox in Private Browsing mode, see [[Private Browsing]])
To see History and Cookie settings in Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting "Firefox will: Use custom settings for history"

Different Colored Highlights in JEditorPane

Hello there,
I have a question regarding different highlights. I have multiple highlights in different color. Is there any way I can selectively remove highlights.
Meaning say, I have two highlights one with red colored painter and another with green colored painter. Then is there a way, wherein I can remove highlight for the highlight in green color while retaining the highlight in red color.
I did something like this
Highlighter.Highlight[] selections= edit.getHighlighter().getHighlights();
for (int i=0; i<selections.length; i++) {
Highlighter.HighlightPainter painter= selections.getPainter();
//DefaultHighlighter.DefaultHighlightPainter painter

But the getColor() method is there only in DefaultHighlighter.DefaultHighlightPainter and not in Highlighter.HighlightPainter.
May be I am missing some small thing.

How to provide different plot series for a Plot Chart.
The IDs of the series are given in a ComboBox control

Series are stored in an array. If there is only one series, then you can change it simply by "pushing" a series into a new array, and then assigning that series array to the chart. If you are replacing one series in the chart series array, then you have to figure out which to remove and put the new one in.

How to highlight different color in bar chart above the mark

Hi friends,
I have a bar chart in which im displaying it in blue color in obiee 11g. In graph properties i have set a scale marker to the point 4000, so that a line is appearing horizontally at the point 4000 in the bar chart. My chart is exceeding above 4000, as it reaches upto 5000.
I need to set a color to the graph such that from *0-4000, i need to have one color* and above from 4000-5000 i need to highlight it with a different color.
How to possible it to highlight with different color above that *4000 mark in my bar chart*.

From your initial post I thought you meant you wanted to change the colour of the bit above the line for every bar that went over the line.
The solution above works because stacked bar will use different colours for different measures - by splitting your original measure into one measure for the data up to the line and another measure for any data above the line you achieve this. Bars that don't cross the line will only show one colour, bars that do cross the line will show two.
eg
original measure/new measure 1/new measure 2
2000/2000/0
3000/3000/0
5000/4000/1000
5500/4000/1500
The other scenario is that you want the whole bar to be coloured if it crosses the line. If that's the case then there is a conditional formatting section under graph properties->style->style and conditional formatting.

Report Query - Highlighting the cells that have a new value...

I have to display a report in alv in web dynpro abap.
In that I have to display two fields and both the fields are locations of different months.
If the location is different than the previous one then i have to display cell with the new location in red color or highlighted.
How can I achieve this.???
Only for the changed ones it has to be highlighted or different color..... I repeat.

IF want to display 2 locations , one corresponding to location of previous month and other corresponding to location of curr month ,and if 2 are not same then current month location should be highlighted or displaying in red color . If this is what u want to do then try following .
1]    In context where ur data to be display exist - In LIST NODE along with attribute Location_previous_month , Location_current_month add attribute "COLOR" TYPE WDUI_TEXTVIEW_SEM_COL .
2]   Find out the column which has to be marked with a different colour based on its content ( Location_ Current_ Month in your case ) . Assign the context attribute "COLOUR" to the "Cell Design Fieldname" attribute of the respective column. This can be done while setting Column attributes for each of the ALV Columns

OA Framework - Help Needed in highlighting one of the rows in Custom Page

Hi Oracle Gurus,
I am new to OAF.
I have a requirement like I have to highlight one of the rows in a Custom OA Page.
These rows exist in a table structure,they are basically Claim records of the employees.
All these rows are from only One View Object. I just need the total row alone to get highlighted in different color.
I tried updating the Custom.xss file in $OA_HTML/cabo/styles.
Below is my Custom.xss file

The VO has decode operation that decides the CSS style which will be used via Controller.
I have applied the CSS file thorugh the Controller code that I have given below.

I am successful in Interating the rows of the table.
I am being able to print out the view attribute "EmpDep", But when I tried highlighting the row attribute using Row object,it is throwing me an error.
The error code is :
Error(88,40): method getEmpDep not found in interface oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OARow
Error(88,13): method setEmpDep(java.lang.String) not found in interface oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OARow
I have already give the Query for the VO in the Thread.
Could You Plz let me know what is wrong in this code?
