House Accounts
How can I create House Accounts that all Users can access irrespective of their role. Public Sharing Groups are on a User by User basis -- I need all Users to automatically fall in to the share rule.

changing the domain type to Relay disables the edge blocking feature where e-mails to invalid users are blocked by EOP. In my eyes this is a very important feature so you should use one of the following ways to have the valid recipients in EOP:

Is it just me, or is the documentation on Office 365 filled with contradictions and not written in a way that's understandable, even for seasoned IT pros?
In short, does EOP require Active Directory to use non cloud accounts?
I'm having a problem with spam on a NON Active Directory integrated mail server. Nowhere in any online documentation that I found (about 10 hours of googling) says that AD is required to implement EOP.

But when I attempt to use EOP with my office 365 accounts, with local email (not exchange online), my mail is bounced because the accounts aren't found. If I create exchange accounts, mail doesn't come to my local server, it stays at exchange online.

Can I use an iCloud email address that's been deleted from another account?
There was one house account, mine, which is an old @mac.com address from way back in the iTools days.
I made a couple email aliases for my daughter when she was younger to use for school.
Now, she has her own iPhone. I gave her another email address (hername @ att . net) so we could register her own Apple ID, and get the confirmation/activation email.
With me so far?
So now, in order to use the Apple bells & whistles, you need an iCloud email. When I try to create one, it says that both the @icloud.com addresses I tried are already in use. (Trust me, they're unique to us.)
I made sure to delete the aliases from my main account, but I still can't use them.
My question is: How long will it take to release those deleted aliases for use again? If at all.
Off topic: What happened to our old Support Communities login ID? I had to use my Apple ID and now I look like a first-timer. Is there a way to merge the old account into this one?I don't think that's possible. As mentioned here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mm6b1a490a, "Aliases are not transferable. Only the iCloud account that created the alias can use it. Once you create an alias it cannot be made into its own account."

G/L accounts associated with Bank Accounts number

Can somebody tell me please, Is there any way to check the G/L account number associated with Bank account number.
I checked Table T012K and found something, for example
G/L account-Company Code

I need to know weather 323022367(Bank Account number) is associated with 3050042(G/L number)
SonuPlease check OBVCU tcode where Bank house account linked with G/L account. Check the Bank account for selected Company code and in the tab Bank Subaccount, the bank subaccount is your G/L acct. I think you will get your information in this tcode.

Shared house/moving house - changing name on bill/...
Hi
I am moving out of a shared house - I have been looking after the BT account as the named person on the bill was rubbish and paying on time. My email address is attached to this account.
I have ordered a new BT phoneline/broadband in my own name for my new address - however it has attached itself to the older account as I have used the same email address.
My question is - how do I remove myself from the shared house account? And is it possible to pass on the account to another member of the household? I tried to update the details online but it is not possible to isolate the two accounts. If it is not possible to move the contract over to someone else that is fine; would it be possible to cancel one account whilst keeping the new account open?
Thanks!You cannot change the name on the account without cancelling the original contract in your name. The other person would then have to start a new contract in their name.

Exchange 2010 can't send or receive email with attachments.

We have an Exchange 2010 server, running under Windows 2008R2. Both the server and Exchange are current for Windows and Exchange updates. Exchange is on SP3 installed about a month ago with no errors reported in the event logs.
The problem is that attachments over about 1 MB do not send or receive and no error message is returned. If I send an email message with a 3 MB attachment to myself, it reports as sent in Outlook. On the Exchange server the message queue shows nothing in
the queue. I try to use Exchange mail flow tracking tool and it hangs when selecting “messages received from” option. I gave up waiting after 5 minutes for the display to populate.
As the server is set attachments should be able to send and receive up to 20 MB.
I checked and verified all settings I could find related to this. I checked with the Exchange Management Console per the following article:

Details from the articles noted above:
First test was to attach a 3 mb text file in Outlook sent from my in house account to my in house account. After 5 minutes the test message was not received nor was there an error message returned.
Checked The Exchange server mail queue and there was nothing in the queue. Checked the Exchange mail flow tracking tool and it hung when selecting “messages received from” option.

How do you reset Admin password (when not logged in as Admin)??
Here's my predicament. I set up 3 accounts on our laptop - one for me and my wife (Standard accounts) and a House Account as the only Admin. Now, I don't remember the password for the House Account, which serves as the Admin.
I am trying to load new software, but it request administrative privileges. To make matters worse, when I try to install the MAC OSX startup disk (like the help manual says you should to reset the admin password), before my computer will restart the startup disk, it asks me for the Admin password. Because I am not logged in as the Admin, I can't even restart the computer when prompted by the startup and install the OS again.
Any suggestions or help with this issue?
EricDid you create an Open Firmware password as well? If not then just insert the OS X Installer Disc into the optical drive and restart the computer. After the chime press and hold down the 'C' key until the spinning gear appears below the dark gray Apple logo.

I hope that this will help all those safari user that have been resisting the urge to put a fist through the screen like i was.
1) there is a hidden 'library' folder in the "home" (looks like the little house) account -- you have to unhide it and make your change there
2) i found it by doing a search for "pdf plugin" in the search area (by that litte mignifying glass icon thing)
3) here is the path. home/library/internet plugins/
4) once you are in this folder you have to swap out all the old crap that's there for the new/updated stuff
this is were you made sure your plugin are correct
HINT: i copied all the pdf related plugins from the other "library" (the ones that were recent installs) into this one

F.05 - Foreign currency valuation of customers and vendors
Hello all,
My client wants to post the valuation differences realized gain/loss from exchange rates for customer and vendor open items to the customer/vendor account itself.
Meaning, at the moment the F.05 creates the accounting documents for revaluation of customer/vendor accounts like this:
Balance sheet adjustment account = Gain realized account or
Loss realized = Balance sheet adjustment account
and the required acc doc is:
Customer/vendor = Gain
Loss = Customer/Vendor account
What configuration are neccessary for the required acc doc to be posted automatically the differences.
Or is this even possible?
I mention that for G/L bank and house accounts valuations the acc doc is correct.

It is not possible to post the Re-Valuation Document to a Sub Ledger Account. Generally it is posted to an Adjust Accout and offsett will be Gain / Loss Account.
If your Customer Recon Acct is 124000 then a new account e.g 124001 need to be created and then Re-Valuation Document will be posted to this account once you configure the same in OB09.
The New Account 124001 will also be a Balance Sheet Account but not a Recon Account.
I am sure that the client wants to post the Revaluation Document to AR / AP instead of to a Balance Adjustment Account. It does not mean to post directly to subledger account.

I backup A company db and restore to B db in SQL Server no error. I have COA, payment terms, AR (control acct), AP (control acct) in level 3 all active accounts.
I tried to enter first Customer but failed. tab 5 "Accounting" the AR can not see the ... button or orange arrow key to drill down the GL COA. I did not setup "Payment System" on tab 4 or "Ship To" "Bill To" yet.
Error "no matching records found for "Business Partner" (OCRD) (ODBC-2028) [msg 131-183].I ran the Query Generator and saw the customer entered one customer and one vendor now. I think she has missing data in House Account setup, now it's working.
Since B company db is a blank db so I think I did overwrite the existing data from your thread I saw.
Like to know how to get solution for error msg in any useful link for SAP B1? Thanks.

Modifying Existing Structure for Characteristic
hello,
I am modifying several queries in a workbook - v 3.5
Business wanted to add a 0employee (new salesman - Jim Long 500) to each tab(query) in ithe workbook.
Each query appears to use a 2 global structures. One in row - characteristic. One in column - key figures.
I do not see anything special for additional calculations in the cell editor.
The row characteristic structure - " Sales Region:" had 3 dfferent selections
1. Bob Jones region
jim bob 100
susie q 200
2. Jerry Andrews region
Happy Jill 300
Larry Lu 400
3. House Account (formula) region
Was told to add Jim Long to Jerry Andrews region.
Did a right click - got context menu - chose EDIT - received question about do you want to update this reusable structure - I said yes.
Successfully pulled Jim Long into Jerry Andrews Region (selection within structure) and can see it under Larry Lu 400.
After closing the edit selection box in query designer and look at the structure "Sales Region" in the row, I do not see the changes.relfected.

jim bob 100
susie q 200
2. Jerry Andrews region
Happy Jill 300
Larry Lu 400
(would expect to see Jim Long 500 here but do not -still as it previously was)
3. House Account (formula) region
Also, the regions appear to open/close like a hierarchy.
It has been a long time since working with structures.....Is there something else that should have been done to successfully add this new person?

regretfully 3.x is not as direct as 7.0 -- In 3.x once you have moved that value into the structure - you will need to right click and use the context menu - SAVE (again) - you have to save it again before it becomes a permanent part of the structure.

PLD: Default Check Print Template

I have created a new check templete with PLD and would like to set it as default for only certain Vendors. However, when I choose "Set as Default," I am only given the per user options. When I try for all other sales and purchasing docs, I see both per user and per BP default options correctly.

To make your things easy , you can do like this
1. Go to Administration -> Setup>House bank accounts
2. Here you can select the template based on House account
3.Select the template you created .
If you are using two bank accounts , you can select template for each house bank account
Limitation to your problem: It identifies by bank , not by vendor .But if you decide that you will write a check from only that bank for vendor with address ,you can achieve this .
Regarding the follow up, it is not possible to have for multiple BP

Apple Mail, GMail and Cableone
I see a lot of problems on here with imap/pop and gmail, but not one that addresses my issue so...
Cableone recently "partnered" with google gmail to handle their email. I didn't realize it until I went in to set up a short term email for my husband. I couldn't get it to work and called cableone and was then informed of the new mail changes.
A tech support guy helped me set that account up and all my other emails—we have 7 accounts—and they work fine except my sound doesn't play when I receive mail AND several more boxes are set up at the bottom of my Mail for those imap accounts AND my Dock Mail always says I have double the messages that I actually do have AND my little "clock" next to our email accounts doesn't spin like it used to. Now, these might not be big deals but I want it to work like it should and all of these issues have only shown up when I set them to IMAP.
So this morning I called Cableone and said I want to set our MAIN account back to POP with GMail and let it work for a couple of hours and see what happened. He helped me do this and warned me that I might lose some of my emails and since there weren't any important ones on there I said it wasn't a problem. I am not liking the GMail imap. Since I only set our main house account back to POP and it can be done and work fine, here are my questions:
If I lose some that I've stored on my computer in "On My Mac" can they be retrieved?
And what is the major difference between POP and IMAP and am I safe with it being POP with GMail?Still need help. I was on the phone with Cableone yesterday and deleted all my email accounts and added them back on with remote access help from them. Worked when they emailed me a test email, but again I'm not getting all my email from them. When I check online I see emails I'm not getting. BUT I am getting all of them on my MacBook Pro. Now, how can that be? I have the iMac and MBP sitting here together and the MBP gets all the emails but iMac doesn't. Does anyone know what I can check to see. MBP runs 10.5.8 and iMac is 10.6.4 is the only difference. This is very frustrating, but surely one of you gurus can think of something. I really don't want to have to change ISPs. Please! TIA

Why do I need to install Office a second time?
I have a Mac 27' and its great! I love it lol but I have a little problem. I've installed Microsoft office 365 on my computer and my brother made another account for the house to keep separate from his account. When I go to the house account I have to "re-install' Office even though i have already installed it the first time.. I'm just wondering why i have to installed it again after i have already installed it the first time.
Ask Microsoft. Their requirement, not Apple's.
