House of cards 3. Staffel, 6. Folge

  • House of Cards, 2.season, in german

    Hi All,
    hope you can help me. When the 2.season for House of Cards will be available in Itunes Store ?   I still cant find ...thanks.

    We are fellow users here on these forums, we won't know if/when it might be released in a particular country.
    You can try requesting it that it be added, but it will need to TV company/right-holder to pass the series to Apple and grant them a license to sell it in your country's store : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

  • Credit Card  - Authorization in VA01 - RFC

    Hi Experts,
    i have read many documentation regarding credit card on VA01, but can not find an answer for it:
    When working on VA01 with credit card funtionality, how is the connecion with the 'payment gateway' being carried out? Is there any specific Idoc / RFC connection that SAP provides for this? or it has to be developed specifically? How is the set up working..
    Thanks and lot in advance,
    Iñigo

    Hello,
      did you read also this help document:
    Payment Card Interface to Clearing Houses - Payment Card Processing (SD-BIL-IV) - SAP Library
    It states that you need to develop your own function module to call via RFC the external software for the authorization, and assign it via customizing.
    Best regards,
    Andrea

  • MSI GS70 GTX 765 graphics card issue

     I've been using the laptop for close to 8 months and had no problems with it until I felt the need to plug it to an external monitor via a mini dp to DVi cable. It worked perfectly for a few days. I watched a few seasons of house of cards on it and one day, all of a sudden the external monitor is blank and from here on it doesnt work when connected to an external monitor. i tried the hdmi port instead, i tried the other mini DP port. I also tried a lot of different things like updating the nvidia grpahics, updating the intel graphics, I uninstalled and reinstalled all the drivers, finally after doing all of this and getting no results, i restored the laptop to its factory settings, thinking that this must be a problem that windows 8.1 caused. Even after getting it back to windows 8, its still the same. in the device manager, under display adapter, right next to the nvidia geforce gtx 765m, there's a hazard sign. So that means it detects the graphics card, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be working. I tried installing a varied bunch of nvidia drivers too, if that means anything . Can anyone point me in the right direction?
    I've posted results I got from GPU-Z. The clock rates of the GPU seem to be at zero. I'm glad that it is getting detected, but there's still the hazard sign in the device manager. What gives? :/

    1. Make sure the mini-DP to DVI cable is not damaged first. Borrow another laptop or machine to try the cable to make sure it's okay.
    2. Remove all NVIDIA drivers and install the NVIDIA driver from here: http://www.msi.com/support/nb/GS70-STEALTH.html#down-driver
       Select your OS to download. Remember to check "Perform a clean installation" while running NVIDIA driver installer.
    3. Press Fn+F2 to manually switch on the video output (MSI shortcut key function).
    4. Press Windows+P to manually switch on the video output (Windows function).
    5. If none of the above worked, update your BIOS & EC & remove all power sources of the laptop & poke the reset hole on the right side. Then power on again.
    6. Try step 3 & 4 again.
    4. If still none of the above worked, I'm afraid you may need to send it to local authorized service point to find & fix the problem.

  • RFC - Receber chamada do R/3 ao gravar VENDA

    Caros,

    In Customizing for Sales and Distribution, choose Billing ® Payment cards ® Authorization and settlement® Maintain clearing house ® Set authorization/settlement control per account "
    Estou retirando essa informação do link abaixo:
    Payment Card Interface to Clearing Houses - Payment Card Processing (SD-BIL-IV) - SAP Library

  • X1 Carbon - Come on, Lenovo. A little conscientiousness, please.

    I would like to express my disappointment in Lenovo's product and their lack of apt customer service.
    I bought my X1 Carbon (adaptive keyboard) in Singapore while on holiday sometime late March.  I started using it mid-April.  I am currently residing in the Philippines.
    In the beggining, I had no issues with the unit.  Come late May, the screen started flickering in and out, accompanied by glitches and static formations - this happened usually when the device was running with a heavier load.  Apart from flickering, I noticed that the screen was a tad dim despite being at full brightness.
    Come early July, I contacted the service hotline (redirected to call center in Malaysia) to explain my concern.  The customer representative concisely told me that a technician from their partner in the Philippines would contact me very soon and drop by to wherever I am to repair the unit.  That I had nothing to worry about.  Clearly the customer representative knew this to be a known concern as he had very few questions before concluding his diagnosis of my unit.
    The wait was more than 2 weeks before I contacted the service hotline again, expressing concern that nobody got back to me despite getting an assurance that my issue would be resolved expeditiously.  This representative assured me that someone from their service center partner would contact me within the day.
    This still did not happen so I procured the number of their service partner and made the call myself.  After much confusion and a lot of time sapped, we finally got on the same page and they found that, indeed, I had a pending case and that they are waiting for an LCD Panel and LCD Cable for my unit.  A few days later, on August 01, 2014, the technician was in front of me, tinkering with my laptop in an attempt to replace the parts.
    As an aside, I asked the technician why the paint on the screws on the bottom of my supposedly brand new unit was faded.  He told me that my unit was likely not exactly brand new but a repaired-brand new unit.  That when shops receive a unit, they run it for some time and if they see a problem, they repair it then sell it still.  A reason why I went to an authorized Lenovo dealer was precisely because I wanted to relax in the idea that I would receive a laptop that corresponded to the price and hassles I went through.  Certainly not a repaired unit.
    While the technician was attempting to dismantle my laptop, I saw that he had a hard time.  I asked him why and he said it was his first time handling a unit like mine.  This did not sit well with me, as I am sure it would not with most others.
    When he got to replacing the LCD Panel, I saw that the panel that came with my laptop had a lot of black fingerprint smudges on it.  Does this not say something about the Production Process and Quality Control?
    Further, he realized that the LCD Cable supplied him was not compatible with my unit so he decided to use the old cable, in hopes that the LCD Panel was the only culprit in the flickering issue.
    When he put everything back together, there was no display.  From a flickering screen to nothing.  He went and opened the unit up again to find out why - this took a few hours of trial and error, ending up in no display, over and over again.  Finally, as he was trying to remove the Panel again, he saw that he did not attach the LCD Cable properly.  He rectified and the unit worked but with the screen still dimmer than it should be - something he confirmed as a symptom of a faulty part, probably the LCD cable, he mentioned.
    He told me that within 5 days, he would get the new LCD Cable to me, along with a sim card cover, which he damaged.  I followed up within those 5 days and the representative from Lenovo's service center partner tersely deflected my concern, telling me to go and call Lenovo as it was not their concern.
    As I have been indisposed for some time, it is just now I have found the time to write this.  Nobody has gotten back to me since August 01, again, despite previous assurances.
    In this post are an inordinate amount of concerns with Lenovo and their unit.  To summarize, and hopefully get some feedback and assistance:
    - Authorized Lenovo seller in Singapore sold me a seemingly repaired unit - basis: paint on screws were faded, technician mentioned that it had indeed been opened (dealer S.O.P.) and battery portion was tinkered with, which led him to presume there was a previous battery concern.
    - Lenovo service hotline and service supplier partner here apparently had flimsy coordination as I, the customer, had to call both parties up to follow-up on my concerns.  Took much longer than was promised.
    - Wrong parts sent, technician, albeit seemingly capable with Lenovo laptops, had no experience with my unit.  Leading to hours of trial and error and damaging of a portion of housing (sim card cover).  And due to the sheer amount of moving around the hardware, seals within do not stick well within and a good bet that parts are looser than ought to be.
    - Further weeks of waiting despite claims of getting the right part sent to me within 1 week.  Still waiting, into 3rd week now.
    - Production process / quality control issue - black smudges on original LCD Panel.  Isn't this hazardous for the individuals in the production line?
    - Oh, and what started everything - factory defect laptop, like many others on this board, with a dim and flickering screen.
    Before I purchased this unit, I had, for some time, been looking to purchase my first Lenovo unit.  Hoping to experience that legendary workhorse quality and reliability.
    Given its mid-range specifications, this unit is pretty expensive.  Imagine my disappointment when I paid a hefty price for a brand new device to later find out it was not only a repaired unit but a lemon in other parts of its hardware as well.
    No replacement of unit, passed around by representatives who either did not care or were not qualified (I am clumping Lenovo's partners as part of Lenovo, yes), ridiculous amounts of waiting time, and still no resolution.
    Overall, a top company with 3rd rate practices and service.  Simply indecent.

    Mine shuts down randomly.
    Post-sales: disconnected after 1.5 hours on hold. Thankfully I was doing work and had phone lying on my desk so I did not waste 1.5 hours of my time on hold.
    Tried online chat - "call post sales"
    Now called again and on hold for 35 minutes.
    This is ridiculous. I paid through Amazon Payments - will contact Amazon and see if I can have any recourse through Amazon.

  • My experience with Tiger/new Powerbook 15", 1.67 ghz

    Apple proclaims "Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger. The world’s most advanced operating system."
    Well, that hasn't been the case in my experience.
    I bought a new 15 Powerbook HR, 1.67 ghz, 1.5 gb ram, 80gb hd on 11/4/05 (from MacMall). At this point I have about 20gb free.
    Problems I have noticed with it/OSX.(Most have been fixed by an archive and install done a few weeks ago.) Here's my trial by fire.
    In chronological order
    - trackpad lags
    - many icons not correct after using Migration Assistant.
    - some icons open up the wrong applications
    - window resize button on Finder, and some app windows, doesn't open window to full screen. Also doesn't open window so that scroll bars disappear.
    - dragging a file up or down a window in list view doesn't always make the window scroll up or down when I go up or down to the top or bottom edges. When they do move, it races. Smooth scrolling has no effect.
    - CDr recorded on a machine with OSX 10.3.9 shows up as a recordable CD!
    - screen dims when I disconnect power supply
    -Network option from the Go menu does nothing.
    - Doing a Get Info on a html file has Internet Explorer as the app to open when the files have Mozilla icons
    - icon for some apps have wrong application logo on them
    - screen dims and brightens rapidly, disconcertingly in low light. I turn off the ambient light adjustment on the monitors control panel. This is poorly implemented. Having the keys light up is nice though.
    - can't reset F7 key to take pictures of screen. (I eventually am able to do it.)
    - the clicker gives me a sharp pain in my arm from the second day of use. This has gotten better now but I was worried I might be getting carpal tunnel/repetitive stress injury. (This happened when I got my new Powerbook Firewire too, eventually going away.) The clickers are too stiff when new.
    - I call Applecare. They don't have my registration information I gave them when I signed up on the web. We reset the Power Manger.
    - Quicktime movies have no sound. I later throw out the LAME stuff (Component and Framework) and get sound back.
    - I go to Genius at Apple Store. They tell me I am using a non-native resolution, that is why I am having screen dimming. (Wrong. It was the ambient light control.) They also say whatever software I have installed is likely to be causing most of the other problems.
    - I get Finder freeze #1
    - Preview does not animate gifs. It did with 10.3.9.
    -System sounds do not work. Upon reboot they do. Flakey.
    - some finder windows are not opening up with the item count in list view.
    -desktop gets rearranged
    -occasionally keyboard turns letters into numbers as if number lock is on. It isn't. The it will stop working altogether. Rebooting cures this. (Happens twice before I call AppleCare.)
    - call AppleCare. They have my old address when I bought the Powerbook! I get registered again.I cannot install GarageBand, which I threw out thinking I didn't need it, because the install DVDs that came with my machine have an error reading the software only package. They will send me a new install disk #1.
    - scrolling is not smooth, races.
    - I notice the memory door has 3 out of the 4 screws loose. I tighten them. The battery door feels a little loose too but that is unfixable.
    - keyboard doesn't respond #3
    - I call AppleCare. They have the wrong address still in their database!
    -eject DVD does not work. (It works all other times.)
    - system freeze #2
    - kernal panic #1
    - Call AppleCare. My TechTool Deluxe CD will not boot. I ask for a replacement. (I can't believe they are still using TechTool Deluxe. I remember what a hassle it was trying to get a working disc with my Powerbook Firewire.
    - keyboard types wrong characters #4
    -Print preview does not work. (it does all other times.)
    -Preference for video capture program (BTV) is not remembered
    - audio is only heard when BTV is running (since fixed.)
    - system freeze #3
    - keyboard stops working #5
    - I call Apple Care. We zap P-ram 3X.
    - file sizes incorrect in list view. Have to open window a second time to get correct info.
    - install DVD #1 arrives. It is defective.
    - system freeze #4
    - I update to 10.4.4. I hope this will cure the problems. Nope.
    - Help doesn't work.
    - Battery firmware update process works but isn't smooth. It crashes "unexpectedly" as I check to make sure it is really done. (It kept telling me I needed to do it.)
    - Help works.
    - boot takes forever after 10.4.4 update.
    - battery firmware update wants to run again.
    - file size is wrong in finder list view windows.
    - keyboard stops working #6
    - fan stops yet processor is still VERY busy as I am calibrating battery. Charge is about 5%.
    - I quit IMovie, It then says it quit "unexpectedly". (This happens with other apps still.)
    - I have to use power key to wake it from sleep, as I calibrate battery.
    - keyboard problem #7
    - system freeze # 5
    - text editing in iDVD is very buggy. Cursor is impossible to see against background with many themes. There is no way to increase cursor size.
    - AppleCare says they have sent TechTool Deluxe CD. I haven't gotten it yet.
    - I receive install disk #1. 2 actually. I install software bundle only. It works! I also reinstall CPU help files. Help still doesn't work.
    - I archive and install. (It installs 10.4.2 so I update to 10.4.4), Help doesn't work.
    - Help works without my having done anything. OK.
    - I repair a gazillion permissions. (funny how when you install the system software the permissions then need to be repaired. You would think the system would know to set the permissions correctly upon installation.
    - I notice the order of the right hand menu items has changed (clock, keyboard setup, OS 9 icon...)
    - file sizes wrong in list view
    - BTV has audio loop at times. (See thread on Topic "New Powerbook Audio Stutter / Looping / Echo problem in Using your PowerBook G4 15-inch Aluminum forum.)
    - keyboard problem #8
    - keyboard problem #9
    - I call AppleCare. TechTool Deluxe CD has still not arrived. We discuss other problems. I get hung up on.
    -keyboard problem #10
    - I go to Apple Store. Talk to the genius. He tells me the system software is "a house of cards", adding other software can cause unpredictable results. He zaps P-ram 3x, does something in open firmware. Recommends a clean install. I think about it and later decide not to.
    - I lose system sounds after I install USBVison video capture driver for Tiger. I eventually get it back.
    - I repair LOTS of permissions.
    - The fan starts to make bad noise.
    - system freeze $6
    - I do a Get Info on a file I making with BTV. The OS tells me it is 11GB. I stop the recording and then I check again. It says it is 1.5 gb.
    -iChat won't open. It starts, according to Activity Monitor, runs for about two seconds and then disappears.
    - Network, under the Go menu, does nothing.
    - I call AppleCare.
    - I notice cursor disappears in Firefox.
    - Yahoo IM icon keeps getting moved. All the icons it is next to are spaced about the same but this one keeps getting moved.
    - I Stuff some stuff. The fan keeps running, it is still hot after I am finished. I have to reboot to get things back to normal.
    - Some icons for PING files on my desktop have changed from having Preview icons to Quicktime icons. I use Get Info to change them back from Picture Viewer (OS 9!)
    - the fan comes on with only my normal apps running (Eudora, Firefox, Yahoo IM)
    Ok, that is about all up 'til now. I still haven't gotten my TechTool Deluxe CD but need to give that a few more days. I now have 8 install DVDs. (Another install #1 came yesterday, making a total of 6 #1, and 2 #2s) The address on the invoices are finally correct, most had the wrong town but the right zip code which I had corrected many times.
    The problems that are still recurring are the keyboard problem, applications still sometimes crash "unexpectedly" even though I am quitting them, the file sizes are not right the first time around in finder list view windows. Most everything else was cured by the archive and install. Little weirdnesses still crop up though. I am not sure if the echo problem has been fixed. (Mac OS) Help is still slow to appear.
    Thanks for bearing with me. I do hope things get smoother in the future. I have been using Macs for about 10 years now, starting with a used SE and 7.something, going to a refurbished LC 580 and 7.5.5, a new Powerbook Firewire and 9.2.2. I have also used 10.3.9 which seemed to be a lot more stable than 10.4.
    Cheers,
    John L

    If it was me I would backup to DVD/ External HD if you have and erase / reinstall OSX.
    Update all and once you are finished without the user folder / any of your files on torture the Pbook to see if this happens again.
    This likely will be able to give you an idea about hardware or software problems.
    If all is well , likely not then copy "COPY" over from the backup you "ONLY COPY" documents, music, Photo's, desktop stuff and also place programs back in Applications folder.
    The reason for the above is that in the /user/"you"/library folder it stores the settings for Icon's, prefferences to programs and some other useless stuff + E-mails for either Mac Mail and or Microrubish Entorture "entourage" depending on what you have or used also Itunes prefs.
    Once this is copied leave the "/user/you/library" stuff alone and see how it runs.
    App's/programs will ask to have it's preferences set again as if /when you have installed it for the first time.
    Likely most of the issues if software was in the/becuase of the settings in "/user/you/library".
    If this solves a lot of problems the go with care and copy the "E-MAIL +/OR ENTORUTE/ENTOURAGE + ITUNES" to the same place as where they came from but obviously in /user/you/library/ subfolders etc. same subfolders.
    For Entorture search for a file called "database" as this holds all the e-mail for entourage and by copying it, when you next open Entorture it will pick-up all emails + adresses etc like it was never moved also in the same spot as it was in the new instalation / subfolders etc..
    If all this fails and you as close to what I reccomended here, there is then still some issues then likely it is hardware related.
    How do I know this : Had for 5 times in 365 days had my Pbook in for repair so I have had to about 120+ times had to reinstall OSX 10.3.9 and/or Tiger.
    I hope this helps as for hardware I am buying Alienware or Extreme as they can upgrade the cpuvideobasically all else except the motherboard " amd opteron 64 dualcore + Nvidia fx quadro 1400 + 1 or 2 hd's + 1/2 dvd's etc. etc. $2500"

  • LR 3.3 crashes when I go to Develop and takes down my whole XP system

    I've been trying out Lightroom 3.3 - first the release candidate and  now the 30 day trial (a week and a half left). The problem emerged  shortly after I installed the final version in mid December, but  continued when I fell back to the Release Candidate. At this point I'm  back in the final version, since the RC expired with New Years.
    I'm running XP Pro Service Pack 3, which has been stable for a long time.
    I  can have Lightroom create a catalog of my nearly 19,000 photos, which  are on a fast external firewire drive, and it runs fine for a little  while, letting me use all of its modules.
    Then it froze when I tried to go to Develop  - forcing me to close it with the close button on its title bar.
    Then it froze on startup the next time - which I found I could avoid by deleting the stranded .LCK (lock) file.
    I've  taken to starting it by clicking on the catalog file I want to use (I  have it back up the catalog on every normal exit) after deleting both  the lock and journal files.
    Lightroom's freezing would  be bad enough in itself, but after I close it with the close button  after a crash, it takes the rest of XP down with it in a freeze that  starts a few seconds later if I try to click inside the Explorer window I  started it from.
    Sometimes I can avoid the  delayed-action house of cards effect by closing that explorer window  with Task Manager, but not always.
    Is anyone else experiencing this kind of behavior from Lightroom?
    I love it when it works, but it drives me up the wall when it takes down the whole machine!

    I disabled the nVidia Desktop Manager that came with my video card through its Control Panel applet and the problem was solved.

  • Any way to Restore Last Manual Sort Order or Prevent from being Overwritten accidentally?

         Help!
         I'm constantly accidentally overwriting painstakingly created manual sort ordering (sometimes hours but more often months of accumulated work) in folders with files numbering up to 1,000, when i, however breifly, switch to another sort ordering (size, date modified etc) to check something, immediately forget that i'm in another sort order, and, unthinkingly (actually i guess i'm thinking of a lot of other things) drag a file to another position, this immediately destroys any past manual sorting i've established, overwriting it with this new inadvertent manual ordering.
         I've tried CommandZ (edit undo) but that only undoes my last rating or labeling, i've rushed to force quit Bridge through the activity montior hoping i will catch it before its overwritten, but obviously i am not as fast as a computer, and i don't think this has ever worked.
    Is there any way or any script someone has written to formally save a manual sort order? Is there anything i've missed to attempt restoring it? Has anyone, repeatedly foiled by this, written something that would give a warning and require confirmation say for instance, if i tried to drag or move a file while in another sort ordering (this seems like something that should have existed the minute the opportunity was given to create manual organization). Would anyone be willing to?
         Seriously, me forgetting almost every time isn't going to change and, more vexingly, it's even happened when i didn't mean to move anything but fumbled momentarily while in another sort order. I think most people might forget because (in the context of computing) we are conditioned to expect a warning if something we have just created is about to be written over or discarded, and since there is no option to formally save a manual ordering we have just created.
         Also, if this was in the real world, moving a single file would not reshuffle everything on your desk. If i had the option to formally save a manual organization i would NOT forget to do this and would use it, as i've wished for one every time spent a while rearranging files. Knowing how easily all the hours (much less months and years of cumulative work) of organizational work can be accidentally lost makes working within Bridge unpleasantly anxious.
          I'm literally willing to do anything including installing some sketchy 3rd-part scripts (though honestly i have no idea what that means or how to do it). I extentively use and rely heavily upon this function so this is a fairly serious Achille's heel. It's like watching your incredibly important meticulously constructed house of cards collapse with a careless but innocent sigh, or like having the equivelent of a not even charming cat dance across your keyboard during a live concert, etc etc....
         Also it is not usually appropriate, given the context, to batch rename everything to preserve a manual ordering w sequence numbers, etc. Often the filenames are considerably (but necessarily, to connote important differences) long already, and when i have to rearrange things in the future would have to do that each time, etc, etc, making for even more unwieldly filenames that didn't have any substantive information at the beginning. I'm looking for a way to make this function (manual sort ordering), well, more functional, secure and stable, the workarounds i've considered cause too many additonal problems.
         Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to offer, and as this is my first attempt to use the forums as i live on a boat with no regular net access, would appreciate any forum etiquette corrections, and advance apologies for any misspellings, dyslexic and spellcheck does not seem to work in this interface. next time will edit in external wordprocessing program beforehand,
              li'l mc szpf
         PS i'm on a 27" mac w CS4 Design Premium, w up to the minute OS (10.6.8) and Adobe software updates installed recently (i do not often move the monster but this week was housesitting w net access, so she has had all recommended shots and vaccinations....)
         PPS I know most of y'all might be running the newest and the latest of everything, but, i'm fairly certain this is still a problem in recent versions as this has happened to me at school where all the macs are running cs5. Though if it's been addressed somehow in cs6 would update entire suite just to fix this one problem in Bridge. I've tried many searches and found nothing relevant or wouldn't bother the considerable expertise and resources of an official forum, was extremely hesitant to ask (feared getting snapped at for unwittingly broaching forum etiquette) but it is truly the bane of my considerable Bridge existence, so was willing to risk the imaginary censure and opprobrium....

    That is a good question, to do this requires two functions and a restart of Bridge all done automagically
    Copy and paste the script into ExtendScript Toolkit
    This gets installed with Photoshop and can be found:-
    PC: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Utilities
    MAC: <hard drive>/Applications/Utilities/Adobe Utilities
    Start Bridge
    PC: Edit - Preferences - Startup Scripts
    Mac: Adobe Bridge menu - Preferences - Startup Scripts
    At the bottom click the "Reveal Button" this will open the folder where the script should be saved.
    Close and restart Bridge.
    Accept the new script.
    To use:
    Tools - Backup Manual Sort
    This will backup the hidden manual sort file .BridgeSort to .BridgeSortSave
    Tools - Restore Manual Sort
    This will copy the .BridgeSortSave back to .BridgeSort and will close and restart Bridge so that the manual sort is restored.
    if( BridgeTalk.appName == "bridge" ) {
    var backUpManSort = new MenuElement( "command","Backup Manual Sort", "at the end of Tools" , "backupms" );
    var RestoreManSort = new MenuElement( "command","Restore Manual Sort", "at the end of Tools" , "restorems" );
    backUpManSort.onSelect = function () {
    var fileSort = new File(app.document.presentationPath +"/.BridgeSort");
    var fileSave = new File(app.document.presentationPath +"/.BridgeSortSave");
    if(fileSave.exists) fileSave.remove();
    fileSort.copy(fileSave);
    fileSave.hidden=true;
    RestoreManSort.onSelect = function () {
    var fileSort = new File(app.document.presentationPath +"/.BridgeSort");
    var fileSave = new File(app.document.presentationPath +"/.BridgeSortSave");
    if(!fileSave.exists){
    alert("No backup file exists");
    return;
    app.document.sorts = [{ type:"string",name:"document-kind", reverse:false }];
    if(fileSort.exists) fileSort.remove();
    fileSave.copy(fileSort);
    fileSort.hidden=true;
    app.document.chooseMenuItem("mondo/command/new");
    app.documents[0].close();
    app.document.sorts = [{ name:"user",type:"date", reverse:false }];
    Hope this works for you.

  • ITunes 12.1 not syncing TV Shows with 1st Gen Apple TV

    I recently purchased season 2 of House of Cards via iTunes on my Mac. My 1st generation Apple TV and my 12.1 Version of iTunes syncs my music, pictures, movies, but not the TV shows. The setting are set to "Sync All Unwatched Shows". I reset my Apple TV to "Factory Settings" and reconfiged everything. Everything syncs except the TV Shows. I only have 2 Apple TV errors for 1080 movies that I know will not play on my Apple TV. I have download many TV Shows in the past and have had no problems syncing. This occurred since I upgraded to iTunes V12.1. I was traveling for 2 months and playing the TV shows directly from my MacBook Pro via HDMI cable. I updated iTunes in January and just returned home. This is the first time I tried to sync with iTunes 12.1 and Apple TV.

    Yes, fix needed here or I'll have to start considering MS and Apple of the same breed. Software that does things for you that you don't want it to do is Microsofts design that caused me to move to Apple long ago, and releasing software that "Just doesn't work" isn't very Appley... Or is it now? Hmmm...  Maps anyone?
    That aside, my related problem is with the "Unwatched" sorting of TV shows which is very oddly messed up, not consistantly all have changed in one direction or another and they are oddly changing in the wrong direction in some cases without my touching the manual (Rightclick) setting.
    With this issue, a major convenience of Apple TV and other devices is turned into an inconvenience.
    Please fix.

  • Where has Mozilla's open browser gone? Why is there going to be DRM in my Firefox?!

    What happened?! Why is this happening!?
    Can This Web Be Saved? Mozilla Accepts DRM, and We All Lose
    It's official: the last holdout for the open web has fallen. Flanked on all sides by Google, Microsoft, Opera and (it appears) Safari's support and promotion of the EME DRM-in-HTML standard, Mozilla is giving in to pressure from Hollywood, Netflix et al, and will be implementing its own third-party version of DRM. It will be rolled out in Desktop Firefox later this year. Mozilla's CTO, Andreas Gal, says that Mozilla "has little choice." Mozilla's Chair, Mitchell Baker adds, "Mozilla cannot change the industry on DRM at this point."
    At EFF, we disagree. We've had over a decade of watching this ratchet at work, and we know where it can lead. Technologists implement DRM with great reticence, because they can see it's not a meaningful solution to anything but rather a font of endless problems. It doesn't prevent infringement, which continues regardless. Instead, it reduces the security of our devices, reduces user trust, makes finding and reporting of bugs legally risky, eliminates fair use rights, undermines competition, promotes secrecy, and circumvents open standards.
    It's clear from the tone of Gal and Baker's comments, and our own discussions with Mozilla, that you'll find no technologist there who is happy with this step. The fact that Mozilla, in opposition to its mission, had to prepare and design this feature in secret without being able to consult the developers and users who make up its community is an indication of how much of a contradiction DRM is in a pro-user open-source browser.
    Unchecked, that contradiction is only going to grow. Mozilla's DRM code, imported from Adobe as a closed-source binary, will sit in a cordoned sandbox, simultaneously Mozilla's responsibility but beyond its control. Mozilla will be responsible for updates to the DRM blackbox, which means users will have to navigate browser updates that will either fix security bugs or strip features from their video watching. Mozillians have already been warned of the danger of talking too much about how DRM works (and doesn't work), lest they trigger the provisions in the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) that forbid "trafficking" in circumvention knowledge.
    Baker may think that Mozilla cannot change the industry on its own (despite it having done so many years ago). Sadly, it changes the industry by accepting DRM. It is these repeated compromises to the needs of DRM advocates by tech company after tech company that are changing the nature of personal computing, transforming it into a sector that is dominated by established interests and produces locked-down devices, monitored and managed by everyone but their users.
    Past experience has shown that standing up to DRM and calling it out does have an effect. As we have said to the W3C, and Cory Doctorow spells out to Mozilla in this Guardian article, we can do much more to fight the negative consequences of DRM than simply attempt to mitigate the damage of its adoption.
    We need to work to end the reinforcement of DRM and criminalization of fair use in the DMCA and similar legislation being spread throughout the world. We need to speak out about the failings of DRM, even if we fear that DRM proponents will just make it worse (in the name of "improvement") or take civil or criminal actions under the DMCA. We need to challenge the baseless assertion that users don't mind DRM as long as they can watch House of Cards and demand actual evidence to justify the damage it causes. And, given the amount of compromise we have already suffered, we need to spell out the principles that we won't compromise on.
    Mozilla and the W3C are both organizations with missions intended to defend and promote the open web. Both have now committed to a system of content control that is seen as a violation of those principles by many Internet users. We, and they, can change that story. We need to redirect the ingenuity being wasted on attempts to limit the damage of introducing DRM into the heart of the Web toward a positive campaign against further incursions.

    Sorry, as important as this issue is to all of us who use Firefox, this is a Firefox support forum - not an appropriate place to start a discussion like this.
    I'm locking this thread for two other reasons though. <br />

  • Macbook pro retina boot failure

    Just got my new Macbook Pro Retina.  Migrated my applications and data from my Macbook Air.  Everything worked great.  Apple Update advised that new updates were available.  I accepted and ran the updates.  Now it gets a kernal panic at boot.  Can boot into Safe Mode however.  I used Command R to reinstall OSX but that did not correct my problem.  Same kernal panic persists.  Am reinstalling OSX one more time.  Understand the error is due to a Thunderbolt Driver update but don't understand why the reinstallation of OSX did not fix my problem.  Pretty depressing to purchase a brand new computer only to have it fail within moments of getting it due to software.  Couldn't reach Apple Care this evening.

    You have my sympathies. I bought a MacBook Pro Retina. I tried to migrate my data 10 times in at least four different ways with no luck whatsoever.
    Apple tech support wanted to help but couldn't. Try this. Try that. Nothing worked.
    I blame Apple. Why would you put a new port, Thunderbolt, into a new computer without also putting adapter cables into production. It's a $20 part. It not a matter of easier to use it's a matter of use at all.
    The Thunderbolt to ethernet was just not up to the task of a 250gb data transfer.
    I couldn't use Time Machine because some other bright Apple engineer never thought that someone would use Time Machine to migrate their data. I got an error message telling me it was not possible to go from my 2 year old MacBook Pro to the new one. So they knew there was a problem but they didn't bother to fix it.
    After wasting 12 hours, I had to rebuild my system by hand. Something I haven't had to do for the last 6 years. I'm still trying to get my house of cards back to where it was.

  • Pages 5.1 error when trying to open documents

    Hey everyone,
    So I'm running Pages 5.1 and today, for the first time and seemingly out of nowhere, Pages has decided it will not open any files I have stored in iCloud or saved to my desktop barring one exception. If I send a document from iCloud via iMessage to myself (on my iPhone) and open it on my Mac, Pages opens it. Any other .pages file will not open and provides the error "The file "Document Name" could not be opened" with no explanation. It appears there are more than a few of you experiencing the same issue. Anyone have any luck?
    Now, PeterBreis0807, before you paste in your form response that I've seen all over the discussion forums I would like ot say that I am aware of the difference between Pages 5.1 and Pages 5 and Pages '09 and all of my documents are updated to the current standard and open and are editable on my iPhone and iPad and up until this evening were openable and editable on my iMac too. The only way I can get Pages 5.1 on my iMac to open a .pages file (one that has been opened on my iMac in Pages 5/5.1 previously and recently) is to send it to myself in an iMessage (or possibly an email, I haven't tried that) and extract the file from the .zip that iOS houses it in when sending via iMessage before opening it in Pages 5.1. Then the document is editable and and I can save it and everything. As soon as I close the document and try to open it again, "The file "Document Name" could not be openend".
    What. Gives?

    I was not going to post that because you made it clear what you were dealing with. For most people it is the 2 versions problem (amazingly they don't notice the obvious differences).
    You have given a work around which we can suggest to the next person to have the problem.
    Beyond that, all I can say is Pages 5.1 is extremely buggy and I would not trust it for any real work. I just play with it and answer posters' queries.
    I have no doubts as to what the root of the problem is, and that is the complexity of what both Apple is attempting to do and the file format with which they are doing it. They are not meet their own KISS standards and inevitably the house of cards topples every time someone opens the door.
    Why are you persisting with Pages 5.1? That's inviting trouble.
    Peter
