Horizontal scroll bar in tabular form with columns freeze

Hi All,
I have a requirement where i have to create a tabular form in which the first three columns should be in freeze mode and it should have a horizontal scroll bar.
with the help of Google i found an example [http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=267:46]
I want the same thing as in the example but with first three columns in freeze mode
But could not find out how to create this column freeze and horizontal scroll bar.
Let me know if you have any idea on this

It is easy to look at the page source and see what they have done
if you search for var d1 = document.getElementById("d and d1 you see some javascript doing the magic.

Horizontal Scroll Bar Disappeared in Web Report(BW 7)

Hi All,
We have just upgraded one of our Developement BW system from 3.5 to Netweaver 2004s, with support pack 7.
After running our query in Web, we have found that all our reports has no horizontal scroll bar to display the query column. This in turn pushes the corresponding Chart to theleft extreme of the viewing area.
I have tried to reset the web item properities of the table , but no help.                                                 I have compared the web item properities for the table in the system where upgrade has not been applied yet. It is same.Scoll bar does appear in BW system where there is no upgrade.
I have searched the OSS for answer, but did not find any answer.
Did anybody face this issue after upgrade to BIW 7 ?
Our WAD is ver. 3.5 Final release.

Horizontal scroll bar not appearing-Alert report screen

Hi All,
I have an agent setup which shows alerts and a report is fed as an input/delivery content. The report is fairly big with many columns and cannot fit in the standard alert screen hence need a horizontal scroll bar to view all the columns. But unfortunately there are two vertical scroll bars which are appearing and no horizontal scroll bar. Could the experts please let me know if this is a bug or is there any configuration that I am missing?
OBIEE version: 11.1.1.5
Any help would be appreciated.

Horizontal Scroll bar problem with CL_GUI_ALV_GRID

Hi Experts,
I have created Dynamic ALV by using CL_GUI_ALV_GRID . Everthing is working fine if all the data is displaying in single screen. But if the number of columns increase with the output of data the horizontal scroll bar is not working.
It is visible but when I click to scroll it to the end of screen it is not working. Can anybody help me that what can be the problem?

Please reduce the container size in the screen thru SE51 that automatically create the scroll
or check whether in the attributes of the screen "Hold scroll positio" not to be checked

How to have a table with a horizontal scroll bar

Hi All,
I need to develop a page in which i have around 15 columns in a table to display in a table format.The requirement also says that after the first 4 columns ,all the remaining columns in the table should have a horizontal scroll bar,so that the user can see the remaining columns as required by scrolling horizontally in the table.
Is this possible to do in OAF and if yes how?
I created a table region with 15 columns but i am getting a horizontal scroll bar on the page but not on the table.Please kindly suggest .

I guess the functionality they are looking for here is similar to freezeing of some columns in excel sheets. This makes the initial columns as it is and rest of the columns have scrolling enabled. This is useful in scenario where there are a large number of columns and while looking at last columns, you will probably like to see the first couple of column data as well to map to see which id or user it belongs to. Just a useability case :-)

Help with code for inserting horizontal scroll bar in photo gallery in Business Catalyst site?

I am using Business Catalyst and Dreamweaver to create a trial site.
I am not sure if this is the correct forum to post this request but anyway I have inserted a photo gallery module at the bottom of the sidebar in the homepage of my test site.
Can anyone advise on whether jquery or any other code can be inserted into the page or module code that will replace the "next" hyperlink below the first 4 photos with a horizontal scroll bar at bottom of the gallery so users can just scroll through all 12 images ?

Have you tried putting this rule back as it was originally:

That is, changing your 9px back to auto.

No horizontal scroll bar on the tJable.
In order to see long cell data we have to eliminate other columns of the table.
I need an horizontal scroll bar on the JTable if the data in a cell is longer.
Could somebody help me out?

Horizontal scroll bar moves with page up/down

I'm new at this and apologize if I don't have the right forum, but can't find any reference to my problem anywhere. A month or so ago the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the screen started moving up or down with the page as I used the vertical scroll bar to page up or down. The bar partly disintegrates if I click on it, but mostly remains in place and obscures text on that line. If there is more than one page I can make the bar disappear by scrolling the to the next page, and then back. This happens only when I'm on the internet, and appears in news pages ( e.g. NY Times, BBC) and on my e-mails (I use Hotmail). I have a Mac mini, 1.66 GHz, OS 10.4.11, all other updates offered by Apple. I'm sure this is not a Safari problem, and my searches for Apple viruses, Trojans, Worms, has found nothing about this (there are discussions about vertical scrolling, but these don't seem to relate to my problem). So can anyone tell me what this is and how to get rid of it? Thanks for any help. TJ Wont

I've got the same problem. It started when the BBC introduced adverts onto their News website. As the page loads an advert (or sometimes whitespace) appears between the tab and the BBC News banner. This is then shifted to the right hand side when the page fully loads.
I suspect that there's some fancy DHTML going on that Safari isn't rendering properly.
Problem doesn't occur if the Safari window is maximised to full screen width.

in my interactive report the horizontal scroll bar is not visible and i have created a scroll bar with the html code and i have a problem in that scroll bar when ever i will click the select list and if i will move the scroll bar and the select list is also moving but it the select list dont have to move .pls give me a solution for this urgent.

A region with horizontal scroll bar?

I do have a page with 2 regions next to each other:
region1 region2
In region1 I am retrieving and image from database. This image has fixed set of attributes like width and height. In region2 there is a text retrieved from DB. I would like to configure region2 so it will have same (fixed) width and height so in cases where there is more text so it would cause region2 to be taller there will be a horizontal scroll bar.
Is this done through ccs styles? Can any body advice how to accomplish this?

Bug: 4.1.1 Tabular form with all columns conditional

I need to make all the columns in a tabular form conditional because in some situations the editable elements should not be shown. For some reason just changing the columns to conditional stops the form working, the ApplyMRU/ApplyMRD process runs but does not action the changed rows. I can't figure out why at all or any workaround.
You can easily reproduce this in 4.1.1 by creating a tabular form with the wizard selecting one column in the form. Then make the row selector colunn and your editable column conditional using the plsql expression 1=1. The form is displayed the just the same with these true conditions but it doesn't work. How weird is that?

In your scenario the tabular form rendering engine is unable to place the hidden, internal tabular form status columns in your form, i.e. the columns that contain checksums, etc. The logic that places these columns looks for the last unconditional, visible column in your tabular form, and includes the hidden fields there. So you need at least one column that's always shown for this to work. This can be an otherwise empty column. I filed a bug (#13881803) for this, so we can look into improving this logic.

Tabular form with onhover comment column

Hi guys!
I was wondering if anyone of you saw an example of onhover item help with query...I mean..lets imagine a tabular form with a text field Comment column. Comment column has width 50 but we all know that comment ale like to be long ;) I'd like to see full lenght comment every time I put my mouse pointer on a specific row. Is it possible ? If yes can you show me an example or point me in a good direciton...(I dont know javascript well..)

Yes it is possible. Currently the ShowPopup script displays the value of current cell (hv_item.value). You can just simply replace with whatever you like.
If you're talking about the value of other columns, you may have to use document.wwv_flow.fXX to refer to it. How to get the Horizontal Scroll Bar for a Table?

Hi All,
As per my requirement, I am displaying several records in a Screen in a Tabular Format. But here I have to show 21 Columns in that table which is too high. I am able to display it but due to it I am getting a Horizontal scroll bar for the whole screen since all the columns are not getting displayed in the normal window screen space. But its looking too odd since once I am scrolling it to right the columns are getting displayed but the above Header Bar and Global buttons are not displaying, they are bound to the normal screen space.
Is there a way to have a Horizontal scroll bar only for that table instead of the entire screen so that on scrolling that bar only the table rows will beshifted ant got displayed?

include a raw text item before and table item.
include the appropriate HTML tags in raw text item to enable horizontal scroll
