How can I add artist name on playlist if it is blank?

I imported a bought cd of Blonde on Blonde, but the programme did not recognise
album, artist, songs etc, so all fields on the playlist are blank.
How can I manually add this? I remember doing it on an older version of itunes.

Unfortunately there are some webpages which Reader Mode won't work with. If Reader Mode isn't compatible with a webpage you won't see the book icon won't appear in your URL bar, but you can try to force it by adding "about:reader?url=" at the start of the URL. For example:
about:reader?url=http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04p5b36
From here, there will be a button at the bottom-right of the screen that will add an item to your reading list.
If this doesn't work for you, it might be worth trying bookmarks. You can [[Bookmark Tags - Categorize bookmarks to make them easy to find|use bookmark tags]] to organise the bookmarks you want to read and keep them separate from the rest of your bookmarks. For example, I often bookmark articles and tag them "to read" if I know I'll want to come back to them later.
Bookmarks have the added advantage of being [[How do I set up Firefox Sync?|synchronised with Firefox Sync]]. So if you use Sync, you could bookmark something to read on your tablet, and finish reading it when you're at your PC.

How can i add custom art to playlist cover on iPad/iPhone/iPod?

I make a lot of custom playlists, with songs from multiple albums and sometimes multiple artists in one playlist.
Most are created on my Macbook Pro OS 10.6.8 (iTunes 10.6.1) and manually copied over to the devices- i don't automatically synch because my music libary is too big and complex. IE, iTunes is set to Manually Manage Music for these devices.
On my i-devices (primarily iPad 2 and iPhone 4), the playlists show up without art work for the playlist, just a generic picture of a musical note, even tho on the source Macbook the songs have cover art. I find this actually dangerous for use in my car, because it forces me to read the playlist titles. Just glancing at pictures would be much safer, quicker, and easier. But i can't find a way to make all the playlists show cover art.
Playlists i create on the devices themselves DO show a tiled image of all the album covers for the art work.... which is fine. but i can't figure out a way to get playlists that are copied over from my Macbook to show art... and that's the main source of my playlists.
help?
i have too many devices -there's also an older iPod Touch i use in addition to the iPad and iPhone- and too many playlists to create each playlist on each device from scratch so that it shows artwork.
Anyone have suggestions?
(btw, if solution involves upgrading to Lion, i can't; i have software i have to use that doesn't work in Lion).

"Current iTunes Song" - How can I make artist name first THEN song title?

When I have "Current iTunes Song" selected, it shows the song title first and then the artist name. I would like it to be reversed so that people on my buddy list can easily see the artist instead of the song title.
I have been able to locate a very easy solution to this in the past, but that has seemed to vanish into thin air and I cannot find it.

Right-click the track in your iTunes library. Choose Get Info, and go to the Info tab. Type what you want into the Artist field, and then OK out.

You have two separate questions here...
To get all your music into one playlist, select Music in the sidebar and click the Songs view at the top. Then, highlight all the songs and drag them into your playlist.
I don't know if it's possible to download all Purchased content (or do you mean iTunes Match content?) at once; try a few Google searches.

Thanx for your reply. No, although helpful, that's not what I meant. In outlook, the first line of the header contains the full username follow by a horizontal line. Under that, the default headers like To:, From:, Subject: etc follow.
I need that firstline printed so we know instantly from which user the email was printed (the To: field often is the same name of the sender of the mail, therefor you won't know WHO printed it...).

Are you connecting to a different iTunes library than you normally connect to? That will erase the songs and playlists since the iPhone can't be connected to multiple libraries even if it is in manual sync mode.
If you no longer have access to the original library that your iPhone calls 'home', then the only way to save the playlist (and the songs on your iPhone) would be to use a 3rd party application to extract your iPhone contents to this new iTunes library you're trying to connect to.

I for one appreciate all the hardwork and help you have been giving the people on theses lists, especially with the problems associated with the "importing playlists" from windows media. Unfortunately I need more help if you or someone else can provide it. I followed all the steps you have instructed so far in the threads I have seen. Unfortunately nothing so far works for me. Maybe you or someone can help me, I'd really appreciate it. I tried the notepad++ method and when I click on save I always get a notepad file that my iTunes can't do anything with. I click the "convert to UTF-8 without BOM" then click save as and it still saves as a notepad file. I am also unable to find the \n\ file path to replace with my \C:\ filepath. If you want columns, you should consider a
ListView or
DataGridView.
