How can detect user's click on "Back" button in browser?

Hi java gurus:
I use servlet as a controller to show pages. If user click "Back" button several times, and execute an operation in the page, at that time the attributes in the session is for the page before clicking "Back". So the operation run with the wrong data. How can I deal with this condition? Can I detect user's click on "Back"?

Any request made by a client could be "stopped" after
the session has been updated with the new timestamp.
This would leave the client sitting viewing a page
that has an "out of sequence" timestamp in the hidden
field with no way to get out.Yes, the client could stop the request and have no valid unique String to submit. However, the technique is only designed to detect out of sequence pages, it does not mean the user has no way out! Remember that the server side code can respond to the fact that the request is out of sequence in any way. Certainly, they could choose to lock the user out, but more often than not it will be a more intelligent response than that.

makes a request of type b before the type a request

It may, for example, ignore the fact that it is out of sequence if it finds the data it needs in the session store. It may force the user to start over, or any other action which makes sense -- It's going to be very application dependent.

How to clear the portal form fields while clicking on Back button in browser?

Hi All,
I have a portal form, which calls another form. When I types in a value and presses submit, it goes to the new
form with the information on it. When I click on the back button in the browser, it will show the last value user
has entered. I want to clear these values, when I click on the back button in the browser.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Lets assume that the name of the field, whose value you want to clear off,

Steps :-
1> Edit the form and goto the Additional PL/SQL Section
2> Add the following code to the "...after displaying the page" area

Clicking the back button now causes a drop down of past sites to show up in addition to moving back a page. It won't go away until clicking somewhereIrritating

Whenever I click the back button, the browser will go back a page and also open a drop down of past pages. This drop down won't go away until I click somewhere. It is irritating and it never used to have this functionality. In fact, my laptop at work does not do this. I am using 37.0.2. Is there an option somewhere to disable this? I don't mind having the drop down, but not EVERY time I click back.

Today, two other users reported issues with the back-forward history list dropping down if they hovered the mouse pointer over the back or forward button -- without clicking -- and then moved the pointer downwards. One user was on a touchpad, I don't know about the other user. Are you experiencing anything like that?

BDC - How to ignore skipped screens when user click on back button

Hello all,
I am working on a module pool program. From this custom transaction I am calling a standard SAP screen using BAC call transaction. I am calling this screen by skipping 2-3 screens and user can directly see the 3 screen on an event on my custom transaction.
Now my issue is whenever the user want to back, he clicks on back button then user have to back from all the screens that I skipped.
Is this any way by which if user click on back then he can directly go to my custom transaction.
Please suggest.

I am calling IA06 - Inspection characterstics screen from my custom screen using BDC.

I also think the same that it's not possible. Now my issue is how to get my requirement.

To open Classification screen directly we have a function module CLFM_OBJECT_CLASSIFICATION. But if I want to open IA06
Inspection characterstics screen we don't have any FM or API to do the same.
So how will I get my requirement done. That why I use the BDC call transaction to open IA06 Insp. characterstics screen but here I am facing this Back issue.
Please advice if there is any suggestion.

I hate the update of the bar. It has totally done away with being able to skip back several places in the browser; now I can only click the back button and go back one page at a time. I otherwise hate the new layout, too. How do I undo this?

I can't choose a specific page to skip back to but must click the back button over and over to get back to where I want to skip to. The little headings "most visited," "getting started," "Youtube," etc. have changed. They look more colorful, but I hate how the home button is clear over to the right side of the page, etc. What was wrong with the way everything was before? I HATE this new update, and I didn't even want it.

You can get the drop down list by either right-clicking on the back/forward buttons, or holding down the left button until the list appears.

Is the address on your account based in France ? The language of the stores should reflect the language of the country where your account is based, which isn't necessarily the same language as you've set on the device.
If your account isn't based in a French spealing country, then try logging out of the account (via Settings > Store) and then log back in (and also make sure that your address is correct and complete), and see if the language of the iTunes and App Store the reflect the language of the country where your account is based.

Issue of data getting wiped out when user clicks on back button..

I have a selection program which displays ALV on execution. Now I have programmed the "Back" Button of standard toolbar so that when comeone clicks on it, it should leave to selection screen.
WHEN 'TBACK'.
LEAVE TO TRANSACTION SY-TCODE.
But when I do that, the values entered by user during execution of selection screen wipes out and all the selection fields become empty. How can I make sure that when sure clicks on 'Back' button, the selectiuon screen is presented but with values in which user put during execution.

Leave to transaction sy-tcode is as as good as call transaction...so basically using this statement will start the transaction afresh..and give a new selection screen....
Better option would be to leave to screen 0 (preferaby used for a report )which will take you back to the previous screen processed or leave to screen XXXX for a particular screen( in case of a module pool )

hello there thank u so much for ur reply!! ok i uninstalled mackeeper now and the put back option is still in grey im so confused...i tried restarting my computer like u said and put back still in grey??!! the files that are in my trash are everything from Accounts,address book plug-ins,address book,adobe,aim.........then stuff like apple,Audio,....to caches color pickers,colors,com.apple.TCC,to DVD player to facebook,google to ilifemedia browser to itunes to keychains to movie effects,preferences printers to skype...my Native instruments files BUT not all of them my garage band but not all of it...it seriously looks like my whole library is in the trash i tried to put things back where i THINK they belong and it just added the item or folder under where i thought it went and didnt restore functionality to for instance google chrome and all my book marks are there....they seem to be only certain things from my library that would have added some functionality to apps and programmes like my garageband is missing stuff photobooth wont work so on.......kinda looks a bit like this thats only the half of it!! Firefox is highly customizable and you may be able to customize it to meet your needs.

To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.

Once you have the drive connected to your Mac, click System Preferences (gear icon) on the dock
Click Time Machine
Click Options
Be default, the hard drive will be Excluded from backups. Click the drive to highlight it, then click the "-" (minus) button at the bottom of the list to remove the drive from Excluded items.
The drive will be backed up on the next Time Machine pass
Everything above assumes that the hard drive has been formatted in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) as Time Machine will only backup drives in that format.

Your web pages on MobileMe have been deleted. If you were using iWeb you wouldn't have been able to open them anyway.
As long as you have the iWeb 'Domain' file in your user Library, or whatever the program you are using stores the information in, on your Mac you can publish to another hosting service - there are plenty to choose from. More information here:

You need to repartition the drive. While booted from the DVD, select Utilities > Disk Utility from the menu bar. In Disk Utility, select the boot drive from the list on the left. It will have a long name starting with the capacity in GB. Click on the Partition tab. Choose "1 Partition" as the volume scheme. Click on the Options button near the bottom of the window, then click on the button labeled "GUID Partition Table." Finally, click Apply. When the partition finishes, you can quit Disk Utility and go back to the Installer. You should now see your internal drive as available for installation.
